You Can’t Out-MAGA Donald Trump

Why won’t you MAGA people cooperate and freak out? Why won’t you accept that America is not only being defeated by the Iranians, but that Tel Aviv is on fire, that our ships are sinking, that we’re running out of bullets, and that everything is going to hell? I mean, sure, your lifetime of experience shows you that none of this is true, and you would be well aware that seventh-century savages from the Middle East are utterly incapable of competing against American or Israeli technology, martial skills, and firepower – exponentially less so when both of them are fully integrated, synchronized, and combined. But hey, you should still believe it anyway because, if you don’t, you clearly want to die for Israel or something.

You MAGA people also fail to understand that this campaign is a giant war crime, according to the same people who are also experts on COVID, tariffs, immigration law, and every other subject that happens to get raised on social media. I was just a Fortune 500 lawyer for 30 years, an Army colonel, and a graduate of the Army War College, but you know, I defer to the experience of @TurgidMassieLibertarian69 and his contention that you’re not allowed to attack an enemy frigate on the high seas because of reasons, and shut up, you love Israel.

Oh yeah, we’re not supposed to die for Israel, according to a vast number of bots. It’s not clear what we are supposed to die for, and, frankly, we haven’t been doing that much dying at all lately. We lost six troops, and that’s awful – I’ve been there when we’ve lost soldiers, unlike most of the human dildos who are pretending to care about these casualties, so we can play the “Who cares more?” game if they like. But in World War II, there were single bursts of MG42 machine gun fire that killed more Americans than that. The notion that we could lose just six KIA in a war where we essentially decapitate the entire enemy government, wipe out its integrated air defense system, and systematically annihilate its ability to project combat power on land, sea, and air in about 48 hours is an astonishing achievement unprecedented in the annals of war. But, of course, the dumb people commenting on it haven’t studied the annals of war. All they’ve studied are Reddit and the tweets of fellow mental defectives.

Yeah, there are critics of the war who do know what they’re talking about, and they deserve to have their views considered carefully. Some are my friends, and they’re still my friends because I know their concerns come from a place of patriotism, not ignorance or grift. When someone intelligent tells you something different than what you think, you should listen, even if you don’t eventually accept his point of view. But the problem here is fake smart people.

I am informed by all the fake smart people that this war is destroying the MAGA coalition, that America First is going down the tubes, not because Donald Trump has started a war, but because he has initiated the process of finishing a war started by degenerate freaks who’ve been maiming and murdering Americans for 47 years. You know, there’s nothing that American First voters hate more than whacking people who have blown apart and killed thousands of Americans. Or at least, that’s what they tell you. “I didn’t vote for another forever war!” they bleat. Newsflash – none of us did. Another newsflash – this isn’t a forever war. This is going to go on for a little while, and then we’re going to win it when somebody emerges to take over who’s not going to carry on the jihad against us.

And guess what happens when we win it? Well, then we’ve won. And nothing succeeds like success.

But wait, the stock market is experiencing jitters! The Dow is not at 50,000 anymore! It’s only at 48,000! Oh no, there goes my walk-in humidor. And wait, the price of oil went up $10! Oh man, all the climate change hoaxers are really upset because fossil fuel is less affordable – wait what? And you know what’s going to happen soon to the price of oil? It’s going to go down again. The war is going to be over, and the oil is going to be flowing freely, and they’re going to be blubbering that it’s too darn cheap.

The critics act like these risks never occurred to Trump, as if no one in the entire administration imagined that the enemy might try to close the Straits of Hormuz, or that the stock market might get jittery. Man, nobody saw that coming, nobody except some Internet rando tweeting from the basement of his mom‘s townhouse in Bumtugger, Illinois! My favorite newsflash of the pre-war era was the startling disclosure that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff had explained to Donald Trump that there are risks that Trump should consider when deciding whether to launch the strikes, as if a senior general warning the commander-in-chief about potential suboptimal outcomes were some unprecedented phenomenon unknown within the history of warfare. Who knew that competent senior officers might tell their boss how things could possibly go wrong? Well, anybody who’s ever served, or anybody who has not served but is not a drooling clinical moron.

Yes, Donald Trump was aware of the risks. He weighed them against the benefits and found the benefits sufficient to justify his bold, decisive action to lance this boil on the booty of the Middle East. Iran is not only a problem for the United States; it’s a problem for the whole world because Iran is in a tacit alliance with the Chinese. Iranian oil fuels the ChiComs. At the end of this conflict, we’re going to have our hands on Kharg Island and the Far East petrol spigot, which means we’ve got our hands around the throats of Xi and his Marxist cabal. No oil, no China. Yeah, they’ve got some supplies laid in. They can survive for a little while, and then everything shuts down. Maybe they can capture Taiwan before their stockpiles run out, or maybe not, but it doesn’t really matter. The stockpiles are going to run out eventually, and then the cars, trucks, and trains are going to stop, and the Chinese people are going to start starving. If you know anything about history – and very few people associated with social media know anything about history – you know that the Chinese people get very, very revolutionary when they get very, very hungry.

Of course, by the time the CCP gets its comeuppance, the Cuban commies will have experienced their comeuppance. Some comeuppance is in order for Nicaragua, too. There’s a lot of comeuppance coming, and the MAGA folks are all here for it. Look at the polling. 82 percent of Trump 2024 voters are 100 percent behind Donald Trump on Iran. You would not know that from social media, because every pretender, grifter, fake, fraud, and puppet – sock and otherwise – is busy telling you how the MAGA coalition is falling apart. Oh no, we’ve lost Nick Fuentes, the avatar of the key sexually ambiguous midget demographic! Oh no, Candace Owens has taken a break from explaining how the saucer people and reverse vampires kidnapped Charlie Kirk and replaced him with a clone in conjunction with Erika Kirk and the Trilateral Commission to demand that our soldiers not fight because of the Jews or something. It’s always the Jews or something with these idiots. And Tucker? I just feel bad for Tucker. I like Tucker, and I think he’s had a mental break. I sincerely hope he gets the help he needs because what’s coming out of his mouth is simply crazy talk.

Even Donald Trump has had enough of these nuts, goofs, and demons. How do you argue that a bunch of aspiring social media choose-me-types are more MAGA than Mr. MAGA himself? Look, you can like Donald Trump, or you can not like Donald Trump, or you could’ve once liked Donald Trump and then stopped liking Donald Trump because somebody gave you a few hundred bucks, and that’s what your dignity costs, but at the end of the day, there is no MAGA without Donald Trump. He is simply the man. And, if you don’t agree with him, you’re not MAGA. You’re not America First. You’re probably some Democrat communist, sexually inadequate Never Trumper, an even more sexually inadequate libertarian, or some other brand of creep with a sketchy browser history, but, regardless, you don’t matter to MAGA.

Donald Trump understands the risk he’s taking for doing the right thing by ending this threat to the United States. Take a moment to think about what would happen if these apocalyptic jihadi perverts could stick a hot rock on top of a ballistic missile that could reach the United States. The same people crying and whining now like little female dog puppies would be crying and whining like little female dog puppies over the mushroom cloud rising above their hometown – though note that female dog puppies are loveable and should not be sent to Gitmo. Donald Trump is doing what has to be done, which is what men do, and that explains a lot why some of the male-identifying fake America Firsters are so upset. His manhood shames them. And it should.

Maybe his courageous actions will hurt Trump in the midterms. Maybe people will remember our inevitable victory over the mullahs as something to regret, instead of celebrate, in contradiction to all human nature and experience. Or maybe the economy won’t improve as much as we hope. Maybe people will be mad about which of the two flawed candidates for the Texas Senate Trump had to choose when he felt forced to choose between them in order to avoid a massive waste of money and a potential lost seat. Maybe people will completely forget how he closed the border, crushed DEI, got rid of the climate hoax, annihilated NPR, and kept countless other promises that Republicans have been making to us for years and yet have never kept.

Maybe.

But Trump's betting that we won’t forget all the winning. He’s betting that he will succeed and that America is going to be with him in the midterms. The smart money says that you should probably bet that way, too.

Podcast thread for March 9

Busy day.

America Needs a New Class of Leaders

In the United States — and the civilizational “West” more broadly — we are a society divided by slogans, propaganda, and social media memes.  It is an unfortunate part of our present reality that we no longer engage in honest “public debate.”  We haven’t done so for a very long time.

The Founding Fathers wrote essays and pamphlets and delivered hours-long speeches during which they articulated the reasons for their beliefs.  We get pink-hatted people — who may or may not identify as women — “shouting their abortions.”  We get automatons screaming, “Black lives matter,” “Free Palestine,” “Trump is Hitler,” “Hands off Iran,” and whatever other mindless chants billionaire-funded NGOs churn out.

If you approach people yelling these things and ask them why they believe what they believe, they have no idea.  They can’t explain why “all human lives,” more generally, shouldn’t matter just as much as those with dark skin.  They don’t know anything about Israel’s ancient history, the United Kingdom and France’s colonial carving of the Middle East, the Soviet Union’s promotion of a “Palestinian” identity to cause the United States and its allies problems during the Cold War, any of the multitude of ways that the international community has broken its promises to the Israeli government for the last century, or how the United Nations has spent most of its existence targeting Israel for alleged “human rights” abuses while ignoring unspeakable evils committed by far too many regimes in power today.  They can’t explain why illegal aliens are breaking into America if “Trump is Hitler” or why the president’s determination to protect American citizens from foreign nationals by paying for those foreigners’ return to their own countries is somehow equivalent to Nazi atrocities that included the mass murder of six million Jews and millions of Soviets, Poles, Romani, disabled people, and other so-called “undesirables.”  They don’t have any idea why Iran’s theocratic tyrants and Islamic terrorists deserve to be protected when those tyrants and terrorists have killed, maimed, and kidnapped Americans, Europeans, and Jews around the world for nearly fifty years.

Our ancestors benefited from Thomas Paine’s polemical pamphlets in favor of American independence.  They listened to Sam Adams’s fiery arguments for revolution.  They attended church services where they heard political exhortations from learned men delivering passionate sermons.  They read newspaper editorials and political essays aloud while drinking ale in local taverns.  Common people heard and debated uncommon ideas that birthed a new nation and altered the historic trajectory of the world.

We, on the other hand, get hypocrites such as Senator Chuck Schumer, who was last year telling Americans that President Trump was “chickening out” on holding Iran’s Islamic regime accountable for nuclear saber-rattling before telling Americans this year that Trump has no business holding Iran’s Islamic regime accountable for its nuclear saber-rattling.  We get Democrats calling federal law enforcement agents “Trump’s Gestapo” because those agents put their lives on the line arresting criminal illegal aliens — including murderers, rapists, and other violent felons.  We get apocalyptic doomsayers such as Al Gore and Barack Obama who have told us that the “science” of “climate change” is “settled,” even though nothing those frauds have predicted has ever come true.  We get public school teachers indoctrinating students with ridiculously false ideas, such as (1) biological sex isn’t real; (2) the January 6, 2021 protest for election integrity was worse than the 9/11 Islamic terror attacks, the Pearl Harbor attack, and the Civil War all wrapped up together; (3) Muslims built America; and (4) America has never been more racist, fascist, or authoritarian than it is today.  We get a left-wing corporate news media establishment pushing the ludicrous argument that requiring voter identification (a basic electoral safeguard enforced around the world) is both racist and an impossible burden for legal voters to surmount (even though Americans must present valid ID to board planes, buy liquor, and enter government buildings).

Notice that these sources of misinformation never advance anything that remotely resembles a rational argument.  Democrats don’t explain why they used to consider Iran a major national security threat but no longer do.  They don’t explain why it’s perfectly reasonable to attack federal law enforcement officers arresting criminal illegal aliens, even though they’ve spent five years calling the January 6 election protest an unacceptable “attack” on cops.  Barack Obama and other wealthy “global warming” fanatics can’t explain why they own expensive beachfront homes if those homes will soon be under water.  Democrats can’t explain why it’s too difficult for their voters to get photo IDs, or why boys should undress in girls’ locker rooms, or why white men are a “viral disease,” or why all of their political opponents are “racist, fascist Nazis.”

All of these false statements are simply represented as undisputed “facts” that cannot be questioned.  As a kind of “political correctness” tripwire meant to ensure that these false ideas are never questioned, Democrats further insist that anyone asking questions must be a “racist, fascist Nazi,” too.  Rational argument no longer exists.  In its place, Democrats give us name-calling, self-censorship, circular reasoning, and empty tautology.

America is very divided today.  For most of its two-hundred-and-fifty-year history, though, America has been divided.  It was birthed in revolution.  It survived numerous attacks from foreign powers while still in its infancy.  It grew up through radical social change, profound technological innovation, and endless waves of immigration.  It has gone to war against itself, and it has gone to war against the world.  It has endured hardships that have destroyed other nations.  Nevertheless, its people have persevered, united, settled the wild frontier, built a continent, and prospered.  We look over our shoulders and applaud American achievement without reflecting on our near escapes from American disaster.

Division does not signal disaster.  Division is also opportunity.  When societies are forced to confront great change, some wilt, while others rise to the occasion.  America has been blessed with rare resilience.  Our nation is unique in human history because it is predicated on the still revolutionary principle that legitimate political power originates with the people.  We do not look to kings to tell us what we may or may not do.  As our rights come directly from God, aristocrats just get in the way.  Our institutions matter not because they are invested with power over us, but rather because we have lent those institutions some of our inherent powers so that they can properly defend our inherent rights.  Neither presidents nor congresses nor corporations can grant us what is already ours.

It is with this understanding of our natural rights in mind that I encourage everyone to protect those rights personally.  Read, learn, debate, and most importantly don’t give up just because giving up is in fashion these days.  This country has been through far worse and survived.  People who tell you that this is the end for America have a vested interest in seeing America end.  Those stubborn enough to resist will ensure that our country lives.

To be sure, we deserve more than slogans, propaganda, and memes.  We deserve civic leaders who can speak in complete sentences.  We deserve members of Congress who can introduce cogent arguments — supported by salient facts and not calumnies, falsehoods, or red herrings.  We deserve a new generation of leaders who remind us of Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, Sam Adams, and George Washington.  Perhaps they already move among us.

Do not mistake division for disease.  Division is the engine that often spawns greatness.  What we require is discernment.  We require wisdom.  We require courage.  We require leadership.  We require renewed faith in God’s grace.  These are not always in abundant supply.  But they are very American things.

Democrats and the Stench of Desperation

You’d think the former President’s name would be mud in the fundraising game, considering how awful he was and how he left the national stage, but you’d be wrong. A farmer will milk any cow, no matter how old and decrepit, if all the other cows are running dry.

In an email from “Joe Biden Announcment,” the Democrats wrote, “WOW, this is incredible! After President Biden called on us to come together and stand up to the MAGA Billionaires trying to buy our democracy, Democrats nationwide organized to fight back! Now political experts shifted a STUNNING 18 races in Democrats' favor!! This is our chance to flip control of the House and put power back in the hands of working people and families — but ONLY if we act quickly to capitalize on this momentum. So please: Will you rush $3 to the DCCC to answer President Biden's call and help flip the House blue?”

What was the “announcement”? A picture of Biden with the words, “An oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that really threatens our entire democracy.”

The quote is from January of 2025, just four days before Joe left office, when he was in the midst of a panicked temper tantrum on his way out the door. Not the most inspirational time for a senile old fart.

At the same time, the DNC was also begging for money by claiming they needed a big number in March to show strength in November. How that circle gets squared is a mystery.

They write, “Our first end-of-quarter fundraising deadline this year is coming up at the end of the month — our most important deadline since the 2024 election. Once it passes, we’ll be required to report what we’ve raised over the last few months. Here’s the truth: Everyone will be looking at that number to gauge whether Democrats are on track to win or lose in November. If we submit a report with lots of donations, we’ll be sending a clear message to Trump and his allies across the country that the American people are against their disastrous agenda, and they’re prepared to take back the House and the Senate in November. That’s why this deadline matters so much.”

The more people they sucker out of a few bucks, the more Republicans will be scared! Are you scared yet? Does it not scare you that a bunch of people who don’t know any better than to think Democrats are looking out for them are happy to have them add a little more debt to their high-interest credit cards? What’s a little more debt in a world of living paycheck to paycheck?

Yes, Democrats are that desperate and that evil. And worst of all, this desperate manipulation actually works on some people.

The resurgence of antisemitism in Western Europe: Echoes of history and the erosion of civilizational resolve.

In the aftermath of the Holocaust, decrying the infernal machinery of antisemitism, Western Europe proclaimed: “Never again.” Thus, reconstructed on the scaffolds of democracy, human rights, and enforced remembrance, the war-torn societies appeared immune to the ideological epidemic that nearly uprooted civilization after the Nazi seizure of power in 1933.

Yet, as the 21st century descends into deeper twilight, a malignant resurgence of racial conspiracism has metastasized, tragically evident in militarized barricades around synagogues, ferocious chants by marching protesters, and censorship in academia.

The contemporary surge in antisemitism arises not only from exogenous poisons but also from endogenous corruption: the willful erasure of historical memory, the apostasy from Christian roots, and the capitulation to a pernicious alliance of socialist and Islamist forces. Paralleling the Nazi epoch’s depravities, unchecked mass immigration, pedagogical incompetence, and doctrinal subversion have conspired to dismantle the Judeo-Christian edifice of Western civilization—a foundation profoundly infused with Jewish theology and philosophy, from monotheistic imperatives to ethical dialectics sustaining law, morality, and existential inquiry.

Despite the temptation to mourn the improbable revival of intellectual resilience in an age of creeping barbarism, it remains a moral imperative to expose the sociopolitical mechanisms propelling decay and forewarn of its inexorable momentum towards civilizational collapse.

For generations, the fortification of Jewish enclaves in Western Europe—patrolled by armed sentinels and shrouded in perpetual vigilance—has symbolized the unresolved specter of geopolitical malice. Warlike defenses were initially designed to counter socialist-revolutionary terrorism launched by Arabs post-1948. Thus, the 1970s and 1980s saw a wave of aircraft hijackings and murderous attacks on civilian targets. Tellingly, those outrages blurred the veil between anti-Zionism and antisemitism. The terrain has since mutated grotesquely with the influx of millions from Muslim-dominant realms in the Middle East, North Africa, and Anatolia.

Amid sporadic integration triumphs, a virulent strain of antisemitism has been transplanted, drawn from archaic Islamic scriptures and folklore that demonize Jews as eternal adversaries. This iteration, laced with apocalyptic rhetoric and calls for annihilation, mirrors the Nazi’s genocidal fervor, albeit shorn of its eugenic pseudoscience. Anti-Defamation League surveys from the 2010s proved elevated antisemitic prejudices among Muslim immigrant cohorts relative to indigenous Europeans.

The transition from imported terror to endemic animosity signifies a cunning metamorphosis. No longer the domain of distant operatives, antisemitism now festers in quotidian harassment, exacerbated by demographic shifts that embed alien enclaves within a desecrated post-Christian landscape. The outcome is a toxic fusion of resentments: anti-Zionism as a facade for primordial hatreds, magnified by digital echo chambers and transnational propaganda networks.

Post-WWII Europe armored itself through civic pedagogy to repel fascist resurgence. Curricula enshrined the heroic narrative of Allied virtue poised against Axis iniquity, venerating resistance martyrs and immortalizing Holocaust horrors through testimonies, cinema, and sanctuaries like Yad Vashem and Auschwitz. Idealistic endeavors were undertaken to thwart mnemonic decay, ostensibly rendering a relapse into 1930s antisemitic delirium inconceivable.

Yet, modern Westerners manifest a profound intellectual decrepitude—a blend of historical oblivion, supine indolence, and moral cowardice. The forsaking of Christianity, once the spiritual sinew of the European ethos, has excavated a chasm of meaninglessness. Oblivious masses ignore that Christianity germinated in the Levant, east of the Bosphorus and south of the Mediterranean, antedating Islam’s 7th-century incursions. This negligence severs the Judeo-Christian nexus, a continuum where Jewish theology—monotheism’s unyielding assertion of a singular, ethical deity—infused Christian doctrine, shaping Western notions of justice, redemption, and human dignity.

Harmoniously integrated with Roman codices, the imperatives of the Decalogue underpin Enlightenment charters, while prophetic traditions of social equity echo in modern welfare states and human rights discourses. Jewish philosophy, from Philo’s Hellenistic syntheses to Maimonides’s rationalist harmonization of faith and reason, profoundly influenced Aquinas and scholasticism, laying groundwork for empirical inquiry and ethical philosophy. Spinoza’s pantheistic critiques prefigured secular humanism, permeating thinkers like Hegel and Nietzsche, thus weaving Judaism’s intellectual threads into the fabric of Western rationality. Historical negationism not only hollows out cultural identity but also invites predatory ideologies to fill the void, distorting reality into a nihilistic haze.

Aggravating this malaise is the moral corruption of academia, where socialist-Islamist cadres—as ideologically depraved as they are indifferent to the truth—disseminate fictions portraying Jews as “white Eastern European interlopers.” This mendacious caricature effaces the mosaic of Ashkenazi, Sephardic, and Mizrahi heritages, equating Zionism with rapacious imperialism. Likewise, the Crusades—reactive countermeasures to Islamic encroachments on Byzantine territories—are perversely reframed as harbingers of 19th-century African and Asian subjugation, disregarding the historical context of Seljuk aggressions.

Propagandistic distortions exploit lingering post-colonial remorse, artfully inverting oppressor-victim dichotomies. They thrive amid cultural relativism’s miasma, where Western introspection devolves into masochistic abnegation, sapping the resolve to uphold liberal precepts. The fallout manifests in the waning potency of Holocaust pedagogy. A 2020s report from the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights documented escalating youth ignorance, inextricably linked to proliferating antisemitic outrages.

The erosion of Western civilization accelerates thanks to the unopposed incursions of doctrinal foes. The alliance of socialists and Islamists—bonded by anti-capitalist venom and anti-Western zeal—proliferates unchecked. Historical precedents abound: during the Nazi era, the regime forged unholy pacts with Islamist figures, notably the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, who collaborated with Hitler in 1941, endorsing the Final Solution and recruiting Bosnian Muslim SS divisions to perpetuate antisemitic atrocities. This alliance presaged today’s coalitions, blending totalitarian ideologies in mutual antipathy towards Jewish existence.

Since 10/7, this cabal has inflamed university insurgencies across the West, evoking the spectral fervor of Nazi student leagues. In 1933, undergraduates and brownshirts incinerated volumes by Jewish luminaries like Heine and Freud, exorcising “corrupt” intellects. Contemporaneously, parallel purges unfold: embargoes on Israeli scholars, sabotage of Jewish orators, and clamor for divestment from Israel. Urban demonstrations in London, Paris, and Berlin resound with incantations like “From the river to the sea,” widely decoded as euphemisms for Jewish obliteration.

These agitations fuel vandalism and sadism in public. Jews increasingly conceal emblems such as kippot or Magen Davids, ensnared in a web of dread. Post-10/7 spikes were cataclysmic: Germany’s 300% escalation in antisemitic offenses; France’s synagogue desecrations and juvenile torments. This replicates the pre-Kristallnacht harassment of the 1930s, where societal inertia paved the way for pogroms.

Cunningly, the anti-Western alliance exploits virtual realms and petrodollar infusions from Gulf autocracies (e.g., Qatar’s endowments for professorial sinecures) to propagate calumnies. The deluge of Muslim migrants from Africa and the East, while “diversifying” societies, has surreptitiously sown unrefined bigotries, unmitigated by feeble assimilation strategies. Consequently, the Judeo-Christian ethos—resilient against Islamic hegemonies, Nazism, and Soviet tyranny—now gasps under ideological asphyxiation, its philosophical legacies from Jewish sages imperiled.

Western Europe hurtles towards a dystopian veto on Jewish intellectual patrimony. An era is anticipated where perusing Maimonides’s theological reconciliations, Spinoza’s ethical deconstructions or Husserl’s phenomenological foundations—pivotal to existentialism and cognitive science—incurs charges of “cultural insensitivity.” Allusions to Einstein’s relativity, Bohr’s quantum mechanics or Oppenheimer’s atomic ethics might provoke indictments of perpetuating “imperialist” epistemes. Literary masterpieces by Kafka, Zweig or Singer, delving into alienation’s abysses, could succumb to digital bonfires mirroring 1933’s conflagrations.

This pessimistic prognosis is far from phantasm; “decolonization” campaigns already vivisect curricula, marginalizing Western luminaries. Thugs—emboldened rioters and cyber-vigilantes—enforce anti-Western orthodoxy through terror. The fragile equilibrium of Judeo-Christian civilization, tempered in forges of adversity, crumbles beneath this relentless siege, portending a return to medieval darkness.

Nevertheless, this doom was never predestined, though optimism wanes in the face of entrenched betrayal. The adversaries’ triumphs derive from Western forfeiture, not invincible prowess. A calculated counteroffensive would involve resuscitating mnemonic education, reasserting Judeo-Christian axioms sans bigotry, and cultivating discourse.

The resurgence of antisemitism in Western Europe heralds a civilizational nadir, steeped in migratory upheavals and amplified by demoralization: amnesia, spiritual desertion, and ideological capitulation (defeatism). Echoing Nazi archetypes, yet innovating through hybrid cabals, evil has surged since 10/7, auguring scholarly expurgations and liberties’ demise.

History whispers that fortitude might yet avert collapse. However, such reclamation appears a fading mirage. By siding with the oppressors instead of the victims and avoiding the showdown with evil, Western Europe courts the ghosts of yesteryear’s cataclysms, affirming that apathy is the supreme artisan of annihilation.

Just Who Is Our Soon-to-Be New DHS Secretary? Markwayne Mullin Has a Heckuva Backstory

With Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s tenure set to end on March 31 after President Trump sacked her and gave her a new gig as the Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas, all eyes turn to the president’s choice to replace her, Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK).

The guy is certainly not boring.

He is only the second Mixed Martial Arts fighter to ever serve in Congress. Mullin wrestled in college and then went on to MMA, where he had an undefeated record of 5-0. Believe me, I wanted to find video of him in the ring and bring it to you, the reader, but unfortunately, there do not seem to be any clips available online.

News to me: Rep. Sharice Davids (KS-13) also has a professional mixed martial arts stint on her resume.

Here’s a brief rundown of Mullin’s business and political careers from his official Senate website [emphasis his]:

Senator Markwayne Mullin is a successful business owner, working cow-calf rancher, and proud husband of 28 years to Mrs. Christie Mullin, and together the two are parents to six wonderful children: Jayce, Jim, Andrew, Larra, Ivy, and Lynette.

Mullin was sworn into office on January 3rd, 2023, following ten years of service to Oklahoma in the U.S. House of Representatives. A lifelong Oklahoman, Senator Mullin grew up on his family’s ranch in Westville where he and his family still reside to this day.

A graduate of Stilwell High School, Mullin went on to attend Missouri Valley College on a wrestling scholarship until the age of 20 years old. At that time, Senator Mullin’s father, Jim, fell ill, and Mullin and his recent bride Christie postponed studies to save the family business, Mullin Plumbing.

Here’s how the snotty elitist press treats his successful career. MS NOW producer Kyle Griffin sneered at Mullin’s accomplishments by noting, “Markwayne Mullin looks to be the only currently serving senator without at least a bachelor's degree.”

Many recent college graduates are struggling to find jobs at Starbucks, but Mullin went on to build multiple successful businesses:

Over the past 28 years, Markwayne and Christie Mullin have expanded Mullin Plumbing to become the largest service company in the region, and along the way founded numerous other successful companies ranging from Mullin Environmental to Rowan’s Steakhouse, the latter a bustling restaurant in the neighboring town of Stilwell and named for Christie’s family.

And you, Kyle, you’re a producer at a failing, widely mocked leftist news outlet? In the words of Shania Twain, “that don’t impress me much.”

Also, Mullin did get what sounds like a pretty impressive — and useful — Applied Science in Construction Technology degree from the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology.

Oh.

Meanwhile, the senator is an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation and is only the second with that background to serve in the Senate. He also sits on numerous committees.

Mullin is strongly aligned with the president’s border policies and his success in shutting down the Joe Biden illegal alien tsunami at our southern border.

But he’s also known for numerous viral exchanges at congressional hearings:

Perhaps his most memorable moment came on November 14, 2023, during a Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP) Committee hearing when he challenged Teamsters president Sean O’Brien to a fight.

Mullin was ticked off about O’Brien’s social media posts that deemed Markwayne a “clown” and a “fraud”:

More recently, as RedState’s Rusty Weiss reported, he lit into Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) as they debated healthcare in a February Senate hearing:

But the question all inquiring minds want to get an answer to is: Where in the heck did he get the name Markwayne? Turns out it’s a blending of family monikers — those names being Mark and Wayne, of course, who were two of his uncles. Although his mother had put both names on the birth certificate, she had always planned to clean that up in due course, but just never got around to it.

Now it’s stuck.

There you have it. He is certainly an interesting guy. One thing is for sure: his tenure at DHS, assuming he receives Senate confirmation, is unlikely to be boring.

The Curious Case of 'Anti-Zionists'

The Curious Case of 'Anti-Zionists'

"Zionism" is basically the right of the Jewish nation to live in its ancestral home -- the land promised them in millennia past. Nothing more, nothing less. The safe haven of this tiny piece of land -- roughly 22,000 sq. km., about the same as the state of New Jersey - is therefore irreversibly important. Image source: NASA JPL (2020) via Getty Images

Israel is a spiritual, multi-ethnic, hard-working nation – one founded on nearly four millennia of persecution, leavened by a divine covenant that imparted an enduring national and moral identity on its people.

The dramatic events at Mt. Sinai, when the twelve tribes received the Torah with its 613 laws, established not only religious principles but a collective social identity coupled with an allocation of land in perpetuity. It was only when rooted in the promised land itself that the Jewish people could truly become a nation of destiny.

The patriarchs AbrahamIsaac, and Jacob each received a divine promise of land -- the boundaries of which were surprisingly specific. Today, while Israel occupies only a small portion of that promised land, this tiny bit remains central to Jews worldwide. Israel is regarded by the Jewish nation in general as "holy" land – donated exclusively to the Jews by the Creator. It is considered a mitzvah – a command – for them to dwell there: "You shall possess the land," the biblical verse reads, "and dwell in it."

Jewish history and identity -- national, social, and personal -- is inextricably bound to Eretz Yisrael: the Land of Israel. It is almost beyond comprehension, therefore, for a Jew to denigrate fellow Jews who support the right of their people to live in Eretz Yisrael. When people, including Jews, negate the right of Israel to exist as a state, such an attitude contradicts not only the fundaments of Judaism, but the core of humanitarian compassion.

The journalist Caroline Glick framed this view as follows: "It is the resurrection of strategic independence — of Zionism — that will secure Israel's future for the next hundred years."

Yet, it has become common for others to denigrate Israel's right even to exist.

In such instances, it has become clear that hostile ideology trumps history, fundamental principles of faith, and basic humanitarian compassion for those Jews who seek sanctuary after centuries of pogroms, genocide, blatant discrimination, prejudice and hatred when their forebears lived among hostile nations. Can such adversaries even be considered credible? It is obvious they have lost much acceptability, including the right to speak on behalf of others, for they have aligned themselves with terrorists and other enemies of Western civilization.

Sadly, pursuant to October 7, 2023, even some supposedly "Jewish" anti-Zionist groups such as J Street and New York Jewish Agenda, according to journalist Jonathan Tobin, "supported the efforts of those who sought to prevent Israel from attacking Hamas and Iran." The world appears already to have forgotten that when Jews were pushed into the gas chambers of Auschwitz-BirkenauTreblinka and other death camps, no one first asked them if they were observant or secular, leftist or conservative, Orthodox or Reform, Zionist or anti-Zionist.

Writing about Phylisa Wisdom, the left-wing activist whom New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani appointed to head the city's "Office to Combat Antisemitism," Tobin remarked that her appointment "symbolizes what has happened to the idea of 'liberal Zionism' in the 21st century."

"If acting and speaking as she has done is what it means to be a liberal Zionist today, then a real disconnect exists. It's not merely time to realize that the phrase has lost its original meaning; instead, we must understand that those who have appropriated that label are neither Zionist nor authentically liberal."

In plain words, they are fake supporters of freedom and justice and should be considered "fake humanitarians"– meaning, detached from their imaginary core identity of supposedly embodying virtue, and instead embracing terrorists, terrorism, and the organizations that espouse and fund them.

Israel, like every country, may not be perfect, but in the accusations they make against it, Israel's enemies feel the need to lie. They accuse Israelis of being "settlers" or "colonialists," meanwhile managing to block out that, on the contrary, it was Muslim armies that invaded, conquered, "colonized" and "settled" much of the planet. Examples, just in the West, include the great Christian Byzantine Empire, Christian Coptic EgyptIberiaEurope, and, in 1974, northern Cyprus, among other victims. France, for instance, was only saved from the invading Muslim armies by Charles Martel at the Battle of Tours in 732 CE.

Other lies currently floated include allegations that Israel is a racist or apartheid state; that Israel occupies stolen land; that Israel oppresses the Palestinians -- not the Palestinians' own corrupt leaders; that Israel commits genocide when, in reality, it is Hamas – as declared in its own 1988 Charter -- that explicitly calls for genocide, not just against Israel, but all Jews (Article 7). The facts all point to the reverse of these allegations. As is to be expected in the current political climate, however, ideological misrepresentations evidently override all considerations of accuracy, objectivity and verifiability.

Demonizing Israel is, of course, always a useful way for a corrupt or incompetent ruler to deflect attention from his own failures onto a convenient decoy. Throughout history, Jews, and most recently, Israel, appear to be repeatedly recruited for this distinction.

American Rabbi Chaim Steinmetz observed:

"In this era of great polarization, politics has replaced ethics and religion. Whether what you do is right or wrong is no longer relevant; all that matters now is if it favors the right or the left. Politics has become an all-encompassing passion; advocates are blind to their own subjectivity."

Within Israel itself, conflicting claims to authentic Jewish identity, and so representative authority, have long been present. The origins are not difficult to trace: the left-wing, socialist parties in Israel were a strong force in the land, even before the re-establishment of Israel as a state in 1948, with friction between future Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion's socialist Mapai party and Ze'ev Jabotinsky's conservative "revisionist" party, which eventually morphed into the ruling Likud party of today.

The discord between "leftist" elites and the conservative "right", largely corresponding to Ashkenazi Jews who had lived in European lands vs. Sephardi/Mizrachi Jews who had lived in Arab lands, continues to this day, polarizing society, and giving the appearance of a weak nation -- in full view of Israel's many chop-licking enemies. This divide in Israel – for instance, claims by Israelis for desperately needed judicial reform and leftists who threatened that, if called up for military reserve duty, they would refuse to serve if the judicial reform were implemented – may well have been a significant factor in Hamas's decision to invade Israel on October 7, 2023. History reveals that when a nation's enemies perceive it to be weak, it becomes vulnerable to attack and downfall: "A house divided cannot stand."

Israel's antagonists, particularly in Europe, appear to be envious that a small nation, which began with sand, desert and malarial swamps, had the gall to become an international powerhouse, while they continue to struggle with economies misguidedly designed to fail, and millions of newcomers apparently intent on replacing Europe's values with their own.

Israel's denigrators probably ask themselves how those "upstarts" in Israel could be so innovative and successful while they, the virtuous, so generously share countless social benefits with needy migrants -- many of whom openly say they would like to overthrow the elected government and transform Europe into an Islamic Caliphate.

The animosity and contrariness of prominent individuals and groups, whether religious or secular, towards Israel has, as intended, exacerbated Jew-hatred and anti-Zionism. Hatred of Jews, whether in the forms of anti-Judaism, anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism, or whatever one wishes to call it, is connected to fury at someone else's success.

Despite all odds, for nearly 4,000 years, the Jewish people have survived and thrived, and notwithstanding wars and relentless attacks from enemies, the Jews -- who do not wish ill of anyone -- defeated them all to stand stronger than ever. With courage and brilliance, the determined nation of King David will not just continue to thrive; they will soar.

NYPD Investigates Suspicious Device in Manhattan Vehicle After Apparent Terror Plot

[Update: the New York Police Department has removed the suspicious device from the area for testing. Those who were evacuated can return home.]

The New York Police Department is investigating a suspicious device in a vehicle in Manhattan, a day after two suspected terrorists threw an improvised explosive device at protestors.

The two men are in custody and police are now searching the area for other explosive devices.

Police have secured the area around East End Avenue between 81st and 82nd Streets. The NYPD said that it is conducting a limited evacuation of nearby buildings while the Bomb Squad assesses and removes the device.

The NYPD confirmed that the IED thrown at protestors yesterday wasn't a hoax or a smoke bomb.

The bomb squad is assessing and removing the device now.

Earlier today, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani condemned violence against protestors but failed to describe what happened. Mamdani named the apparent victim of the attack, but didn't name the two suspected terrorists who reportedly traveled from Pennsylvania with at least one IED.
