Lying Liz rewrites her history yet again

To defend her effort to sentence every child to twelve years of misery in public schools, Liz Warren lies about sending her own child to private school.

Didn’t I just last month write a post with a similar title?  I did!  If there’s one thing consistent about Lying Liz Warren, it’s that she just can’t stop lying about her own personal story.

In an effort to campaign on sentencing every American child to twelve years of public education, Lying Liz claimed that she too sent her children to public schools.



Actually, Liz sent her son to private school in Austin when she was teaching at the University there.

But of course she lied. It’s what she does.

But, really, the thing that I find more infuriating about Lying Liz is on the one hand she kvetches and complains about “big money” donors when on the other hand she can’t stop sucking up to the big money donors known as the teachers’ unions.

Her “plan” to kneecap charter schools and choke out school choice is all about throwing in with the unions.

And if there’s one thing you can say about teachers’ unions, the very last thing they care about are the students.

As Corey DeAngelis wrote in the NY Post:

Sen. Warren’s schools plan, which she released last month, is radically anti-choice. She promises to end private-school vouchers and tax credits. She’d block new programs that give families choices and work to shut down existing ones.

 She’d also ban for-profit charter schools, end federal funding for new charters and add more regulatory barriers to opening them.

 The blueprint sounds like it came straight from the teachers’ union playbook: It calls for boosts in funding to government-run schools and more red tape for their competition.

Oh, I’m sure it did come straight from the teachers’ union playbook.

Lying Liz wants that sweet, sweet campaign cash.

And believe me, there is a hell of a lot of campaign cash in them-there teachers’ unions.

In the 2016 election, the National Education Association doled out $23.7 million in campaign contributions.  The American Federation of Teachers pitched in another $8.8 million.  All told, teachers’ unions donated a grand total of $33.2 million dollars in 2016 – 93% of which went to Democrats (Hat tip Fox News).

I mean why invest in your students when you can just buy politicians who promise to choke out the competition, am I right?

The way Lying Liz Warren sees it, school choice is a perk exclusively for the well-to-do.

Whereas the rags and tatters will be given no choice but to settle for failing schools run by unions.

Unions who, by the way, are more concerned with the salaries and benefits of their members (not to mention the big, fat paychecks of their own) than whether those kids are actually learning anything.

When the Chicago Teachers Union walked off the job and left 361,000 students high and dry, Lying Liz rushed to Chicago to protest alongside the striking teachers.

And what were they striking for?

An average salary of $100,000 a year.  Apparently they simply cannot not live on the chump change they’re getting now. 

As Daniel Greenfield put it last month (dripping sarcasm alert):

A “record” 57% of Chicago students also met the national average in math.

 If 57% doesn’t deserve a $100,000 salary, what does?

 Currently, Chicago teachers are living on starvation wages of $78,211 a year. The people responsible for that 57% “record” are shortchanged with a miserly starting salary of $52,958, a beggarly $82,630 10-year midcareer salary, and a $108,242 maximum salary that barely keeps them out of the poorhouse.

I wonder what the average salary is for the parents whose children are stuck in Chicago public schools.





Whereas the parents who want school choice apparently don’t deserve any respect (or honesty) from Lying Liz.

When it comes to education, Elizabeth Warren picked a side.  And she didn’t side with the students or their parents.

No.  She’s all-in for the unions.  The parents, meanwhile, can go straight to hell.

Is it any wonder school choice advocates protested her speech in Atlanta?

But this is the problem with every single one of Elizabeth Warren’s campaign proposals.

In a nation of over 320 million people, rather than advancing Individual choice and freedom, Liz believes that every situation can be solved with a one-size-fits-all “plan” micromanaged by bureaucrats in Washington.

And the only people exempt will be the wealthy and privileged – like Lying Liz Warren herself.
