If Biden wanted to instill vaccine confidence, he’d take off his masks

What better way to show the American people that the COVID vaccines are effective than to stop wandering around with two masks slapped on their faces?

Say, did you know that of the 9% of the pork-laden $2T stimulus bill that is for “COVID Relief,” a billion dollars was set aside for “vaccine confidence activities?”

Apparently the CDC is super concerned because there are Americans who aren’t super excited about getting the COVID vaccine.

It isn’t a mystery why so many are unwilling to get the vaccine. As Julie Kelly said last week in her column “Mixed Messaging and Silencing Campaign Fuel Vaccine Skepticism,” “If politicians and public health authorities want someone to blame for people’s reluctance to get a vaccine, they should take a long look in the mirror.”

Before the election both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were crapping all over the notion of a vaccine developed under President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed.

They deliberately sowed seeds of doubt because Operation Warp Speed was happening under President Trump. And it was politically advantageous to cast doubt on President Trump’s efforts.

And boy did they.

“I would not trust Donald Trump,” the odious Kamala told CNN back in September. “I will not take his word for it.”

Way to build vaccine confidence, you loathsome cow.

Oh, the irony. These anti-vaxxers now face a vaccine confidence deficit thanks to their own very vocal lack of confidence in Operation Warp Speed – the very operation they are now taking a victory lap over while claiming all the credit.

And as is usually the case with Democrats, they expect American taxpayers to foot the bill for correcting the problem they themselves created.

But if Biden and Harris really wanted to instill vaccine confidence, there is a way they could do it that wouldn’t cost American taxpayers one red cent.

What better way to show the American people that the COVID vaccines are effective than to stop wandering around with two masks slapped on their faces?

You can’t on the one hand slap yourself on the back for the success and efficacy of Trump’s Operation Warp Speed while on your face sit not one but two masks.

This is like the x-ray conundrum.

“Getting an x-ray is totally safe. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to flee to the other room while you’re getting your x-ray.”

Both Biden and Harris are fully vaccinated. Wearing masks after having been fully vaccinated doesn’t instill vaccine confidence; it does the exact opposite.

What does that say to the folks who lack vaccine confidence that the two most powerful leaders (🙄) in the world (🤣) still refuse to go maskless even after getting the vaccine?

Well, I think it says, “Even with the vaccine we can’t go back to normal. So why bother?”

Which, let’s be honest, is exactly the message Biden and Harris want to send.

Even if they spent all $1.9 trillion on “vaccine confidence activities,” they couldn’t accomplish their goal. Because they don’t want to accomplish it.

Imagine how powerful a message it would send if Biden and Harris stripped off their masks and said, “We’re fully vaccinated. And thanks to the vaccine (that we’re taking credit for), we no longer have to hide behind masks, and neither will you! So get the shot, America!”

Only, that’s not the message these two dinks are sending.

This is:

Mask up vs vaccine confidence

But, see, the one vaccine confidence activity that would actually make a difference is the very one neither Biden nor Harris will do.

Keeping us hidden behind masks is far more important to them than letting us return to normal thanks to an effective vaccine.

They don’t want us to return to normal. Not when “normal” means giving up the power they seized at the start of the Pandemic.

They want us cowering and afraid – looking to Government to protect and take care of us.

And for all their self-congratulatory bragging over the success of President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed, I suspect the Biden Administration and the Democrats in general are none too happy that Operation Warp Speed was such a ringing success.

Last year when it became clear that “15 days to slow the spread” was a lie, the goalpost shifted to “We can’t go back to normal until there is a vaccine.”

That was a great goalpost shift because they really, truly didn’t expect a vaccine to materialize.

The Democrats and their media handmaids were absolutely certain that Operation Warp Speed would be an abysmal failure – that Trump’s promise that a vaccine would be ready before the end of 2020 was just another Trump LieTM. And they would therefore be able to keep us locked down and masked up for years to come – all while waiting for a vaccine that wouldn’t be ready for five or seven years.

But Trump pulled it off. Like most of the other Trump LiesTM, it wasn’t a lie at all. And the primary excuse to keep Americans under their thumb went out the window.

That left the incoming Biden Administration with a bit of a problem. They couldn’t just slow-walk vaccine distribution – not after telling the country how important a vaccine was to getting us back to normal. So they had to keep up the pace the outgoing Trump Administration set.

But at the same time, state and federal Democrats are not willing to relinquish the centralized power and control they seized at the start of the pandemic.

As a result, they are stuck with two dueling narratives: “Get the shot” and “Mask up.” And these two narratives are in conflict with each other.

Rand Paul was right when he told Saint Fauci “You want to get rid of vaccine hesitancy, tell’em they can get rid of the mask if they get the vaccine.”

People uncertain about getting vaccinated don’t see the point if, even after they are fully vaccinated, they still have to follow all the stupid “guidelines” like social distancing, avoiding crowds and wearing that freaking, stupid mask.

When it comes to Democrats, there is no such thing as “temporary authority.”

For the last year, Jesse Kelly has been sounding the alarm that states and the Federal government who granted themselves these “temporary” powers would not easily surrender them.

Trump screwed that all up by actually doing what he promised to do – namely, securing several vaccines in warp speed.

That’s why the “we can’t go back to normal until there’s a vaccine” goalpost has shifted once again to “we can’t go back to normal until we know whether these variants are a danger.”

The goalpost will keep shifting. And shifting. And shifting.

I don’t have to tell you that. You know that.

The Biden Administration is loath to relinquish the power that comes with controlling Americans to this extent. Forcing us to remain hidden behind masks, like keeping DC hidden behind fencing and the National Guard, is all about instilling fear and uncertainty in order to maintain power over the people. Vaccine or no vaccine, they will never give that up.

They could announce tomorrow that COVID and all its variants have disappeared from the face of the Earth, and these guys would still find a reason to cling to this power and control while keeping you hidden behind those masks.

Handing the CDC one billion dollars for “vaccine confidence activities” won’t make a damn bit of difference.

And here’s the dirty little not-so-secret: They don’t want it to.
