New Evidence Found Lending Credibility to Tara Reade’s Claim of Sexual Assault by Joe Biden

Article by Nick Arama in "RedState":

It seems like media has been doing everything they can to ignore or downplay the sexual assault allegations made by Tara Reade against Joe Biden.

According to Reade, Biden allegedly assaulted her in a corner of the Russell Senate Office Building in 1993 when Reade, who was a Biden staffer at the time, was asked to bring him a gym bag. Reade says Biden pushed her against the wall, lifted her skirt and penetrated her with his fingers.

From The Intercept:

“There was no flirtation, he had no consent. He was by my ears when he said, ‘Do you wanna go somewhere else?’”

She pushed him off and he stepped back, looking surprised, she recalled, and flashing a huge smile.

“‘Come on, man,’” she said he told her. “‘I heard you liked me.’”

“He had that smile he gets, but his eyes were not smiling,” she said.

“You’re fine,” she recalled he said, grabbing her by her shoulders. As he walked away, he pointed back, “You’re fine.”

But now there’s more evidence to the story that may have made it just a little harder for mainstream media to downplay and it’s pretty astonishing. How to have support from the person you allegedly told even after she’s died.

The Intercept broke new information on the case. Previously, we had been told that Reade told a few people about the assault to a greater or lesser degree at the time it occurred in 1993. One of those people was her mother who has since died.

But Reade said her mother told her that she’d called CNN during a call in segment about whistleblowers and mentioned that her daughter had a problem with a senator. Intercept journalist Ryan Grim quoted Reade saying, “I remember it being an anonymous call and her saying my daughter was sexually harassed and retaliated against and fired, where can she go for help? I was mortified.”

Grim and The Intercept determined this occurred on the Wednesday, August 11, 1993 edition of Larry King’s CNN show.

The Intercept found the transcript of the call into CNN. Then MRC found the video and now Reade is confirming that the video is that of her mother calling into Larry King’s show.

LARRY KING: We’re back – a couple more phone calls on this very important topic. Our guests are former United States Senator Howard Baker; Richard Allen, former National Security Adviser; and Lois Romano of The Washington Post. San Luis Obispo, California, hello.

CALLER: Yes, hello. I’m wondering what a staffer would do besides go to the press in Washington? My daughter has just left there, after working for a prominent senator, and could not get through with her problems at all, and the only thing she could have done was go to the press, and she chose not to do it out of respect for him.

KING: In other words, she had a story to tell but, out of respect for the person she worked for, she didn’t tell it?

CALLER: : That’s true.

The call was from San Luis Obispo where her mom lived at the time.

Reade just confirmed to the Daily Caller that it was her mother on the call.

“I just heard audio, my mother died and hearing her voice made me cry. She was such a good mom and always watching out for me even now.”

While the mother didn’t mention the sexual assault in the call, she made it clear it was something worth going to the press about and appears to suggest that her daughter wasn’t being heard, which again tailors more with Reade’s story of complaining about harassment but having her complaints be dismissed.

Biden’s people had said there had never been a complaint about Biden, which given the multiple complaints about inappropriate touching seems highly unlikely.

Pretty astonishing evidence that the mother was told some bombshell-like news and props to all the folks who were able to dig it up.
