Biden Lies His Head off When Challenged by Reporter on His Policies

Joe Biden’s staff doesn’t like him taking questions. They never know when he will gaffe. But in addition to the gaffing is the other problem that Biden has — often when he’s challenged, he tends to lie.

As we reported, Biden spoke on a few subjects Friday, including Afghanistan and COVID booster shots. Unbelievably, he claimed he had “no apologies” for the debacle that he caused with the way he rolled out the Afghanistan withdrawal. He showed he has absolutely no shame.

But after he finished his remarks, this time he actually took some questions. That’s where he got into trouble again.

One reporter asked Biden a great question that put him on the spot. “You came into office on a message of competence and unity,” the reporter asked. “We’ve witnessed what’s happened in the country over the past several months. We’ve seen the chaotic troop withdrawal from Afghanistan. The threat of a government shut down right now. And Democrats, members of your own party, are still divided over your agenda going forward. So, what do you say to Americans who say that you have not delivered on that promise?”

Biden claimed it was going to take him a year to deliver on everything he promised. A year until he’s competent and actually a unifier? Why would that take a year? The problem is he isn’t now and he won’t be in the future.

He’s not even answering the question that’s being asked; he’s answering the imaginary question he constructed in his head. “Um, uh. Take a look at what I inherited when I came into office, when I came into office, the state of affairs and where we were. We had 4 million people vaccinated, we had no plan – I could go down the list…I’m not complaining, it’s just the reality.”

He literally is complaining — and trying to attribute his failures to President Donald Trump — with a straight-up lie.

What he inherited was a country in good position because of the competence and efforts of Trump. Trump was responsible for getting the vaccine in record time, starting to put it out in December. By the time Biden came in, in just that short period of time, the CDC said it had administered 16,525,281 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, as of the morning of Jan. 20, and distributed 35,990,150 doses. And of course there was a plan or it never would have happened. He inherited the plan. He also inherited a system which was averaging administering shots at just under 1 million a day at that point and had already achieved more than one million doses a day on a few occasions during the Trump administration.

He should have been grateful at the extraordinary achievement that Trump laid in his lap. Instead, he frequently tries to blame Trump for his failures. We’re still waiting on Biden’s plan to “shut down the virus.”

Notice how Biden also avoided the part of the reporter’s question about Afghanistan and doesn’t really answer the question about the division within the Democratic Party on his plans.

So, can we expect the media to fact-check him on his lie and administer a few Pinocchios? Doubtful.
