Is the Truckers for Freedom Movement in Canada Partly Inspired by Donald Trump?

T.LaDuke reporting for RedState

Former United States President Donald Trump has been accused of a great many things the past five years — this question I had might be one he would not mind being responsible for at all. Actually, I’m pretty sure the former President doesn’t mind being accused of any the nonsense thrown his way, he likes the battle in a way that is rare for elected officials present and former.

I have been covering, over the past couple of days here at Red State, a full-blown grassroots movement happening up in Canada at this very moment. I can not get enough of following our Canadian neighbors as they mobilize in what looks to be historic numbers to travel to their capital in Ottawa and protest the COVID mandates that the government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has imposed on that nation.

Here is a brief recap of what I wrote yesterday regarding what is occurring in the Great White North. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Has a Massive Protest Brewing Over His Jab Mandate

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeaus’ government dropped the hammer on Canadian truckers being mandated to be poked last January 15th and Joe Biden ordered the same for truckers here this past Saturday the 22nd.

According to an article from Canada, the Canadian truckers are not taking this well.

“We are taking our fight to the doorsteps of our Federal Government and demanding that they cease all mandates against its people,” wrote Go Fund Me organizer Tamara Lich. “Small businesses are being destroyed, homes are being destroyed, and people are being mistreated and denied fundamental necessities to survive.”

The decision for Canadian truckers to meet in Ottawa to protest the vaccine mandate comes as the industry struggles with issues , such as disruptions to the supply chain and a shortage of drivers.
The federal vaccine mandate could result in a loss of 12,000 to 16,000 cross-border commercial drivers, according to the Canadian Trucking Alliance .
The mandate came into effect on Jan. 15, which means Canadian truckers must show proof of vaccination to avoid taking COVID-19 tests before reaching the border. They will also have to quarentine when they return from the United States. American truckers who are unvaccinated will not be allowed to enter.

On Wednesday, a group of truck drivers protested the mandate at the US-Manitoba international border, blocking the highway and slowing traffic.

What started out as truckers protesting a forced vax mandate to cross over to the U.S. and back to Canada has blown up to average Canadians of all walks of life standing on the side of the road in the dead of winter holding signs as the convoy travels by. The thousands of people I have watched via Facebook live and youtube videos over the past 48 hours have been absolutely awe-inspiring. These Canadian patriots are not only driving, in some cases thousands of miles (kilometers) across the country but thousands more are cheering them on to tell the elected officials in Ottawa to knock it off with mandates.

Now, the unusual thing that has jumped out at me over the last day is that I’m hearing and seeing Canadians who are sick of the policies of Justin Trudeau getting in mentions of our former President. The really shocking thing for the bubbleheads at CNN and MSNBC is that some of these people seem to LOVE Trump. I know it is still confusing to those very same MSM purveyors of propaganda that people in THIS country still love him. Yet, during a protest countrywide of Prime Minster Black Face, that people are throwing love at Trump of all people must make them want to cry themselves to sleep.

Here are just a couple of brief examples just to give you a flavor of this.

A Canadian gent with a Facebook page named The Real Pat King has been doing multiple live feeds on their way to Ottawa. In this video linked HERE, you can see starting around the 3-minute mark the sea of humanity standing in the cold to cheer this convoy on. Skip up to the 9-minute mark to see and hear the comments about a Trump sign in the crowd.

This tweet shows that MCGA may not sound as cool as MAGA but the Trump influence still is evident

Over the past 5 years, I have often written here at Red State and talked on my radio show and podcast about the mystery of why blue-collar workers in this country swarmed to Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020. Now I have to add to this pondering why blue-collar Canadians like him it seems.

Now, before someone leaves me a nasty message in the comment section here, let me just state I have a pretty good understanding of why but it still amazes me. When a billionaire former reality TV show host is able to connect with the hard-working folks of the United States better than the blue-blooded lifelong political pansies and pudding brains of the Democrat and Republican parties you should ponder why.

Knowing that President Trump had a bit of a cool relationship with Prime Minister Trudeau, I’m sure one of these men is highly amused right now and the other might be a bit miffed. I’m going to guess that the miffed one is the guy who has a convoy of diesel engines coming to his town this weekend to remind him that he works for the citizens of Canada and not the other way around.

That some of those citizens might be inspired by the 45th President of the United States is just salt in whatever political wound he is about to experience.

God’s Speed to the men and women of Canada and safe travels to those who are peacefully calling for an end to the idiocy of never-ending mandates. You have lots of Americans cheering you on.
