CONRAD BLACK - The Iran Conflict Is Currently Neither War nor Peace, but One Side Holds All the Cards

Republicans Might Deserve to Lose If They Don’t Do Something About Rogue Judges

Another day, another leftist activist in black robe decides they don’t care for what the President of the United States has done. I understand that Presidents overreach and need to be held in check by the judiciary. I have no problem with this concept, but these Democrats with lifetime jobs have taken it to a new level and deserve whatever bad comes their way, up to and including being impeached and removed from the bench. If, however, Republicans don’t make a move on at least one or two of these rogue hacks, maybe they deserve to lose the election this fall. After all, what’s the point of having a majority if you aren’t willing to act like you’re the majority?

Last week, a judge in Rhode Island “blocked a series of Trump administration measures that have prevented federal officials from granting asylum, green cards and other legal immigration benefits to many immigrants in the U.S.”

The judge, John McConnell, claimed the administration’s actions were “anti-immigrant,” to which I ask how did this judge discover his power to read people’s minds? He wrote, “In enacting its latest immigration policies, USCIS: claims statutory and regulatory authority that it does not possess; makes decisions without the reasoned explanations that it must provide; acts without regard for the reliance interests of applicants that it must consider; and justifies its actions with pretextual concerns of 'national security' that mask anti-immigrant sentiments that it is forbidden from letting influence its decision-making.”

John McConnell needs to be impeached over that last sentence, “justifies its actions with pretextual concerns of 'national security' that mask anti-immigrant sentiments that it is forbidden from letting influence its decision-making.”

This judge, and no judge, has any idea what is or is not relevant to national security, as they have no access to anything close to the intelligence a President of the United States does. That means he can’t possibly know the motive, nor do his thoughts on the issue matter.

The motives of a President do not matter, all that matters is are his actions Constitutional. As the President is the head of the Executive Branch, and it is up the that branch to implement and enforce immigration laws in the best interest of the United States. It is the exclusive domain of the President, not Congress or judges. Congress can ask questions, but they can only change the law, not how it is enforced. Judges can only determine if a law in Constitutional, not opine on how it should be enforced differently.

If Republicans, with control of the House, don’t impeach a couple of these hacks it is worth asking what the point of being in the majority is.

I understand that passing legislation is more difficult for Republicans than it is for Democrats – Republicans are individuals and think for themselves, Democrats are drones who do whatever they’re told (that’s why they can blow off the abuses of women by Graham Platner while still wearing a “Me Too!” lapel pin without throwing themselves off a bridge.

Impeaching an egregiously activist judge should be something all Republicans can agree on, though a few might not be on board simply because they’re angry, even if it agrees completely with what they claim their principles are – looking at you, Thomas Massie.

Yes, the Senate will never vote to remove any of these judges, as those Democrat drones will simply not be interested in anything Republicans are for, but it will embarrass those judges and draw attention to the problem of activist judges.

And you can expect many Republicans to complain about the “waste of time” a trial would be, but honestly, what else are they doing in the Senate? Nothing. Wasting time with a purpose would be better than simply wasting time aimlessly, don’t you think.

If Republicans refuse to do the things they can with the slim majority they have, there isn’t really a point to having a majority of any size at all. It’s hard to say what you’ll do if you win the midterms if you aren’t doing anything when you HAVE control now.

Republicans have always been their own worst enemy, but if they could learn to stand up for the principles they campaign on and pretend to hold dear, they might not get their asses handed to them in November…and they might just not deserve to.

Todd Blanche At DOJ Should Mean Accountability For The Media’s Russia Hoax And So Much More

Something that the dying news media like to do is frame President Trump’s concerns with the Justice Department as though they’re animated solely by personal vendetta, rather than legitimate matters of law and order that affect everyone. Look at how they’re reacting to the president nominating Todd Blanche to serve as attorney general.

The New York Times said Trump was “elevating a trusted loyalist who has proved willing to execute the president’s demands.” The Washington Post, citing unnamed “critics,” said Blanche has “abandoned standard Justice Department norms and continues to operate as if he were working as Trump’s personal lawyer.” CNN, having apparently hunted down those very same unnamed critics, said Blanche, as the current acting attorney general, “has effectuated the president’s personal and political agenda to use the Justice Department as his own attack mechanism.”

This is another way of saying Blanche is likely to pursue objectives at odds with what the dying media would prefer. Namely, accountability for past wrongs that deserve to be righted. And with many of those wrongs, the media were complicit, most notably the Russia collusion hoax that they perpetuated along with the very same Justice Department that Blanche is set to oversee. Of course they’ll want to undermine his role by characterizing him not as an upholder of the law but rather as a servant of the president’s petty whims.

The dying media pretend that Trump takes an interest in the DOJ because he intends to settle personal scores and so that’s why he has nominated his former personal attorney for the job. But that’s not even close.

True, the president all but certainly does want justice for himself on a personal level. But also, he’s the president and, by definition, he represents the country. That’s all of us. It’s a matter of historical record that this president and his political allies, plus many of his voters, were aggressively and unfairly targeted by the Justice Department.

The DOJ set Trump up when President Obama was in office, having illegally spied on his campaign and leaked its investigations to the media with the intent of hurting Trump politically. He and others were also harassed all throughout the Biden years for, among other things, exercising their First Amendment right to question the 2020 election.

Accounting for those injustices would understandably upset the dying media, given that they assisted in perpetuating them. And to uncover just how far those efforts went would undoubtedly demonstrate yet more corruption on behalf of The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, and the rest.

They don’t want that. That’s why they will oppose Todd Blanche.

Pro-China Rich Guy Neville Roy Singham Draws Growing Scrutiny Over Far-Left Activism

Spending American-made money from Shanghai as a far-left activist, Singham supports a wide range of narrative-influencing operations.

On June 4, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced new economic sanctions on several Cuban organizations and officials, specifically citing the threat of communist “influence operations” on American national security. Among other effects, the sanctions prohibit “U.S. persons” from “the making of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services by, to, or for the benefit of any blocked person and the receipt of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services from any such person.”

On Fox News, journalist Peter Schweizer quickly connected those sanctions to a name that wasn’t mentioned in the State Department’s sanction order:

Neville Roy Singham is sort of an international man of mystery, not typically granting interviews or maintaining a high public profile (with a very few exceptions), but he’s also a recognizable social type whose background and political views aren’t a surprise. Like the gentry socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Singham is the son of a foreign-born leftist academic, a political scientist who was a critic of colonialism. Archibald Singham was born in Burma to Sri Lankan parents, then emigrated to the United States to attend and then teach at American universities, spending his adult life expressing distaste for America. You can watch video of Archibald being a predictable and pompous far-left dullard here, if you feel the need.

Archibald’s son Neville was born in Connecticut and attended college at the top-ranked HBCU Howard University, where Archibald taught for a while. As a young software engineer, Neville Singham founded the software design and technology consulting company Thoughtworks, which now makes a point of saying that their radical founder has had no involvement in the company since he sold it in 2017.

The sale of the company is an important inflection point to notice in Signham’s life. While the terms of the deal were initially not disclosed, reporters from the New York Times would later write that they had seen the private deal sheet and could name the sale price: $785 million. Singham is often described as a billionaire – as the Government Accountability Institute does in the post embedded above – but Forbes doesn’t list him as one, and the sale of Thoughtworks appears to be the only significant source of his personal wealth.

Also in 2017, Singham married Code Pink co-founder Jodie Evans, whose Facebook page celebrates her marriage to “this adorable comrade.” Note the social fact of people with at least a nine-figure net worth who call each other “comrade,” the phenomenon that Tom Wolfe called “radical chic.”

In one of the only pieces published under his own byline, Singham does the same, using “comrade” as a term of affection: Discussing his membership in the League Of Revolutionary Black Workers, he mentioned “the fantastic work of comrade Carolyn Baker.” (Regarding the byline, Singham goes by his middle name.)

Singham’s wedding in Jamaica was attended by both a co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and the author of the Vagina Monologues, conforming precisely to the cultural format of gentry radicalism. As the New York Times reported, the wedding ceremony was preceded by a panel discussion with Marxist intellectuals.

One other thing appears to have happened in 2017, though Singham has never publicly discussed the exact timing or circumstances: He relocated to China, establishing a home and an office in what’s usually reported to be Shanghai. A red-diaper baby turned ex-CEO with a new fortune and a radical wife, Singham apparently turned to full-time activism from his new home in the People’s Republic of China.

Spending American-made money from Shanghai as a far-left activist, Singham supports a wide range of narrative-influencing operations. As a philanthropist, he seems to be mostly a storyteller, believed to fund (for example) the Peoples Dispatch website. Covering global news, that site tells stories about American imperial depravity, the cruelty of global capitalism, and the brave international left that rises to confront them both. Sample of a recent headline: “South Africa’s Conference of the Left issues a bold call for working-class unity.”

You can call Singham a bridge that connects us across our partisan divide, because he increasingly provokes a nervous reaction on the at-least-somewhat-sane American left and right. A long investigative story from the New York Times in 2023 ran under this headline: “A Global Web of Chinese Propaganda Leads to a U.S. Tech Mogul.” That story warned that Singham funded “a financial network that stretches from Chicago to Shanghai and uses American nonprofits to push Chinese talking points worldwide.”

Similar reporting from Fox News warns that organizations funded by Singham “may be sowing discord in the U.S. by promoting communist propaganda and anti-American rhetoric.”

Similar reporting has appeared in India.

Reviewing the public records of American organizations funded by Singham, the Times described them as “UPS store nonprofits” that listed shipping company storefronts as their business addresses. You can easily take a tour through those nonprofits yourself, looking at their funding and purpose through the window provided by their publicly available financial reporting.

The Justice and Education Fund last reported that they received contributions totaling $5,574,289 in 2024, describing their work like this:

TO RAISE AWARENESS THROUGH EDUCATION AND DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION ABOUT PRESSING PROBLEMS OF SOCIETY AND HOW TO EFFECT SOCIAL CHANGE. THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO EDUCATE AND INFORM THE PUBLIC ABOUT ISSUES AFFECTING SOCIETIES WORLDWIDE AND THEIR IMPACT ON POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC SYSTEMS.

Political storytelling, the thing Rubio describes as “influence operations.” Strangely enough, one of their other reported activities is “INSTRUCTION IN MAKING SOAP.”

The People’s Forum, Inc. last reported having received contributions totaling $5,789,498 in 2024, with Jodene Evans – better known as Jodie, Singham’s wife – listed as the “principal officer.” Mercifully skipping the use of all-caps, that organization describes itself like this:

People’s Forum, Inc. hosts accessible educational programming that contributes to building and strengthening popular movements in New York City and beyond as well as a revitalized non-sectarian left intellectual culture rooted in the struggles of the poor and dispossessed. Their education programming includes topics such as: history, political economy, social theory, racial/gender/LGBTQIA/immigrant justice, collective strategies for organizing, liberation theology, and many others – with an internationalist focus.

Again, political storytelling: left-intellectual education about the dispossessed.

Both organizations list Manolo De Los Santos as a senior staff member. As an example of the people allegedly funded by Singham, you can read about De Los Santos in the New York Post: professional radical, frequent visitor to Cuba, career protest organizer, big fan of Hamas.

The provable picture about Singham is that a man who grew up with radical parents made a bunch of money and then began funding organizations that represent his sincere and long-held political views. But the frequent media framing about Singham’s alleged role in “Chinese propaganda” could become a legal problem for him if it turns out to be true. Federal prosecutors routinely bring charges against people who engage in fairly simple foreign-influenced media work without registering as foreign agents, and a search of the Justice Department’s FARA database suggests that Singham hasn’t registered as an agent of the Chinese government.

Cases brought under the Foreign Agents Registration Act for publication and advocacy work are frequently criticized on First Amendment grounds, and the available evidence suggests that Singham funds the expression of opinions with his own money. A growing number of critics depict his philanthropic efforts in darker terms. The potential outcome of that intensifying scrutiny remains unclear.

Is This How Democrats Will Solve Their Graham Platner Problem?

RedState

The Democrat Party could really use some racial unrest right about now, and they're likely to get it courtesy of the Karmelo Anthony trial currently taking place in McKinney, Texas.

Anthony, 19, is on trial for the murder of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a high school track meet in April of 2025. The prosecution alleges that Anthony, who is black, stabbed Metcalf, who was white, after Metcalf asked Anthony to leave his team's tent. Cameras are not allowed in the courtroom, but several reporters present have been relaying the arguments and the testimony on social media, and it doesn't sound like it's going well for the defense.

As RedState previously reported, it was never a question of if Anthony was responsible for the stabbing – he admitted it to law enforcement shortly after the incident. The jury will need to decide why he did it, and it sounds like even the defense witnesses aren't able to answer that question. Self-defense is the claim of Anthony's supporters, but that idea seems to be going down in flames as the trial looks to be nearing its end.

From the above post from reporter J.D. Miles of the local CBS affiliate, it appears that a defense witness on the stand Monday admitted he didn't want to testify because much of what he told police after the stabbing was "guessing" and that he didn't really "remember" the incident. Court watchers think the case could go to the jury soon, possibly as early as Monday afternoon (although, if things are going as badly for the defense as is being reported, a plea deal could conceivably emerge).

Equally newsworthy has been the circus taking place outside the courthouse. Supporters of both sides have tussled as they await the outcome, but the uncivilized antics and incendiary rhetoric coming from the Karmelo Anthony side are jaw-dropping (if not completely predictable).

One of the most shocking things I witnessed today was this woman in pink screaming “you gon end up like Metcalf, you gone be pushing up daisies”.

I caught the tail end of her saying this to Metcalf supporters in the clip below.

I also witnessed several Karmelo supporters get extremely aggressive when ANY media tried speaking with them.

One female reporter went up to the group to ask questions (linked below) and they immediately got angry saying “we told y’all to stop coming the f*ck over here” (this was her first attempt at speaking to them).

At this point I started warning every reporter who was trying to speak with this group, as earlier, another local reporter had tapped on the shoulder of the man who leads their chants. This man immediately squared up and acted like the reporter had punched him.

I’ve been covering protests for 7 years and this is some of the most violent and racially charged rhetoric I’ve ever encountered.

This is just a mere taste of what's to come. The kindling is being set by Anthony's supporters, and the trial's outcome will be the flame. And that's because, despite the outcome, the race baiters have a ready-made excuse at hand to light cities on fire – and Democrats will be holding the flamethrower.

A guilty verdict or a plea deal? Another young black man has been unfairly punished by the judicial system! Let's riot.

An acquittal? This faultless young black man was unfairly targeted by the judicial system! Let's riot.

And the Democrat Party is rubbing its hands with glee. They love nothing more than summers of riots, and this setup is just too perfect. While they twist themselves into rhetorical knots trying to defend a Nazi (sham) oyster farmer who mocks veterans and mistreats women – and has possibly done worse on the Kik app – the Karmelo Anthony trial is the answer to their sinister prayers and their Graham Platner-sized problem. American cities being looted and burned is the very distraction they need.

Even better, the teen takeovers that have been blighting urban areas in recent months – something Democrat mayors won't address because the chaos is the point – dovetail nicely with the brewing unrest. These kids have a long, hot summer stretching before them and nothing better to do.

So watch McKinney closely. Whatever the jury decides, the narrative machine is already warming up, the activists are already primed and ready to go, and Democrats are already preparing to squeeze every last drop of political juice out of another tragedy.

If you see strategically-placed pallets of bricks suddenly popping up in your neighborhood or lawyers start carrying Molotov cocktails, you'll know the Democrats have mobilized, and things are about to kick off. Never let a crisis go to waste, after all.

New Poll Confirms What We Have Known All Along About the Modern Democrat Party

RedState

My mom passed away in 2021. But if she were alive today, she would tell you that the last Democrat she voted for was John F. Kennedy. Today's incarnation of the Democrat Party is a far cry from the days of JFK, when he intoned in his inaugural address, "Ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country." And while Democrats might deny it all they want, a new poll shows we have been right about them all along.

The Elon University/YouGov America 250 National Survey polled 1,000 U.S. adults between April 30 and May 4. What they found will no doubt make most Republicans and conservatives yawn because they already knew it. Of those polled, 55 percent of Democrats answered "yes" to the question “Is there any other country on Earth you would rather live in than the United States today?” Rounding out the numbers, 38 percent of Independents said yes, and 10 percent of Republicans.

The new poll reflects the results of a September 2025 Gallup poll, which showed that Democrats were the only partisan group that viewed socialism more favorably than capitalism. The poll stated:

Unsurprisingly, the survey found that socialism is largely toxic to Republicans and many independents, explaining why far-left Democrats have had more success in places like New York City but have struggled in red and battleground areas...

Democrats may have tried to hide their socialist tendencies in the past. But with the elections of people like Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, it now appears they can no longer do so, and would rather live somewhere where they don't have to deal with that pesky capitalism stuff.

As the critical midterm elections approach, where traditionally, the party out of power does the best, the Democrats' open embrace of, as Hizzonor Mamdani put it, "the warmth of collectivism," isn't helping them. A May CNN poll showed that Democrats and Republicans were virtually neck and neck in a generic ballot, with Democrats at 45 percent and Republicans at 42 percent.

Democrats are also being called out by their own. Comedian Bill Maher stated on his show "Real Time" on Friday that the performers who pulled out of the "America 250" concert made it appear that Democrats "don't really love America." That's a pretty safe assumption, Bill. Combine that with the fact that there have to be at least two generations of young Americans who have no idea what true socialism is because they are not taught what it really is in public schools, and voila, you have a poll that says over half of those polled would rather live outside the U.S. Happy July 4th.

I just have one question: how many of those 55 percent are actually packing up and going somewhere else?

The Trump Administration Launches the Largest-Ever Denaturalization Effort

The Trump administration is expected to launch a massive denaturalization campaign targeting legal immigrants who have committed fraud in the United States.

While federal law has long allowed officials to do this, administrations have typically shied away from the lengthy and complex process. However, the Trump administration plans to target 17 legal immigrants who have committed serious crimes, including lying on documents used to obtain citizenship, other kinds of fraud, and sex offenses against children.

"American citizenship is a privilege, and it must be earned honestly. If you come here break our laws, and lie in your immigration proceedings, you forfeit that privilege," Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin wrote in a statement. "DHSgov will not stand idly by while Americans are harmed by criminals including sex offenders, perpetrators of fraud, and drug traffickers who have exploited our generosity and gamed our immigration system. We will continue to use every lawful avenue to denaturalize and remove aliens."

Efforts to denaturalize citizens are typically overwhelmingly successful, as the Department of Justice reports a 95 percent success rate. The Trump administration’s effort is expected to be the largest in history, surpassing the previous high of 11 cases

“When criminal aliens exploit the naturalization process by breaking the law, there are consequences. Criminal aliens are lying about their past crimes, including drug dealers, sexual predators, and fraudsters. Gaining U.S. citizenship is a privilege and under the steadfast leadership of President Trump, this Department of Justice maintains a zero-tolerance policy for the abuse of this process,” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said. “We continue to work around the clock with our interagency partners to make sure U.S. citizenship is granted to those who truly deserve it.”
