Aborto-Ghoul Says Unless You Have a COVID Vaccine You Should Be Locked in Your Home and Forbidden to Travel Anywhere

streiff reporting for RedState

There are few things more disgusting than a pro-abort. When the pro-abort is a doctor, the needle on the Grotesque-o-Meter moves even further into the red zone as you have someone who studied and took an oath to save life participating in the slaughter of innocents. If that doctor is a woman, whom I’d expect (anachronistically, I suppose) to have something like a maternal instinct and instinctively know how precious babies, of all ages, are and makes a career of leading an organization that specializes in killing babies, the needle turns into a rotor and spins right off the dashboard. Such a person is Leana Wen.

Once she was defenestrated from her perch as president of Planned Parenthood, she branched out into giving bad takes on CNN. That doesn’t make her stand out. This is the same network that has shows headlined by Don Lemon, Chris Hayes, S. E. Cupp, and Chris Cuomo, among others. Given the political hysteria surrounding the Wuhan “pandemic,” it was only natural that Wen would migrate to being CNN’s authority on that subject with all that implies.

The stated White House policy to dealing with the national panic over the Wuhan virus is to a) blame unvaccinated people for spreading the disease to vaccinated people…yes, you read that correctly:

If you are curious how something that used to protect you from a disease now does nothing beyond act as a mystical talisman, read The CDC Suddenly Changes the Definition of ‘Vaccine’ and ‘Vaccination’.

At the same time, they intend to ratchet up the pressure on those of us who refuse to be vaccinated for this particular disease (before calling me “anti-vax,” how about we compare vaccination histories) by attempting to make life difficult by imposing “mandates” for vaccination (Biden Proved Today What Liars They Are With Vaccine Mandate).

This has been like catnip for a budding fascist like Wen. Thursday night on Chris Cuomo’s show, she went full-Australian. She opined that anyone without a vaccine for Wuhan virus should be confined to their homes.

I say that we need to start looking at the choice to remain unvaccinated, the same as we look at driving while intoxicated, that you have the option to not get vaccinated, if you want. But then, you can’t go out in public.

Because, when you go out in public, you have the potential of infecting other people, with a potentially deadly disease, just like you can choose to drink in private, if you want. But if you get behind the wheel of a car, and can endanger other people, there is an obligation, by society, to prevent you from doing that.

This will be a shock to Wen, but drunks can actually leave their house. You can even drink in public. There are videos of it happening. Moreover, drunk driving is prohibited by law, not by executive fiat.

Yesterday, she went even further. Here she is on Kate Bolduan’s show that no one watches along with right-hand man Jeffrey Toobin. No, I don’t know why he was on the show and I’m damned sure I don’t want to think about what is going on as Wen is talking.

While she starts out talking about requiring the Wuhan vaccine to travel by airplane or train. Then, out of left field, she concludes there is no constitutional right to travel. Period.

There are privileges associated with being an American. That if you wish to have these privileges, you need to get vaccinated. Travel, and having the right to travel in our state, it’s not a constitutional right as far as I know to board a plane.

Even were we to view this in the most charitable light, that is, she is only talking about plane travel, the only way this is vaguely accurate is by bold-facing the “as far as I know” which, in this case, means she doesn’t know a whole lot. The times the federal no-fly list has been litigated, it hasn’t turned out well for the government. If the ACLU were consistent, it would challenge the no-vax-no-fly rule. But is isn’t, so it won’t. This is from 49 U.S. Code § 40103:

(2) A citizen of the United States has a public right of transit through the navigable airspace. To further that right, the Secretary of Transportation shall consult with the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board established under section 502 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 792) before prescribing a regulation or issuing an order or procedure that will have a significant impact on the accessibility of commercial airports or commercial air transportation for handicapped individuals.

The implication here is pretty clear. A “right of transit through the navigable airspace” implies the right to board a private or commercial aircraft, otherwise, it is a meaningless statement. A right, even one granted by Congress, can’t be abrogated by the mere fiat of a so-called president. At a minimum, it provides fertile ground for litigation as absolutely no other vaccine against any communicable disease is required to board an aircraft and the “public health” community is now admitting that vaccinated people can spread the disease. If you doubt me, then check with the CDC…I mean they do know what they are talking about, right?

Fully vaccinated people with Delta variant breakthrough infections can spread the virus to others. However, vaccinated people appear to spread the virus for a shorter time.

The idea that there is no right to travel is becoming popular with the Ministry of Fear but that is nonsense. Unlike the question of plane travel, the issue of travel,in general, has been litigated by the Supreme Court.

In Sáenz v. Roe, decided in 1999, the Supreme Court stated, unequivocally, that there was a constitutional right to travel between states. The decision was 7-2 with Rehnquist and Thomas dissenting, but their dissent was based on the logic used by the majority (14th Amendment) rather than relying upon the “privileges and immunities” clause. So, really, it was 9-0. This is not an outlier, it is merely the latest of the cases that state that citizens have the right to travel as they please within the United States.

It would be great if Wen was an exception, but she isn’t. The left is allowing the Wuhan “pandemic” to release its inner totalitarian and letting the world see the way their principles are strictly situational and their lack of regard for civil or human rights.

None of the actions taken to respond to the alleged pandemic have anything to do with public health. They have everything to do with the aggrandizement of power by the “public health” mafia, the use of “public health” as a means of attacking constitutional rights, and the control of the US population.
