Globalism Seeks to Kill the Nation-State

People are beginning to understand that those who rule in their name have long been working to eliminate the nation-state.

The United Nations is not neutral ground for national governments to discuss their differences; it is a governmental construct meant to replace national governments.  The World Health Organization is not an international body meant to coordinate complex responses to global health emergencies; it is an institution vested with vast power and authority to track and regulate every human on the planet.  The Bank for International Settlements, the World Bank Group, and the International Monetary Fund don’t exist to expand free trade, open markets, and assist developing nations; they exist to centralize control over all economic transactions in the world.

The onslaught of “green new deal” laws in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Australia, and New Zealand have nothing to do with preserving the environment or “saving the planet”; they are part of a broader U.N. initiative to track every person’s so-called “carbon footprint” in order to monitor, tax, and regulate all human activity.  The U.N.’s “climate reparations” policy has nothing to do with “justice” or “science”; it exists to justify the redistribution of wealth from Western nations to non-Western nations under the guise of “international law.”

The message we have heard all our lives is loud and clear: Nations do bad things.  International organizations do good things.

The rhetorical war on “nationalism” didn’t begin because people who are proud of their nations magically became Nazis; people who are proud of their nations are called “Nazis” so that those who rule over us can demonize the nation-state.  If you go back through newspapers and scholarly essays before WWII, “nationalism” and “patriotism” are used interchangeably.  After WWII, there is an obvious linguistic break.  “Patriotism,” for the most part, survives as an acceptable civic virtue (How else can governments send men into battle if there are no patriots?).  “Nationalism,” however, becomes increasingly used through the decades as a derogatory term linked to fascism — as if the very organizing concept of a nation-state is inherently authoritarian and anti-democratic.

Thinking about this anti-nationalism campaign for more than a second reveals its silliness.  Why would a constitutional republic with representative democracy be “fascist” at the national level but “democratic” when organized internationally?  Why would the Executive leader of a nation such as Germany, France, or the United States be more “authoritarian” than the secretary-general of the U.N. or the president of the European Commission?  Why would an international governing body be considered more “democratic” than a town, region, or nation of people governing themselves?  Why should the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, be considered Europe’s “representative leader” when the European people never voted for her to “represent” them?

The U.N. has 193 member state ambassadors representing roughly 8.3 billion people.  Why should such a minuscule parliamentary assembly be considered “democratic” or “representative” at all?  At best, it uses the veneer of “democracy” to justify imposing its authoritarian will upon all of humanity.  Whether one dictator or 193 dictators working in concert — when humanity is forced to obey the edicts of rulers, it doesn’t matter if those edicts come from a national or international body.

Natural rights and freedoms do not become more natural because 193 people in New York City say so.  God-given liberties exist despite the existence of government, not because of government.  The more people over whom a government claims jurisdiction, the less likely that any one person’s natural rights will be respected and protected.  When a citizen cannot look his “representative” in the face, his “representative” is much less concerned about infringing that citizen’s natural liberties.

International governments are no less likely to become totalitarian than national governments.  Just as Hitler’s national socialism and Mussolini’s fascism did last century, international tyranny prefers to disguise itself as something peaceful, benevolent, and for the common good.  Had Hitler successfully conquered Europe, perhaps the German Empire would have been called the European Union.  Had Hitler conquered the world, perhaps the U.N.’s headquarters would be in Berlin.  National totalitarianism becomes international totalitarianism just as easily as national mask and vaccine mandates transform into “vaccine passports” and World Health Organization mandates.

The same people who hyperventilate about President Trump’s supposed “authoritarianism” roundly applaud the authoritarianism of global institutions such as the World Health Organization.  In fact, when the president withdrew the United States from WHO on his first day back in office last year due to the international body’s mishandling of the COVID pandemic and efforts to cover up the pandemic’s origin in Wuhan, China, critics in the press accused Trump of being “scientifically reckless” and called “global cooperation” a “biological necessity.”

That’s another part of internationalism’s linguistic magic trick: The same global corporate news machine that has spent the last eighty-plus years conditioning people to understand the word “nationalism” as something evil, militant, and barbaric has simultaneously conditioned the world to see anything “international” as inherently good, peaceful, and progressive.  The “national / international” dichotomy didn’t happen by accident; it’s been shoved down our throats all our lives.  But once again, if a rational person takes a moment to consider the semantic manipulation, it is quite absurd.

If the International Monetary Fund, headquartered in Washington, D.C., were more accurately renamed the “American Monetary Fund,” would the financial institution become more suspect?  If so, then how should we view the word “international” as anything other than a verbal ruse meant to project a false message that the IMF acts on behalf of all people on the planet?  American taxpayers have principally funded the World Health Organization since its formation in 1948.  If it had been called the American Health Organization, would the press have been as upset when “authoritarian” Trump decided to stop funding it?  If not, does this not suggest that words such as “world” and “global” distort the identity and purpose of these intrusive organizations?

“Internationalism” is a Trojan Horse or at least the camel’s nose under the tent for Big Government authoritarians who wish to impose their will on the whole planet.

When “international” agents or soldiers come knocking, their mission sounds downright “humanitarian,” doesn’t it?  The United Nations has a whole Department of Peace Operations.  That department sends out military and law enforcement personnel known as “peacekeepers.”  And for decades the “peacekeepers” from the Department of Peace Operations have raped women and girls all over the world.  The “internationals” have been abusing the “nationals,” and the international United Nations and the multinational corporate news organizations have spent decades covering up all of the “internationals’” prolific raping.  International organizations dedicated to “peace” can’t be seen doing things that only “fascist” nationals do.

Big lies expose internationalism’s true intent: Internationalists are building a global empire.  This empire is authoritarian (because it demands global compliance at the expense of personal freedom) and totalitarian (because it requires complete subservience to a centralized and dictatorial global government).  There is nothing “democratic” or “representative” about this international system of governance.  It has no interest in protecting an individual’s rights and freedoms.  It has no interest in respecting a nation’s sovereignty.  It will permit both individuals and nations to be raped in the name of “global peace.”

Therefore, it makes perfect sense why the United Nations encourages mass illegal immigration into the United States and Europe.  When you are in the business of destroying nations, you do not care if murderers and rapists destroy local families.  You do not care if Islamic terrorists burn down Christian churches.  You do not care if the “newcomers” to Europe and America have pledged to conquer the West.

For globalism to win, it must first kill the nation-state.

peaceful day of patriotism and honor.

Democrats Sure Hate Jews

If you follow Democrat Party primaries, it’s tough to know if they’re running against other individuals or. Their ads don’t say things like “I will be the candidate to go after the Jews,” but only because they have to run in a general election and non-Democrats tend not to hate Jews like they do.

In Maine, Democrats are supporting a guy with a Nazi tattoo on his chest – only having “covered it up” once he’d become a candidate after more than a decade of proudly displaying it. In Texas, they’re on the verge of nominating a woman calling to turn ICE facilities into “Zionist billionaire” prisons because “Jews with money,” or something.

You’d be hard-pressed to find any Democrat not running against some other Democrat they accuse of being a tool for AIPAC, the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee. The “American” part is key, as it means the members of AIPAC are Americans who are concerned about Israel. Think of that what you will, but the people who freak out over people being concerned about Israel have spent half a decade insisting we must send a blank check to Ukraine and have more Ukrainian and “progressive” Alphabet Mafia flags on their cars than American flags in their zip codes.

There comes a point at which, in all the complaining, you have no choice but to come to the realization that it’s about the Jews and nothing else.

The group Justice Democrats regularly sends emails lamenting what the Jews in AIPAC are up to, or at least what Justice Democrats insist they are. In one they wrote, “But since we don’t take any corporate contributions, we depend directly on grassroots contributions from folks like you to fuel our candidates and fight back against AIPAC, billionaires, and corporate super PACs.”

In another raising money for radical leftist Chris Rabb, who actually won his primary, that “He’s spent the last 8 years serving his majority-Black, mixed-income district and introducing bold legislation in the Pennsylvania House. He doesn’t take a cent from AIPAC or any other corporate PACs. And he wholeheartedly believes in a free Palestine, abolishing ICE, and passing progressive policies like Medicare for All.”

Race-obsessed, Jew-hating. Modern Democrats are Germans in the 1930s again.

Fat, racist and former Congresswoman Cori Bush is running again because, well, with a resume of obesity and stupidity, what else besides Congress is she qualified for? In a fundraising email for her campaign, Bush wrote, “There is nothing empowering about a group run by operatives who have spent decades on AIPAC’s payroll. It’s the same people who have tried again and again to silence voices like mine.”

Those damn Jews, they just ruin everything!

David Hogg, fired from the DNC after about 20 minutes for being too bigoted even for the left, is raising cash for his own PAC, wrote, “The problem is the establishment is designed to protect itself. They have endless money from corporate PACs, AIPAC, billionaires, you name it. And they try to squash anyone who challenges them.”

Not sure you can get any more “establishment” in the modern Democrat Party than an unaccomplished virgin who hates Jews and begs for money to avoid getting a real job, but whatever.

The most mentions of AIPAC in my in box are, well, a stereotype, if I’m being honest. Abdul El-Sayed is running for the Democrat nomination for Senate in Michigan. He’s the guy who wanted his campaign staff to know he didn’t want to talk about the Ayatollah being killed because a lot of his potential voters in Dearborn were upset that the murderous monster was in Hell.

He rarely sends a fundraising email that doesn’t invoke AIPAC, with dozens in the last few months alone. He recently wrote in one that “A pro-(one of his opponents' names) Super PAC, vaguely called 'Fight for Michigan,' just announced its placing its first TV ad buy in this race. That’s on top of the $5+ million an AIPAC-linked dark money group already spent this month. We’re talking over $6.2 MILLION in ads, all to prop up our primary opponent. I’m not going to sugarcoat this — this could cause us to lose our lead.”

Damn Jews and their money are meddling in elections…where…other leftists who aren’t Jewish are…well…doing the exact same thing those Jews are doing but it’s cool because they’re not Jewish…or something.

Democrats sure hate Jews.

Terms of Agreement

Those who know what’s happening aren’t talking, and news outlets like Axios and Reuters, who can’t possibly have inside information, are.

I’ve been watching reports all Friday and Saturday, tracking reports of events in Iran. It seems to me that those who know what’s happening aren’t talking, and news outlets like Axios and Reuters, who can’t possibly have inside information, are. I disregard as unlikely the accounts of terms of any agreement which do not come from official sources.

Yes, there are some credible signs that we are reaching a critical juncture in the negotiations: The President abandoned his plans to attend his son’s wedding in Florida to return to the White House. The Vice President made an unscheduled return from Ohio to D.C., where all of the top cabinet officers are said to be assembled. Pizza sales at shops near the Pentagon are soaring, usually a sign of a planned military operation. If it weren’t so important to know what’s going on, I’d be laughing at the predictable online rumors and responses to the made-up news accounts of terms of agreement:

  • Once again, it is rumored online that Mojtabhi Khamenei has been killed.
  • Some report that Israeli planes have already taken off to strike Iran.
  • The pessimists argue that nothing short of war will work because Iran can’t be trusted
  • The Left and the hawks both argue that Trump sold us out.
  • The pro-Palestinians yammer that Bibi is angry, and, alternatively, that Trump is his puppet.
  • Anti-Administration posters repeat that Witkoff sold us out.
  • Non-interventionists argue that we should leave it to the Iranians to oust the regime.
  • Moronic lefties claim Trump is going to get a deal no better than the one their sainted Obama got. (Seriously, that’s their claim.)
  • Yadayadayada.

Unlike these commentators, I have no idea what is going on. I do know our military forces and economic situation are far greater than the enemy’s. I do know that the Iranian people are suffering greatly (even though the internet blackout makes it difficult to get current on-the-ground information). I do know that the President prefers economic warfare to the real thing, and so far, that often seems to work. I anticipate that if we up our military response to bomb bridges and power plants, and utterly devastate an already severely wounded Iran, it will need decades for Iran to recover, and even more civilians will suffer and be killed. I also know that a nuclear-armed Iran controlling a major waterway is not a tolerable risk for us or the world. Finally, I believe that the President is worthy of our trust to balance all these considerations. I think it makes sense to wait and see what happens and disregard make-believe insider accounts. Amjad Taha, an Emirati poster whom I consider credible, does not detail the agreed terms but says Iran has yielded.

The Islamic regime in Iran has surrendered and accepted the terms. If it breaks them, it will be broken. Increasingly isolated in the region, Trump called Gulf leaders before making his final decision, a sign that the region is now closer to America than before and will play a role in shaping the next steps. What comes next may be even more dangerous for the regime itself: unrest at home, anger in the streets, and calls for change that could erupt as the war comes to an end.

The region, America, and allies such as NATO and the EU may use this pause to prepare for the next phase, now convinced that this regime’s missiles and drones threaten not only Gulf nations, but also the global economy through the Strait of Hormuz.

In this battle, the regime has suffered heavy losses, its navy, aircraft, leadership, soldiers, economy, and strategic capabilities. If there is a next round, it may not survive it.

The President says there is a deal.

BREAKING: President Trump announces IRAN DEAL TO BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY

Strait of Hormuz will OPEN.

HUGE!

"Final aspects and details of the Deal are currently being discussed, and will be announced shortly. In addition to many other elements of the Agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened."

"An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed."

"Separately, I had a call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel, which, likewise, went very well."

Trump lists who participated today:

"I am in the Oval Office at the White House where we just had a very good call with President Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, of The United Arab Emirates, Emir Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, and Minister Ali al-Thawadi, of Qatar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah, of Pakistan, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, of Türkiye, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, of Egypt, King Abdullah II, of Jordan, and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, of Bahrain, concerning the Islamic Republic of Iran, and all things related to a Memorandum of Understanding pertaining to PEACE"

In the meantime, Cuba is surrounded by U.S. forces and still is suffering an energy blackout -- that means hospitals are operating by flashlight, food and water supplies are seriously hampered, and transportation is basically halted.

Tomorrow is Memorial Day, a day to honor all those military personnel who died while serving. It began at the close of the Civil War, in which about 2% of the population died fighting. I’m old enough to remember when my second-grade teacher told us about it with tear-filled eyes while remembering her brother, a pilot who died in World War II. She was talking to a class of kids who also had fathers, brothers, and uncles who had perished in that war. As we get farther in time from that horrible war, fewer students share such memories. People my age do. Blessed be the peacemakers.

Memorial Day Thoughts From One Who Lived

This Memorial Day weekend, as we honor the fallen, and we’re getting together with our families and friends to BBQ, please remember the reason you have a day off.

When I think about what this day means to me, I’m thinking about the unbreakable bond that defines military service. In the cockpit, on the flight line, in the foxhole, or aboard the carrier — you don’t just serve alongside people. You become family with people. My 20 years were simply the most rewarding, growing, maturing experience of my life.

I’m particularly remembering, among the too many to name, my father, Major General Robert B, Patterson (USAF); and my close brothers like First Lieutenant Mike Hodge (USAF) and Captain Tim Shafer (USAF).

You may have read my column about Tim on Friday. In case you missed it, here's part of what I wrote:

In 1995, I was an Air Force squadron commander, and my squadron of 220 personnel and eight jets deployed from Travis AFB, CA to Rhein Main, Germany, to fly into Bosnia during the Bosnian War.

We had our headquarters in Germany and flew into Bosnia daily, delivering our troops, diplomats, senior officials, humanitarian aid, and yes, journalists.

...

One of my stellar copilots was Lieutenant Tim Shafer. Also a great friend. Back home at Travis, I hung out quite a bit with Tim and his wife away from work. Birthdays, Napa wine tastings, skiing up at Tahoe, you name it. I chose Tim as one of my hand-picked pilots because he was that good.

...

Military assignments can be crazy. Tim and his wife were reassigned a few months later to fly T-43s at Ramstein AB, Germany. They were really excited about it!

Shortly thereafter, Tim was the pilot who crashed and died in the Clinton Commerce Secretary Ron Brown crash in Croatia. On April 3, 1996, Tim was piloting his T-43 full of corporate CEOs and Brown on an official trade mission. Flying an NDB approach (non-directional beacon) into Dubrovnik. Thirty-five people onboard died.

The USAF called the accident “pilot error.” I’ve never bought that conclusion.

Mike and Tim were pilot buddies of mine. One on the East Coast and one on the West. We shared apartments, laughs, birthdays, families, missions, and the weight of the uniform.

When the engines spool up and the mission is real, that brotherhood is what carries you. You trust them with your life because they’ve already proven they’d give theirs for you.

That bond doesn’t end when the uniform comes off or when one of us makes the ultimate sacrifice. It lives on in the stories we tell, the flags we place, and the promise we keep to never forget. Never, ever forget.

True leadership understands this. You equip your troops, back them with resolve, and never leave them behind. From my days carrying the Nuclear Football to flying C-141s around the world, I saw it time and again: the strength of our military isn’t just in the hardware — it’s in the warriors who stand together!

To every veteran, active duty troop, and Gold Star family — thank you for living that brotherhood! America is free because you refused to let it fall.

This weekend, as you grill and enjoy time with family, take a moment to remember the ones who made it possible. Pour one out for the fallen. Say their names.

I’ll be saying “Bob Patterson,” “Mike Hodge,” and “Tim Shafer.”

Who will you be remembering this Memorial Day?

Remember to observe the Memorial Day 3 p.m. moment of silence, known officially as the National Moment of Remembrance, which asks all Americans to pause wherever they are at 3:00 p.m. local time for exactly one minute. This brief, unified pause is dedicated to honoring and reflecting upon the military service members who have died in service to the United States.

France has split. And how is it feeling?

France’s welfare state now masks deeper fracture, rising crime and a political shift in its urban outskirts

As a result of the March 2026 municipal elections, as many as 11 French cities came under the control of migrants. This is no exaggeration. First, that was the election agenda itself, formulated with utmost clarity by La Courneuve mayoral candidate Ali Diouara: “My issue is our own, the locals. And when I say ‘our own, the locals,’ I mean Blacks and Arabs.” Second, the new mayors from MΓ©lenchon’s party have already announced a phased disarmament and reduction of the municipal police.

It is therefore no surprise that police unions are urging their colleagues to flee left-wing cities where people from the “migration” milieu have come to power. In the city of Saint-Denis, the head of the municipal police and all his deputies resigned, and more than half of the officers filed requests for transfers to other cities.

France already has the highest crime rate in Europe, while Paris holds the absolute lead in the frequency of robberies. And now that eight Paris suburbs have formally come under the control of migrant communities, the words “Welcome to Saint-Denis” no longer sound very welcoming in French.

During the recent Paris riots marking Paris Saint-Germain’s advance to the final of the UEFA Champions League, the rioters destroyed the ‘Living Together’ exhibition on Place de la Concorde. That says more about France’s future than the progressive doctrine of the ‘creolization’ of the French, through which MΓ©lenchon’s left tactfully and skillfully sidesteps the topic of the withering away of the French nation.

An experiment has been carried out in France. The welfare state, created after the Second World War for the purpose of France’s national revival and still one of the best in the world, has, as a result of the French elite’s adoption and implementation of the globalist project, been turned into the largest incubator of culturally alien diasporas. These diasporas take social benefits for granted, but reject French patriotism as a relic of an incorrect and doomed civilization.

The course and results of this social experiment can be assessed using RT’s global Social Well-Being Index (SWI). While the West is locked in a measuring contest of who has more money and greater opportunities for consumption, we measure what truly matters for the survival and flourishing of nations: the ability to produce life (birth rates); the preservation of life (infant mortality, longevity, homicide mortality); and the minimization of oppression (the level of inequality between rich and poor, and children’s education).

In examining the French case, one must not only analyze the statistics but also anatomize the mainstream discourse. Because Michel Foucault’s thesis on the power of discourse is relevant everywhere, but most of all in France. To see how a France that no longer fights is feeling, look here.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar Hold a Press Conference

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar hold a press conference in New Delhi during Rubio’s first official trip to India.

In continuation of President Trump’s Indo-Pacific strategy, Secretary Rubio notes that India has become one of America’s most strategic partnerships in the world.  Both nations represent the world’s largest democracies, and both nations face internal scrutiny as an outcome of their need to be open and accountable to the people they represent.  Additionally, the trade and economic partnership between the USA and India is critical to hedge against the influence by Chinese expansion.

The question and media answers begin at 16:10, with the first question asking about U.S. policy that no longer supports mass visa opportunities for Indian residents.  Rubio notes the same visa restrictions that are in place now against India are the same visa limits now in place against the entire globe.  The process to reform and/or change how immigration takes place always creates some friction points.  WATCH:

The Trump Administration Just Handed This Commie a Subpoena

The internet-famous socialist streamer Hasan Piker has been issued a subpoena by the federal officials over his trip to the island nation of Cuba in March of this year, according to Fox News.

The subpoena comes as U.S. officials from the Departments of Justice, State, and Treasury have launched investigations to see if leftist activists and influencers who traveled to Cuba violated U.S. law by supporting the Cuban government or by financing or coordinating with Cuban officials, according to the report from Fox.

Piker reportedly joined groups funded by the Marxist tech giant Neville Signham for the trip, which included organizations like the Democratic Socialists of America and CodePink co-founder Susan Benjamin. Benjamin likewise was subject to a federal subpoena. Up to 40 American nationals are believed to have attended the socialist gathering and more subpoenas are expected to be handed down.

The new action from the Trump administration comes just days after former Cuban leader Raul Castro was handed a federal indictment for conspiracy to kill U.S. nationals.

Trump Claps Back at Iran Deal Critics, 'Don't Listen to the Losers' Who 'Know Nothing About' It

RedState

Although full details of Trump’s Iran deal, which is still being negotiated, have not been provided by the administration, the president has come under fire for supposedly caving to the mullahs and failing to mete out harsh enough consequences for the terroristic regime.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo earned the president’s wrath for saying the deal resembles former President Barack Obama’s ridiculous 2015 agreement — where we literally dumped pallets of cash on a runway despite not making meaningful progress against their nuclear ambitions — while other hard-line Republicans like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis, and Missouri Sen. Roger Wicker have gone on record saying that if the agreement doesn’t neuter Iran’s nuclear program, it’s a bad deal.

Although he didn't name names, Trump posted to Truth Social on Sunday afternoon to clap back at the naysayers, a group that includes just about every Democrat, and said they don’t even know what’s in the deal.

The president said his deal would not be anything like Obama’s, which Trump pulled out of in 2018 during his first term:

If I make a deal with Iran, it will be a good and proper one, not like the one made by Obama, which gave Iran massive amounts of CASH, and a clear and open path to a Nuclear Weapon.

The new deal will look nothing like the old one, he claimed, and the critics can wait until they see the details before piling on. They don’t even know what’s in it, he charged:

Our deal is the exact opposite, but nobody has seen it, or knows what it is. It isn’t even fully negotiated yet. So don’t listen to the losers, who are critical about something they know nothing about. Unlike those before me who should have solved this problem many years ago, I don’t make bad deals! President DJT

Administration officials have said the deal is 95 percent negotiated, but there are a few details left to work out, and negotiating with Iran takes a long time, even over the smallest points, due to their difficulty communicating. If they use electronic communication devices, they run the risk of being tracked by Israel or U.S. intelligence agencies. If they meet up in person, they face the danger that they could end up like former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (ie, dead).

The stakes are huge: this deal and its bullet points could define Trump’s second term in office and will affect, one way or the other, his final two and a half or so years as commander-in-chief. That being said, until we know exactly what’s being proposed, critics are acting without a full understanding and would be better off waiting until details are released.

We should know relatively soon, a Trump official told Fox News on Sunday:

“We are not going to roll over. We are not there yet on a deal. We are not going to sign a deal today or tomorrow,” the official said before adding that President Donald Trump’s “instinct is to give them 5, 6, 7 days” to get an agreement over the line.

President Trump Notes the Outlines of a Negotiated Deal with Iran – Some Details Emerge

Delivering two messages yesterday from his Truth Social account, President Trump notes the Pakistani and Arab negotiating teams are close to terms of an agreement. However, President Trump emphasizes that any negotiated end to the conflict must include the complete elimination of Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

PRESIDENT TRUMP – “If I make a deal with Iran, it will be a good and proper one, not like the one made by Obama, which gave Iran massive amounts of CASH, and a clear and open path to a Nuclear Weapon. Our deal is the exact opposite, but nobody has seen it, or knows what it is. It isn’t even fully negotiated yet. So don’t listen to the losers, who are critical about something they know nothing about. Unlike those before me who should have solved this problem many years ago, I don’t make bad deals!” ~ President DJT

EARLIER – “One of the worst deals ever made by our Country was the Iran Nuclear Deal, put forth and signed into existence by Barack Hussein Obama and the rank amateurs of the Obama Administration. It was a direct path to Iran developing a Nuclear Weapon. Not so with the transaction currently being negotiated with Iran by the Trump Administration – THE EXACT OPPOSITE, in fact! The negotiations are proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner, and I have informed my representatives not to rush into a deal in that time is on our side. The Blockade will remain in full force and effect until an agreement is reached, certified, and signed. Both sides must take their time and get it right. There can be no mistakes! Our relationship with Iran is becoming a much more professional and productive one. They must understand, however, that they cannot develop or procure a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb. I would like to thank, thus far, all of the countries of the Middle East for their support and cooperation, which will be further enhanced and strengthened by their joining the Nations of the historic Abraham Accords and, who knows, perhaps the Islamic Republic of Iran would like to join, as well! Thank you for your attention to this matter. ~ President DONALD J. TRUMP

It is doubtful the finalized terms will be released any time soon.  However, Scott Jennings is reporting on some of the outlines of the agreement after he had discussions with a “senior Trump official” directly involved in the negotiations.

According to Jennings:

-USA IS NOT GIVING IRANIANS MONEY FOR NOTHING. All speculation and propaganda to the contrary is false. Some hardline elements of Iran’s govt (IRGC) have pushed fake stories & propaganda to try to kill this negotiation.

-Iran deal is NOT done (95%, but still haggling over some language). No deal being signed yet. May be a few more days before this is done.

-Iran will NOT get any money or sanctions relief up front.

-Iran must turn over nuclear stockpile to get anything. USA position is that failure to meet deal commitments means Iran gets nothing.

-Long term USA objective is preventing Iran from having nuclear weapon.

-Initial deal point is to re-establish free flow of commerce by reopening Strait of Hormuz.

Deal should have 2 phases:

Step 1 – Open Strait of Hormuz. Give world economy breathing room. Iran agrees to give up enriched uranium.

Step 2 – Get the nuclear material turned over. Only then can Iran get sanctions relief.

Bottom line: goal is to make a deal that lowers costs for Americans, calms world energy markets, and guarantees that Iranians cannot have a nuclear weapon over the long term. We aren’t there yet. Iran takes forever to get you a response on even small things. But we are close although it still could be a few days.

“If we get what we are demanding, this is going to be a historic deal,” SAO says.

SAO sounds prepared to do no deal at all if all Iran will do is a “bad deal.” SAO admits deal could fall apart yet. But if a deal is reached, SAO expects very senior USA admin officials to take part in a signing ceremony of some sort.

Iran has agreed in principle to the framework but there are still a couple points USA isn’t satisfied with. 95% done. But literally changing words sometimes requires days in Iran’s system. Haggling over language. But USA feels like we have a commitment on nuclear stockpile and on opening Strait of Hormuz.

If IRAN doesn’t deliver on commitments, they get nothing.

“Iran’s ability to project power is a lot more limited than it was two months ago,” SAO says. “Their industrial base for building ballistic missiles has been substantially destroyed.”  {source}

Multiple key republican senators like Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham are not happy with what they are hearing.  Most of the Israel-First ‘influencers’ are also not happy.  Mark Levin and Laura Loomer are particularly upset.  However, as with all things that involve rumor and speculation, the best approach is to wait and see what the deal entails.

I trust President Trump to find the optimal solution.
