GOP-led states are working to grant unemployment benefits to people who lost their jobs to tyrannical COVID-19 vaccine mandates, but President Joe Biden’s former COVID adviser said he doesn’t think the unvaxxed deserve financial help.
While officials in Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, and Tennessee have created ways to compensate workers who lost their jobs over a once-private medical decision, Ezekiel Emanuel said the unvaccinated don’t deserve any exceptions created based on “politics.”
“I don’t like this incentive at all. I think this basically says people are rejecting the vaccine mainly because they are against vaccinations are doing social harm, and now governors are rewarding them. That’s very bad sent incentive and just the opposite of what the country needs,” Emanuel said on CNN.
Emanuel also claimed that the Founding Fathers would have supported pushing people to get the COVID-19 jab.
“I don’t think it’s in the name of individual liberty. It’s in the name of politics,” he added.
Emanuel’s harsh commentary comes as Democrat governors start to scale back the COVID-19 mandates they claimed would help curb the spread of the virus ahead of their upcoming elections in 2022.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul promised to keep schools open despite corporate media panic about the Omicron variant of the virus. Colorado Gov. Jared Polis recently pledged to refuse the reintroduction of mask mandates in the state. He was quickly joined by Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont, who said he wants the public to focus on getting booster shots. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who was routinely criticized for her failed COVID-19 response and deadly nursing home policies, which were similar to those of former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, went one step further and said she would not enact a statewide vaccine mandate due to staffing shortages.
