Judicial Watch Source: Biden Has ‘Mistreated,’ ‘Punched and Kicked His Dogs’

Joe Biden has allegedly mistreated his dogs by “punching and kicking” them, Judicial Watch reported on Thursday.

The accusation comes after Biden’s German Shepherd, Commander, was removed from the White House for attacking and  biting multiple Secret Service agents.  Commander is the second Biden canine to cause violent mayhem in the White House. The family’s previous dog, Major, was given away in December 2021 after a series of attacks on Secret Service and White House staff.

According to U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) records obtained by Judicial Watch in July, Commander attacked Secret Service agents ten times between October 2022 and January 2023, and in several of the cases the agents required medical care—including at a hospital.

The records feature a November 5, 2022, email exchange between a Uniformed Division officer and an agent who was mauled by Commander on November 3, 2022.

“Doing alright [redacted]? That’s freaking crazy that stupid dog – rolling my eyes [redacted],”  the first officer said. The victim replied, “My leg and arm still hurts. He bit me twice and ran at me twice.”

His colleague replied, “What a joke [redacted] – if it wasn’t their dog he would already have been put down – freaking clown needs a muzzle – hope you get to feeling better [redacted].”

The dog was finally removed from the White House after more recent attacks on a Secret Service agent and other White House staff, Judicial Watch reported.

A 2014 survey of about 4000 dog owners found that the owner’s behavior—rather than the breed— was usually the cause of a dog’s aggressive behavior.

The fact that two of Biden family’s German Shepherd’s have now been sent away for aggressive behavior, has people wondering what is going on behind the scenes at the Biden White House.

A source told Judicial Watch that Joe Biden “has mistreated his dogs” and “has punched and kicked his dogs.”

One video that has emerged online appears to show Biden kicking and/or tripping over Commander as the two are entering the presidential limo.

Shortly after he broke his foot during in November 2020, Biden was interviewed by CNN anchor Jake Tapper. In explaining what led up to the accident, Biden seemed to describe abusive behavior toward Major, who was still a pup at the time.

“What happened was I got out of the shower. I got a dog and anybody who’s been around my house knows – dropped, little pup dropped a ball in front of me, and for me to grab the ball,” Biden explained. “And I’m walking through this little alleyway to get to the bedroom, and I grabbed the ball like this and he ran. And I’m joking, running after him and grab his tail. And what happened was that he slid on a throw rug, and I tripped on the rug he slid on,” he said. “Oh man, not a very exciting story.”

Every responsible dog owner knows you never pull a dog’s tail, which is attached to its spine. Not only does it hurt the animal, it can cause serious structural and muscle damage.

“If you try to pull or even just touch your dog’s tail, he might become protective and he could either bark or bite,” according to pet care company Wag.

This is why it’s especially important not to pull his tail and to teach children that as well. When you want to spend some quality time petting your dog, go for behind the ear scratches, belly rubs, back scratches, or just play with him. If you ever are near his tail, make sure you do not grip it or pull it. By playing with his tail you might be worrying him, which can cause your bond to weaken.

According to Biden’s own words, he pulled on Major’s tail when he was just a puppy.

Judicial Watch has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Secret Service for records regarding the latest incidents of aggression and bites involving Commander.

Following a similar FOIA request, Judicial Watch in April 2022 released records “detailing multiple attacks and damages to Secret Service members by Major at both the White House and Biden’s lake home in Wilmington, DE.”

“It is beyond belief that, even after Judicial Watch exposed their attacking ten Secret Service personnel, Joe and Jill Biden have continued to let their dog menace and attack Secret Service and White House staff. Let’s be blunt: the dangerous dog could kill someone,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The ongoing Biden administration cover-up of the Biden dog attacks on Secret Service agents is dangerous corruption.”

Swiss Writer Thrown In Jail For Calling Reporter ‘Fat Lesbian’

A Swiss court’s decision to sentence a commentator with 60 days in prison plus thousands in Swiss francs previews the danger that criminalizing “hate speech” poses to free speech.

On Monday, the French-Swiss writer Alain Bonnet, also known as Alain Soral, was sentenced for defamation, discrimination, and incitement of hatred for his criticism of Swiss journalist Catherine Macherel. Bonnet was convicted for comments made on a Facebook video two years ago where he called Macherel a “fat lesbian.”

Fox News reported Wednesday that a lesbian activist group celebrated the decision.

“This court decision is an important moment for justice and rights of LGBTQI people in Switzerland,” said Murial Waeger, one of the directors of LOS, a lesbian activist group. “The conviction of Alain [Bonnet] is a strong signal that homophobia hatred cannot be tolerated in our society.”

Fox News reported in a follow-up story Thursday that the two-month prison sentence “alarms free speech advocates.” But while the episode might shock American audiences, Federalist Senior Editor David Harsanyi outlined in his 2021 book Eurotrash: Why America Must Reject the Failed Ideas of a Dying Continent how this kind of censorship has become routine on the other side of the Atlantic:

Free speech in Europe is contingent on the vagaries, conditions, and restrictions connected to concerns over ‘national security,’ ‘territorial disorder,’ ‘crime,’ and protections of ‘health or morals’ or the state — which are all flexible notions that empower the government to impose arbitrary limits on expression as long as the majority of the European Union approves.

Harsanyi noted that 20 EU nations have “insult laws” allowing journalists to be charged as defamatory criminals.

“In six European Union member states, defaming a public official is more severely punishable than defaming a private citizen,” Harsanyi wrote. “The opposite is true in the United States, where celebrities and political figures have a tough road in trying to shut down or intimidate their critics.”

Europe’s governing philosophy on “hate speech,” however, is on its way to America. A RealClear Opinion survey of 1,000 voters in September found nearly half of Democrats, 47 percent, say free speech should be legal “only under certain circumstances.”

Another survey from the Cato Institute in 2017 found similar results. Forty percent of the 2,300 American adults interviewed said “government should prevent people from engaging in hate speech against certain groups in public.”

‘Health And Safety Nightmare’: Homeless Encampments Permanently Shut Down Denver Gay Bar

DENVER — A popular gay bar in downtown Denver permanently closed its doors this week after city officials failed to address homeless encampments disrupting business.

On Thursday, one of the city’s first gay establishments, Triangle Denver, sent a farewell email out to customers explaining doors will open one last time this Sunday before going under for good.

“With heavy hearts we announce that, effective immediately, Triangle Denver is closing indefinitely thanks primarily to the ever-expanding encampments which have surrounded and suffocated the businesses in our neighbourhood,” the email reads.

The bar cited a customer survey of more than 500 patrons, in which 75 percent reported visiting less frequently this year compared to last year. Nearby homeless camps were named as customers’ largest complaint, with more than 60 percent saying safety concerns discouraged them from repeat visits.

The city cleared out the disruptive encampments on Sept. 27.

“For one single afternoon, we had our neighbourhood back,” the email read. “Less than 24 hours later, camps returned, and despite our pleas, have seen no action from the city to stop the re-entrenchment. We can’t ask our guests or staff to continue to endure this health and safety nightmare. Our well of patience and resources has run dry.”

A local ABC affiliate reported in August that nearby businesses on the same block “are feeling under siege as homeless encampments now surround them on three sides.” Sales for Triangle Denver dropped 40 percent over the summer.

Scott Coors, the bar’s owner, blamed incompetent city leadership for the closure claiming city hall “has dragged its feet at every turn” when asked to deal with the encampments.

“We are disappointed and frustrated with the lack of urgency with which the mayor’s office is addressing the protracted public health and safety crisis downtown,” Coors told The Federalist. “Tents block sidewalks and parking areas our customers formerly used to access our establishment. They no longer feel safe or comfortable leaving their cars and walking to and from our entrance especially at night when we have the bulk of our business, and I don’t blame them.”

“Mentally unstable individuals, rampant and openly observable methamphetamine and heroin use, human waste on sidewalks, and verbal and physical violence is common,” Coors added.

Bavaria election: Toxic campaign heralds big vote for Germany's populists

Voters in Germany's largest state, Bavaria, choose a new parliament on Sunday, after a very nasty election campaign in which populist upstarts have rattled the status quo.

The far-right AfD, tied in second place, is hoping for a big result.

Its leaders say they are being physically attacked or threatened.

But their opponents accuse them of twisting the truth for political gain, by playing into a narrative of victimisation.

Either way the debate is unusually toxic.

Days before the vote, Tino Chrupalla, the co-leader of the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), was taken to intensive care after feeling unwell during an election rally in Bavaria.

The party describes it as a "physical attack" and AfD supporters on social media are convinced that Chrupalla was injected with a toxin.

Police are investigating, but so far say they have no evidence he was poisoned.

Mr Chrupalla is now out of hospital, but it could take another few days for the results of tests to be confirmed, during which time speculation is only growing.

In September, the AfD's other co-leader, Alice Weidel, was taken by Swiss police from her home in Switzerland to a safe house because of security concerns. The party says there was a risk of an attack against her and her family.

A few weeks later, she delivered a speech to a rally via video link rather than in person because, according to the AfD organisers, "she wasn't allowed out of the safe house" for her own safety.

In fact she was on holiday abroad. On the same day as the rally, she was spotted in a beach restaurant in Mallorca with her partner.

On the other side of the political spectrum, the Greens are hate figures for some right-wingers in Bavaria.

At one rally last month, a large stone was thrown at Bavarian Greens co-leader Katharina Schulze. At another event she was attending, a mock-stall was placed at the entrance selling tomatoes and stones to be thrown.

Aside from Bavaria, the wealthy western German state of Hesse is also holding parliamentary elections on Sunday, meaning that in total a quarter of German voters - some 14 million people - are eligible to vote in a crucial mid-term test for Chancellor Olaf Scholz's government.

Bavaria was once a calm, self-satisfied region, run by the Bavarian conservative CSU almost without interruption since World War Two.

In beer tents CSU politicians traditionally campaign in local dress as they swill drinks and proudly tout the region's remarkably successful combination of folksy traditions and high-tech economic success: Laptops and Lederhosen is the Bavarian brand.

But that brand is taking a battering. Germany has been particularly exposed to multiple crises over the past few years, including Russia's full invasion of Ukraine

Nicaragua’s Anti-Christian Ortega Regime Sentenced A Faithful Bishop To 26 Years Behind Bars

Nicaragua’s jailing of Catholic Bishop Rolando Álvarez is a clear violation of the human rights to free speech and religious freedom.

In times of distress, people look to their leaders, seeking beacons of courage and fidelity to the truth. Such is the legacy of Father Jerzy Popiełuszko, a Roman Catholic priest who stood in staunch, but peaceful, opposition to the communist regime in Poland. Father Jerzy, celebrated by the Polish people on Oct. 19, is in the process of being recognized as a saint by the Catholic Church for his witness to truth.

While perhaps not immediately visible, similar stories of faith under fire are happening across the globe today. In situations of acute persecution, the human spirit is resilient, and leaders rise up to be standard-bearers of truth. In Nicaragua, the state of persecution is dire. The country has been in a state of turmoil since April 2018 with the eruption of civil unrest against the repressive Ortega regime. The regime, intent on suppressing all challenging authorities, has set its sights on the Catholic Church in the form of attacks on religious leaders, religious orders, and places of worship, in addition to Catholic institutions and media outlets.

Reminiscent of Father Jerzy, who often called the faithful to peaceful dissent in his Sunday sermons, Bishop Rolando Álvarez felt the duty as a Catholic pastor to denounce the actions of the Ortega regime. Over the last few years, the bishop has risen to prominence for his consistent witness to the inviolable nature of human dignity in light of the regime’s repression, which often took the form of sermons to church congregants eager to hear a message of hope and truth.

In one such sermon, he prayed: “May He (the Lord of Miracles) grant us the miracle of living in peace, of living in justice, of living in freedom, of living without this forced migration that is bleeding us dry as a country and is disintegrating our families. … We beg you, Lord of Miracles, to let us live in Nicaragua in peace, without political prisoners, without exiles, without people in hiding.”

The Bishop did not hesitate to speak the truth regarding the inviolable nature of human dignity, telling his congregants: “These circles of power sometimes think that they are the ones in charge, that they are the ones who decide over the people. … From God who has made us in His image and likeness and from His son who has redeemed us, comes our dignity and our inner freedom that no one can take away from us.”

A Sham Trial

For his steadfast stance against repression, Bishop Álvarez was charged with “undermining national integrity” and “propagation of false news.” On Feb. 10, he was convicted of these charges, along with “aggravated obstruction of functions” and “disobedience of contempt for authority.” Reflective of the state of affairs in Nicaragua, Bishop Álvarez was convicted in a sham trial, which he didn’t even know was happening. He was denied his lawyer of choice, and later, his lawyer was barred from accessing essential information about his case. Following his conviction, in which he also was fined and stripped of his citizenship, the bishop, now labeled a “traitor,” was denied an appeal on similar sham grounds. He currently is at the start of a 26-year prison sentence.

Having refused an offer of exile to the United States before his trial, the bishop’s story caught international attention. He is nominated for the European Parliament’s highest human rights award. And on Sept. 12, an urgent request for action was filed at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights by ADF International. Currently imprisoned and deprived of contact with his family and lawyers, Bishop Álvarez’s state of health and well-being are unknown, prompting international concern. Action from the commission, which is tasked with the protection of human rights in Latin America, is imperative, as there are no effective avenues for justice in Nicaragua.

No one should suffer at the hands of the state for peacefully voicing his convictions. What has happened to Bishop Álvarez is a clear violation of the human rights to free speech and religious freedom, guaranteed to every person. Further, the targeting of religious leaders sends a clear signal to ordinary people that religious expression will not be tolerated. International action is urgently needed to free Bishop Álvarez and bring an end to persecution in Nicaragua. Every person has the right to live and speak the truth, and we are all indebted to the bishop for his witness.

Biden's Live Remarks About Israel Response Raise All Kinds of Questions About His Ability

Nick Arama reporting for RedState

Hamas terrorist attacks began on Israel early on Saturday morning, and it was clear this was a very coordinated, serious invasion on many fronts.

Israel immediately called it "war."

But as the hours ticked by through the morning, Joe Biden wasn't heard from. The first statement out of the White House was issued by NSC spokesperson Adrienne Watson, not Joe Biden.

The State Department also released this horrible statement, which they then had to delete.

Biden's statement didn't come out until just after 10 a.m. ET. Who knows if it was even written by him?

Biden didn't physically surface and make some live remarks until around 2:40 p.m.  He took no questions from reporters, but accidentally revealed the big problem.

So, what they're saying is that they didn't bother to wake him up? He was just left to sleep, as it was all going down, as hour after hour it got worse?

He's saying he didn't start engaging on this until 7:30 or 8:00 a.m. Then, of course, he blew off any questions about an intelligence failure.

Remember when Hillary Clinton ran against Barack Obama, and talked about having experience and being the best to deal with the 3 a.m. phone call?

3 a.m.? With Benghazi, we saw that neither she nor Barack Obama could adequately respond to the call.

But, Biden couldn't even respond first thing in the morning. If he did start taking calls then, why wasn't the statement issued then? It wasn't issued until after 10 a.m. which is when he normally starts engaging on most days. Either he's not telling the truth, even about the phone calls, or he didn't have the sense to know that he should have put out a statement first thing.

This isn't the first time we've seen this problem with Joe Biden.

We saw in the case of the fall of Afghanistan, as it happened over another weekend vacation, we couldn't get a live statement out of Biden until he came back from the weekend. In fact, as I wrote at the time, things were already spiraling out of control before he left on vacation, and he went anyway.

We saw a similar response to the fires in Maui -- when he was on vacation at his beach home on yet another weekend vacation -- his response when interrupted about the disturbing death count was he had "no comment," and he smirked. He couldn't be bothered to offer a comment until he got around to it and came back from vacation.

We're going to see this more and more because he simply isn't up to meeting the task. It's one more, screaming reason why he cannot win in 2024 if we are to survive.  And the next one may be a big one -- Taiwan is next on the list.

Victor Davis Hanson Discusses Elevated Picture of Hamas Attack Against Israel

Victor Davis Hanson is a man not known for short-term thinking.  Indeed, while his analysis does not always contain the same scope of datapoints reviewed here, his opinions are generally rooted in accepting things as they are, not as he would pretend them to be.

Recently during an interview with Tucker Carlson, as he contrasts the targeting of President Donald Trump, VDH was far more distraught than previously noted in his analysis. He increasingly sees our American options for a peaceful approach to retain our constitutional republic, diminishing.

VDH takes the overall geopolitical landscape and outlines his thoughts below on the Hamas terror attack against the nation state of Israel.  Victor Davis Hanson:

A 50th Anniversary War?

Why did Hamas stage a long-planned, carefully executed and multifaceted attack on Israeli towns, soldiers, and civilians—one designed to instill terror by executing noncombatants, taking hostages, and desecrating the bodies of the dead?

And how were the killers able to enter Israeli proper in enough numbers to kill what could be hundreds and perhaps eventually wound what could be thousands?

a) Ostensibly, radical Palestinians wanted to stop any rumored rapprochement between the Gulf monarchies—the traditional source of much of their cash—and Israel, by forcing the issue of Arab solidarity in times of “war”, especially through waging a gruesome attack aimed at civilians and encompassing executions and hostage taking. Iran likely was the driving force to prompt the war—given its greatest fear is a Sunni Arab-Israeli rapprochement.

b) Arab forces have had only success against Israel through surprise attacks during Israeli holidays, as in the Yom Kippur War (i.e., was it any accident that the present attack began 50-years almost to the day after the October 6, 1973 beginning of the Yom Kippur War?). And so they struck again this Saturday during Simchat Torah, coming at the end of a weeklong Jewish celebration of Sukkot—in hopes that others will join in as happened in 1973. (So much for the Arab warnings not for Westerners to conduct war during Ramadan).

c) Hamas may have reckoned that recent Israeli turmoil and mass leftist street protests over proposed reforms of the Israeli Supreme Court had led to permanent internal divisions and thus a climate of domestic distraction if not an erosion of deterrence.

But, more importantly, in a larger sense the Biden administration has contributed both to the notion that Hamas was a legitimate Middle East player, and to the perception that the U.S. was backing away from its traditional support for Israel—to the delight of Hamas—based on the following inexplicable policies:

1) In February Secretary of State Blinken had bragged that not only had the Biden administration resumed massive aid to the PLA cancelled by Trump, but cumulatively had transferred $1 billion—even as Palestinian authorities bragged that they would continue to pay bounties to the families of “martyrs” (i.e., those killed while conducting terrorists attacks against Israel).

And millions of American dollars also went into Gaza, run by Hamas—despite the Biden administration’s efforts to keep mostly quiet the resumption of such inexplicable support. In this regard, note the current shameful State-Department (“U.S. Office of Palestinian Affairs”) website news release that was posted after today’s attack. It ended with this quite embarrassing, morally equivalent admonition:

“We urged all sides to refrain from violence and retaliatory attacks. Terror and violence solve nothing.”

“All sides?” “Refrain from retaliatory attacks?”

So Israel is the moral equivalent of terrorists executing civilians and brutalizing their corpses? And the IDF then is not supposed to retaliate against these killers?

This Biden State Department insanity cannot stand. So expect some apparatchik to take down this Munich-like posting as soon as possible.

2) The Biden administration had recently released some $6 billion to Iran through a prison swap deal that saw South Korea hand over embargoed Iranian money to Qatar—despite Tehran’s increased anti-Israeli rhetoric and its loud brag about the escalation. We should assume money for rockets (Hamas claims they have launched 5,000, and have received 100,000 of them via the Damascus airport) and weapons in general for Hamas were supplied by Iran, which again is likely the chief catalyst for this surprise attack.

3) Almost immediately, after his inauguration Biden mobilized to resume the bankrupt Iran deal. And in unhinged fashion he appointed the anti-Israeli bigot, pro-Iranian journalist Robert Malley as America’s chief negotiator. Note that Malley is now under FBI investigation for security breaches, involving disclosing classified U.S. documents and also for allegedly helping pro-Iranian activists and propagandists land influential billets inside the U.S. government.

In short, there was a general Hamas and Iranian perception that the Biden administration had resumed the discredited Obama madness of empowering Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas. This discredited agenda was to “balance” the power of Israel and the moderate Arab Gulf governments to achieve “creative tension”, exacerbated by Biden’s loathing of the government of Benjamín Netanyahu (who has been snubbed by Biden and never invited for an official visit).

Note as well that the Biden administration has siphoned off key weapons and munitions from stockpiles inside Israel to transfer them to Ukraine. The so-called “War Reserve Ammunition—Israel” is all but depleted of just the sorts of weapons needed in the present crisis.

In this regard is there not a pattern here?

Upon the ascension of Biden and his woke military agendas, we saw the following: the complete humiliation of the U.S. in Kabul in its most shameful flight in 50 years and greatest abandonment of equipment in its history; followed by Vladimir Putin’s opportunistic invasion of Ukraine; followed by China’s new belligerence and escalating threats to Taiwan; followed by Turkey’s new de facto alliance with Russia and recent drone encounter with the U.S. air force in Syria; followed by the Hamas/Iranian inspired attack on Israel—with more to come unfortunately.

And will Biden finally get the message from the attacks on the Ukraine and Israeli borders, that borders matter and we too are being invaded, with the encouragement of the Mexican government and to the advantage of the cartels whose fentanyl exports kills 100,000 Americans a year?

What to expect in Israel?

Expect the following: the usual Hamas/terrorist selling and/or execution of Israeli hostages, the use of Israeli hostages as “human shields” in Gaza, the bargaining/sale of the remains of Israeli dead, occasional killings of Jews inside Israel by Arabs who falsely believe there will be a winning Middle East-wide existential war against Israel. And finally, a devastating Israeli counter-response that will eventually earn a U.S. rebuke.

What should the U.S. instead do?

It should quit talking to Iran and restore full sanctions against it. It should cut off all aid immediately to all the Palestinians. It should undertake a 1973-like massive arms lift of key munitions to Israel and warn Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and others in the Middle East not to intervene or else, given that Israel will need several weeks to deal with Hamas and Gaza. And if it shows any hesitation or weakness, other terrorist groups will opportunistically jump in.” (link)
