It’s with sadness that I report that a progressive zealot tried to disrupt the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit (SAS) event in Tampa, Florida Saturday but was met with overwhelming power and was forcibly detained.
Ok, I admit, I’m being sarcastic. In reality, this video footage is quite satisfying as an entitled wannabe tough guy gets what’s coming to him as he attempts to stop the flow of traffic and make what he probably hoped would become a viral scene, as RedState's Nick Arama initially reported.
It did go viral, but for all the wrong reasons for this fool:
He felt big in the moment, but then reality set in:
Unfortunately for this guy, he picked the wrong state to pull off his antics. This is Florida, not crime-happy California, and now he’s facing something called “consequences”:
Oops.
We’ve gotten so used to progressives thinking they can attack law enforcement, stop traffic and disrupt the normal flow of commerce and life without consequence. In places like California, Seattle, and Great Britain, that may be the norm, but not in the Sunshine State.
This guy found out.
It’s so easy to talk big and make a spectacle of yourself, but as Arama reported Sunday, there are actual legitimate enforcers out there, and they’re not playing around.
The video clip of this loser crashing to the ground is satisfying, but the ongoing leftist violence against law enforcement is anything but. As we know, on today’s one-year anniversary of the oh-so-close Butler, Pennsylvania assassination attempt against then-presidential candidate Donald Trump, creepy stories about weird deadbeats can go from chuckle-worthy to tragedy in a heartbeat. The left has been promoting political violence and domestic terrorism in this country for years now, and it’s anything but humorous.
I hope Trevor Smith enjoys his stay behind bars. He might want to reconsider his actions the next time he feels the need to pretend he’s a Hollywood action star.
