The “Peaceful Protests” Gaslighting is officially over

With the public losing patience for the chaos unleashed in Democrat-run cities, the media shifts gears from “they’re peaceful!” to “violence is good!”

For a week now, cable news on-air personalities and “reporters” have repeatedly used the phrase “peaceful protests” to describe the violent rioting and looting happening in every Democrat-run city across the country.

“These are peaceful protests,” they lectured as the images on the screen showed burning buildings and mobs of people looting stores.

Get it in your head, America!  These are “peaceful protests!”

Apparently the gaslighting wasn’t working – mostly because Americans aren’t blithering idiots, nor do we suffer from collective blindness.  We could see with our own eyes that these were the furthest thing from peaceful protests you could get.

We could see the videos of mobs ransacking stores, beating up innocent people, and running over police.  And, inexplicably, we were witness to a looter shoot and kill a retired police captain named David Dorn who was trying to protect a pawn shop from looting.  Why could we see it? His murder was filmed on Facebook Live.

What’s worse, the political media’s favorite Governor went on TV yesterday to decry the violence in New York City – while simultaneously absolving himself of any blame for it.

So as much as it might pain them, the garbage news media is being forced to surrender its “Peaceful Protests” gaslighting.

And if you think that means they’re going to share our outrage over the chaos, violence and murder we’re witnessing, think again.  Instead, they’re trying to justify it.

Last night on his show, the dumber Cuomo actually defended violent protests saying, “Please, show me where it says protesters are supposed to be polite and peaceful.”

How about this, Chris: “…the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”  It’s right there in the First Amendment to the Constitution.

Unlike Chris Cuomo, we’re not stupid.  We know the reason the Insurrectionist Media spent the last week calling these violent uprisings “peaceful protests” was because Americans understand that we have the right to peaceably assemble and petition the Government for a redress of grievances.  We likewise know that we don’t, however, have the right to violence, looting, stealing, arson and murder.

So they pretended this insurrection was “peaceful” in order to try and keep the American people from turning against the violent mob.

For once, Americans across the political spectrum were in agreement in their horror and outrage over the in-custody death of George Floyd.  We were in rare unity over what we saw.

But then the violence happened. And that moment of unity collapsed under the weight of burning buildings, beaten bodies, murdered Americans and mindless chaos.

This isn’t about George Floyd anymore.  And Americans are waking to that.  This is about violence and destruction.  It is about destabilizing our civil society and making us “ungovernable.”

And now that we’re wise to that, the “peaceful protests” narrative is useless.

The new gaslight is “Violence is justified.”

Or worse, it isn’t really violence at all.

I really don’t think I want a lecture on what is and isn’t moral from someone who thinks it is okay to destroy other people’s property.  But “violence is justified” is the new talking point.  And they’re going to hammer the hell out of it.

You think the news media is unaware that the American people are losing patience with this chaos?

I shared a tweet yesterday about a Morning Consult poll that showed the vast majority of Americans want the National Guard deployed to these overrun cities.

The “Peaceful Protests” narrative failed. And rather than simply report the news, the media has shifted gears as a way to justify continuing the violence.

The other day, I saw a thread by John Hayward that echoes my sentiments exactly.  He began his thread with this:

You’ll definitely want to read the entire thread.  He’s on the money.  Those who seek actual redress should abandon these violent demonstrations and go home.  Their grievances are being lost in the madness and anarchy.  The people who have coopted these so-called “peaceful protests” for their own destructive ends should not be given cover any longer.

But it isn’t just the ordinary citizens who should abandon this.  Politicians who are using these violent protests to signal their virtue, and worse, for political ends, should get the hell out as well.

That includes the insufferable Elizabeth Warren who traveled to the White House yesterday with her husband and dog in tow to create a photo-op of her own.

That includes the doddering old cooter Joe Biden who quickly glommed on to these violent protests to grovel and virtue signal by dropping to his knees in hopes that groveling to the mob secures his victory in November.  Worse still, Biden is now fundraising off of the death of George Floyd.

As Jesse Kelly often says, “Every movement, no matter how noble it begins, becomes a grift.” And Biden is grifting hard.

But it also includes every major US corporation that is kissing the ring of Black Lives Matter no doubt in hopes that the crocodile will eat them last.

They’ve lost the narrative.  And they know it. Americans are witnessing US cities degenerating into war zones, and we are horrified by it.

It’s time decent Americans walk away from this madness and stop propping it up under the false pretense that this was ever about “Justice for George Floyd.”

The means are violence.

The objective is the destruction of our civil society.

And in this the media is aligned with those who seek to destroy us.
