Congressional Democrats say there’s no Emergency

While an economic emergency threatens Americans jobs and businesses, House Democrats decide to stay home until May 4th — unless there’s an emergency.

I don’t know why you guys are lying awake at night worrying about how you’re going to pay the bills.  It isn’t like there’s any kind of emergency.

Sure, your governor and mayor might be forcing you to live under house arrest while the place you worked for goes bankrupt.  But obviously that’s not an emergency.
Chillax, folks.

Life is good!

And if you don’t believe me, take it from the Congressional Democrats.

See, they’ve decided to stay on vacation until May fourth, absent an emergency.

So clearly we are absent any kind of emergency.

Sure, the SBA loans to protect your employees paychecks are going to run out of money on Friday, and Senate Democrats blocked an effort to add more money to the program. So chances are good your business might just shutter permanently.

But clearly that’s no emergency.  Because if it was an emergency, Steny Hoyer says the Democrats would definitely get off their fat asses and get back to work.

Say, aren’t you glad you gave the Democrats the House in 2018?

If you hadn’t, why, you just might be able to hang on to your business before it gets flushed down the toilet.

Without a Democrat House majority, you might not be staring at your checkbook balance in blind terror.

We Americans can’t go back to work, no matter how much we might want to.

Yet the House Democrats could’ve gone back to work for the American people right now, but they’re choosing not to.

But don’t worry.  They would, really, honest, they would go back to work if, heaven forbid, some national emergency cropped up.

But thankfully, there is no emergency.  So the House Democrats get to stay home.

Fortunately for them, they’ll still be getting paid … by us.
