Yesterday I watched The View as Kamala Harris was to be the guest for the entire hour but her interview ended up being less then 8 minutes and was done remotely from back stage. She didn't come out at all and did not address the audience who waited patiently to meet her.
Why?
Hosts Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin were pulled off the stage during the opening suddenly because they tested positive for covid. I find it very ironic that the opening monologue included if they will get the booster shot, despite all four of the hosts being double vaccinated. Joy Behar, during the opening, even suggested that the non- vaccinated that are in hospitals not get priority medical attention!
After the two hosts were taken off the stage, they did a thorough cleaning of the seats, table etc but Kamala refused to come out. She and her team felt it was "unsafe" to which Joy even concurred by saying that Kamala needs to be protected from this.
After a lot of back and forth with questions from the audience Kamala appeared on a screen only to have less then 10 minutes of the show to go. The two remaining hosts dodged through a few questions quickly about border control and abortion to which Kamala made a promise to overturn the 6 week law in Texas. She concluded the interview stating that its important to get vaccinated.
Also: As the interview unfolded Joy Behar began coughing quite loudly and it was almost to the point of distraction and you couldn't even hear Kamala dodge the question about Afghanistan. Maybe Joy has covid now too?
Did you watch the show?
What do you think of the hosts getting covid? Shouldn't these results be read PRIOR to starting the show? Especially before the guests are to appear on stage? Why did Kamala's team not request the test results?
Did Kamala do the right thing by remaining back stage?
