Boycotting the Georgia Run-Off is a tremendously bad idea

For the sake of the nation, for the preservation of the Republic, don’t use the Georgia run-off as a bargaining chip.

One of the problems with acting out of emotion is it often leads to making aggressively stupid decisions. And this push to boycott the Georgia run-off election is a prime example of that. It is a tremendously bad idea fueled by anger and frustration.

And it will not end the way you think it will.

I’ve spent the last few years discussing what I call Operation Backfire. In short, in an effort to get what you want, you push too hard and too far, and in the end your plans blow up in your face like a trick cigar.

Every example of Operation Backfire that I’ve written about has come from the Left.

Boycotting the Georgia run-off election is the first Operation Backfire I’ve seen embraced by some on the Right.

And it is an Operation Backfire of the thermonuclear variety.

Boycotting the Georgia run-off will not teach them a lesson. It won’t put the fear of God into Georgia’s Republican-led government.

It will, however, hand the Senate to the Democrats and punish the entire nation.

In other words, it will backfire on the whole country in a big, BIG way.

Now, I think a lot of this “Boycott the Georgia Run-Off” garbage is being pushed on social media by Left-funded groups who long for a Democrat Senate — including the prats from the Lincoln Project.

The problem is, there are people on the Right who have glommed onto this idiotic idea as well.

So rather than “staking the Republic to Romney, Sasse and Collins ….LOL,” this idiot is willing to put the fate of the Republic in the hands of Chuck Schumer.

Are you kidding me?

And he’s not the only one.

You have the attorney Lin Wood who is theoretically fighting voter fraud in support of Donald Trump telling Georgia Republicans at a press conference yesterday to skip the run-off.

Sidney Powell also chimed in at the same press conference encouraging “all Georgians to make it known that you will not vote at all unless your vote is secure.”

This is unbelievably reckless, shortsighted and stupid.

And you wonder why I’m skeptical of those two. This is why I’m skeptical. The bigger the platform they receive, the further and harder they push. And it is going to backfire.

said a couple weeks ago that every movement gathers grifters like barnacles on the hull of a ship. Trump supporters have donated money to both Powell and Wood. Lots and lots of money. And this is the message they send to voters – sit out the run-off?

This isn’t just cutting off your nose to spite your face; this is pointing a gun at your nose, pulling the trigger and blowing the back of your head all over the wall.

I know I have readers from Georgia. Guys, please, don’t listen to these fools. I’m begging you. For the sake of the nation we all love, I’m begging you to vote for Loeffler and Purdue on January 5th.

Boycotting the Georgia run-off isn’t going to punish the RINOs; it’s going to punish every one of us. We’ll lose the country. Handing the Senate to the Democrats will open the floodgates to the radical, anti-American Left. The filibuster will end and any hope of preserving the Republic will be lost.

There are other ways to pressure Georgia’s legislature and governor to bolster election security — ways that don’t destroy the entire country in the process.

So please, for the sake of the nation, for the preservation of the Republic, don’t use the Georgia run-off as a bargaining chip.

It will backfire. Not just on the Senate, but on the entire country as well.
