Joe Biden has made some unconscionable moves during his presidency, but abandoning Americans in Afghanistan at the mercy of the most brutal terrorist organization on the planet remains his most despicable act yet. Moreover, a former Recon Marine claims the administration has lied about it from the beginning.
Chad Robichaux, a former Force Recon Marine and Department of Defense contractor with eight deployments to Afghanistan as part of a Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) Task Force, says the administration lied to the American public when they said that Americans were able to evacuate after the Afghanistan debacle, reports Just the News.
During an appearance on the Wednesday edition of the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show, Robichaux said there are still American who want to escape the Taliban-ruled country:
There’s Americans still there that want to get out. There’s 75,000 Afghan allies who are vulnerable to being beaten and interrogated for what they know about America and some are executed for serving America.
You can watch the video here:
Robichaux suggested it was virtually impossible for untold numbers of Americans to flee Afghanistan as the government collapsed — and remains so — at least via conventional flights out of the country:
The State Department controlled only the airport, which meant that the Taliban controlled the outer perimeter of who got in and out of the airport.
The Taliban is out there checking people’s IDs, beating people, taking their passports away, and killing people in the streets. If you are an American and want to go to the airport, you have to go through a Taliban checkpoint.
Biden made multiple reprehensible statements following his intentional Afghanistan debacle, including the following in August 2021 (emphasis, mine):
[I made] the right decision, the wise decision, the best decision for America. I was not going to extend this forever war. And I was not extending a forever exit.
Not extending a forever exit? For American citizens desperate to escape a terrorist organization with the propensity to burn women alive and other unspeakable acts? Nope, Biden clearly proved it was “Leave no American behind” be damned, when it comes to politics.
As my colleague Nick Arama reported in October 2021, Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl flat-out lied when asked by Iowa Republican Senator Joni Ernst if any Americans were left behind during Biden’s catastrophic haphazard withdrawal. Kahl insisted:
We did not leave Americans behind. They continue to get out.
Yeah, he lied. Worse-than-worthless Secretary of State Antony Blinken and other Biden officials admitted leaving Americans behind two months earlier. Moreover, Biden also lied and said forces would stay, if they couldn’t evacuate those who wanted to leave by August 30, 2021.
The Bottom Line
While the inexcusable story isn’t new, when people like Chad Robichaux, who was actually on the ground, remind us how Joe Biden and other administration officials brazenly lied without conscience about leaving American citizens at the mercy of Islamist terrorists, the disgust resurfaces–and likely always will.
