Resume-Packing Kamala gets the easy ride

Hey, why do the hard work of facing Democrat primary voters when you can take the shortcut to the White House without them?

The Biden campaign announced that the Resume-Packing Kamala Harris has been selected as Joe’s running mate.

Yeah. I saw that coming. That afternoon @beyondreasdoubt held a last-minute Twitter poll and I was one of the 24.9% who knew it was going to be the Resume-Packing Kamala.

Kamala has a long history of getting ahead without having to do any of the hard work – unless you consider playing hide the sausage with Willie Brown hard work.

And given how she began her calculated journey to the White House by kanoodling with that old man, I can’t be the only one wondering what precisely Kamala offered to do for Joe to give herself a leg up (so to speak) in the Veep-Stakes.

Her entire career was focused on one thing: the White House.

It’s why she ran for California Attorney General.  It’s why she ran for the Senate.

And it’s why, after only two years in Congress, she launched her Presidential bid.

A far-Left Democrat winning statewide office is easy. Running for President would require Resume-Packing Kamala to knuckle down and do the hard work — namely, actually face Democrat primary voters in states other than California.

But Kamala likes an easy ride. And selling herself to voters in Iowa or South Carolina ain’t the easy ride. So in what can only be described as a profile in cowardice, she bailed on the 2020 race two months before Democrat primary voters had a chance to weigh in on whether they wanted the Resume-Packing Kamala.

In his December column “That Little Girl Who Wasted Millions and Dropped Out Before a Primary Was Me,” Daniel Greenfield wrote:

After blowing through tens of millions of dollars, Kamala Harris dropped out before facing a single primary so as to preserve the illusion of her electability. A humiliating finish in Iowa or, worse New Hampshire, would have destroyed her potential in any future national election. And so Kamala Harris for the People shed its people, after wasting its campaign funds, to protect Kamala’s future ambitions.

The cowardly act of political calculation shows why she'll never be in the White House.

Presidents have to be willing to gamble everything. Kamala wasn’t Trump or Obama. She was Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton. Just as in her Willie Brown days, she wanted a sure thing and an easy ride.

And yesterday, Resume-Packing Kamala was once again handed an easy ride.

She is not a tested candidate.  How can she be when she didn’t have the courage to stick with the race long enough to give voters a chance to weigh in on her prospects?

If I had to guess, I’d say it was Obama and his team that foisted this resume-packing empty pantsuit onto Joe Biden.

Back in November, 2019, I gave you my theory of what was behind this unknown California Democrat’s inexplicable rise.

I wrote:

Remember back in 2013 when Barack Obama appeared at a fundraiser in San Francisco along with then CA Attorney General Kamala Harris? Sure you do. That was when Obama called her “the best looking Attorney General in the country.”

At that fundraiser, Barack couldn’t say enough about Kamala Harris. He sang her praises. And I think that was deliberate.

I think Obama-aligned political operatives, big-money donors and campaign people believed Kamala would be the perfect heir to the Obama Legacy.

But outside of California, nobody heard of her. They needed to give Kamala Harris a national platform from which to kick off her bid for the White House.

Then in January 2015 the stars aligned when Senator Barbara Boxer announced she would not seek reelection in 2016.

And Kamala got just the boost she needed to launch herself onto the national stage.

So Harris ran for Boxer’s seat. She raised a whopping fifteen million dollars — outraising her competitor (Democrat Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez) by eleven million bucks.

That shows you just how much the Obama infrastructure was supporting her.

But the goal was never to serve as the junior Senator from California. The Senate seat was incidental — merely a means to an end. The goal was the Presidency.

Obama and his people knew that Joe was their only hope during the primaries.  But Joe isn’t the one they want calling the shots in the White House.

I told you March that Joe is just the vessel – the means by which the Obama Democrats can slither back into the White House.

It’s Kamala they wanted.

But since Kamala had no chance of success when voters were the ones making the decisions, the resume-packing gal dropped out and waited for yet another easy ride.

If I had to guess, I’d say Kamala was slated to be Joe’s running mate since late March. I have no proof of that, but I feel pretty confident that’s the case.

But Kamala has a lot of problems.

She is still an untested national candidate who has a nasty habit of flip-flopping on every position she’s ever taken.

She was for prisoners voting until overnight polling showed it was wildly unpopular, then she came out against it.

She came out in favor of getting rid of private insurance until overnight polling showed it was wildly unpopular, then the next day she issued a “clarification.”

She used Biden’s opposition to Federal busing to goose her poll numbers and sell T-shirts, then a few days later admitted she was opposed to Federal busing too.

After spending her career relentlessly prosecuting black men – even to the point of burying exculpatory evidence to keep them in prison – Kamala now wants to “reimagine” policing.

And when Kamala doesn’t have poll-testing results at the ready, her stock reply to any challenging question is, “I think we need to have a conversation about that.”

She is a contrived politician who depends on poll-testing to determine what she stands for because she stands for absolutely nothing.

Just ask Willie Brown.

And of course, another reason Resume-Packing Kamala got tapped is her skin color.

So be prepared for Kamala’s trademark home-girl pandering to rear its ugly head.

Despite her culturally-rich (and financially rich) background, Kamala is going to pull out that faux black accent in order to make herself look like she’s down with the struggle.

But what else can she do?

Kamala brings nothing else to the Biden ticket.

Her presence won’t help win over the Rust Belt states.  She can’t help deliver white working class voters.  And she has no proven track record among national voters because she dropped out before a single primary vote was cast.

Her contribution to the Biden campaign is barely skin-deep.

And I think that will become painfully obvious over the next three months.
