Zuckerberg Appoints Self As American
Editor-In-Chief To Engage In Censorship Typical Of Dictatorships
If you are still on Facebook, congratulations. You have succeeded in being overlooked by the Zuckerberg Facebook Censorship Bureau (ZFCB); however, that may change. It’s no secret that Google, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other so-called platforms engage in censorship of any content and/or individual that posts conservative/Christian/constitutionalist opinions and information. For those of us who have encountered the ZFCB and received suspensions or bans from the platform, it’s blatantly obvious that Zuckerberg lied to Congress and has somehow decided he is America’s de facto editor-in-chief.
Breitbart News reported:
In days long past, a news story would have to convince several people to reach print. Firstly, a reporter would have to be convinced to write it. The reporter would then have to convince his editor to run it. If successful, the story would appear online and in print. These days, however, there’s another person who must be convinced — Mark Zuckerberg.
The Facebook CEO reminded us of his burgeoning role as America’s de facto editor-in-chief during the controversy over alleged “whistleblower” Eric Ciaramella. Numerous conservative media outlets, including Breitbart News, were prevented from posting stories naming Ciaramella as the alleged whistleblower on Facebook.
The stories are still available on the websites of those news sites, of course. But in a world where 52 percent of Americans get their news directly from Facebook, that’s becoming less and less acceptable. Mark Zuckerberg is now an information gatekeeper to half the country, picking and choosing what news they read.
Meanwhile, his company still claims in court that they shouldn’t be subject to the laws that govern regular publishers, like defamation. The nerve!
This really should come as no surprise to anyone. Afterall, most constitutionalists know that Mark Zuckerberg talks out of both sides of his mouth, exhibiting never-ending hypocrisy; but, Zuckerberg is a plagiaristic, idea stealing, back-stabbing, money grubbing, selfish, soul-less, Godless, unfeeling, law-breaking, anti-constitutional, sniveling, spoiled brat of a boy who never grew up. Being that his adventures involve shafting business partners and censoring conservative, constitutional, Christian content on Facebook, one could say he is the “Peter Pan of Social Media” leading the “lost boys” in creating havoc against Captain Decency in the fantasy world of “Zucker-land”.
While the fringe anti-constitutionalists and “platform” CEOs like Zuckerberg accuse President Trump of consorting with Putin, Zuckerberg and his ilk engage in Russian and Chinese-like censorship when it comes to conservative/Christian/constitutional news stories. Moreover, this same forked -tongue hypocritical group to which Zuckerberg belongs is more interested in promoting an agenda than providing news stories on their social media platforms.
Forbes.com indicated:
Facebook, along with Twitter and Reddit, also stood out as the sites that had the highest proportion of respective users seeking news. Almost three-quarters (73%) of users of the social network use it as a way to get news, compared to 71% of Twitter and 62% of Reddit users the Pew study found.
All The News That’s Fit to Tweet
One of the factors driving this is that now almost all news organizations now rely on social media – if not to report the story then to promote those stories. For many readers, instead of clicking through to the actual reporting, the social media recap seems to be good enough.
Too often social media is also allowing an agenda to be promoted, rather than news to be reported.
“Every newspaper is owned by someone or a group of ‘someones’ that have their own political and otherwise agendas,” explained social media consultant Lon Safko, author of The Social Media Bible.
This should concern all Americans on both sides of the aisle. When some boy with an ego the size of Zuckerberg’s appoints himself as the “gatekeeper” of the news on a social media platform, it indicates that these private companies have decided to infringe upon the freedom of the press. Because public backlash would be so fierce should Congress or the government engage in free press infringement, it becomes easier to “overlook” the private corporations who are funneling the news these entities want the people to view or not. Zuckerberg cannot receive total blame here. People have the choice to research further and gather additional resources to be fully informed. Unfortunately, some Americans have become too lazy to do their own research choosing to remain willfully ignorant while others are just “stuck on stupid”. Ignorance can be corrected – there is no cure for stupidity.
What about the individuals who have engaged in entrepreneurial ventures through social media platforms that provide the bulk of income?
According to Breitbart News:
A dwindling number of sites can rely on traffic from outside of Facebook to stay afloat. For others, their very existence is governed by unaccountable Facebook executives in Silicon Valley. One algorithm change is all that’s required for years of work to go up in smoke.
Needless to say, there’s no due process. If a landlord wants to evict you from a parking lot, they have to go through the legal system to do so. If Facebook wants to terminate a page that your livelihood and those of your employees depend on, they don’t even have to send you an email.
They can just do it.
Republicans had a chance to fix this sorry state of affairs when they controlled both houses of Congress in the first two years of the Trump administration. They didn’t.
And here is the result of their dithering: Mark Zuckerberg gets to censor a key detail of a major national news story, the name of alleged “whistleblower” Eric Ciaramella.
This also proves that Republicans are not interested in preserving the God-given individual unalienable rights of citizens in conjunction with the Democrats. Indirectly, both parties are working with Zuckerberg to infringe upon the freedom of the press by allowing Zuckerberg the “privilege” of declaring Facebook as a platform while he operates the site as a publication. It’s the same with the other social media platforms. These entities get to “have their cake and eat it too”.
Now, to clarify, there is nothing wrong with the free enterprise system and private corporations having rules and policies on what can and cannot be posted on social media platforms, such as death threats against an individual or group of individuals; incitement of others to violence; engaging in libel or defamation. However, when the entity engages in inequity of applying those rules and policies and straddles the fence on platform vs. publication to circumvent responsibility for crimes and advocating for commission of crimes, the entity should be held accountable. Moreover, when one individual can impact your livelihood and that of your employees through indiscriminate termination of your social media pages for no other reason than “because”, that individual has attained the powers of a dictator and oppressor. Good luck trying to fight it because there is no due process for appeal and no prior notification of the entity’s action.
Bottomline – while social media sites started out as a means of networking with like-minded individuals, engaging in unique “dotcom” businesses, and receiving news through multiple venues, these sites have devolved into socialist/communist/Marxist censorship platforms/publications engaging in censorship and promotion of their own agenda at the expense of its users. If you haven’t already moved to another platform, it’s not too late to get off the hamster wheel.
