Deranged Leftists Use ISIS Terrorist Attack on Moscow to Smear Donald Trump

After ISIS claimed responsibility for the devastating terrorist attack in Moscow, Russia, speculation abounded on social media about the truth of the situation. The attack has sent shockwaves throughout international politics.

Along with the rampant speculation are the predictable attempts to exploit the victims of the attack to score cheap political points against former President Donald Trump.

Leftists on social media are trying to use the attack as an opportunity to bring up Trump’s claims that he had defeated the terrorist group during the first term of his presidency.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack shortly after it was reported.

Shortly after a massive terrorist attack in Moscow, Russia, the first unverified claim of responsibility has been made.

Initial speculation centered on Chechen rebels or Ukrainians, but according to a post put out by the Amaq News Agency, which is the propaganda wing for ISIS, the terrorist group is saying it carried out the attack.

Reports from the scene suggest the men who carried out the attack were bearded and carrying Russian AK-style weapons. That doesn't exactly narrow it down given the proliferation of both throughout the world. Still, there is reason to believe that ISIS could be responsible.

Despite it not garnering many headlines in the United States, ISIS has seen a resurgence in Syria in recent months. Kurdish forces in the country delivered a warning in February about the terrorist group's building strength. That turn of events comes after ISIS was essentially destroyed and left powerless under the Trump administration.

It was later revealed that the Kremlin was warned about the impending attack in the days leading up to its execution. Unfortunately, Russia’s leadership did not heed the warnings.

The US warning was joined by similar warnings from multiple foreign embassies in Russia.

Reacting to that intelligence, the FSB rolled up an ISIS cell in a Moscow suburb.

On March 9, Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee (KNB) confirmed media reports that two Kazakh citizens had been killed by law enforcement in Russia.

Two days earlier, on March 7, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said it had stopped an Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) cell from carrying out a terrorist attack targeting a synagogue.

“On the territory of the Kaluga Region, a stop was put to the activity of Wilayat Khorasan, a cell of the Afghan branch of the international terrorist organization Islamic State, which is banned in Russia, whose members were planning to commit a terrorist act against one of the Jewish religious institutions in Moscow,” the FSB said in a statement to the state-run TASS news agency.

Apparently, those using the terrorist attack to slam Trump are forgetting something: Trump hasn’t been president for over three years. It is not his job to stop ISIS from resurrecting itself and carrying out more violence.

If anything, shouldn’t they be blaming this on President Joe Biden, who is actually in office at the moment? Of course not. To hyperpartisans, anything negative that happens in the world must be the fault of the other party.
