Ebenezer Cuomo is not content with killing off the old; he’s also killing off small businesses that supply the lifeblood of our economy.

Two weeks before Christmas, Ebenezer Cuomo is once again shutting down all indoor dining at restaurants in New York City. Then again, old Ebenezer is shutting down Christmas too.

Cuomo issued this dictate to end indoor dining the same day that the historic Midtown restaurant The 21 Club closed its doors for good.

The 21 Club survived the Great Depression, World War Two, and New York City’s darkest days of the seventies.  But eight months of Ebenezer Cuomo’s bungling schizophrenic COVID response killed it dead.

Since the beginning Jesse Kelly has been warning that it won’t be the pandemic that does us in. What destroys us will be the hapless, hysterical pandemic response by elected officials.

And he was right.

What governors and mayors have done in response to COVID has caused more damage to the country than the virus.

It’s like burning down your house because you have termites.

When it comes to economic prosperity, Ebenezer Cuomo was already a failure for New York. But what he’s done in the last eight months in the name of “defeating the virus” has been cataclysmic.

Governments always make problems worse. That’s just a fact. The solutions more often than not create new problems that are ten times more damaging than the original. This is especially true when it comes to their attempts to “fix” our economy.

Ronald Reagan famously said that the most terrifying words in the English language are “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

And there is no better example of how right he was than state and local governments’ COVID pandemic response.

Governments create a problem (the shutdowns), then, in trying to fix the problem create several bigger problems. Then, in trying to fix those bigger problems, create several even huger problems. And deeper and deeper into the hole we go.

Tens of thousands of American businesses are gone, not because of COVID-19. They’re gone because of state and local governments’ foolhardy attempts at “controlling” a virus.

And right now Congress is planning to step in and “fix” the problems caused by idiots like Ebenezer Cuomo by saddling American taxpayers with more crippling debt at a time when millions of us don’t have two nickels to rub together.

And this “HEROES Act?” Well, most of the money will go to bailing mismanaged states and municipalities responsible for creating the economic destruction to begin with.

The people destroyed by these mismanaged states and municipalities will, in the end, get screwed again.

Jesse’s right.

We can’t continue letting economic illiterates like Gavin Newsom, Ralph Northam, Gretchen Whitmer or Ebenezer Cuomo completely destroy the nation’s economy.

We can’t sit by while Congress doles out trillions to bail out mismanaged states while tens of thousands of small businesses close and millions of Americans lose their jobs, their homes and their livelihoods.

It isn’t COVID-19 that is doing all this damage to the country’s economy. Bungling, arrogant elected “leaders” like Ebenezer Cuomo are to blame.

And if we don’t stand up to these petty tyrants, we will be the ones who pay the price.

Not multi-billion-dollar corporations.

Not politicians.

We will.
