Folks on the left are truly losing their minds over Elon Musk daring to criticize Dr. Anthony Fauci, their COVID saint.
We saw Alexander Vindman melting down. Even former CIA head John Brennan dove in to defend Fauci and went after Elon Musk, which was how you knew that the powers that be are worried that Musk may be over the target. They’re afraid of what else Elon Musk might drop about the cabal.
But there was another character that stepped on a big rake as well. Ian Bremmer, the president of the Eurasia Group, a frequent political commentator in liberal media, a Time Magazine columnist, and someone who teaches at Columbia University, tried to take a hack at Elon Musk by slamming him as “being on the spectrum” as an insult. He later deleted it, but our friends over at Twitchy grabbed it first.
Isn’t that so typical? The folks on the left are always screaming about language or being offended by something, yet they have no problem attacking Musk for “being on the spectrum” when they don’t like what he has to say. What another great example of liberal tolerance for people.
Musk has acknowledged he has Asperger’s.
In 2021, Musk first announced that he has Asperger’s while hosting NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
“I don’t always have a lot of intonation or variation in how I speak…which I’m told makes for great comedy,” Musk said during his opening monologue before hosting the show. “I’m actually making history tonight as the first person with Asperger’s to host SNL.”
I’m not sure what Bremmer thought he was achieving with such an attack. But whatever it was it failed badly. What he got was people ratioing him for the unfair attack.
As my colleague Jennifer Van Laar reported, there’s a lot of there when it comes to legitimate questions and criticism of Dr. Anthony Fauci. Van Laar and my colleague Scott Hounsell wrote innumerable pieces about gain-of-function research even in the face of the powers that be trying to silence anything that broached that question. Yet the left wants to defend him at all costs.
This isn’t Bremmer’s first wrong move when it comes to tweeting bad things. Bremmer also infamously tweeted a false quote from President Donald Trump about North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
But once again, this is a demonstration that principles fall when there are narratives to be pushed. They are getting desperate.
