Biden Confirms Story of Hamas Beheading Babies; Can Conspiracy Theorists Shut Up Now?

Jennifer Van Laar reporting for RedState

After news broke Tuesday morning that Israeli soldiers found the bodies of approximately 40 babies, some of whom had been beheaded by Hamas, in Kibbutz Kfar Aza, most people were rightfully horrified. Unfortunately, a not-insignificant number of people on both sides of the political aisle disputed the story, wanting "proof" that it wasn't some psy-op or disinformation being put out by the Israelis. Hamas sympathizers claimed it was made up so Israel could justify bombing Gaza. Some on the far right (I hate even characterizing it that way because they're more brain-dead than "far right") claimed it was a psy-op designed to inflame Americans so we would support sending our own troops to war. Even when journalists from a wide swath of outlets confirmed the story, some even volunteering to see the bodies so they could give that witness, the doubts continued.

During remarks given from the White House on Wednesday afternoon, President Biden confirmed that he had seen pictures of the slaughtered babies. He said:

“It matters that Americans see what's happening. I mean, I've been doing this a long time. I never really thought that I would see - have confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children.”

After those sentences Biden said, "Anyway..." and trailed off. While on most days and regarding most subjects we might note Biden's words and seeming inability to find any words as a sign of cognitive issues, today, and on this issue, it's totally understandable. There truly are no words for that level of depravity.

Perhaps that will be evidence enough, but based on interactions I've had on social media -- with alleged "conservatives" -- since Biden's remarks, I'm not sure it will. I was just told that Biden's remarks weren't "irrefutable" evidence.

I'm the first to admit that one cannot take what the mainstream media reports and what Joe Biden says at face value. However, the number of people who are willing to forego all critical thought, historical knowledge, rationality, and humanity because they want to see what's happening as a major psy-op designed by the WEF and UN and whatever other acronym organizations there might be to get the United States into another war so bad people can profit is disturbing.

My counterpart at Townhall, Spencer Brown, spent some time in Kibbutz Kfar Aza a few months ago, playing with the children and fellowshipping with families. His account of that time there, along with the most recent horrors, is a story nobody wants to have to read, but one everybody should.
