Kamala's Latest Cringefest Campaign Ad Hits on Black Men's Love Lives, Demeans Women

Bob Hoge reporting for RedState

Kamala Harris has let loose some truly cringe campaign ads as she continues on her desperate quest for the presidency, but her latest is not only one of the top contenders for the most gag-inducing, it’s also downright insulting. To women. To men. To blacks.

It’s supposed to be cute and funny, but it’s anything but. It portrays black women as thirsty scolds who only care about material things like money, job status, and a potential partner's height.

The women in the spot summarily reject the guy when he admits he hasn’t decided on whether to vote. Implied, but not said right out, is that they would also drop him if he had said he wouldn’t vote a certain way – the Democrat way, of course.

I find these women unappealing and shallow. You decide:

The women, who are evidently play-acting as if they're on a dating show, start peppering the man with questions when he walks out to talk to them.

"Soooo," says one seductively, "what do you do, and how much do you make?" This sounds like the beginning of a deep and loving relationship. Not.

"How tall are you?" asks the next. As if this will determine their future romantic happiness. "Do you work out?" asks number three. It all seems to be going OK for the guy—evidently he makes enough money to satisfy them—but then things go south when woman number four asks him if he has a plan to vote.

"Uhhh, I didn't plan on it," he grins foolishly. Absolutely nobody is looking good in this spot, in my opinion.

A “screech” sounds, and then the women all angrily pop the balloons they were holding, indicating that this guy has no shot with them.

Just painful. Left unsaid but clearly implied is the question they didn’t ask: “Do you support abortion?” Kamala has made the issue a centerpiece of her campaign, so it’s not a great leap to infer that this guy’s support will be required in the future for him to have any luck with the ladies.

Not only was it insulting to women, but as a male, I was pretty turned off by it too. The ad implies that women will only like a man if he’s tall, rich, ripped, and a solid Kamala voter. In reality, women like me for none of those things—it’s my immense charm.

Seriously, have we ever seen a shallower candidate? The logline for this ad could be, “Kamala Harris tells black men they will get no sex unless they vote for her.”  Also, what’s with the capper – “Don’t get popped?” I know it’s referring to the popped balloons, but frankly it sounds creepy to me.

Just an all-around fail. That’s something we’re getting used to with this train wreck campaign.
