Trump Warns Against Communism

President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning against communist tendencies in his country. A look at the European Union and Germany provides an explanation: figures like Zohran Mamdani can be found everywhere around us.

Two powerful tendencies are currently challenging Western culture. First, Islam is moving into the spiritual vacuum left behind by a toothless and, in many respects, spiritually hollow Christianity. It turns out that a church which has degenerated into a moralizing green NGO can no longer offer people comfort and support in the face of the existential questions of human existence.

Second -- and this tendency has become almost a paradigm within the European Union -- we are witnessing the openly pursued construction of a powerful state economy.

In numerous Western countries, government spending ratios have now reached the worrying threshold of 50 percent. Within this development crystallizes what can rightly be described as faith in the state: the desire to place responsibility for one’s own existence, from cradle to grave, into the hands of government.

The state is not merely acting as regulator, caretaker, and commander, intervening ever more deeply in economic processes and in people’s daily lives. Its desire for control, extending to the construction of a genuine nanny state that only formally still qualifies as a welfare state, consumes enormous sums of money and drives taxes and levies ever higher.

It appears that parts of the West have ignored Hayek’s warning and set out once again to explore the road to serfdom. This road is paved with small incentives and benefits designed to prevent people from recognizing their growing dependence and abandoning the path they have embarked upon.

At the end of this road stands communism -- or whatever term we may use to describe the loss of individual freedom. For President Donald Trump, this danger is real.

Trump is already in campaign mode and has made the threat of communism a central theme. In November, the important midterm elections will take place. All seats in the House of Representatives and around one-third of the Senate seats will be contested.

But Donald Trump is not using the election campaign merely for traditional political issues. In a speech marking the 250th anniversary of American independence, Trump warned of a “return of the communist threat” in the United States. According to Trump, this was not about the usual political disagreements. It was about a very real danger threatening American freedom.

“The communist system is the opposite of the American system, and the communist system has never worked.”

Trump’s criticism of communism resonates with many of his supporters. The growing influence of the socialist wing within the Democratic Party evokes unpleasant memories of the Cold War, although so far this has remained largely a rhetorical issue.

Yet a strong American Constitution still protects citizens from an overreaching state. Above all, the Bill of Rights forms an immovable protective barrier that has so far successfully prevented the civilizational rupture that communism represents.

But the danger is real. The most recent example was the election of the Islamic communist Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York City. A communist as mayor of the capital of global finance? Either it is the irony of history -- or the Big Apple, which normally demonstrates remarkable resilience against political fanaticism, will ultimately give the ambitious communist and his visible revolutionary ambitions the middle finger.

How should Trump’s warning be interpreted? Mere campaign rhetoric? The familiar bombast of a man who provides his party with political reassurance and ideological self-therapy? Or is there something to the suspicion that what is cynically referred to by critics in the United States as the “EU-USSR” has spread since the presidency of Barack Obama?

A new obedience toward authority, a growing claim by a state apparatus that assumes powers and competencies that the Constitution of liberty does not grant.

In Europe, however, the political space for socialist vandalism appears to be clearly available. We are experiencing an intermediate step from the social market economy toward the construction of a state economy that will inevitably end in a socialist system unless it collapses beforehand under its own internal contradictions, the loss of individual freedom, and economic devastation.

The scale of this devastation caused by the construction of a green and now military state economy is demonstrated by a calculation from German economist Lars Feld. Subsidies in Germany have now accumulated to an annual mountain of 321 billion euros, serving as evidence of a failed transformation agenda -- a system that requires ever more credit every year to keep the failed green subsidy economy alive. A staggering seven percent of total economic output is being pumped by politicians through rapidly emptying channels toward their favored recipients -- 75 percent of this consists of direct transfer payments across various levels of government and subsidy programs.

Seven percent -- the figure may initially appear manageable, but it conceals the underlying truth: millions of jobs and around 400,000 companies are directly dependent on the state. The government is buying support for its transformation policies through a flow of taxpayer money that increasingly drains the substance of the middle class.

In Germany’s subsidy system, the rise of the state economy is taking on a visible form. A culture of subsidy hunting and a complacent free-rider mentality characterize this transition. The principles of performance, property rights, and decentralized coordination through free markets are being pushed into the background. The social and cultural damage caused by this policy can be demonstrated economically and is reflected in rising unemployment, high public debt, and a fading record of economic success.

Trump’s warning about communism is justified. If we broaden the term and speak instead of etatism and collectivism, his argument hits the nail on the head. The road to serfdom leads through a sugar-coated path hidden in the fog. And it is this fog that conceals the inefficiencies of the state economy, visible in the growing impoverishment of the lower middle class.

Censorship and the suppression of opinion, such as the emerging system of chat control, are pushing free debate, criticism, and the desire for liberty into the grey zones of the digital world. There, opposition grows in the many colors of freedom -- a final hope of dissolving the fog rhetorically and restoring a clear view of the true ambitions of politics.

Half a Nation of Traitors

Democrats hate this country. They hate you if you don’t also hate this country. And they will do anything to avoid you continuing to live free in this country, up to and including murdering you, because that’s who they are. If Russia or China offered to help them seize power, they’d take the deal no matter what they asked for in return. After 250 years, one of our political parties has become infested with traitors the way an old dead tree becomes infested with termites.

There is only one Democrat in the country speaking with any sense of sanity; one person who does not openly appeal to racism, anti-Semitism, anti-Americanism, and all the other divisive tropes “progressives” marinate themselves in to gain control over feeble-minded voters and that’s the guy who had a massive stroke a few years ago.

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman is a man of the left – on 99 percent of policy issues, Sen. Fetterman is on the wrong side. But he doesn’t want to destroy Israel; he doesn’t want to “burn down” the United States; he recognizes there are people who disagree with him on other issues and does not seek to force himself and his will on everyone else. He has a “live and let live” attitude, and works to change minds in the future.

For this, there is a better than average chance that some leftist somewhere murders him, or at least tries to, before the end of his first term.

I don’t say that in any hopeful way; I say it because it’s exactly how the people the Democrat Party is embracing operate. Their 99.9 percent friend is their 100 percent enemy. You are either all in, or all out.

That’s why there is so little dissent on the left. Do you really think they all had a mental breakdown about 15 years ago and collectively forgot what a woman was? Biological and gender realities were simply wiped from their minds, and all of human history disappeared, leaving them standing at a urinal next to a “woman” built like a linebacker thinking, “She has a pretty large penis”?

No, they’re afraid of being killed. They’re also afraid of losing reelection, but they’re mostly afraid of being killed.

They aren’t suffering from a collective delusion; they’re engaging in collective risk management for power and financial gain.

How do I know this? Is there a single male Democrat with a history of whoring around who has ever been linked to a “trans woman”? If “trans women are women,” and it’s totally straight for a man to date one, why hasn’t it happened to the people in public life who insist the loudest that this is reality? There wasn’t anything Hunter Biden wouldn’t have had sex with while high on crack, but he knew what a woman was and only patronized real women prostitutes. He didn’t get lucky; even in full-blown junkie mode, he could tell the difference between an “innie” and an “outie.”

This week, a majority of Democrats in the House voted to cut off all military aid, offensive and defensive, to Israel because their fringe demands someone finish the work their progressive forefather Adolf Hitler started. If you told yourself 20 years ago this is where Democrats would be, you’d have yourself committed, especially since most of the “aid” involves that money going to US companies for weapons – ensuring American jobs – and never actually leaves the country.

Democrats don’t care. The only part of their party with any energy – the radical communist wing – hates Israel, so it has to go. They hate America, so capitalism has to go. They hate you, so…

It’s only a matter of time before, should they gain power, the old ways of them doing business return.

In New York, we’re seeing the push to seize private property, we’re hearing echoes of Nuremberg in campaign speeches from Democrats, and we’re seeing existing Democrats capitulate to the demands of the radicals – pretending to agree with them in the hope that they won’t be challenged next.

The people who worked with the Nazis were wiped out, just as the people who worked with the communists were wiped out, the moment they were no longer needed. Theoretically, being killed last is preferable to being first, but it’s better not to be killed at all.

To do anything of this, and to do anything they advocate, our system of government, our founding documents and our very rights MUST BE WIPED OUT. There is no other way, as the “isms” – fascism, socialism and communism – are not compatible with individual liberty and a constitutionally limited republic.

The only way forward for these leftists is to betray our national principles, to become traitors against the foundation of the United States. They already are, in spirit, but now they’re moving into places where they can enact their fascistic fever dreams legislatively. They’re doing this in districts so gerrymandered that the only real election happens in the primary.

Gerrymandering exists because some people didn’t want to risk having to earn votes to obtain power. Still, it’s led to the absolutely insane winning because there’s little difference between crazy turned up to five and crazy turned up to 10; once you accept crazy, the degree of that crazy barely matters. Now Democrats are fighting down their own trench and trying appeasement over dominance, and they’re being dominated for their troubles.

Their party is being taken over by people who read the room and saw a vulnerability and exploited it. Traitors are rapidly annexing half the political world. Maybe Democrats will wise up before it’s too late and work with Republicans (behind the scenes, because they’d get killed otherwise) to redraw districts that disfavor the antisocial fringe and relegate the violent goons back to the outside, but that is unlikely.

As long as the driving force in the Democratic establishment is Trump Derangement Syndrome, party leadership will continue to play chicken with whether or not they can hold on to power past 2028.

It’s an evil game, to invite in murderous revolutionaries in the hope of controlling them, and it’s not really worked out anywhere else before. Democrats would be wise to stop embracing traitors, but they’ve become traitors themselves in a scramble for relevancy. It’s up to the American people to make sure that party, and not the country, pays the price for that. We’ll find out in November which way the scales are tipping.

TWA-800 Thirty-Year Anniversary with New Evidence

Judicial Watch presents an investigative review of TWA flight 800 thirty years later.  Many of us likely remember the horrific news of the 747 explosion, crash and subsequent investigation that never made sense.

Within the new documentary, Judicial Watch emphasizes the focus of the ¹FBI in taking control of the investigation which never made sense.  Jack Cashill is one of the experts who gives testimony within the documentary.  The 45-minute video is very well worth watching.

¹Knowing what we know now about the activity of the FBI, the investigation and cover-up look even worse.

State Dept to Americans Abroad: Exercise Extreme Caution Due to 'Heightened Tensions in Middle East'

RedState

Things in the Middle East are growing very spicy indeed, with two American service members killed in the line of duty and President Trump ordering, shall we say, a vigorous reply to be visited upon Iran. Things are liable to get worse before they get better, and now the Trump administration is taking steps to keep Americans in the rest of the world safe.

On Saturday, the State Department issued a travel warning to Americans traveling abroad.

The post reads:

Worldwide Caution: Due to heightened tensions in the Middle East, the security environment remains complex with the potential for unforeseen escalation. We remind Americans in the region of the continued need for caution and encourage them to monitor the news for breaking developments.  The Department of State advises Americans worldwide, and especially in the Middle East, to exercise increased caution. Americans abroad should follow the guidance in security alerts issued by the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. Flight cancellations and periodic airspace closures may cause travel disruptions. U.S. diplomatic facilities, including outside the Middle East, have been targeted. Groups supportive of Iran may target other U.S. interests overseas or locations associated with the United States and/or Americans throughout the world. Please read carefully our Travel Advisory, country information, and any recent security alerts when planning travel at http://travel.state.gov/destination.

You can read the entire warning here. The State Department also has detailed tips on improving your personal security here

We really do live in interesting times, in the sense of that supposed old Chinese curse. It's maybe not the best time for that vacation in Dubai.

In fact, Americans shouldn't just exercise increased caution when abroad. It's a good idea here in these United States, as well. It's a near-certainty that Iranian nationals infiltrated into the United States during Joe Biden's four years of non-border enforcement. Some of them may likely be under the control of the Iranian civil government or, worse, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Keep your head on a swivel. Always be aware of your surroundings at all times, whether you are at a high school hockey game, the grocery store, or in your bank. If you're experienced with a sidearm, and you can do so in your jurisdiction, carry one, all the time. Always stay at least in Condition Yellow. Always be alert. If you are in another country, always know where the nearest American consulate or embassy is.

Awareness is the first step in survival. Always keep your eyes open. And this year may not be the ideal year for an American to be traveling abroad. There's a war on, after all.

UN Ambassador Bursts Mamdani's Bubble Over His Wish to Arrest Israeli PM Netanyahu in NYC

RedState

When will the members of the far-Left cabal learn?

New York City, as the home of the United Nations headquarters, is hosting the U.N. General Assembly in the fall. And Democratic Socialist NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani expressed during a recent interview with a New York Times interviewer that he's holding onto a deeply-held wish and campaign promise: to have Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested when the world leader arrives in his city to attend it.

“I believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu belongs in the Hague,” Mr. Mamdani told Lulu Garcia-Navarro this week on “The Interview,” a New York Times show, referring to the home of the United Nations’ International Court of Justice.

“He’s a war criminal who has been charged by the International Criminal Court,” Mr. Mamdani added. “And what you will find is that is an opinion that is held by many, purely because of what his actions have wrought over these last many years.”

Mamdani wasn't finished, though, admitting that he's not 100 percent sure "whether he has the legal authority" to do it, and to that end, he's still consulting with his administration's Law Department.

Netanyahu, meanwhile, told a WABC radio host that Mamdani's words make it clear to everyone whose side he's on - that of terrorists like Hamas:

As my colleague Ward Clark wrote, this guy is in way over his head here:

The United States isn't beholden to the International Criminal Court (ICC). The ICC has no jurisdiction in U.S. territory, and Mayor Mamdani has no legal grounds to order the Israeli PM's arrest. But that doesn't stop him from yapping about it.

Well, we do still have the First Amendment, so I say let him talk. Someone else with thoughts on Mamdani's empty threat was U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz, who only needed four bullet points to dispense with the mayor's obvious "political theater":

Mayor Mamdani: here’s why your threat to arrest PM Netanyahu’s in NYC during UNGA is not going to happen:

1. The U.S. is not party to the Rome Statute that underlies the ICC,

2. The UN Headquarters Agreement grants diplomatic protections to visiting heads of gov’t,

3. head-of-state immunity applies, &

4. federal authority trumps any local mayor’s wishes.

This is pure political theater.

Exactly right. Another thing I would have brought up is the fact that the Trump administration stood up to the UN legal body as recently as this week, and previously punished many of these rogue ICC judges for charging members of our military, as well.

Wasn't it just a week ago when Mayor Mamdani's office got caught trying to meet with the Iranian ambassador? Who does that, and thinks it's in a city mayor's job description? Whether it's free public transit, government-run grocery stores, or arresting world leaders on behalf of an illegitimate world court, someone needs to put Mamdani in his place. It's been clear for a while now that he truly does not understand what the job is that he was hired to do.

Arctic Showdown: US Coast Guard vs. Chinese 'Research' Ships

RedState

There's an old Cold War game called a freedom of navigation exercise, in which one party steams or flies within sight of another party's coast, within eyesight but outside of territorial waters, perhaps within the Economic Exclusion Zone (EEZ) of the other party, which is legal but provocative. This has traditionally been done with military aircraft and warships, but sometimes "commercial" vessels are roped into such duty. These exercises can be a good opportunity for intelligence-gathering, too; back in the Cold War, U.S. Navy task groups at sea were often shadowed by Soviet "fishing trawlers" that were oddly festooned with antennae.

China, in a new version of this old game, is using what it is calling "research vessels" to probe around the approaches to the Arctic, including passing into the Alaska EEZ and poking around in the Barents Sea. The United States Coast Guard has been keeping an eye on them.

The U.S. Coast Guard is actively engaged in Arctic defense, monitoring and dealing with potential national security threats posed by Chinese ships. Last summer, the Coast Guard chased away Chinese vessels.

This week, a USCG Arctic cutter crew monitored two Chinese research ships that entered U.S. waters. The Chinese-flagged Xue Long transited north through the U.S. exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and over the U.S. extended continental shelf in the Bering Sea with a declared destination of the Arctic. The Xue Long 2, another China-flagged vessel, also transited to the Arctic, the USCG announced late Friday.

“For the first time this year, Chinese vessels were tracked transiting through the U.S. EEZ and over the U.S. extended continental shelf (continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles of shore) in the Bering Sea,” the USCG said. In response, the USCG Cutter Munro (WMSL 755) executed Operation Frontier Sentinel to actively monitor the vessels as they transited north. The cutter’s operation was “designed to protect American sovereign rights, ensure consistency with international law, and position the Coast Guard to rapidly respond to any detected malign activity,” the USCG said.

China isn't breaking any of the rules of the sea here. It's perfectly legal for Chinese ships to transit our EEZ and the outer continental shelf. It's also perfectly legal for our Coast Guard to shadow them, just to make sure they suffer no unfortunate mishaps in an area that is, at present, undergoing some significant development in natural resources.

And China, as we learned again in President Trump's recent speech, isn't a friendly nation. They bear watching, and it's a fair bet that these "research" vessels are watching us.

Interesting, isn't it, how the old Cold War games that the United States was playing with the Soviet Union in the Cold War are now being played again with China. You can always tell who the two biggest kids on the block are, and the thing about those two biggest kids is that they will always try to test each other. And, the Arctic is a region of rapidly increasing strategic importance.

The United States has a big advantage here in holding Alaska, the crown of the Pacific. But China seems determined to test us, here and elsewhere.

Plus Γ§a change, plus c'est la mΓͺme chose.

Sunday Scripture

Reflection on Today's Verse

Faithfulness is often quiet. It is seen in the daily choices we make, the responsibilities we carry, and the way we continue serving even when no one notices. God does not measure us by applause, popularity, or impressive results. He looks for a heart that remains dependable with what He has entrusted to us.

Remember that our time, abilities, opportunities, and knowledge are gifts from God. We are stewards, not owners. Our calling is not to be perfect, but to be faithful, trusting His grace, doing what is right, and continuing with integrity even in small things.

Every believer has been entrusted with something—time, abilities, opportunities, truth, and responsibilities. God does not require us to impress others or achieve worldly recognition. He calls us to be faithful with what He has placed in our care.

President Trump Orders CENTCOM to 'Rain Hell' on IRGC After US Service Members Killed

RedState

Iran is finding out that the United States under President Trump doesn't mess around when U.S. servicemembers are killed by its reckless missile strikes.

As RedState wrote earlier on Saturday:

The U.S. Central Command, which oversees American military operations in the Middle East, has now revealed that two United States service members were killed and one remains missing following a missile and drone attack by Iran. The attack was targeted at the U.S. forces in Jordan.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth reacted to the attack in an X post in an update, writing:

Godspeed, heroes.

Their sacrifice only stiffens our resolve.

Iran's attack followed the regime releasing a statement that it will no longer follow any of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) terms that were agreed to during talks with the U.S.

CENTCOM just shared a new update on the commander in chief's response to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC) deadly attack:

Today at 6 p.m. ET, U.S. forces began launching new airstrikes against Iran at the Commander in Chief’s direction. The strikes are designed to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and swiftly punish Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces who launched attacks against American service members in Jordan last night.

It's also being reported that Pres. Trump told commanders to "rain hell" on Iran, with the strikes becoming "more expansive":

It appears that's what's happening now. Continue to pray for our service members, their families, and everyone working at this hour to keep us safe.

Canadian Prime Minister Blames U.S. Climate and Energy Policy for Canada Wildfires

President Trump pointed out Canada’s forestry mismanagement and their failure to follow through with previous promises of investment that have led to catastrophic wildfires now producing smoke streams making U.S. Northern cities and states live under dangerous conditions.

Prime Minister Mark Carney was asked about the U.S. government position, and he immediately hit back by saying the cause of Canada’s wildfires is ‘climate change’ and President Trump’s unwillingness to support the Paris Climate Treaty has created the problem that Canada is now dealing with.

In short, according to the official policy of the Canadian government, their wildfires are caused by Trump’s refusal to accept global “climate change” policies.  WATCH:

It should be noted that Canada clutches its pearls, claiming the USA should send “support” to assist Canada fighting wildfires instead of blaming them for mismanagement.  However, reciprocity is a big problem.

Most of the firefighting takes place as an outcome of private-public contracts for costs.  {SOURCE} The Canadian government blocks U.S. companies from fighting fires in Canada because the Canadian government wants to only pay Canadian companies and workers.  U.S. firefighting is not allowed to assist in Canada and get reimbursed.

Conversely, the Canadians quickly want to come to the U.S. to fight fires because the USA reimburses firefighting companies at a higher rate than Canada.  [SOURCE] The USA has no federal restrictions on Canadian firefighting assistance.

Canadian firefighting professionals would rather fight forest fires in the USA because they make more money.  There is no incentive for U.S. firefighting professionals to volunteer their time and effort without getting reimbursed; which is the position of Canada.

In essence, come to Canada and fight our fires for free because we will only pay Canadians.  However, also, let our Canadian firefighters come to the USA and make money.  {SOURCE} It is a very Canadian argument.

TRUTH SOCIAL – We are holding Canada responsible for the fact that they are not properly maintaining their Forests, and Brush therein, and the United States is being unnecessarily invaded by filthy, polluted, and unhealthy air, the quality of which is dangerous, and totally unacceptable! I will call the Prime Minister during the day to find out what they are going to do about it. The cost is incalculable! Canada has refused to engage in basic Forest Management and Debris Removal, knowing that such refusal will lead to exactly this result. This is Willful Negligence, and becoming a yearly occurrence, costing the United States Billions of Dollars, which cost of this pollution must of necessity be added to the TARIFFS Canada is currently paying. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Last point(s).  First, Canadians have no idea about how the reimbursement rates work and how their government refuses to set reciprocal standards for firefighting payments and subsidies.  Canadians make emotional arguments because they genuinely do not understand the process and government system.  The government likes them to remain uninformed.

Second, Prime Minister Mark Carney makes his “climate change” blame argument in French because he doesn’t want to be put on blast by an American alternative media system who have caught on to his duplicity and will make his insanely insufferable arguments go viral.  Canadians cannot argue on substance because they are intentionally misinformed by their govt.  Carney continues to manipulate communication tools (in this example language) as part of the long-standing Canadian propaganda system.
