The Teeny Tiny Tyrant says “Do what you’re told”

You think he’s bad now. Just imagine how much power he’ll get in a Biden Administration.

It’s been incredibly instructive watching these closet dictators exploit the Wuhan Pandemic to unleash their inner tyrant. The Left will always tell you who they are. You don’t need to beat it out of them or drag it out of them or trick them into revealing their true face. It isn’t necessary to do a thing. Because in the end, they always tip their hand.

Take the teeny tiny tyrant Anthony Fauci.

Can you imagine what a high it is for him to be treated like the Official Expert on Everything?

This diminutive researcher has spent his life a veritable pint-sized nobody in a white lab coat. Then the Wuhan Pandemic hit, and a media hell-bent on destroying President Trump turned Fauci into a rock star. And it’s gone to the little guy’s head.

Entrepreneurs gifted in the art of making a buck off of the latest fad raked in the dough selling Fauci merchandise to the gullible masses – T-shirts, socks, and of course Fauci masks.

Hollywood celebrities fawn over him.

He was invited to throw out the first pitch at a ballgame the hoi polloi weren’t permitted to attend because Dr. Fauci declared it unsafe.

He found himself getting the kind of soft-focus magazine cover stories ordinarily reserved for movie stars and Michelle Obama.

Cable news personalities give his every utterance a level of reverence not seen since God spoke from the burning bush.

That’s bound to go to anybody’s head – especially when one is three feet tall and completely unfamiliar with that kind of fawning attention.

The cult of personality that has grown around this wee little man has given him such an outsized ego, Dr. Fauci has turned into a teeny tiny tyrant who believes he can order us around whenever he wishes.

Well, I’m glad the teeny tiny tyrant finds that so amusing.

I confess this news infuriated me just a wee bit.

In April, in my column “Don’t fire Fauci; just keep him in his lane” I said:

Now, Fauci could just say to them, “Listen, I’m a virus guy. I’m not an economist or an expert in public policy. And I’m certainly no Constitutional scholar. It would be inappropriate for me to weigh in on this.” But he doesn’t. Instead, Fauci veers out of his lane and fields every stupid question these cable news personalities toss his way.

But he’s human. It’s human nature to get caught up in that kind of attention. It’s a big boost to one’s ego to suddenly be in the spotlight — having reporters hang on your every word. Plus, he’s a doctor and we all know how egotistical doctors can be. So it doesn’t surprise me that Fauci decides to opine on every topic tossed his way.

And that’s the problem I have with Dr. Fauci. He’s being forced out of his lane by an eager, hungry media. And for some reason, he just goes along with it.

After six months of this, are you surprised that this obscure researcher now sees himself as a teeny tiny tyrant?

What makes this all terrifically funny is the poor sap doesn’t even realize that he’s being used.

The news media doesn’t really have any slavish devotion to him. It isn’t about him at all. Fauci is just a useful idiot in their four-year war against Donald Trump.

Fact is, if the Wuhan Pandemic hit the world five years ago, the news media, hell-bent on protecting and shielding Obama from anything that made him look bad, would have downplayed the virus. CNN and MSNBC wouldn’t have kept on the screen the daily death and infection tally the way they do now. And Dr. Fauci would never have become a household name.

But the Wuhan Pandemic struck when the media’s archenemy was President. So the media latched onto this nobody like a bitter girl flirting with a short, unattractive guy to make her ex-boyfriend jealous. And Fauci, a man totally unused to this kind of attention, is stupid enough to believe that the media’s flirty behavior is due to his own potency.

As a result, Fauci’s reach exceeds his grasp. Which isn’t that difficult considering he’s three feet tall.

The downside of course is should Biden get in the White House, Fauci’s current flirtation with tyranny will seem like child’s play.

Now, this teeny tiny tyrant wannabe can pop off and demand we do what we’re told, and it won’t amount to a hill of beans. So long as Trump is in the White House, Fauci has no power to get the government to act on his arrogant dictates.

But a Biden Administration would acquiesce to the teeny tiny tyrant without a moment’s hesitation.

A Biden Administration would embrace this unelected, unaccountable half-pint dictator’s “Do what you’re told” order without batting an eye.

And once they take hold of that kind of dictatorial power, they will never ever give it up. The Wuhan virus could be eradicated from the planet and this “do what you’re told” mentality will be here to stay.
