Biden Ignores Issues People Care About in Primetime Speech, Focuses on January 6 and 'Election Deniers'

Instead of focusing on something, anything, that the vast majority of Americans care about, Joe Biden delivered a primetime speech Wednesday night that was yet another disgusting display of using his office to characterize those who disagree with him politically as a “threat to democracy” and to tell voters that they must vote for the Democrat party in the upcoming election or our very existence as a country is in peril.

Of course, the major focus of Biden’s remarks was January 6 and the 2020 election. You’ve heard his comments ad nauseam, and that’s probably why they were included in this speech — they’re comments his people can count on him to pretty reliably deliver.

Biden retold the “story” of what happened on January 6, but in an even less compelling manner than Liz Cheney did, then reiterated the lie that the “fortified” election was the most secure.

Biden also took on the GOP’s 2022 candidates, saying, “It’s estimated that there are more than 300 election deniers on the ballot across the country,” and then asserting that “Democracy is on the ballot this year” – and voting for GOP candidates equals not voting for democracy, according to Biden.

These “election deniers,” Biden says, are “extreme MAGA Republicans” who are already stealing the election, or something. This is a blatant attempt to discredit the results of Tuesday’s election, since Democrats are expected to lose big.

Republicans have been pushing the point that it shouldn’t take weeks to count ballots, especially since technology makes it easier than ever to get a quick, accurate count. Well, Biden can’t have that. Or, more accurately, the people who are writing his speeches can’t have that.

He then attempted to show some statesmanship, trying to say, “We settle our differences peaceably at the ballot box,” but something different came out. Freudian, or brain jumble?

And, again, he pushed an unproven January 6 connection to the attack on Paul Pelosi.

Rights are sacred, Biden says. Unless you’re an extremist MAGA Republican or still living in the womb.

All in all, this speech was a huge fail and won’t inspire anyone outside of Jen Rubin circles to get to the ballot box. But hey, at least he didn’t say voters were too dumb to understand what’s at stake in the election, like election denier Hillary Clinton did.
