Other than Donald Trump, and now Ron DeSantis, there is no one more feared by the Democrat Party and its lapdog media than Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee. And as I reported in January, Jordan now leads the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government against conservative America, making the no-nonsense Republican even more terrifying.
Former Kentucky Congressman David Jolly predicted at the time that Jordan would “shred the integrity of the federal government,” which shouldn’t be all that difficult, given that Joe Biden’s Democrat Party has already started the job for Jordan quite effectively. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Jordan laid out in general terms what his committee has discovered so far.
With all these things that we start to investigate, it seems to me that the central theme is — the only thing we get wrong is — it’s always worse than we thought. We thought the government was pressuring Big Tech to do certain things on the Hunter Biden story, and then, the Twitter files come out, and we’re like, ‘Oh, it’s worse than we thought.’
What began as an investigation into how the FBI and Big Tech companies like Twitter allegedly cooperated to censor stories about Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings and his laptop, days before the 2020 presidential election, has spread to much more, said Jordan.
In reference to FBI Director Christopher Wray this week finally conceding that the COVID-19 virus likely originated in China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology, and the infamous Hunter Biden laptop story — both of which Democrats immediately dismissed out of hand — Jordan told Fox:
We thought that it was likely that COVID came from a lab and turns out, yep, it was. The whole Trump-Russia thing, we find out they knew the dossier was false but used it.
Jordan continued, with dose after dose of reality:
There are just examples after examples where it is actually worse than we initially assumed upon opening investigations. You look at all of these things, and different agencies targeting the American people who they are supposed to serve — whether it is the CDC or the DOJ and FBI and social media companies taking down things and limiting speech. And Democrats always seem to just move on.
Of course Democrats attempt to just move on, congressman. It’s called deflection, which often includes attempting to get the rest of us to look at a new shiny object and ignore the smoke wafting from under the rug they feverishly try to sweep the real issue.
As to House Democrats working with the majority Republicans to weed out what amounts to “deep state” corruption working with or pressuring the business sector, Jordan put on a hopeful face, which I’m hard-pressed to believe he believes has a snowball’s chance of becoming reality, telling Fox Digital that the Democrat Party “used to care about the First Amendment”:
I would hope they could work with us on this,” Jordan said while reflecting on past legislation like The Shield Act, which he co-sponsored with Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) to protect journalists from being required to divulge their sources to the government.
We had worked with Democrats on limiting government’s ability to use facial recognition, so, civil liberty type things. But, unfortunately, they say they are going to fight us tooth and nail. We’re for free speech. We’re for the First Amendment, left to right, and we don’t think the government should be targeting people on the left or the right.
The dirty little non-secret secret is today’s Democrat Party only cares about free speech, science, public discourse, disparate ideas, debates, history, truth, logic, and honesty when and if any or all of the above are in concert with their beliefs, their narratives, their facts, opinions, and the various crocks of crap they try to sell to the country.
While I have great respect for Congressman Jim Jordan and his in-your-face, no-nonsense approach to confronting the Democrats, he’s spitting into the hyperpartisan fan, here.
Why? Because, behind closed doors, Democrats love every minute of the weaponization of the federal government against conservative America.
