We’ve written extensively on how embattled Vice President Kamala Harris has been hit with more bad press just in time for the holidays, with even the Democrat apologists at CNN getting in on the action by reporting how Biden staffers were allegedly growing increasingly frustrated with Harris. In addition to that are reports of an alleged rift between President Biden and Harris, which is said to be growing even as the lame excuses for it all are presented (and rejected).
In the midst of the burgeoning turmoil at Kamala HQ and as Biden dashes her hopes of a 2024 run for president, we turn to Biden and Harris appearing together Tuesday along with their significant others at a soup kitchen in Washington, D.C. to help prepare Thanksgiving meals.
During the event from start to finish, Biden appeared to snub Harris at various points, giving a very brief glance in her direction once she joined him in the food prep line roughly 14 minutes into the video. Biden mostly stayed turned away from her and spent most of his time talking to soup kitchen chef Dawain Arrington. In contrast, at certain points, First Lady Jill Biden and First Gentleman Doug Emhoff appeared to be having a time of it, with Mrs. Biden and Emhoff at one point warmly embracing and looking like old friends, as seen in photos posted by the New York Post:
When asked by a reporter what he was grateful for, Biden put an arm around DC Central Kitchen chef Dawain Arrington — who was standing to the president’s left with Harris at Biden’s right — and said, “The people I’m standing next to are what I’m thankful for. He got up. He was knocked down, but he got up.”
[…]
Press pool microphones didn’t capture any words between Biden and Harris and the president seemed to ignore the veep and return immediately to his conversation with Arrington as he placed turkey on trays.
At one point, Biden could be heard telling the chef about a time when facilities were “segregated by law.”
How awkward that must have been for Arrington, who is black, to be getting a history lesson of sorts on segregation from the old white guy who once boasted of being able to work with segregationists senators?
Watch the video clip below. It’s about 23 minutes long and Harris joins him at roughly the 15:22 (prompted) mark after working another prep line for a short time. You never see him speak to her, but she speaks to Jill Biden numerous times. POTUS barely looks at Harris but at about 17 minutes in you see her look directly at him almost as though she’s waiting for him to acknowledge or speak to her. He never does:
There’s definitely some snubbing going on here, but in my opinion, Joe Biden also seemed lost and perhaps incoherent at certain moments in the video, as though he was overwhelmed and just trying to get through it by taking direction from Chef Arrington on what to do next. His body language just speaks volumes, as it often does when he appears in public.
After finishing at the soup kitchen, the Bidens headed off to spend the holiday in Nantucket to partake in the First Family feast, while struggling Americans in crowded grocery stores all across the country are standing in long lines today to buy food that is more expensive thanks to Joe Biden’s disastrous economic policies – otherwise known as “Bidenomics.”
