While you wait on my report tonight (another important PSA coming up in that), here's some amazing new images from what may turn out to be 1 of my favorite new Christmas movies: https://itsawonderfulmovie.blogspot.com/2023/06/behind-scenes-of-paris-christmas-waltz.html
Bonjour, dear friends!
Yesterday, Great American Family made the official announcement that "Paris Christmas Waltz" is coming to their channel this Christmas season! I know many of us are extra excited about this!
Jen Lilley, along with her co-star, Matthew Morrison, have been practicing their dancing steps for weeks in Bucharest, Romania - leading up to the start of filming this week in Paris!
While I don't usually show a lot of behind-the-scenes shots of Christmas movies while they are filming due to the incredible amount of them out there on social media, I just had to make an exception with this one. Plus, Jen Lilley was so sweet to share my post/link in her IG stories, I simply couldn't resist sharing some delightful on-the-set images.
First, I had to share this screen-grab of Jen Lilley and Matthew Morrison... hamming it up together between filming while discussing the proper way to say the instrument, the ukulele.
Hmmm??? Wonder if someone plays the ukulele in the film?
Jen also couldn't resist showing some of the Christmas set designs, including the adorable Santa Claus statue pictured above. With tears forming in her eyes, she shares how magical all of the Christmas decorations look and how the set designers aren't even done adding to the holiday decor!
While admiring all of the Christmas around her, Jen also shared how close she feels to her character, Emma, who apparently loves Christmas as much as she does!
Also joining Jen Lilley on the "Paris Christmas Waltz" movie set, is the former Home & Family host, Debbie Matenopoulos, who has a role in the movie as Camille. The two shared a fun moment when they filmed their scene together, plus Debbie posted some production shots behind the camera.
In celebration of the movie announcement, fans, friends, and fellow actors, flocked to social media to give their congratulations to Jen Lilley and Matthew Morrison. One fan asked if the two would also be singing a duet, to which Jen replied, "maybe," while adding the smiling face and clapping hands emoji.
My favorite message came from Will Kemp, who performed in the original "Christmas Waltz," which was also written and directed by Michael and Janeen Damian.
Will exclaimed, "Very exciting! Huge congratulations. Send my love to everyone." Then he included some fun emojis... clapping hands, fire, and dancing.
Jen responded with, "@iamwillkemp will do! We love you Will and @thereallacey ❤️"
Of course, Jen Lilley is referring to Lacey Chabert, since Will and Lacey starred together in the original "Christmas Waltz," which was a major ratings hit and fan-favorite. I'm sure both Jen and Matthew know they have big dancing shoes to fill. But, hopefully, they also feel the incredible love and support from their fans who are encouraging them along - as they are filming this new "Paris Christmas Waltz" movie for Great American Family!
I also couldn't resist sharing these extra screen-grabs of Jen and Matthew laughing together behind the scenes! Looks like this is going to be a fun movie!
Happy filming to Jen Lilley, Matthew Morrison, Debbie Matenopoulos, producers Michael and Janeen Damian, and all of the cast and crew involved with the production of "Paris Christmas Waltz"!
