Israel has joined the Freedom Convoy movement.
Inspired by the Canadian truckers, Israelis from dozens of cities started a Freedom Convoy with their sights set on Jerusalem.
Participants called on the government to lift the state of emergency declared due to COVID-19.
Reports estimate that around 20,000 vehicles across the country participated in the convoy that included trucks, tractors, and cars.
The event culminated with large protests outside Israel’s parliament and Supreme Court to take a stand for medical freedom.
Although the mainstream press has mostly ignored the event, they won’t silence the global movement against medical tyranny.

The Jewish Press reported:
The convoy follows months of protests against government imposed restrictions and surveillance measures, which have not been covered by major media outlets. The blackout on the protests is in stark contrast to hyper-focused media coverage of anti-Netanyahu protests in the run-up to Israel’s recent elections campaigns, even when those protests were small in number.
The convoy had five additional goals beyond repealing the major corona law, according to the release: returning children to their normal routines, including an end to the mask mandate; a complete opening of the economy, including getting rid of testing and other COVID-19 safety requirements; full disclosure of contracts and protocols that have been withheld from public review and consumption, such as the full contract between the Israeli Health Ministry and pharmaceutical giant Pfizer; ending the violation of individual privacy through street cameras or other illegal surveillance; and respecting individual human rights unconditionally by the government regardless of vaccination status.
“The recent morbidity wave has exposed government shortcomings and poor management of the crisis, which in turn has created a crisis of confidence,” according to the organizers. “Many government forecasts have failed to prove true; many promises haven’t been kept and citizens are realizing that their elected members in the Knesset are detached, improvising with illogical regulations, driven by personal interests and not by the wellbeing of the public. The role of the government is not to rule but to serve its citizens.”
As Sonia Elijah explained in this substack newsletter, the Israel Freedom Convoy is organized by the people, for the people:
This morning, Efrat Fenigson, a prominent Israeli human rights activist and chief marketing officer, spoke with me in her car, whilst converging with a convoy (one of 40) heading to Jerusalem. This Valentine’s Day, bridges across Israel are expected to be lined with supporters, cheering on an estimate of 20,000 trucks and other vehicles, as they make their way to the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, to demand an end to all Covid restrictions and mandates in the country.
Needless to say, Israel’s Freedom Convoy, has been inspired by the unprecedented protests going on in Ottawa, Canada and along critical bridges across the US-Canada border, led by salt of the earth truckers, demanding the freedoms back for all Canadians, after two years of draconian Covid restrictions and mandates.
Fenigson spoke about the misleading way in which the Israeli media are covering the freedom convoy. They have chosen to disempower the movement by not accurately reporting that its about the demand for basic freedoms being restored to all Israeli citizens. Instead, they have chosen to spin it as a protest arising from increased costs of living.
