The battle over the border bill is such remarkable fantasy — it was designed by Democrats to fail and to blame the Republicans for the failure, thereby hoping they could shift the blame for Joe Biden's breaking of the border to the GOP in the mind of the American people. They realized the polls showed that the American people were blaming Biden — as they should. So Republicans who went along with this are helping to push a Democratic talking point, whether they understand that or not.
Democrats and their acolytes in the liberal media are in the part of this game where they are throwing a fit and frothing at the mouth about the horrible bill being dead on arrival. But Americans haven't been asleep the past several years — they know that it was the Republicans who were defending the border, particularly former President Donald Trump. It's been Biden who's thrown the doors open, failing to enforce the law. And the bill isn't about "border security" but about how to speed up the processing of illegal aliens.
Listen as MSNBC's Chris Hayes claims that Democrats gave the Republicans everything (yeah, not even close) "that it was entirely on their terms," just so the Democrats could get Ukraine funding. That's so wrong, on both ends, that Democrats would sacrifice our border security for their desire to defend Ukraine. But then what Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) says is something else.
That strategy that was their "play" for some 30 years, he said, has "failed to deliver for the people we can about the most — the undocumented Americans that are in this country."
Wow, did he really just say that? The senator from Connecticut, who is supposed to defend the Constitution and uphold the law, not to mention serve the citizens of Connecticut, said illegal aliens were the "people we care about the most." You work for us; you do not work for illegal aliens.
Oh, excuse me, not "illegal aliens." Murphy now has coined a new term — "undocumented Americans." What the heck is an "undocumented American"?
That is how Murphy views them, despite the fact that they've broken the law to get here and are not Americans. This term also gives away the game. He cares about them the most because they are the Democrats' pathway to holding onto power.
X owner Elon Musk spoke about the game the other day, noting how they don't even need "undocumented Americans" to vote, that they can pump up the numbers for apportionment purposes, shifting seats, power, and money on the basis of illegal aliens.
That's also undercutting the vote and the power of actual citizens with the added numbers.
This is a guy who is a campaign surrogate for Joe Biden.
Democrats put Americans last, and now we know who they truly care about. Biden has the power to stop the border crisis. He simply refuses to do so.
