Jonathan Turley Takes Biden Apart Over Classified Documents and 'Corvette Standard'

Jonathan Turley Takes Biden Apart Over Classified Documents and 'Corvette Standard'

The story of Joe Biden and the classified documents is just getting worse. As we reported earlier, the location of the second set of classified documents was concerning — in a storage area in Biden’s Wilmington home. I knew it was going to be bad when they didn’t even say where it was when they initially announced it.

Then Biden’s response to that was just horrible, claiming the classified documents were locked up next to his Corvette. “My Corvette’s in a locked garage, okay? So it’s not like they’re sitting out on the street.”

That got George Washington Law School professor Jonathan Turley going. He ripped into Biden for his ridiculous response, noting, “The corvette standard is actually not in classified protocols…” and observing, “The White House Counsel could now cite the long-standing slogan for corvette: ‘Like a car, only better.'”

Turley called the remarks “remarkably ill-considered,” “It was a cringe-worthy moment. After being given a carefully worded statement by his lawyers and staff, the President ad-libbed and suggested that his locked garage was a secure space for classified material.”

It’s incredible that Joe Biden would have the gall to act like being next to his Corvette makes it cool — that he took who knows how many classified documents and has them strewn all over the place including in such insecure settings. How could this guy ever have had the nerve to comment about President Donald Trump who had the right to have presidential records and had them secure in a locked vault in a home guarded by the Secret Service?

How crazy was this? Here’s a picture from a 2020 campaign video of Joe Biden pulling his Corvette out of the garage where he had it kept.

You can see he has boxes and a storage area off to the side. Is that where the classified documents were kept? It looks like a pile of junk and hardly any place where you would want to have classified documents, open to the street like that. Are they next to the broken old lamp? That gives us great reassurance about that “Corvette Standard,” Joe.
