It looks like House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is making good on his promise to remove three people from their committees, according to what he told reporters on Monday night: Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Adam Schiff (D-CA), and Eric Swalwell (D-CA).
“Swalwell can’t get a security clearance in the private sector. I’m not going to give him a government security clearance. Schiff has lied to the American public,” McCarthy said. “We will not allow him to be on the Intel Committee either.”
Both Swalwell and Schiff have been on the House Intel Committee, and Omar has been on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
There are a ton of reasons to boot Adam Schiff, not the least of which was his lying about Russia collusion and claiming there was evidence and then never producing anything.
Then there was his office’s effort to try to censor speech including that of journalist Paul Sperry. He shouldn’t just get kicked off the Committee, he should be investigated. But kicking him off the Committee is a good start.
But it sounds like Schiff is getting very nervous about what the new House with the Republicans in control is bringing and what it might find. He was particularly concerned about the “Church Committee” that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) was put in charge of, to deal with the “weaponization” of the FBI and the intelligence community. He complains that the Committee “will seek to discredit law enforcement.”
No, sorry, the FBI whistleblowers and the FBI’s actions in multiple regards have raised questions all on their own. That’s why they’re being investigated and that’s what Schiff doesn’t want to be uncovered. It’s Schiff who “doesn’t care” about the government and law enforcement being weaponized against American citizens. Notice how he tries to deflect and make it somehow all about “right-wing terrorism” as opposed to the politicization of the agencies to help the Democrats. Of course, that’s a lie too. He didn’t give a darn about the BLM/Antifa terrorist wave in 2020, or when they incited attacks around the White House in May 2020, when Trump had to be rushed into a bunker for safety.
Schiff then claims — without any evidence — that this is somehow about helping President Donald Trump when the Committee has nothing to do with Trump and he lies not only about Trump but about the Republican members as well, trying to smear them as somehow involved in the Capitol riot.
This is also shameful behavior on Schiff’s part and just another reason he should be booted.
He also tried to link it back to Benghazi, a bad move, since that’s yet another Democratic evil that never was properly addressed.
The fact that he’s throwing such a fit over this shows you how important it was to have such a committee and how much there is out there to find. That’s why he’s flipping out.
He’s about to understand how the power of Congress can now be turned properly to clean out the swamp and as a chief swamp monster, he’s not at all happy.
