Just three weeks after announcing that she was heading up the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board, Nina Jankowicz resigned yesterday. If I’m not mistaken, Nina’s duration in that position amounted to exactly two Scaramuccis.
Okay, for those who don’t know, people began measuring the duration of time someone spent on the job based on how long Anthony Scaramucci served as former President Trump’s White House communications director.
Scaramucci lasted 11 days.
Since Nina Jankowicz lasted 22 days, the duration of her tenure is two Scaramuccis.
In fact, the entire Disinformation Governance Board only lasted two Scaramuccis as well.
It was reported yesterday that Homeland Security has put the stupid, unconstitutional Ministry of Truth on hold after facing massive pushback from Congress and the public.
And I’m just tickled pink about it.
Sure, Jankowicz is portraying herself as a victim and the Washington Post’s report (inexplicably written by that dope Taylor Lorenz) is claiming Jankowicz and her Ministry of Truth were both victims of a “disinformation campaign” by people who noticed Jankowicz’s previous tweets, statements, and remarks.
But in Biden’s America, members of the American press aren’t guardians of free speech, but purveyors of propaganda and disinformation.
Jankowicz was an insane choice, and not just because she likes to belt out show tunes like an attention-craving high school drama kid.
Her previous writings, interviews, and social media history are all crammed with anti-Free Speech advocacy and promotion of debunked conspiracy theories (like Russian collusion).
Nina is so bad at separating fact from “disinformation” that she uncritically fell for the lie that Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop was “Russian disinformation.”
What’s more, Broadway Nina is a proponent of government censorship and a vocal opponent of the free exchange of ideas.
Frankly, it’s a wonder she lasted two Scaramuccis.
Nina Jankowicz should’ve been kicked to the curb after 22 minutes, not 22 days.
But considering she was hired by people who thought forming a Disinformation Governance Board was a good idea, I guess her managing to last two Scaramuccis makes more sense.
No matter how you cut it, this is a massive blunder for the Biden administration.
And you know how I know it’s a massive blunder?
The White House is maintaining a safe distance from the entire hot mess.
During yesterday’s press briefing, the blundering nincompoop who replaced press secretary Jen Psaki assured reporters that the White House had no “involvement in this at all.”
Believe me. If the country responded in cheers over the creation of this unconstitutional Ministry of Truth, this White House would be first in line to take credit for it.
Now, don’t expect the Biden administration or the Democrats to give up on trying to control the free exchange of ideas.
They will never stop trying to find a way around the First Amendment.
Just this week, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer wrote a letter to Fox News demanding they instruct Tucker Carlson to stop “promoting” the so-called “Great Replacement” theory.
In addition to being a violation of the First Amendment right to a Free Press, Schumer’s letter is in itself disinformation.
Tucker has never claimed that Jewish elites are deliberately attempting to eradicate whites from the population through mass immigration.
Tucker warning about unfettered open borders while pointing out how Democrats celebrate the possibility of whites becoming a minority in the United States isn’t remotely the same as “promoting” the “Great Replacement” theory.
Meanwhile, in New York State, the hectoring shrew who replaced disgraced Governor Andrew Cuomo is incorrectly claiming that the First Amendment does not protect “hate speech.”
Kathy Hochul’s constitutionally ignorant comments even raised the ire of Democrat constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley.
If Democrats can’t get censorship by way of a Disinformation Governance Board, by God, they will find another way to do it — even if they have to burn the entire Constitution to ashes.
