We should've known. Wait. Some of us did — or at least predicted it — from the beginning, with "it" being the nefarious powers that be in the federal government would do their damnedest to shield Joe and Hunter Biden from the justice they likely deserve for the crimes they likely committed.
As I reported on Friday night, legal scholar and Fox News legal analyst Jonathan Turley called Hunter's Thursday indictment on nine tax counts — including four counts of failure to pay taxes, two counts of filing false tax documents, two counts of failure to file taxes, and one count of tax evasion — a "marvel of evasion."
Turley said the indictment was specifically written, with "three glaring omissions," to "shield critical payments and conduct that implicate the president."
Also on Friday, House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) told CNN hack Jake Tapper he believes special counsel David Weiss only indicted Hunter to shield him from his scheduled deposition in front of Comer's committee, next week.
My concern is that Weiss may have indicted Biden to protect him from having to be deposed in the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday.
Comer further told Tapper — probably correctly so — that Weiss’ entire criminal investigation of Hunter “has been about a cover-up” from the beginning.
Look what he’s done. Anybody else in America would already be in prison.
One of the "three glaring omissions" in the indictment cited by Turley was Weiss's failure to indict Hunter as an unregistered foreign agent. Comer agreed, repeatedly telling Tapper that Joe Biden's crackhead son is guilty of illegal foreign lobbying and “influence peddling” schemes involving his father — "The Big Guy," as it were.
Abbe Lowell, Biden's despicable attorney, tried to play hardball with Comer, saying that Hunter was only willing to testify before the congressman's committee in a public hearing.
Lowell told CNN on Friday night that Comer's assertion that Weiss's indictment was only handed down to protect Hunter from Comer's committee was "ridiculous."
(Weiss is) doing this because he took such unbearable pressure and heat and criticism in June when we did the deal that he reneged and now he’s going to show over and over again that he is not going to make another mistake that subjects him to that kind of political pressure.
Really, Mr. Weiss? Here's a better reason:
Weiss is "doing this" because the evidence is overwhelming that Hunter and Joe, in effect, blackmailed the Ukrainians in the Burisma deal; that Hunter acted as an unregistered foreign agent; that Hunter was an unindicted co-conspirator — and that Hunter blatantly engaged in a "four-year scheme" not to pay taxes of at least $1.4 million.
Do you not get that, Mr. Weiss? Just kidding. You not only get every bit of it; you also know every bit of it is true.
The Bottom Line
Democrats, along with Biden apologists in lapdog media, have long claimed that the only reason Hunter Biden has been pursued (by congressional Republicans) is because he's a Biden. Incorrect — ironically so.
The only reason Hunter did what he was precisely because he's a Biden — which he's not only exploited for years; he's also also believed he's been above the law because... he's a Biden.
Unless Hunter Biden and "The Big Guy" are delivered the justice they deserve, arrogant father and son will have been right, all along.
