Media Says No Shame In Breakthrough COVID After Guilting The Unvaxxed For Months

Media outlets are scrambling to reassure people who received the COVID-19 shot that there is no shame in testing positive for the virus after corporate media overlords guilted red states, Republicans, and the COVID-positive unvaccinated for months.

The Washington Post published an article on Thursday urging “self-compassion” for the vaccinated who are caught off guard by contracting COVID-19. Using anecdotes from people who “diligently” and “desperately” went the extra mile to keep away from the virus, the article laments how individuals who got the jab numerous times, masked up, and even stayed home feel like a failure because they fell ill.

“Thousands who ‘followed the rules’ are about to get covid. They shouldn’t be ashamed,” the headline states.

The author of the WaPo piece acknowledges, much like recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data, that “breakthrough cases are becoming more normal and less of an exception” but says that the shame that was once imposed on Americans, especially in certain states, shouldn’t be happening now that vaccinated people are feeling bad about themselves.

The Huffington Post ran a similar article this week claiming that “Getting COVID Isn’t A Shameful Moral Failure.”

“If you contract COVID-19 this winter, it by no means indicates that you made a mistake, behaved selfishly or weren’t ‘good enough’ at preventing its spread,” the article’s author writes in an attempt to tamp down the embarrassment of some.

The same corporate media outlets that trashed red governors such as Ron DeSantis of Florida and Greg Abbott of Texas for scaling back COVID-19 restrictions are now urging vaccinated people not to have shame for getting a virus that can’t be controlled or assigned moral value.

During the height of the pandemic, corporate media banded together to criticize and shame southern states for relaxing COVID-19 restrictions and Republicans for promoting a freedom-of-choice culture that contradicts the left’s pro-vaccine-mandate stance. They gladly overlooked the rising number of COVID cases and deaths in Democrat-run states to promote an agenda that slandered members of the GOP as “superspreaders” responsible for killing grandmas. These same media giants also amplified disgust of people who opposed getting vaccinated on any religious, moral, or personal freedom grounds, a narrative that the White House gladly latched onto in its recent COVID messaging, A.K.A. fear porn.

Unfortunately, there have been no apologies and there will most likely be no apologies moving forward. As the left-wing activist and Lincoln Project founder Steve Schmidt illustrated in an abrasive and fearmongering tweet threat on Wednesday, the fight to blame unvaccinated people for all of the nation’s COVID woes is still ongoing.

The corporate media’s attempt to soothe the fears and embarrassment of the psychotic COVID panic crowd might seem like a nice gesture that signals the media is finally coming to terms with reality outside of the Twitter bubble, but it’s not. The gentle campaign against COVID guilt won’t stick around forever, just long enough to calm the anxiety of the people who keep practicing the COVID-19 panic religion.

Alarming New Study Finds That Everyone Who Gets COVID Will Die At Some Point

ATLANTA—The CDC has announced the results of an alarming new study: everyone who has ever been infected with COVID-19 will die at some point in their life.

"Yes, everyone who gets COVID will die," said a spokesperson for the CDC. "Maybe not immediately, but at some point, in the future. Almost all of those people who die will have had COVID at some point in their lives. This is horrible news."

"This is a terrifying statistic," said Don Lemon on his nightly CNN broadcast. "The correlation between being infected and eventually dying is too high to dismiss. The important takeaway here is that we should all be terrified."

In a statement from the White House, President Biden expressed that he was “shook” by the study and would take aggressive action by infringing on a few more liberties just to be on the safe side.

Conservative critics have responded by saying that everyone who voted for Biden will also eventually die—except for the ones who are already dead.

Been nice sleeping in! Here's tonight's news:

Biden’s Omi-Con Job

The administration’s COVID messaging is as elementary as it is deceitful.

Propped up by a complicit media, extra-legal Democratic changes to election laws, over $300 million in Mark Zuckerberg’s election “grants,” and the lockdown restrictions that allowed him to run what was tantamount to a virtual campaign, Joe Biden and his handlers bumbled into office on the heels of his vow to “shut down the virus.”

But did anyone really believe it? Or was the Democratic challenger’s elevation to the Oval Office simply a matter of the electorate’s Trump and/or pandemic fatigue? The latter makes far more sense, given Biden’s past failures seeking the presidency; and that little had changed to recommend him in 2020, save for not being the incumbent.

Not surprisingly, then, even before Biden took the oath of office warning signs abounded that he may not prove capable of taking charge of the pandemic. As it turned out, his administration’s plan would be guided not by medical science but by political calculus.

Numerous observers predicted that the serial fabulist and B.S. artist Biden’s “comprehensive plan” had as much chance of defeating the virus as he did of establishing “unity” amongst a divided populace. Ergo, the divisive Biden and his handlers would be focused on crafting the “narrative” (i.e., lie) that his policies had something—anything—to do with eradicating the COVID-19 virus. As one recovering politician opined in American Greatness: “The goal is to convince Americans that Biden solved the pandemic. Amid the political science that will drive Biden’s first hundred daze, did anyone truly expect a known plagiarist wouldn’t claim to have authored the pandemic’s ending?”

But this was at a time when the incoming administration had every reason to believe that the groundwork laid by the Trump Administration, especially in the area of vaccines, would soon quell the virulent “virus of unknown origin.” It was simply a waiting game for them, fending off pleas to follow the science to appease their left-wing constituencies until nature and the pharmaceutical industry took its course (and its cut, in the latter’s case).

While the initial COVID-19 virus may have had a social conscience, manifested by its refusal to spread during the BLM “mostly peaceful” protests, its variants would not prove so accommodating in facilitating the Democrats’ agenda. Thus, when poised to declare victory, Biden was forced bogusly to claim it had been blindsided by the virus’ variants, Delta and Omicron (and, if necessary, by any more that come down the pandemic pike).

So, while the media’s latest flurry of pandemic porn and state-sanctioned propaganda infected the gullible, after a roborant few days of relative inactivity Biden lurched into autocratic retrenchment on his bogus narrative that he will still deliver on his promise to defeat the virus, in whatever form he finds it.

In its component elements, the latest plan is a mixed bag of actions—some that should have been taken sooner during the earlier, more lethal phases of the pandemic; some of potentially marginal benefit; some that should never be taken at all within a free society; and every one of them performative to drive the continuing narrative of “how Joe killed COVID.” Of paramount political import, though, are the twin prongs upon which the new plan is premised.

The first is the unscientific, autocratic, and proactive scapegoating of the unvaccinated in the event this plan fails, too.

After patting himself on the back without offering a shred of supporting evidence—“Due to the steps we’ve taken, Omicron has not yet spread as fast as it would have otherwise done”—like a hammy FDR impersonator flubbing his lines, Biden gifted hard-pressed Americans with a Christmas rant of “we have nothing to fear but fearlessness.”

We are looking at a winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated—for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. But there’s good news: If you’re vaccinated, and you have your booster shot, you’re protected from severe illness and death.

And, just in case anyone missed the threat, Biden’s White House COVID response coordinator, Jeff Zients, hammered home Biden’s season’s beatings. (He did, however, sneakily walk back the allegation that the unvaccinated willoverwhelm hospitals by claiming they “may.”) In a less than unifying or, indeed, scientific, manner, he reiterated the Left’s baseline for a social credit system worthy of Xi Jinping: “We are intent on not letting Omicron disrupt work and school for the vaccinated. You’ve done the right thing, and we will get through this.” The rest of our recalcitrant republic is doomed, which is equity or something.

And that’s just fine with this administration. On Tuesday, Biden revealed that under his social credit system, the unvaccinated are un-American: “I, honest to God, believe it’s your patriotic duty.” (And you naïvely thought his callously turning his drug addicted son into a global bag man to collect 10 percent for the Big Guy from our nation’s enemies was un-American.)

As the Federalist’s John Daniel Davidson writes in his scathing analysis of Biden’s attack on the unvaccinated:

So that’s the official administration line: opened schools and businesses for the vaccinated and ‘severe illness and death’ for the unvaccinated, who will overwhelm hospitals with the omicron variant and, by implication, bear responsibility for the pandemic from here on out.

It’s one of the most bizarre and appalling statements from a presidential administration in American history, breathtaking in its dishonest scapegoating and shocking in its callous disregard for the millions of Americans who have decided, for reasons of their own, not to get the Covid shots.

The second aspect of the latest plan is how its components are heavy-handed political theater out of proportion with the more contagious but less severe Omicron variant. This may lead some to surmise an abject lack of medical science behind the dilatory Biden Administration’s disproportionate response. But a loathsome convergence of political calculus and medical science undergirds this response, for the Omicron variant’s mildness is what is driving the administration’s dire, draconian response.

The Biden Administration’s messaging strategy is as elementary as it is deceitful. As the Omicron variant continues to prove less severe and lethal and, as is increasingly proving likely, more short-lived than the initial virus and its Delta variant, the more the Biden Administration will claim its ham-fisted actions have been the reason—scientific evidence be damned (and ignored by the Pravda media who will parrot the propaganda).

And if the Omicron variant proves more resistant than expected and hoped? Saddle up the scapegoats and ride herd over them into a “Center for National Resilience.”

In a chronological listing of this administration’s COVID-19 promises and incompetence, one of his daily memos for the Washington TimesByron York concludes: “For Biden, a day of COVID reckoning is coming.” Perhaps. One would like to think that escaping such a reckoning would be impossible. Indeed, it would require a morally bankrupt, lap dog media and . . .

Okay. It would be hard to escape such a reckoning, because the villain would have to be a superhuman sociopath ready, willing, and able to stand before a struggling, suffering populace and claim a stark situation improved because of him, when it actually improved despite him.

Has Donald Trump Lost His Killer Instinct?

Bonchie reporting for RedState

To the extent that Donald Trump’s profile had faded the last year, mostly by his own choice for not doing much media, it’s risen again over the last week. That was largely driven by a major interview with The Daily Wire conducted by Candace Owens which has produced several viral clips.

But while Trump ruffled some of his supporters’ feathers by giving a full-throated endorsement of not just the vaccines, but the booster shot as well, I didn’t find his statements objectionable. People have different opinions on the necessity of COVID-19 vaccinations for people with varying risk profiles, and I think that’s fine. You won’t find me pushing vaccines for healthy 20-year-olds because I believe the data shows it to be unnecessary, but if you are an obese 55-year-old, yeah, you should probably go get vaccinated.

Trump also came out strongly against vaccine mandates, and I believe that’s the most important issue at hand. If someone wants to get vaccinated, I’ve got no issues with that. But under no circumstances should people be forced to do so in order to live their lives. That’s never been more true than in light of the current reality that everyone spreads COVID-19 and that so-called “vaccine passports” are doing nothing to stop record infection levels in places like New York.

With all that out of the way, you might be asking what’s with the headline of this article? It actually has nothing to do with the Owens interview that’s garnered so much attention. Rather, it’s something Trump said on Tuesday while on Fox News that caught my eye.

The setup for those comments, which we’ll get to in a moment, began with Joe Biden’s most recent lie-filled COVID-19 speech in which he once again falsely trashed the unvaccinated and completely misconstrued the Omicron data coming out of South Africa.

Regardless, here’s what Biden had to say about Trump, or at least Trump’s administration per The Hill.

“Thanks to the prior administration and our scientific community, America is one of the first countries to get the vaccine,” Biden said from the White House, referring to the Trump administration’s vaccine effort referred to as Operation Warp Speed.

“Thanks to my administration, the hard work of Americans, we let — our rollout made America among the world leaders in getting shots in arms,” Biden continued.

Biden didn’t even have the tact to actually mention Trump by name, but no doubt, his reference to the prior administration is unmistakable. Still, I think it’s fairly obvious why Biden threw Trump a little credit this week after spending the last year ruthlessly trashing the prior administration as essentially murdering Americans and not accomplishing anything on COVID.

With infections skyrocketing in blue states, the current president needs to spread the blame around, and by bringing Trump’s name back into the conversation, he’s trying to remind everyone that he inherited the pandemic. It’s incredibly transparent, in my view. Further, Biden’s comment only came after Trump announced he had gotten a booster shot. As The Hill article mentions, Jen Psaki acknowledged that they only praised Trump because he said what they felt he needed to say.

Yet, instead of recognizing the game being played, Trump actually took Biden’s passing mention as a compliment, saying that it’s “tough to be overly critical now” of the current president.

Trump, in an interview with Fox News the same evening, said he was both “surprised” and “appreciative” of the president’s acknowledgment, adding it is difficult to criticize Biden after receiving recognition.

“It is a little tough to be overly critical now because he just thanked us for the vaccine and thanked me for what I did,” Trump reportedly said. “You know, that’s a first — so it is very tough for me to be overly critical now.”

The 45th president said that he believes Biden’s remarks “were a terrific thing” that will “make a lot of people happy.”

“I think he did something very good,” Trump said. “You know, it has to be a process of healing in this country, and that will help a lot.”

I’ll be kind here and assume that Trump means only in regards to COVID-19. But even if that’s true, I find it to be extremely weak sauce. There is so much to be critical of in regards to Biden’s handling of the pandemic. The attempts at a national mandate should draw eternal scorn, but even past that, there are the long-running testing failures, the lack of development of therapeutics, the disgusting rhetoric used toward the unvaccinated, and the dishonest suppression of data surrounding natural immunity. I could keep going, but you get the point.

Further, let’s remember that Democrats are currently trying to throw Donald Trump in jail via the January 6th committee, an illegitimate farce fully supported by Joe Biden. Yet, Biden says one mildly nice thing about Trump, not even mentioning him by name, and suddenly the former president finds it tough to levy criticism? Perhaps I’m just nuts, but I’d suggest not playing nice with such people.

But this has always been Trump’s weak point. He’s emotionally dependent on the faint praise of his enemies. More importantly, he’s also malleable in the face of such faint praise. That doesn’t mean his presidency wasn’t mostly a success, with his handling of COVID and his refusal to fire key figures like Anthony Fauci being the starkest failures. What it does mean is that Republicans should take stock going into 2024 of who truly possesses the killer instinct needed to take down the Democrat Party. Is it still Donald Trump? I think that’s an open question.

30 Years Ago, The Tyrannical Soviet Union Disintegrated, Ending The Cold War

While the Cold War may have ended, the fight for freedom—in Europe, in the former Soviet Union, even here in the United States—is never over.

Thirty years ago this week, the world witnessed an incredible phenomenon with few parallels in human history when the Soviet Union disintegrated in a largely bloodless revolution after several years of uprisings and independence movements. After 70 years, what President Ronald Reagan deemed an “Evil Empire” collapsed not with a bang, but with a whimper.

Democratically elected Union of Soviet Socialist Republics President Boris Yeltsin ascended to the leadership of the new Russian state, former Communist Party General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev left the Kremlin, and the Soviet Union’s upper chamber simply voted itself out of existence.

A year later, Francis Fukuyama wrote a best-selling book, “The End of History and the Last Man,” suggesting the end of totalitarian regimes and the ascendency of liberal democracy. Yet it was hardly the end. Today, Russia and China are menacing their neighbors and threatening conflict in the world.

It is true that, three decades after the Soviet Union’s collapse, there are many bright spots among countries formerly behind the Iron Curtain. Countries once under the sway of the Soviet Union are now members in good standing of the European system and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Poland, and Slovenia, among others, are vibrant, modern, peaceful societies that have mostly implemented the Western democratic model. Even some former Soviet states, including Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia, have embraced democracy and market economies. All three are members of NATO and the European Union (EU) and look to the West rather than the former Soviet Union.

However, the situation elsewhere is less rosy. Belarus, which is led by an authoritarian president who calls himself “Europe’s last dictator,” has provoked an international crisis in recent weeks over its western border with Poland and has jailed those who support democracy, free elections, and a free press.

Despite its membership in the EU and NATO, Hungary has adopted some questionable measures with respect to press freedom and some individual rights. There have been challenges elsewhere in the former Soviet bloc that demand close attention. Most troublesome of all, Russia has turned its back on free elections, the rule of law, and a free market after a brief experiment with each during the 1990s.

President Vladimir Putin once called the dissolution of the Soviet Union “the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.” It therefore comes as no surprise that Putin now seems to be on the verge of re-invading Ukraine, a former Soviet state continually punished for its Western aspirations by the threat of Russian partition. Putin clearly seeks to maintain Russian influence and control within the former Soviet orbit.

This much is clear: while the Cold War may have ended, the fight for freedom—in Europe, in the former Soviet Union, even here in the United States—is never over. It is a battle for hearts and minds that must be waged year after year, generation after generation. Eternal vigilance is required.

Taking the long view, recent history shows many reasons for optimism, even in the face of headwinds like socialism, nationalism, and authoritarianism. I firmly believe that people do want to elect their own leaders, make their own economic and life choices, and live and trade peacefully with their neighbors.

A Europe that was split for a half-century between freedom and oppression has decisively broken in favor of the Western model. Former Soviet states look to the United States and Europe for leadership rather than to their former Communist Bloc allies. The remaining authoritarian states are mostly without friends.

None of this happened automatically or by destiny, and future progress won’t come without a struggle. To unleash the fundamental human yearning for liberty, we in the United States must regain confidence in our ideals, share them with all who seek freedom, and develop courageous leaders willing to stand up for our deepest convictions.

NY Supreme Court Delivers a Beat Down to the New York Times in Project Veritas Case

Bonchie reporting for RedState

As RedState reported previously, Project Veritas is embroiled in an ongoing defamation lawsuit against the New York Times. But while a media company suing another one wasn’t initially major news, that changed after the FBI raided the homes of several Project Veritas members, including its founder, James O’Keefe.

The stated reason for the warrants was to collect evidence regarding Ashley Biden’s diary, which Project Veritas legally obtained. That has become its own massive scandal, with the FBI being used like Joe Biden’s political protection wing.

Regardless, shortly after the raids happened, privileged memos between Project Veritas and its lawyers were leaked by the DOJ or FBI to the Times in an obvious attempt to sabotage the lawsuit and further harm O’Keefe’s operation.

The judge in the case demanded answers, and he apparently wasn’t happy with the ones he received. A decision came down today that represents an absolute beat down of the Times’ arguments and includes an order for them to destroy all the memos in their possession — most of which haven’t been published yet.

Here’s Jared Ede, the Chief Legal Officer for Project Veritas, breaking down the ruling.

Remember, this is the New York Supreme Court we are talking about, one of the more liberal bodies in the country. Yet, they simply weren’t buying the idea that it’s proper for the government to illegally leak privileged memos to a news organization about a defamation case that the same news organization is embroiled in.

Think about how crazy that is. Project Veritas sues the Times. The FBI then raids Project Veritas for an “unrelated” matter. Then memos protected by attorney-client privilege about that lawsuit are leaked to the Times, which then publishes some of them in an attempt to harm Project Veritas further. That’s enough corruption to make many third-world countries blush. And the Times apparently thought they could get away with it. That’s how brazen the leftwing media has become.

Still, I’d opine that the biggest scandal here remains the DOJ/FBI leaking the documents in the first place. That is truly the epitome of the “deep state.” There is no justification for the FBI to be raiding the homes of Project Veritas journalists over Ashley Biden’s diary. That was clearly an attempt to try to protect Biden from the salacious accusations in it and nothing more. Yet, instead of stopping there, they then collected documents that had nothing to do with Ashley Biden’s diary and sent them over to their allies at the Times.

As I’ve said before, the FBI needs to be burned to the ground. Its credibility can’t be saved at this point.

Father who played 'Let's Go Brandon' joke on Biden says he's receiving death threats

Oregon dad Jared Schmeck, the man who prank called President Joe Biden on Chrismas Eve, has revealed to the media that he is now receiving threatening phone calls over the "Let's Go Brandon" joke. "And now I am being attacked for utilizing my freedom of speech," 35-year-old Schmeck, a former Medford police officer and father of four children, told The Oregonian newspaper Saturday.

According to Fox News, Schmeck said he has been receiving "vague but threatening phone calls" after his prank call to the president on Friday evening was livestreamed and reported nationwide in the media.

"I understand there is a vulgar meaning to 'Let's go, Brandon,' but I'm not that simple-minded, no matter how I feel about him," Schmeck told the news outlet.

Schmeck further iterated that, although he feels Biden "can be doing a better job," he bears no ill will toward the president and meant "no disrespect."

"He seems like he's a cordial guy," Schmeck said of Biden. "There's no animosity or anything like that." He stressed it "was merely just an innocent jest to also express my God-given right to express my frustrations in a joking manner."

Schmeck added: "I love him just like I love any brother or sister."

The father said he "stood 100% behind what I did and what I said," according to the paper. "At the end of the day, I have nothing against Mr. Biden," Schmeck said in the interview with The Oregonian outlet, noting: "but I am frustrated because I think he can be doing a better job. I mean no disrespect to him."

Schmeck went public after being doxxed by "woke" social media denizens. Liberal pundits on Twitter freaked out over the NORAD Santa tracker-themed call when Biden was tricked into responding, "Let's Go Brandon. I agree."

Anatomy of a “Quick Decisive Takedown”

How Dr. Anthony Fauci and NIH boss Frances Collins
smeared the scientists of the Great Barrington Declaration.

As Liz Shield recently reported, National Institutes of Health (NIH) director Francis Collins, in an October 8, 2020 email, told Dr. Anthony Fauci “there needs to be a quick and devastating public takedown of its premises. I don’t see that on line yet. Is it underway?”

Collins’ target was the Great Barrington Declaration, signed by more than 60,000 epidemiologists and public health scientists to show concern about the damaging physical and mental health impact of government COVID policies.

The signatories included biophysicist Mike Leavitt, professor of structural biology at Stanford and the 2013 winner of the Nobel Prize for chemistry. Stanford Medical School professor Dr. Jay Bhattacharya also signed on, joined by Dr. Martin Kulldorf, professor of medicine at Harvard.

All three are experts in infectious disease, but Collins called them “fringe epidemiologists” and wanted Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since 1984, to deliver a hit piece.

On October 19, 2020, MedPage Today posted a piece headlined “Who Are the Scientists Behind the Great Barrington Declaration?” As the article noted, “All three have advocated against lockdown measures since the start of the pandemic.”

On November 2,  theconversation.com posted “5 failings of the Great Barrington Declaration’s dangerous plan for COVID-19 natural herd immunity.” On November 6, US News ran“The Great Barrington Declaration: When Arrogance Leads to Recklessness,” by Brooks Gump, who earned a Ph.D. in psychology and a master’s degree in public health. As his bio explains, “Gump’s work has been supported by numerous NIH grants.” In effect, Gump was on Collins’ payroll.

On November 12, 2020, the MedPage Today site posted, “New Institute Has Ties to the Great Barrington Declaration.” The newfound Brownstone Institute for Social and Economic Research was “promoting some old, controversial ideas about COVID-19—and has strong ties to the parties involved in the Great Barrington Declaration,” they reported.

Those pieces constitute evidence that Obama appointee Collins, the only appointed NIH director to serve more than one president, got the hit pieces he wanted. As Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. explains in The Real Anthony Fauci, the NIAID boss also has clout with journalists.

As embattled Americans know, Collins and Fauci both lied about funding dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Americans also know that the lockdowns Fauci and Collins recommended inflicted untold suffering and loss.

Great Barrington signer Dr. Jay Bhattacharya contends that history “will judge those in charge of COVID policy, and it will not judge kindly.” In the quest for a true verdict, Congress should conduct a full and unfettered investigation of Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Francis Collins, and Dr. Nancy Messonnier the former director of the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD).

Dr. Messonier is a veteran of the CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service, tasked to keep dangerous viruses from arriving on American soil. In the case of COVID, the EIS failed. The American people deserve a full explanation.

New Videos Capture Pennsylvania Officials Hiding Evidence Of Alleged Election Fraud

Pennsylvania county election officials were caught on tape
plotting to hide alleged violations of state election law.

New whistleblower videos capture Delaware County, Pennsylvania officials plotting to recreate missing election data from the November 2020 contest, with one official later bragging that the local Democrat district attorney “owes him.” These recordings represent the latest evidence of the alleged fraud officials in the Pennsylvania county undertook to hide widespread violations of the state’s election laws, according to a source familiar with the recordings.

Whistleblower Regina Miller, who worked as a contract employee for Delaware County, secretly recorded the behind-the-scenes videos of election officials after witnessing concerning conduct, according to sources with knowledge of a fraud lawsuit filed last month against county election officials, based in part on the recordings. That lawsuit alleged county election officials destroyed election data in response to a May 21, 2021 Right to Know Request filed with Delaware County that requested the final certified return sheets from the Nov. 3, 2020 general election for all Delaware County precincts, as well as the tapes from the voting machines.

While earlier videos captured Delaware County officials destroyingelection material or blocking out “derogatory” information in the copies made in response to the Right to Know Request, the latest video captures two election officials discussing putting in “blank” V-drives, which are the thumb drives that record the results from election machines, to recreate the election results reported by the county.

In one video, James Savage, who served as the chief custodian and voting machine warehouse supervisor for the Delaware County Voting Machine Department during the November 2020 election, is seen talking with another election official who is blocked from the camera’s view.

The duo are discussing the Right to Know Request, according to a source with knowledge on the matter, with Savage inquiring on “recreating data.” The individual off-camera chimes in with his suggested approach that would entail recreating results for “these jokers,” and “then create another set for the next set of jokers” — an apparent reference to the individuals who filed the Right-to-Know request — “but we cut it up and then we create a permanent record,” he explains.

“Here you go, here you go,” the election official is heard saying, mimicking what they could say as they provide the “jokers” the supposedly official election-data documentation. The unseen individual then continues, “We scan those cut, copied sheets in.”

“The first part has a lot of work, but it might save us work in the long run, if it’s gonna be a drip, drip, drip,” Savage is seen saying. The two then talk more about the process with Savage asking about whether they are talking about going to every machine and putting in a clean V-drive. The off-camera election worker appears to concur with that approach.

I sought comment from the attorney who represents Savage in a defamation action the Delaware County official filed against two local poll watchers, as well as Trump and his legal team. Savage, who had filed his lawsuit before news broke that a whistleblower had recorded closed-door conversations, did not answer whether he intended to continue with that defamation claim nor why was there a need to recreate election data.

Savage’s attorney did not respond to requests for comment.

Savage was previously seen on tape talking with an individual identified by people familiar with the litigation as James Allen, the director of election operations for Delaware County. In that video, Allen is heard telling Savage, “Then get rid of the pads and the second scanners.”

“We can’t talk about it anymore,” Savage replies, with Allen questioning, “Why?”

“It’s a felony,” Savage states.

The fraud complaint filed against the Delaware County officials addedthat, after declaring “it’s a felony,” Savage then allegedly “encouraged a private conversation to continue the conversation of the removal of the pads and scanners due to other Delaware County employees and [contract employee] Regina Miller,” who was present.

Savage stars in two additional short video clips I obtained, in which he brags that the local district attorney “owes” him because he had previously run elections from the other side.

“I was the vice-chair of the Democratic Party,” Savage is heard saying. “I was like Jack’s progressive shield, he held me up” — an apparent reference to Delaware County D.A. Jack Stollsteimer. Savage also explains he served as Jack’s “buffer.”

The videos featuring Savage are particularly concerning because the Delaware County Return Board, in transmitting its report to the Delaware County Board of Election, singled out Savage and his staff for “his guidance and help,” in the Return Board’s November 2020 reconciliation project. Also troubling was the Return Board’s inability to reconcile the election results for 79 precincts within Delaware County, including issues with some precincts that involved inconsistencies between the list of voters and the county return sheets, with the Return Board referring those precincts to Delaware County D.A. Stollsteimer.

Stollsteimer did not return a request for comment on Savage’s claim that Stollsteimer “owed” him. Also unanswered were The Federalist’s questions concerning whether the D.A.’s office has opened any investigation into the evidence seen on the whistleblower’s tapes.
