If you come from the more rural parts of this great country, you probably know what calling bullshit is.
When the fish story just gets to be too much or the past high school athletic feats of your fat beer drinking friend go over the top, you call bullshit.
It’s a friendly way to publicly say, “I don’t believe you. So, either step to the plate and prove it or STFU and abandon your tall tale.”
The country, but especially the Left, needs a hearty round of bullshit calling to put an end to some of the insanity which far too many consider settled facts.
This list is far from inclusive so please feel free to add your own candidates for bullshit calling.
I call bullshit that the abstractions of the Left are real, physical things. They take the features of an individual—the only true physical realities of life—and mentally create groups they then imbue with emotions, motivations, and even agency. Bullshit. There are no such thing as blacks, whites, gays, Republicans, Democrats, etc. There are only individuals. Stop talking as though these groups exist and act and behave as though they are a single, living entity. They aren’t.
I call bullshit on the entire trans movement. As a scientific fact there is no such thing as transgendered people. Sure, there are people who feel something very strongly and interpret this—often with a lot of “help” from outside sources—as proof of their being one sex trapped in another, but that doesn’t make it so. At one time, mental health issues were treated, not encouraged. Stop talking about transsexual people and their “rights.” This only leads to stupidity like men competing in women’s sports, menstrual products in high school boy’s bathrooms, and not even being able to determine who is a male or female.
I call bullshit on the idea a doctor at birth “assigns” a sex to a newborn. Sex is solely determined by which individual sperm—X or Y—closes the deal. Nothing more, nothing less.
As a subset of this, I call bullshit on the entire gender fluidity movement. I don’t really give a damn who or what you choose to copulate with but just because you’ll take any port in a storm—or think you poop rainbows and unicorns—doesn’t make this a physical reality. My pronoun is Stop-being-an-idiot.
I call bullshit on the panic over white supremacy. The entire white supremacy movement probably numbers in the hundreds. The country was not built on it, nor does it influence much of anything. At its core, the Left’s propaganda surrounding white supremacy is really just a more socially acceptable way to push the disgusting concept of minority inferiority—especially black inferiority.
I call bullshit on leftist economics. As Friedrich Hayek rightly noted, “If socialists understood economics they wouldn’t be socialists.” Government doesn’t create wealth, it consumes it. Printing more and more money doesn’t create wealth, it destroys it: see today’s inflation. No nation has ever taxed its way to prosperity. Small, limited government designed to protect individual freedom is what our founders knew and established, and the only viable design for any society that hopes to be long-lived.
I call bullshit on the idea our political representatives are our “leaders.” Many of the problems this country faces have their roots in the transformation of elected and unelected officials from representatives of the people to leaders of the people. Does this severely limit what these representatives can and should do? Yes, that’s the goal. Stop talking and acting as though these folks are our leaders. Most couldn’t lead their way out of a wet paper bag.
I call bullshit on the idea that passing more laws will somehow magically affect criminals’ behavior. This is a common argument used for those who want to restrict and then erase our Second Amendment rights. It is estimated there are over 400 million guns and trillions of rounds of ammunition in the United States. If law-abiding armed citizens were the problem, you’d know it.
I call bullshit on the idea—prevalent in many leftist circles—that our wishes and desires can somehow magically change reality. We are a natural part of this world and nothing we can build, nothing we can do, can operate outside of this reality. Advances in the human experience have come from our discovering reality, not defining it. You aren’t a little god. Quit talking and acting as though you are.
I call bullshit on the idea that a top-down, hierarchical structure generates superior results. Due to the incredible multiplicative power of swarm intelligence and the self-organization it drives, free individuals will always generate far superior results. The “IQ” of a group of free individuals exceeds that of a top-down design by orders of magnitude. Bosses are neither desired nor required. Bosses just increase the odds of catastrophic failure. This reality has profound implications in the design and operations of government.
I call bullshit on the idea that “government” is a real, physical thing. Government at whatever level is simply a powerful, non-profit organization. “It” doesn’t do anything since “it” doesn’t exist. Stop speaking and acting as though it does. And those who staff it are no smarter and have more wisdom than you or I. In fact, if you look at college entrance exams and class standing of government versus non-government employees, most government employees are merely average or, sometimes, below average.
I call bullshit on the idea that government is required to address whatever ills face society. The reality is just the opposite.
I call bullshit on the idea that government and government schools should run our public k-12 education systems. Government schools have been failing this country for at least 60 years. And if they were truly doing their job, my bullshit list would shrink considerably.
Let’s start loudly calling bullshit each and every time we hear it and end this insanity before the greatest country the world has ever seen disappears into the ash heap of history. As a free people we don’t have to allow this. Let’s call bullshit on the idea that our societal, slow-motion suicide is preordained. It isn’t. Fight back.
