Lawmaker Who Told Kamala Sex Joke Wants You to Know Your ‘Emotional Opinions Are Irrelevant’

Before we get started, lemme just say two words. I agree. Now that we have that out of the way, not only did an Oklahoma state senator recently tell a (hilarious) Kamala Harris sex joke, but instantaneous liberal outrage ensued, as well. The lawmaker’s response? He pretty much told the offended to f**k off,” and remained unrepentant. Defiantly so.

See why I agreed?

Sen. Nathan Dahm defended himself on Twitter on Friday, saying he had no plans to be “politically correct” and has been told his jokes “are hilarious.” Dahm’s joke came as he was talking with Oklahoma City TV station KTUL-TV about a bill proposing a ban on paper straws when he said:

“You can’t use a paper straw for a milkshake but maybe Kamala Harris could because of her vast experience, maybe she would be able to get that accomplished.”

As the firestorm immediately erupted, Dahm wanted everybody to get a few things straight.

“BREAKING: if you think I’m going to be “politically correct” you need to realize a few things.

1) you obviously know nothing about me

2) you’re in for a bad time

3) I’ve been assured my jokes are hilarious

4) your emotional opinions are irrelevant”

How can you not love this guy? Unless you’re a bitter liberal, that is.

Here’s Dahm, talking about the introduction of his bill in the Oklahoma state Senate.

“Today in honor of #EarthDay I filed a bill to ban paper straws. Enjoy my press release on why. Here’s an excerpt:

“You have states, like California, where the leftist loons have banned plastic straws because they saw a video on social media about a sea turtle…”

Fortunately, he wasn’t finished.

And the money-shot set-up.

“Hatred of paper straws is nearly universal. I’ve never met a single person who enjoys using a paper straw.

“They fall apart and turn to mush quicker than Joe Biden trying to string together a coherent sentence.

“They collapse like Mitt Romney under the slightest amount of pressure, and even with Kamala Harris … well, never mind.”

Raise your hand if the next word after “Harris” immediately popped into your head. This is where I sometimes sarcastically add, “[Name] was unavailable for comment.” Wisely, I chose not to do so, this time.

A local ABC News affiliate reporter took Dahm to task over the joke, asking why — when having an “adult conversation about deregulation” — the 38-year-old senator would choose to “throw in basically an oral sex implication.”

I just gotta a say it. Dahm’s response — as you might expect, by now — was hilarious.

As reported by Fox News:

The senator claimed he was being an “equal opportunist” by mocking Biden and Romney as well and he clarified the Harris joke by saying viewers could “figure out how she got trajection into politics,” by doing their own research, according to KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City.

He was referencing unsubstantiated rumors that Harris had advanced her career by dating influential men who could help her, rather than by her own accomplishments.

HillReporter.com’s Reese Gorman was not impressed with any of this.

“Here’s the video of Oklahoma state Sen. Nathan Dahm directing the completely false, sexist and derogatory statement at Vice President Kamala Harris.”

Um, Reese?

“Coincidentally,” former California Gov. Willie Brown wrote a letter to the San Francisco Chronicle in January 2019, about dating Cackles Harris and appointing her to two posts, as reported by USA Today at the time.

“Yes, we dated. It was more than 20 years ago,” wrote Brown, who said he had “been peppered with calls from the national media about my ‘relationship’ with Kamala Harris, particularly since it became obvious that she was going to run for president.”

Brown was married at the time he and Harris dated, but – because he had been “estranged from his wife” Blanche Brown since 1981, according to People magazine – the relationship was not kept secret.

A Sacramento Bee reporter told People that Brown “had a succession of girlfriends” and would “go to a party with his wife on one arm and his girlfriend on the other.”

Harris’s office did not “immediately respond” to USA TODAY’s request for comment on Brown’s letter to the Chronicle.

Journalist Glenn Greenwald had mixed emotions Saturday.

On one hand, Greenwald didn’t seem to have a problem with the timing of the affair — let’s call it was it was, Willie, mmkay? — and Harris’ various career advancements (“patronage jobs”), but suggested that the “31-year age gap violates every Puritan’s formula.”

Alicia Andrews, Oklahoma Democratic chair, said of Dahm’s comments:

“It was absolutely the frat boy behavior that I’ve come to expect from our current legislator. I know where it comes from.

“I don’t want to give it any airtime. I want to focus on the fact that Nathan Dahm has once again embraced himself and our state.”

As luck would have it — for Democrat political expediency, that is — Brown is black. And you know what that means.

“I am an unapologetically proud black woman, but I am so tired of having to come before the press and talk about issues of race.

“It’s 2021 and it’s horrific to me that I don’t get to talk about the issues that face Oklahoma, except, frankly these are the issues that face Oklahoma because these are the people who are representing us.”

For context, MSNBC lunatic race-hustler extraordinaire Joy Reid is also an “unapologetically proud black woman” — and then some.

Finally, Oklahoma Democrat House Minority Leader Emily Virgin — I know, right? — called Dahm’s remarks “despicable.” (I’m not touching that.)

“This is not the attitude or the feeling of the vast majority of people at the State Capitol,” Virgin said, according to KFOR.

With all due respect, Ms. Virgin, to paraphrase Hillary, what difference does it make?

As the great Democrat statesman Daniel Patrick Moynihan famously said: “You are entitled to your own opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts.”

Reality sometimes bites, huh?
