GOP 2026 Campaign: Hold Democrats Accountable

The Republican Party’s campaign theme for 2026 should be, “Hold Democrats Accountable.”

This campaign should read like a harsh prosecution of the Democrat Party Deep State (DPDS) for its political offenses which Democrats, all the way down the ballot, view as features of their party, not bugs. Republicans must make them own it.

The Democrats’ 2028 presidential candidates are a joke.

According to the latest poll, AOC leads with 26% — followed closely by Pete Buttigieg and Gavin Newsom. (Kamala Harris has fallen to 13% and may not get past the starting gate.)

● Every Republican underestimates AOC’s celebrity cuteness, because that's all she’s got. Her Green New Deal is political toxic waste. She consistently takes the 20% end of every 80/20 issue.

● Buttigieg is a homosexual who failed as mayor of South Bend, Indiana. He became part of the Autopen Committee for a few years, with an extended “maternity leave.”

● Governor Hair Gel? He’s eviscerating California for illegal aliens, homeless people, “endangered” species, and criminals. Billionaires, corporations and all others who can afford it have already packed up the U-Hauls and fled. His taxes are among the nation's highest, his schools' educational achievement is below Mississippi's, and his environmental mismanagement led to wasted water and water shortages, Mexican sewage fouling the state's south coast, and at least three cities burning to the ground. And he wants to go nationwide with this?

Also, consider Abdul al-Sayed, Zohran Mamdani, Karen Bass and Graham Platner; the DPDS Minor League players are even worse.

Democrats tell a lot of lies.

If lies were buildings, the Democrats could build the entire New York City skyline with their huge, towering lies.

I’ve itemized a lot of their lies in previous columns, but the most salient ones are:

● “Russia collusion,”
● “Hunter’s laptop is Russian disinformation,”
● “Trump incited an insurrection,”
● “Trump illegally kept classified documents,” and
● “Trump is a pedophile.”

There are many more. If I listed every lie, it would wallpaper this website. Their 11-year lawfare campaign against Trump was pure mendacity.

DPDS propaganda minions in the so-called “news media” and the entertainment sector spread lies, exaggerations, distortions, lies and more lies. Every time a Democrat told a lie, these people made sure you heard it — but not the truth.

Every person who runs for office as a Democrat (endorsing or excusing these lies), or bleats these lies on the air as DPDS propaganda, should be held accountable. Millions of tax dollars were expended, without proving a word of it. The American people, as the jury that matters, rendered their verdict in November 2024.

During the Clinton years, we constantly heard this sermon: “Ignore the president’s personal foibles; focus on his job performance.” Turnabout is fair play.

“Innocent until proven guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt” is a bedrock principle of our Republic. If Clinton had the benefit of the doubt in 1998, Trump certainly enjoys the same benefit in 2026.

And Trump isn’t even on the ballot. At the federal level, Democrats are running for the chance to impeach Trump. At the state and local levels, they’re running for the chance to obstruct Trump. All these levels are running for the chance to prosecute Trump criminally in 2029, the minute presidential immunity expires.

Their lawfare will start up right where it left off in 2024, if they win. Hold them accountable, and they will lose.

Democrats instigate violence.

If I have an addiction, I’m addicted to peace and quiet. The Democrats don’t just want civil disorder: they want the blood of conservatives running in the streets.

Obviously, Democrats across America quietly celebrated Charlie Kirk’s assassination and hope for the next riot to start, and the next assassin to kill the president. Their violent rhetoric has been fully documented elsewhere. And this election cycle is the moment to hold them accountable for it.

As an example of their thinking, early in my ten years working for a DPDS Chicago law firm, I was directly supervised by a lady lawyer for a couple of years. Rush Limbaugh would have called her a “Feminazi.” Today she’d be called AWFUL (Affluent/Angry White Female Urban Liberal).

Since I kept my conservatism a carefully guarded secret, this lady told me her most partisan thoughts and fantasies. She told me that when Reagan was fading fast, she kept a bottle of champagne chilling in the fridge in the law firm’s break room. When he died, everyone got the champagne glasses out, and quietly celebrated.

That spirit is now animating their entire party, and has grown loud and rabid. Charlie Kirk is dead, and the president was shot. During the riots in 2020 and 2025-26, dozens of murders were committed and billions of dollars in damage was done. It’s time to call them all out for inciting this violence.

The rest of their platform is bat-guano crazy.

Because if we examine everything else Democrats stand for, it’s a pack of lies, betrayals, pseudo-science and wishful thinking as well.

● They sold out women, in favor of transgenders.
● They sold out African-Americans, in favor of Latino and Muslim illegal aliens — and all the criminality that comes with them.

Combine those two factors, and all the Democrats really have to offer American women is abortion as birth control. There are men on opposing sports teams, in their locker rooms and in their restrooms. There are illegals who would rape them and/or kill them.

Mamdani policies produced the spectacle of a pro-terrorist protester smashing an innocent Jewish girl in the face. In Brooklyn.

Frankly, the American woman’s right to feel safe is destroyed. And if she wants to carry a handgun in her purse, or buy an AR-15 … well, the Democrats don’t like that, either.

They pushed diversity so hard that billions of tax dollars were lost to fraud, by the immigrants they enabled. Billions more were scattered around the world for their pet projects.

Their “climate change” and “lifesaving transgender medicine” lies need to be called out. These lies have virtually zero hard science to back them up. The Democrats who are married to such positions need to be held accountable in November.

As a result of Democrats’ climate lies, their energy policy — which infects every policy from the economy and job creation, to feeding our families — is suicide for America, like their immigration policy.

Their foreign policy revolves around opposing everything Donald Trump does. They hope some disaster happens in the Mideast or Latin America, that they can blame on Trump. AOC’s stupidity at a European security conference shows their foreign policy thinking is remarkably vapid — once they get past their unspoken themes: “I hate Trump” and “I hate Israel.”

Hold them accountable, for all of it.

Key DPDS operatives like Letitia James, Eric Swalwell, Fanni Willis, and James Comey have been investigated, for the same crimes they falsely accused Trump of committing. This is the core culture of the DPDS: break the law, and guys like Merrick Garland will let you get away with it. Hold them accountable.

When Republicans stop counting illegals in the 2030 Census, gerrymander the South Red (just like Illinois, California and New England have been gerrymandered Blue), pass voter ID as a federal law, and hold supportive crime syndicates like ActBlue and the SPLC accountable, Democrats aren’t just losing in November. They’re crippled for the next 20-30 years. As it should be.

It’s Not 1950 Anymore But Democrats Are Still Racists

Cory Booker, Senator from New Jersey and child of two wealthy executives at IBM, knows struggle – he’s seen every episode of “Dear White People.” The struggle is real…especially in the first two seasons. Or so it has been explained to him, as he’s led a charmed life, which would be impossible if the United States of America were half the racist hell hole he pretends it is to advance his political career.

It amuses me to no end when white liberals act like they are the saviors of black people, and it’s even more amusing when black politicians who grew up just as much, if not more, “privileged” than the white people they whine about don the racial hero cape. Cory Booker has wanted for nothing, except maybe hair and a non-grating personality, but he knows “struggle” because, well, his skin color.

He's been so privileged that he had to make up a drug dealer called “T-Bone” to pretend to know one. Seriously, look it up. Mr. “No Justice, No Peace” has known nothing but peace to the point that he probably didn’t even have a weed guy in college, let alone a real dealer.

Cory loves cosplaying poverty – imagine Carlton Banks in a stage production of Malcolm X – even moving into a “bad” neighborhood of Newark when he was Mayor there. But there’s a difference between experiencing poverty or oppression and watching it.

If we’re being honest, the only reason you know the name Cory Booker is the color of his skin and the bar being lowered by the liberal media because of it. He’s made a fool of himself repeatedly in politics – everything from the aforementioned T-Bone to his “Spartacus” rant – but being a liberal and a black man insulated him from the ridicule he’s so clearly earned.

Over the weekend, Democrats re-marched over the Edmund Pettus Bridge – which is remarkably easy to do now because there weren’t a bunch of Democrats on the other side ready to beat the hell out of them (funny how that works, isn’t it?). Afterwards, Cory whined on MS Now about the Supreme Court decision that “gutted the Voting Rights Act.” It did nothing of the sort, it actually upheld it by ending racial gerrymandering. Democrats screamed it would “end black representation in Congress,” and people like white Jewish Democrat Steve Cohen decided to retire after being in office since the Earth cooled, representing a gerrymandered majority black district. As I said, the struggle is real.

Now, horror of horrors, that district will likely be represented for the first time since the 1980s by a black person, and a woman, no less! But she’s a Republican, so is she really black? According to Democrats, “Skin folk ain’t kin folk,” after all.

I, for one, and sick of this game and refuse to play it. When you see Booker cry about how not being able to herd all black people into a couple of districts that look like someone sneezed on a wet Rorschach test, as himself, how about half the black Members of Congress managed to get elected from majority white districts? Ask him how he, if the country is so racist, managed to win a Senate seat in majority white New Jersey?

He didn’t win because he’s black, he won because a majority of people in New Jersey are stupid.

On a show co-hosted by two gay black men (Why doesn’t anyone on the left ever whine about “overrepresentation” on television when it happens? Because they don’t really mean anything they say, that’s why.”), Booker declared, “We have a Supreme Court, six members, who are sending us back, uh, to that long, almost century where black, uh, political leadership and black electoral fairness was not represented in, uh, the House of Representatives. And we're going to see now, with surgical‑like precision, uh, statehouse after statehouse in, uh, Southern states, then writing maps to try to eviscerate black leadership.”

He'd just “marched” in Selma, because Democrats can’t tell the difference between 2026 and 1926, adding, “So, I was there because my roots go back to the south.” The only times Cory has ever lived in the southern half of the country was as a US Senator in DC and a spoiled football player at Stanford, but he watched Gone With The Wind once. Well, most of it, anyway.

These leftists would have you believe it’s 1950 all the time, everywhere. But it’s not. Sure, the racism Democrats practiced then to divide people and empower themselves still exists – they’ve changed tactics a little, but never their objective of gaining power for themselves – it’s just not working as well as it used to as generations have been trapped in poverty by their “help.” It’s not 1950 anymore because the black family hadn’t yet been destroyed by Democrat policies then, the Democrat education system hadn’t yet failed black students like it does now.

I could go on, but you get the idea.

Democrats treat black people like they’re children, only Democrats are the abusive step-parent who insists the beatings are the best thing for them. Given their history – the party of slavery, creating Jim Crow, the KKK, segregation, welfare programs that decimated the family, the generational economic depression and crime in cities they’ve controlled for decades – the Democratic Party has been about as helpful as brick is to a drowning man. People are wising up to that fact and it scares the hell out of them.

People like Cory Booker and every other elected and media Democrat are terrified at the prospect of this realization, as they have nothing else to offer. They’re going to triple-down on racism because it’s easier than to not suck; they’re going to continue to treat black people like children because “the struggle” in 2026 is as real as the tooth fairy and once voters realize that, it’s over for them.

Democrats Have Completely Normalized Their Threats To Democracy

Republicans, take note: While it’s supposedly a major party foul to question the results of an election (at least when Republicans do it), it’s apparently just fine to undo the results when they don’t go your way. That should be really useful information going forward.

A couple of prominent Democrats made those rules very clear in recent days, and, whaddayaknow, there wasn’t a peep out of our great democracy defenders in the dying news media.

In an interview Saturday with The New York Times, the Democrats’ latest effort to look like they don’t hate straight white men — Senate candidate Graham Platner — said when his party’s grip on power is threatened, Democrats should simply eliminate the opposition by changing the established rules and laws as they currently exist. “When you look at American history,” he said, when you look at moments in which the nation was in crisis and when large programs were necessary, when things needed to be protected or when new things needed to be built, it wasn’t enough to simply stay within the norms of the institutions as they had been built recently.”

He said it’s necessary for Democrats “to create new forms of power,” which is another way of saying “force everyone to do what we want even when we lose.”

This is why they talk about impeaching judges, packing the Supreme Court, and otherwise fixing elections, all so that even when they lose, they have it their way. Heads, you lose. Tails, they win.

Just a couple days prior in California, Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is all but certain to run for president, helpfully weighed in on how his party should respond if the coming election to choose his successor results in a Republican win. “We all have agencies,” he said. “We can shape the future. … I don’t anticipate this need to be the case, but there is a break-the-glass scenario. … And there’s many people that have a deep understanding of what it would look like if Democrats were locked out, and we’re gonna do everything to make sure that doesn’t happen. I’ll leave it at that.”

In other words, if a Democrat fails to win the governorship under the state’s existing election rules, the party will attempt to ensure a Democrat is seated as governor anyway. Democracy in action!

They claim they’re protecting democracy, but they’re always willing to abandon it. But, as they find out over and over again, this is a two-way street. Whatever abuse they hope to inflict on their political opponents can just as surely be done back to them.

Google's AI Overviews: Supercharging Leftist Disinformation Ahead of Midterms

If you use Google as a search engine, you've probably noticed Google’s AI Overviews prominently displayed in your search results.

This overview works by crawling publishers’ websites, extracting their original content, and generating concise, AI-written summaries that appear at the very top of search results. These give users a ready-made “answer” without ever clicking through to the source.

As one sharp X post by @Ric_RTP recently framed it, publishers now face an ultimatum: “let us steal your content for free, or become invisible on the internet. That’s extortion.”
That "extortion" is already reshaping the information landscape in real time. Zero-click searches now approach 65 percent, with searches from mobile devices exceeding 75 percent. Google referral traffic to news sites has plummeted, down roughly 33 percent overall last year, with smaller and mid-sized outlets suffering drops as steep as 60 percent. The decades-old bargain that sustained independent journalism whereby publishers create content and Google sends traffic to the publisher with advertising paying the bills is dead. Google simply keeps the ad dollars while publishers bleed out.

For conservative media outlets and the voters who depend on them, this is more than an economic problem. It is an election-integrity crisis unfolding six months before the 2026 midterms.

Consider the midterm information battlefield.

Republicans are defending narrow majorities in the House and Senate in a classic midterm environment. President Trump’s agenda, border security, spending restraint, energy dominance, hangs in the balance. When voters search for facts on mail-in ballot deadlines, early voting rules, candidate records on crime and inflation, or the border crisis, Google’s AI Overviews increasingly deliver the first (and often only) information they see. Fewer Americans ever reach independent or conservative reporting. The result is a tilted playing field that favors the legacy media consensus Google’s model was trained on.

You might correctly ask: how is this distinguishable from monopoly power deciding which facts reach the electorate first? Google is, after all enormous, one of the world’s largest companies by any measure.

Alphabet (Google’s parent) has a market cap of approximately $4.8 trillion as of mid-May 2026, making it one of the top 2-3 most valuable companies globally. Trailing-twelve-month revenue is over $400 billion, with strong growth continuing into 2026.
Google processes roughly 8.5–16.4 billion searches per day (estimates vary by source and methodology, but the scale is immense), representing 90% of the global market, and 84-88% of the U.S. market. Google's largest competitor, MS Bing, has only 5% of the global market, but does have 9-10% of the U.S. market, thanks to Windows and Copilot integration. Bottom line? Google is roughly 18 times larger than Bing in global search share, and all of the remaining competitors are vying for less than a 5% global share.

There’s much more to Google’s dominance than raw market share.

Google secures its position through several interlocking structural advantages that competitors struggle to replicate:

•  Default distribution deals:Google pays Apple roughly $20 billion per year (with similar large payments to Samsung, Mozilla, and others) to remain the pre-installed default search engine on iPhones, Safari, and many Android devices. These agreements lock in most users before they ever make a conscious choice.

•  Ecosystem lock-in: Android (the world’s dominant mobile operating system), Chrome (the leading browser), YouTube, Gmail, Maps, and other services create powerful network effects. Once users are inside Google’s universe, switching becomes inconvenient and rare.

•  Data moat: Billions of daily queries generate an unmatched trove of real-time behavioral and intent data. This fuels superior algorithms and AI training, creating a self-reinforcing cycle: better results attract more users, which produces even more data.

•  Ad-tech dominance: Google controls critical infrastructure across the buy side, sell side, and ad exchange layers of digital advertising. This gives it unmatched scale and pricing power in the ecosystem where it monetizes search traffic.

These moats make it extraordinarily difficult for rivals, even those with technically superior technology, to gain meaningful traction. Size alone doesn’t explain Google’s endurance; it’s the combination of legal defaults, seamless integration, data superiority, and control over the advertising stack that keeps the flywheel spinning. Unfortunately, "spinning" is the underlying threat.

Now consider the left’s orchestrated echo chamber and the AI amplification.

The danger of message amplification through AI is enormous  because the left has long mastered coordinated messaging across its media allies. Talking points become conventional wisdom overnight, with hundreds of outlets parroting identical scripts in near perfect unison.

Consider the Hunter Biden laptop. In October 2020, 51 former intelligence officials coordinated a letter labeling the New York Post’s reporting “Russian disinformation.” The letter was timed with the Biden campaign and amplified in lockstep by CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and social media censors. Polls later confirmed that truthful reporting could have changed the election outcome. The laptop was authentic. The disinformation label was the lie.

Or the relentless “Trump is a threat to democracy” mantra that dominated coverage from 2021 through 2024. The identical phrase appeared simultaneously in cable chyrons, newspaper headlines, Democratic statements, and op-eds across the country. It was not organic, it was manufactured consensus designed to delegitimize opposition.

Google’s AI Overviews take these already-orchestrated campaigns and give them the sheen of neutral, authoritative truth. Trained heavily on legacy media sources, the summaries naturally reflect that echo chamber. Selective sourcing and omission of dissenting facts tilt the scales. Even worse, the AI sometimes simply hallucinates.

Recent examples illustrate the risk. Google’s AI Overviews have suggested putting glue on pizza to keep cheese from sliding off, declared Hulk Hogan dead when he was very much alive, and in political contexts have ironically claimed Barack Obama was the first Muslim president or fabricated dates and events to fit preferred narratives. On high-stakes election queries, these hallucinations do not stay harmless, they can mislead voters in real time when accuracy matters most.

But there's also a broader threat to the republic.

The open web that once allowed dissenting voices to compete on merit is simply being hollowed out. Publishers, especially smaller conservative and independent ones, face layoffs, shuttered newsrooms, and diminished investigative capacity. The electorate’s information diet grows thinner, more uniform, and more vulnerable to manipulation.

Control of the House in 2026 will decide whether Trump’s agenda advances or stalls. Senate races in battleground states will shape the judiciary for years. If Google’s AI continues to siphon traffic and amplify legacy-media consensus, voters will go to the polls with an incomplete and distorted picture, precisely when clear, diverse perspectives are most critical.

Conservatives have never accepted the illusion that Big Tech is neutral. The documented history of search bias and big tech coordination with Democrats, combined with the economic incentives now driving AI Overviews, proves the threat is structural. Concentrated power in Silicon Valley endangers the free exchange of ideas that self-government requires.

The solution is to build alternatives: independent search engines, direct-to-audience models via newsletters and platforms like X, citizen journalism, critical thinking conservative content creators and platforms, and serious antitrust enforcement that actually dismantles monopolies rather than merely regulating its adverse economic effects. Publishers must own their audiences instead of renting space on someone else’s algorithm.

The death spiral @Ric_RTP described is real, but not inevitable. The 2026 midterms offer conservatives a chance to expose this quiet power grab, resist it, and reclaim the information battlefield before another election is quietly shaped by a single company’s version of “the facts.” The future of the republic may well depend on whether we succeed.

Scott Jennings Breaks Down Why the Left Gets So Violent When You Question Them

For years, the Left has told us we have to remove religion — specifically Christianity — from the public sphere. Doing so, they argued, would make us a more enlightened, tolerant, and peaceful society founded on the logical rationality of scientific principles.

Instead, the Left replaced Christianity with its own version of religion, and it has its own tenets, like 'climate change' and transgenderism, and its sacraments, like abortion. The Left violently defends those dogmas whenever they are questioned or challenged, and Scott Jennings spelled it out perfectly.

"I think it seems to me that in Democratic Party and on the Left, there are these different spheres that almost operate like religions," Jennings said. "You know, the abortion cult is kind of, it's a religion. The trans cult is kind of a religion. The climate people are kind of a religion. And inside those religions, you have fanatics. And what's unfortunate, I think, for the Left and for the Democrats is they've allowed these fanatics, who I think are well outside the mainstream, to define who they are."

"I think it's one of the reasons the Democrats have such terrible approval ratings, is because they've allowed people who are extreme in their views on these and other issues, to define them," Jennings continued. "I mean, you look at some of the reasons Kamala Harris lost the Presidential election. I mean, one of them is is that she was sort of trying to pander to these extremist fears of influence, and it just kind of made her seem crazy."

"You look at Joe Biden, who kind of ran as this moderate dealmaker, and he outsourced his entire administration to these extremists," Jennings said. "Look what we learned, by the way, about the Biden Department of Justice recently. They weaponized the Department of Justice against pro-lifers, people who did nothing more than pray on a sidewalk. And they sent the federal prosecutors after them, they treated them like domestic terrorists, they gave them these terrible long sentences in prison. For what? Caring about life? That is fundamentally crazy. Particularly coming from a President who always claimed to be a devout Catholic and so on."

The Biden DOJ also fantasized about prosecuting and jailing nuns who wore the traditional habit, and they've dragged the Little Sisters of the Poor through the courts for a decade. They're also going after the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne over transgender pronouns.

"But that's what happens when you sort of outsource your governing and your party to these people who are absolute fanatics on these issues," Jennings said. "They did same thing with the trans movement. They did the same thing with the climate movement. I mean, they let the fanatics kind of run the policy and it has come to, I think, really dramatically define the Democrats in a very, very negative way. It's hard to have, I think, common ground with people who are fanatics.

This is a very thoughtful assessment of the Democratic Party.

Yes, it is.

The Left believes Islam will take down the West, so they align with it to destroy America. But yes, the violence is a common thread.

And there is no forgiveness or salvation to the Left.

That, and that there are only two genders, or that eating bugs won't change the climate.

The Extraordinary and the Resented

The Extraordinary and the Resented

Abe Greenwald for Commentary Magazine

This week, I had a discussion with an Israeli friend about the Eurovision song contest. It’s hard for me to overstate how little I care about Eurovision (or much of anything beginning with the prefix “Euro” or ending with the suffix “vision”). The music is groundbreakingly bad, the performances are desperately campy, and the attending crowds chant for Jewish blood.

All of which is to say, the contest is, in the end, a pretty accurate representation of Europe’s vision.

My Israeli friend’s point was that Israel just wants to be treated like a normal country, and Western liberal opinion is making that impossible these days. The anti-Israel protests at Eurovision are but one poignant example. “But Israel is not a normal country,” I said. “It’s an extraordinary one.”

I can hardly blame Israelis for wanting to be left in peace when they travel abroad and wanting to be accepted into international competitions and festivals. They want to be treated as human beings.

I want all those things for them as well. Given the cyclical nature of history, the global surge in anti-Semitism is sure to wind down. And until that happens, I will do my part to hasten it.

But I don’t expect Israel ever to be treated like a normal country. Just as I don’t expect that for the United States. Nor do I aspire to see it happen. If either nation is ever thought of as just another country, it will mean that it has become as weak and compromised as all the rest. That would be a world-historic tragedy.

What does one even mean by “a normal country”? My guess is that they mean something vaguely like the late-20th-century idea of a Western European country: free, modern, democratically governed, well-meaning but proud, and culturally distinct.

Well, those countries are not so normal anymore. They’re still relatively free, provided you’re not visibly Jewish. If you are, freedom comes with dangerous new risks—and that’s not freedom at all. In some instances, such as in Birmingham, England, Jews are told to stay away from certain recreational events for their own safety. It’s hard to call these countries modern or democratic when primitive mobs in the minority hold veto power. Elected government, having handed over such power, can no longer be called well-meaning. European leaders didn’t endorse a nonexistent Palestinian state out of benevolence. They sought to appease terrorist supporters out of political desperation. As for their being culturally distinct, these countries are being remade, day by day, in the same dreary image. Whether it’s England or Belgium or the Netherlands, the scene is straight out of a raging Islamist backwater. To the extent that the backsliding nations of Europe remain proud, it’s a pathology.

That’s what becomes of normal countries. They don’t stand for humane ideas, defend essential principles, or take up the mantle of moral leadership. So how are they treated? Like suckers. Their moral cowardice invites ruin.

Then there’s Israel and the United States, both of which continue to do all three. Both are moral nations founded on transcendent ideas. And both, unlike their European counterparts, are thriving. This humiliation ordinary countries cannot forgive. There is a price to being extraordinary.

Newly Released Trump Border Numbers Further Expose Full Scale of Biden’s Border Crisis

RedState

In April 2026, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recorded 8,943 apprehensions for the entire month. In December 2023, at the peak of Joe Biden's open-borders disaster, agents were logging 336 illegal crossings every single hour.  At that rate, Biden's Border Patrol was processing the same number in just over a day that Trump's agents processed in all of April. That's not a policy difference. That's a different country.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported Friday that the U.S. Border Patrol has now gone a full year, twelve straight months, without releasing a single illegal immigrant into the country, while illegal crossings have collapsed to levels not seen since the early 1990s.

"Twelve straight months of ZERO releases at the border. Under President Donald Trump's leadership, we are delivering the most secure border in American history," DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said. "The days of catch and release are over."

Border Patrol recorded 8,943 southwest border apprehensions in April 2026, a 94 percent drop from Biden-era monthly averages and 96 percent below the December 2023 peak. At Biden's December 2023 pace, agents were processing the same number in roughly 27 hours that Trump's Border Patrol apprehended in all of April

"The U.S. Border Patrol released zero illegal aliens into our country again this month, unlike April 2024 when more than 68,000 were released under President Biden," said CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott. "Every minute of every day President Trump's border security policies are making every American safer."

DHS said total southwest border apprehensions for the entire fiscal year through April were lower than the average for a single month going back to 1992. The entire fiscal year. Less than one average month, across three decades of data. CBP processed $312 billion in imports in April and identified $21.6 billion in duties for collection, enforcement that goes well past the border line itself.

Fewer people crossing means agents can focus on what's actually coming through. Nationwide seizures of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, and fentanyl increased 60 percent compared to April 2024. Heroin seizures jumped 73 percent from March alone. Methamphetamine was up 63 percent. CBP seized 463 pounds of fentanyl in April, enough to kill millions of Americans, before it ever reached a community.

Illegal immigration was the defining issue of the 2024 election, and Trump's argument was simple: the border crisis wasn't some unavoidable humanitarian catastrophe; it was a choice. Biden and Kamala Harris chose to let it happen.

Two years ago, we were told the border couldn't be fixed without a full act of Congress. We were told mass releases were just how the system worked. We were told migration was driven by forces in Central America that no president could touch. Twelve months of unbroken results say otherwise.

Fifteen consecutive months of fewer than 9,000 southwest border apprehensions. Daily crossings down 95 percent. A full year without a single illegal immigrant walking into the interior. The left spent four years telling you this was impossible. It wasn't. It just required a president who actually wanted to fix it.
