Eliminating Dr. Doom’s Job

Eliminating Dr. Doom’s Job

Rand Paul introduces an amendment.

“We’ve learned a lot over the past two years, but one lesson in particular is that no one person should be deemed ‘dictator in chief.’ No one person should have unilateral authority to make decisions for millions of Americans.”

That was Sen. Rand Paul and the dictator is Biden advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci, a government bureaucrat since 1968 and head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984.

Paul, a physician for more than 33 years, has “never encountered someone with the gall to proclaim himself ‘the science’ and portray anyone opposing him as ‘attacking science.’ That is, until Dr. Fauci became the COVID dictator-in-chief.” Paul mourns “those we lost to the crushing and overbearing lockdowns and mandates that were based on junk science.”

Paul will introduce an amendment to eliminate Fauci’s NIAID position and establish three new institutes headed by presidential appointees, confirmed by the Senate, and serving a term of five years. As Paul explains, “my amendment, which will get a vote this week, will finally force accountability and fire Dr. Fauci.” Such a move is long overdue, and the timing is right.

“You may be done with COVID,” Fauci told reporters last month,  “but COVID is not done with the United States, nor is COVID done with the world.” Fauci’s dictatorial clout, coupled with junk science, empowers the NIAID boss to fulfill his own prophecy.

Dr. Fauci funded dangerous gain-of-function research the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which received a cargo of deadly pathogens from Canada’s National Microbiology Laboratory, courtesy of Chinese national Dr. Xiangguo Qiu. Despite these realities, Fauci maintains that the covid virus was the product of “natural evolution from an animal reservoir to a human,” which was pure speculation, not a matter of science.

When researchers found evidence that the covid virus was engineered in a lab, Fauci pressured them to change their position and parrot his. If the virus arose naturally in the wild, as Fauci theorized, endless variants could suddenly appear in distant lands. Omicron, for example, was first announced in South Africa, and last November Fauci said Omicron could already be in the United States, where the super-transmissible variant would “find just about everybody.”

With his NIAID budget of more than $6 billion, Fauci controls public health policy and medical research spending, the dangerous concentration of power Sen. Paul wants to end.

“Dealing with Tony Fauci is like dealing with organized crime,” Dr. Jonathan Fishbein told RFK Jr., author of The Real Anthony Fauci. Fauci is “like the Godfather. He has connections everywhere. He’s always got people that he’s giving money to in powerful positions to make sure he gets his way, that he gets what he wants.”

Fauci’s theory that covid arose naturally in the wild means that a new variant could suddenly spring forth in Africa, where Fauci prefers to conduct his risk drug trials. As with Omicron, Fauci could announce that the new variant is already here, and call for new lockdowns and restrictions. In the run-up to the midterms, those could function as a kind of martial law for the Biden Junta, without any backup by way of actual science.

Dr. Fauci’s bio shows no advanced degrees in molecular biology or biochemistry. Dr. Fauci has never treated a covid patient and has reversed himself on many issues.  The NIAID boss is already claiming that those who oppose him are fueling death threats. Like Fauci’s claim to represent science, this is another incantation to ward off criticism.

As Sen. Paul has noted, when Bernie Sanders’ supporter James Hodgkinson gunned down five Republicans in 2017, nearly killing Rep. Steve Scalise, nobody blamed the Vermont socialist for the attack. Nobody has attempted such an attack on Fauci, who has authorized cruel medical experiments on black and Hispanic foster children in New York.

Dr. Fauci’s medical experiments on unwilling subjects have sparked comparisons to Josef Mengele, but Fauci also functions like Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels. As Kennedy shows, Fauci’s concentration of power enables him to control the narrative and punish dissenters, including the public at large.

“We lost more than individuals,” Rand Paul writes. “We lost our freedoms. Our liberties. Our vibrant small town Main Streets. Our children’s growth and learning. For two years our lives were held captive by petty tyrants and power-hungry bureaucrats.”

A megalomaniac Lysenko figure is unfit to lead a government agency. By ushering Dr. Fauci off stage, Rand Paul’s amendment could pull down the curtain on white coat supremacy, incompatible with individual rights and American democracy.

Fauci’s NIAID is too failed to be big, and Sen. Paul’s plan could start cutting it down to size. Embattled Americans should keep a close watch on the vote for this amendment.
