With each passing day, it seems more and more people in Washington are coming to realize that, in January, there will be a new sheriff in town, that he has a lot of deputies already getting badges, and that they intend to ride into town and start kicking down some doors.
Some of those doors are at the Pentagon, where soon-to-be Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has determined that any Pentagon Rear-Echelon Military Folks (REMFs) who have been advocating for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) will be finding themselves out of a job.
The Pentagon is in “absolute disarray” with “generals scrambling” due to the incoming Trump administration’s plans to fire woke senior military leaders who prioritized diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) over combat readiness, according to sources.
One source compared it to a hornet’s nest being kicked over and that “DEI pages are starting to disappear off the main websites.”
“They’re being archived as we speak. They are full-bore focused on cleaning up anything DEI-related,” the source said.
Another source said people are trying to find out if they are on the list to be cut. “They are in panic mode,” the source said.
The scramble to hide evidence comes as President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team has begun gathering names of senior officers who pushed DEI.
The Pentagon should be in disarray over this, and yes, any officer (or NCO, for that matter) who advocated these stupid, readiness-destroying policies ought to be cashiered, preferably without a pension. And plans for exactly that are already underway:
One source familiar with the plan told Breitbart News that an executive order has been drafted to create a panel to recommend those senior officers for elimination and that the EO is “definitely” going to Trump’s desk.
“This is for real. This [EO] has made the cut,” the source said, adding that it is possible that it is still being revised and consulted with incoming leaders at the Pentagon.
Indeed, a member of the Trump transition team has already begun reaching out to troop advocates for names, including Army whistleblower retired Green Beret Lt. Col. Pete “Doc” Chambers. Chambers served for 39 years in the Army and retired after he was told not to give his troops informed consent for the COVID vaccine.
Long overdue, if you want to know what this old Cold War soldier thinks. The Pentagon has no place for stupid, nonsensical programs like this. The Pentagon should be focused on one thing: Planning for war, and setting standards for our service members to ensure that, above all else, they are ready for war - and that they will win, decisively, unambiguously, and overwhelmingly.
Dare we hope that the Pentagon will once more focus on preparing and planning for war? Dare we hope that the military will return its focus on warfighting? Dare we hope that the military leadership will focus on training so that when once more young American men are sent into conflict, they will have the equipment, skills, and fitness to close with and destroy the enemy by fire, maneuver, and shock effect? Can we dare hope for a return to the military some of us remember from Desert Storm, when we went through a major mechanized army in 100 hours, like a dose of salts? When our Air Force, 24 hours into the air war, had Iraqi pilots looking at their airplanes and seeing coffins?
We have too many swivel-chair generals and not enough combat leaders. The POGUES (Personnel On Ground with Unused Equipment) who are championing stupid policies like DEI can go, and if they hesitate, a good swift kick in the fourth point of contact will speed them on their way. We need warfighters, not social engineers. Fortunately, we have warfighters; there are plenty of younger officers, O-4 to O-6, (Majors, Lieutenant Colonels, and Colonels) who have led men in battle in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Let these lean young fighters lead, these men who know how to find bad guys and permanently revoke their birth certificates, these men who have smelled the smoke and have their priorities straight - and who know what warfighting entails and what we need to do to produce a force who can do it. The DEI flunkies can go; maybe CNN will hire some of them to whine about President Trump's actions while the real fighters are training to take care of the nation's business.
Let us hear it for a leaner, meaner Department of Defense War Department, President Trump and Secretary Hegseth!
