Germany’s Merkel urges European border reform after terrorist attacks

November 10, 2020

BERLIN (Reuters) – German Chancellor Angela Merkel said it was urgently necessary for Europe to reform the open-border Schengen area in light of recent terrorist attacks.

“I want to mention the entry-exit system in the Schengen area, which should be ready in 2022,” she said after a meeting with other European leaders on Tuesday.

“It is vitally necessary to know who comes in and who leaves the Schengen area.”

Media: 77 Is Not Too Old For Biden But It’s Way Too Old For Trump In 2024

The Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler took a shot at President Donald J. Trump’s age on Monday after an article in Axios signaled Trump’s intentions to run for re-election in 2024 if his bid fails this year,  ignoring that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is 77 years old right now.

“He’ll only be 78,” Kessler wrote sarcastically.

Kessler clarified with more sarcasm directed toward’s the president’s age.

“Boy, no one understands humor on Twitter. Yes, I know Biden will soon be 78. So Trump would be a spring chicken in four years compared to Biden if he runs for re-election,” he said.

Earlier in the year, Kessler attempted to defend Biden from accusations of senility, saying that the Trump Ccmpaign’s advertisements in the Washington Post in August suggesting so were “just silly.”

“Anyone could put together a similar collection of Trump misstatements that make him appear like an confused old man,” he wrote.

Others at WaPo including the infamous NeverTrumper Jennifer Rubin also asserted in 2019 that Trump was “too old” to run for re-election because “he is increasingly incoherent.” Instead of acknowledging Biden’s old man gaffes, she praised the former vice president and Democrat presidential candidate as someone who “with his aviator sunglasses (plus his promotion of exercise during the Obama administration), projects vitality and energy.”

Even though there is plenty of evidence that Biden is often mentally incoherent and may not be suited for the demands on the leader of the free world, corporate media continue to go to bat for him, issuing fact checks against those who point out Biden’s clear memory failures and communication flaws.

Even more ironic than the mainstream media’s blatant ignorance of Biden’s inabilities is its amplification of Biden’s COVID-19 task force choices, which include Ezekiel Emanuel, 63, who has publicly stated that he doesn’t believe older people contribute to society and that he wants to die by 75.

Corporate Media Doubles Down On Hatred For Everyone Who Voted Trump

Leftist columnists want you not to miss this fact: If you voted for Trump, you are a very bad person — not just wrong, not just confused. You are evil.

Both presidential campaigns proclaimed victory Wednesday. The Trump campaign did here. Team Biden did there. Of course, no one knows which candidate has actually received the required legally cast votes to become America’s next president, but that hasn’t kept partisan pundits from acting like poor winners.

President Trump has taken bipartisan criticism for his late election-night victory declaration, but he is not the only one to have lost mind of his citizenship manners as we all wait to see the final outcome. The editors at The Atlantic are breathlessly accusing about half the country of being nuts for voting to “leave a dangerous sociopath in the Oval Office,” fueled by their “sullen commitment to authoritarianism.”

If that half of the country gets their wish and Trump is re-elected, The Atlantic says that’s very, very bad. Effectively, “The United States would begin its last days as a democracy, finally stepping over the ledge into authoritarianism.” That is a lot of blame to put on the shoulders of one’s fellow Americans, but so be it when you live in a bubble.

The New York Times has been busy demagoguing as well. Their own Gail Collins asks how half the country could be so bag-of-rocks stupid to have even considered voting for Trump. She asks, “[H]ow the hell could American voters have picked Trump to be President to begin with it?” She could have easily taken a few days out of these last four years to go for a little drive out into Middle America to ask some of them this very question and listen carefully to their answers, but she did not.

Collins adds to her disbelief, asking, “And how, after four years of his Fib-a-Minute Administration, could they have come even remotely close to re-electing him?” The answer is assumed in her question. They lack her smarts and virtue, and all would be well with the world if they could just get some of it.

Collins shared her space on the Times op-ed page with Charles Blow, who declares it nothing short of “obscene” that even more voters cast votes for Trump in 2020 than did four years ago. He is absolutely baffled that this included men and women he thinks should know better: people with specific skin shades and LGBT people.

After all that Donald Trump has done, all the misery he has caused, all the racism he has aroused, all the immigrant families he has destroyed, all the people who have left this life because of his mismanagement of a pandemic, still roughly half of the country voted to extend this horror show.

Blow wants you not to miss this fact: If you voted for Trump, you are a very bad person — not just wrong, not just confused. You are evil. He is very clear on that point: “It is so unsettling to consider that many of our fellow countrymen and women are either racists or accommodate racists or acquiesce to racists.” He is speaking, as he explains, of “White people — both men and women — [who] were the only group in which a majority voted for Trump.”

Blow’s righteous fury is not only for the bigoted, white Trump-voter. “I am still stunned,” Blow confesses, that a “larger percentage of every racial minority voted for Trump this year than in 2016.” He is disturbed that twice as many black women just voted for Trump than did in 2016. Trump gained with black men as well, but not as dramatically.

Blow is likewise shocked that the percentage of LGBT-identified people voting for Trump also doubled, moving from 14 percent in 2016 to 28 percent this week. “This one pushed me back on my heels,” he says.

There can be only one reason for such a thing, according to Blow. “All this to me,” he explains, “points to the power of white patriarchy and the coattail it has of those who depend on it or aspire to it.” He ends with his own stunning bit of patriarchal arrogance: “Some people who have historically been oppressed will stand with the oppressors, and will aspire to power by proximity.”

According to these writers, the fact that a solid half of Americans voted for Trump all comes down to nothing short of three things: sheer stupidity, racism, and Stockholm syndrome. This is the only explanation they can muster for why half of America, and growing, as well as an increasing number of minorities, voted as they did.

It seems they haven’t learned anything since 2016. Win or lose, we must do better than this in understanding and explaining the people with whom we disagree.

Bill Barr Authorizes An Investigation... (what about the previous ones?)

The Associated Press is reporting on a memo (no citation, only description) that reportedly comes from U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr and authorizes local USAO offices to investigate valid claims of voter fraud if presented for review. - UPDATE: Memo Added – below.

While the appearance of a DOJ memo authorizing U.S. attorney’s to participate in election investigations is a good thing….

…Consider how many investigations has AG Barr authorized only to seemingly feed the accountability masses and keep the pitchforks at bay.

Associated Press – In a memo to U.S. attorneys, obtained by The Associated Press, Barr wrote that investigations “may be conducted if there are clear and apparently-credible allegations of irregularities that, if true, could potentially impact the outcome of a federal election in an individual State.”

He said any allegations that would “clearly not impact the outcome of a federal election” should be delayed until after those elections are certified and prosecutors should likely open so-called preliminary inquiries, which would allow investigators and prosecutors to see if there is evidence that would allow them to take further investigative measures.

Barr does not identify any specific instances of purported fraud in the memo.

“While it is imperative that credible allegations be addressed in a timely and effective manner, it is equally imperative that Department personnel exercise appropriate caution and maintain the Department’s absolute commitment to fairness, neutrality and non-partisanship,” Barr wrote.

States have until Dec. 8 to resolve election disputes, including recounts and court contests over the results. Members of the Electoral College meet Dec. 14 to finalize the outcome. (more)

“The President is 100% Within His Right to Look Into Election Irregularities”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell knows exactly what 71 million Trump supporters would do to his congressional power (business model) if they left the Republican and Democrat parties.

This is Decepticon Mitch at his finest.  This is how he stays in power:

Happy Birthday, Marines! Semper Fi!

Marine Corps Birthday – November 10, 2020

The Marine Corps Birthday is observed on November 10. It was created on November 10, 1921 by the U.S. Government to show appreciation for the United States Marines. Having taken part in nearly every U.S. conflict, the Marine Corps has defended our country since America’s inception. The Corps, with over 186,000 active duty members and 38,500 reserves as of 2017, continues its proud tradition as protectors of the U.S. and its people.

Coward, Compromised, or just a deep bag of hot air?

Interesting Timing – AG Barr Meets With Mitch McConnell –

SSCI Vice-Chair Reacts to Esper Firing

@TheLastRefuge2

Do not attribute anything extraordinary to this series of events.  Quite likely, they are disconnected and not what most of us would love to believe.

In no way should this be construed as fuel for the trusty plan community.  However, that said, it is interesting.

U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr meets with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell today.

There are no immediate reports on the intents or purposes of the meeting, and with all things Barr does the meeting provides multiple ways of looking at it.

If investigative findings were ever going to bring sunlight upon the corrupt machinations at the gateway to the swamp, the DOJ would eventually have to have a conversation with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell about the corrupt activity of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI).   Is this that?  Likely no, but wishful thinking always puts that little element of hope into a series of events…

If the DOJ were ever going to go full wolverine on the schemes, lies, manipulations and known malfeasance of the body politic, who would be the most at risk in that scenario?

The answer is SSCI vice-chairman Mark Warner…. who just coincidentally sends out a statement today warning President Trump about firing ‘senate confirmed’ executive branch officers like Defense Secretary Mark Esper:

Are these events related…. who knows.  We can hope yes, but the real answer is likely no.

I dislike Bill Barr with the heat of a thousand supernovas…. not only because he seems to be a coward and swamp-certified protector of the administrative state; but also because he has hidden behind the skirt of Sidney Powell amid the entire Flynn fiasco.

Instead of just admitting, openly and publicly, what is clearly evident for the entire world to see… AG Barr uses proxy entities like Missouri USAO Jeff Jensen to send exculpatory information to Ms. Powell so she can achieve what cowardly Barr is not willing to do with the righteous fury that is warranted.  That’s why I consider Barr a coward.

The wise words of Mike Vanderboegh echo so loudly….

This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening.

It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can’t be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won’t be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.

But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.

And when we are gone, the scattered, free survivors hiding in the ruins of our once-great republic will sing of our deeds in forbidden songs, tending the flickering flame of individual liberty until it bursts forth again, as it must, generations later. We will live forever, like the Spartans at Thermopylae, in sacred memory.

MAGA, bitches.  Trump because FUCK YOU, is a very powerful group of Americans…

President Trump Fires Defense Secretary Mark Esper

Following a series of high-profile conflicts, President Trump has terminated Defense Secretary Mark Esper and appointed Chris C Miller, head of the National Counterterrorism Center, as Acting Defense Secretary:

Secretary Esper gave an interview to the Military Times the day after the election indicating he would not follow any further orders from the administration.  These public comments likely led to his removal.

Throughout the President’s first term in office politically-minded military flag officers have sought to undermine the administration effort to withdraw from global conflicts. During an interview with Bob Woodward, former Defense Secretary James Mattis admitted to plotting the overthrow of the U.S. government under Trump.

One of the more obvious exhibitions of the Pentagon outlook was in their support for Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman who attempted to frame a false impeachment effort because President Trump’s foreign policy did not align with the preferred intervention approach of the military industrial complex.  {Go Deep}

The media simulation

As Jesse Kelly always says: None of what you see is real.

If you get your news from the mainstream media, you probably think Joe Biden won the election. So it might come as a surprise to you to learn that you are stuck in a media simulation and in reality, neither candidate has won the election as yet.

On Friday in my column “Suddenly refusing to concede is a bad thing,” I warned you that this media simulation was happening:

So while the media can’t officially declare Joe Biden the winner, they absolutely can cement the narrative.

And that is exactly what they’re doing right now – not because Biden actually officially won, but because saying it enough will cement it into the American psyche.

The news media doesn’t report the news; it creates a simulation.

We are living in that media simulation right now.

By preemptively declaring Biden the winner, the media hopes to delegitimize the challenges, recounts and lawsuits that are pending in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Wisconsin and Georgia.

It’s exactly why, within hours of preemptively declaring Biden the winner we got hit with a tsunami of soft-focus fluff news stories about the Biden and Harris families – like, for example, “Joe Biden’s Dog Major Makes History as the First Rescue Dog to Live in the White House” (yeah, I’m not making that up; here’s the link).

It’s all part of the media simulation.

The goal is clear – to cement into our minds that Biden is the winner while simultaneously making the Trump campaign’s challenges to flagrant voting irregularities look like nothing more than sour grapes.

And while I remain skeptical that these challenges will flip the outcome (I hope I’m wrong), I can’t help but wonder if the reason the media jumped the gun and declared Biden the “winner” is because they are beginning to worry that these challenges will in fact flip the election to Trump.

The frantic “Pay no attention to the fraud behind the curtain; Biden is the winner” narrative makes me wonder if the media doth protest too much.

In the last few days they’ve gone from “there is no evidence of voter fraud” to “okay, there’s some fraud, but not widespread fraud” to “okay, there’s widespread fraud, but not enough to change the outcome.”

Then suddenly they declare Biden the winner.

Come on, they’re not even trying to hide it.

The media simulation is an attempt to set in concrete the narrative that Biden is the true winner no matter what happens.

There’s no downside for the media in this.

If the challenges don’t change the outcome, Biden is the President-elect.

If the challenges do flip the outcome and drop Biden below 270, the media can launch the claim that Trump stole the election thereby giving way to another four years of “Orange Man is Illegitimate; let’s investigate and impeach.”

In the meantime, you might have noticed another aspect of the media simulation – namely “Trump refusing to concede is going to hurt the Republican Senate’s chances in the Georgia run-offs.”

No it won’t.

I’m thinking the opposite is true.

Republicans are emboldened by Trump’s willingness to fight.

Should President Trump throw up his hands and give up when there is overwhelming evidence of fraud, cheating and chicanery, Republican voters in Georgia would be dispirited and discouraged. And that might very well suppress Republican turnout for the January 5th runoff.

Which is exactly why we’re getting this “Trump refusing to concede is going to hurt Republicans in Georgia” media simulation. The media wants nothing more than depressing Republican turnout in Georgia in order to flip the Senate.

As Jesse Kelly always says, none of what you see is real.

There is no declared winner in the 2020 Presidential race. Neither candidate has garnered 270 electoral votes as yet.

And the entire media complex is fully aware of that.

Everything that is happening right now is nothing but a disinformation operation and media simulation.

Will the race tip to Trump?

I remain skeptical. But given this is 2020 and nothing in 2020 is ever off the table, there still might be a chance.

And our garbage media knows that.

Effective COVID-19 Vaccine Miraculously Announced Days After Election

Nobody could have predicted this… and by “nobody“, we mean everybody of course.

As the political media and democrats simultaneously drop their COVID-19 social distancing concerns to celebrate Joe Biden in the streets and DNC venues, as anticipated an effective vaccine is announced.  Within the announcement Pfizer admits they stalled announcing the results of the study in October, preferring to wait until after the election.

Not only was COVID fear hyped and weaponized for maximum political narrative engineering value, but news of the COVID vaccine was withheld for the same intents.

STATNEWS […] Gruber said that Pfizer and BioNTech had decided in late October that they wanted to drop the 32-case interim analysis. At that time, the companies decided to stop having their lab confirm cases of Covid-19 in the study, instead leaving samples in storage. The FDA was aware of this decision.

Discussions between the agency and the companies concluded, and testing began this past Wednesday. When the samples were tested, there were 94 cases of Covid in the trial. The DSMB met on Sunday.

This means that the statistical strength of the result is likely far stronger than was initially expected. It also means that if Pfizer had held to the original plan, the data would likely have been available in October, as its CEO, Albert Bourla, had initially predicted.  (read more)

Journalists Switch From Offense To Defense

U.S.—With it looking more certain that Joe Biden has won the presidential election, journalists are now looking at a major shift in play, moving from their extremely aggressive offense against Donald Trump to focusing now on defense to protect Biden from a skeptical public.

“It’s going to be a change,” said journalism coach Homer Davis. “Journalists strive for offense -- they love to tear down -- so having to protect a gaffe-prone old coot is going to be vastly different.”

Davis mentioned that the best defense is a good offense, so much of the effort to protect Biden will be to find and dox any of his critics. “But journalists are going to have to fortify Biden as well,” Davis explained. “Try to make him look smart and competent and find any human angles to play up -- not easy for someone who has been in government for nearly half a century and has barely anything human left in him at all.”

Journalists last played defense for eight years from 2008 to 2016 with mixed results, helping secure Barack Obama's re-election, but also seeing Republicans make huge gains in the midterms. Additionally, they were unable to protect Obama’s legacy from the Hail Mary play that was Donald Trump.

“We just have to get in there and block, block, block,” said veteran defensive player Dave Weigel. “Biden and the Democrats are going to make mistakes every day, and the job of journalists is going to be to crush any of those stories before they get going. It’s a whole different ball game from round-the-clock coverage of every Trump tweet, but we’re ready.”

They don’t want unity; they want submission

Unity? Please. This isn’t about bringing us together;
it’s about bringing us to heel.

Yesterday, Kurt Schlichter started using the hashtag #UnityWatch for all the tweets that expose the phoniness of the calls for unity from the Democrats and the media.

I’m guessing that is going to be a well-used hashtag. Because despite these supposed calls for unity, I’m not really seeing much unity from these people.

These guys are compiling blacklists.

Their vile attacks against Trump supporters haven’t slowed in the least; in fact, they continue apace.

You’d have to be the most naïve sap on the Planet to believe their calls for unity are on the up-and-up.

I featured this tweet from the wretched Michelle Obama in my post “There is no joy in their victory, only rage and revenge.” I’m not surprised Kurt added it to his #UnityWatch.

One can’t help but wonder if their calls for unity are in reality demands for submission.

Submit to us and we’ll unite with you, otherwise, you’re a racist who supports lies, hate, chaos and division!

You know, it never ceases to amaze me how many people fell for Michelle Obama’s “when they go low, we go high” drivel.

I’ve been writing about this woman since 2013 and let me tell you, she’s a straight-up bitch. I mean nasty.

Her “above the fray, take the high road” persona is the biggest fiction ever created by the media.

Fact is, it is impossible to take Michelle’s or anyone else’s calls for unity seriously.

Where was their desire for unity after Trump beat Hillary?

President-elect Trump reached out to all Americans on the night he won. Half the country and one hundred percent of the news media slapped him away without a second thought.

Do they think we suffer from dementia that we don’t remember how hateful and divisive they’ve been for the last four years?

Do they think we can’t remember that the Obama Administration corrupted the peaceful transfer of power, set up Mike Flynn, spied on Trump campaign and transition people? And the media was complicit?!

Do they think we’ve forgotten the lives they destroyed and the people they defamed?

I said on Friday that you cannot bridge the divide after blowing up all the bridges. Uniting the country now after four solid years of tearing us apart seems unlikely at best.

Then again, I don’t think they really want to.

And that right there is the nub of it.

They don’t want unity; they want submission.

As I said yesterday, this isn’t about uniting us; it’s about conquering us.

And now these conquerors demand that we throw down our arms, get on our knees and kiss their standard … like the King of the Gauls did after being defeated by Caesar in HBO’s “Rome.”

This isn’t about bringing us together; it’s about bringing us to heel.

Unity isn’t even a blip on their radar.
