Leak: Regime Worried About What Special Counsel's Report Will Reveal on Biden's Classified Docs

Nick Arama reporting for RedState

It's more than a little ridiculous that when it comes to the classified document issue, Biden had things all over the place. He even said he had something from 1974, which is when he was a senator when he shouldn't have been able to walk out with classified material. Yet, it's former President Donald Trump being prosecuted when Trump as president did have the power to have the docs. So the two-tier system of justice seems to be firmly in place here, yet again.

I don't expect that they're going to charge Biden or that we're going to be told everything that they found. From the beginning, the Biden team was trying to prevent us from finding out about this, even as they were trying to attack Trump. There's been no answer to who stopped the National Archives from reporting about the first discovery of Biden's classified documents back in November 2022 or why we were not told until CBS reported it in Jan. 2023. Only then did the Biden team talk, and by then there had been other discoveries of documents, but they didn't share that.

Then we found out that not only did he have classified documents in an office at the Penn Biden Center, a building open to the public, but that he has some at his home, even some stored in his garage. Who can forget his "Corvette defense" that he gave to Fox's Peter Doocy? He claimed that the documents were safe because they were next to the Corvette. "By the way, my Corvette is in a locked garage, so it's not like they're sitting out on the street," he said.

That's the guy occupying the White House now, that's the guy who wants your vote in 2024.

Now, here's another interesting leak from the Biden team. There seem to have been a few in the last couple of days. This one is about the classified document investigation. While his people don't anticipate him being charged (naturally), they are afraid that the report, which could be released as early as this week by Special Counsel Robert Hur, might expose some embarrassing details (including photos) that could hurt his reelection chances.

Axios reported that Biden's aides do not expect criminal charges as a result of the investigation, but they are concerned about potentially embarrassing photos included in Hur's expected report that could be released as soon as this week. The images could show how Biden stored classified materials, which were discovered in late 2022 in the garage of Biden's Delaware home, as well as in a private office he used. The classified documents were carried over from Biden's time as former President Obama's vice president.

Biden's aides told Axios that they are fearful former President Trump's campaign could use the photos against the Democrat incumbent ahead of their likely 2024 rematch.

Biden aides expect the report to "be politically damaging."

That's intriguing. We've already seen pictures of the garage and a box of documents with a beaten-up cover over it. So they have to think it's worse than that. If they're concerned so much that they're leaking that concern, it makes me think it must be pretty bad. Plus, if they're leaking this, it sure seems like some people in the White House are not too happy with Biden.

Also, there's this tidbit from Anthony Coley, a former senior adviser to Attorney General Merrick Garland. He said that Biden's team wasn't "initially transparent" and accused the Biden team of slow-walking discovery in the case.

"Against the backdrop of former President Trump's indictment on charges of willful and deliberate retention of classified documents, the Biden team's drip, drip, drip of information made the discoveries seem even worse," he wrote in an op-ed.

Again, if Trump had done that, the media would be screaming to high heaven and we'd be hearing screaming for impeachment. But with Biden, the magical "D" strikes again. They didn't even report on all that deception and seem to have no interest in who ordered the National Archives not to reveal the discovery, along with all the other problems of transparency.
