Moderators Call Timeout To Huddle And Discuss Strategy With Kamala

U.S. — Midway through the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, debate moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis called a timeout to discuss strategy with Harris.

"Um, excuse me, we'd like to take ten minutes please," said Muir to the candidates an hour into the debate. "Vice President Harris, would you please join us backstage for, um, a quick huddle? Should only take a second."

"RIGGED DEBATE!" cried Trump in protest as the moderators turned off his mic and went backstage with Kamala to rehearse her answers to the next round of questioning. "These are the worst moderators in history! No one has seen anything like this in the history of this country, maybe even the world. It's a disgrace!"

Several sources reported the three later emerged from their meeting and continued the debate. Witnesses claim Kamala downed a few glasses of wine before taking the stage once again.

At publishing time, David Muir had asked Trump the hard-hitting question: "Why are you a terrible person, Mr Trump, and how do you sleep at night?"
