On this episode of the Federalist Radio Hour, author Christopher Caldwell joins Ben Domenech for a discussion on how today’s politics are a result of the liberal uprising in the 1960s, including the civil rights movement and the economic crises.
“The welfare programs that were passed in 1965 were actually a way of facilitating the new vision of society and vision of the Civil Rights Act of 1964,” Caldwell said. “The Great Society was what was supposed to provide the material basis for a new way for Americans to live together.”
