‘No Problem Too Large for Government to Solve’

The above is a direct quote from the new Caliph, err... mayor of New York City. History shows us this is a foolish statement. But it is consistent with the Left’s core fundamental error in that their entire worldview is based on abstractions being real, physical things.

There is no such thing as “government.” It is not a thing that thinks and acts on its own. Yet the Left, and far too many on the Right, speak and act as though “government” is out there doing this or doing that -- often with almost godlike powers. “Don’t worry Joe, government will take care of that!”

Government -- at whatever level -- is just a large, powerful organization. That’s it. “It” doesn’t do anything because “it” doesn’t exist. It has no agency, but instead is the result of actions of others -- elected officials, managers, worker bees -- just like any corporation.

I have founded many business corporations and llcs and the legal term for them is “artificial entity.” They are created by law, not nature. And thus “they” do not actually exist in the natural world.

By using the idea this way, the left turns government into its own puppet which acts, feels, and believes in ways they say it does. The do the same with “blacks” and “women” and thousands of other creations.

This intellectual rot exists throughout our society -- and the Left and its ideas couldn’t stand even a cursory analysis without this magical transformation from an abstraction to a real, physical thing -- which I control, by the way.

Read any of the soft sciences -- they are filled with core thinking that is based on abstractions being real, physical things with agency, feelings, beliefs, and desires. This is why they are so meaningless. And over 70% of their experiments can’t be replicated -- a core foundation of real science.

I have an undergraduate degree in geology and have taken quite a few science courses. Every topic is a real-physical thing. There are no abstractions at all. And I don’t recall anyone ever asking my opinion for anything other than what I thought was the physical truth. I was there to learn accumulated knowledge, not engage in prolonged naval gazing where my opinions, feelings, and desires have any impact on anything.

And for once and for all, transgendered individuals don’t exist. Got that? Please stop reinforcing this very well planned and funded illusion.

There is no need to talk about transgendered rights and all the other since transgenderism is a mental issue, not a physical one. Judges need to stop embracing this insanity and quit building this into the legal system.

Of course, these individuals exist but their mental state does not shape reality -- they are either male or female and have been since that first and only sperm cell -- either an X or Y -- closed the sale. And every cell after that is either male or female. This is very settled science.

And don’t buy into the crapola about poor souls who have some sort of X-Y genetic defect. My dad had a messed-up left hand, a birth defect. He was not some new subspecies of human but simply an individual whose hand didn’t develop properly in the womb -- and he was not morally inferior just because of this defect. One cell probably zigged when it should have zagged and the rest tried to build upon a blueprint that now made no sense. The X-Y defect issues are no different.

If you are not bound by reality, then any and all ideas are possible. Never forget this. The left loves this as it gives them total cover for fanciful ideas that have never worked anywhere, anytime. But this leads to their real goal -- power over you and wealth.

I can win dang near any argument if I am not bound by facts and reality. Throw in promising to be Santa Claus with other people’s money and I can win a lot of elections. Conservatives and people bound by reality need to stop allowing this game to be played.

This corruption is clear in many of today’s youth who naively embrace socialism, communism, furries, and other false prophets of liberation.

There are only individuals. This is a fundamental reality. We can group these individuals by some superficial appearance -- like we do with race -- but that doesn’t mean this “thing” black, or white or Asian really exist.

But fundamentally, there are only individuals. Only individuals act. Only individuals feel. Only individuals care. Only individuals have a mind. Hold fast to this fundamental truth as the waves of abstraction roll against your shores and threaten all that is good.

The 10 Guiding Principles of MAGA

Back in 2010, after President Obama had been in office for a year, it was clear that America's political divisions had reached the boiling point.

I saw my country start to come apart at the seams.

The American schism was almost complete and it wasn't just a political schism of two political parties. The split was even more basic. My countrymen were now divided into two distinct groups. I am not speaking of Republicans and Democrats, but rather pragmatists and idealists.

Mr. Obama tapped into a basic human need – the need for hope. His brand of hope was not rooted in a belief in the Almighty – something the average American could hear every Sunday in church. His was packaged into a political philosophy that appealed to vast numbers of secular Americans, the disadvantaged and poor, and of course, the young who felt they had been ignored by politicians, big business, and to a large degree, the system that they had judged to be on the side of large powerful interests.

By virtue of his election as a minority person, Mr. Obama had fulfilled the first of his promises to Americans that if elected he would fundamentally transform the U.S.

His actual quote from a speech given in Columbia, Missouri on Oct. 30 in 2008 was: "We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America". And with his inauguration as America's 45th president a few months later, the path lay clear for him to implement his plan.

There was a problem, however; his election had revealed the extent of America's many divisions and not just the political one. He did, however, have the wind in his sails with 257 Democrats in Congress and 60 in the Senate, but two years later he lost 6 Senate seats and 63 Congressional seats.

Americans who had been motivated by his rhetoric to vote him into office woke up to the realities of his inability to govern and realized that the hope he promised them came at a price, and that price was the implementation of an unworkable ideology based on identity politics and the red herring of systemic racism.

Mr. Obama had squandered his political mandate to effect meaningful change(the second part of his "hope and change" mantra) in America. His failure emboldened America's pragmatists and in 2014, Democrats lost another 13 seats in the House and a staggering 9 seats in the Senate; this time losing them the Senate and completing a Republican takeover of Congress.

One could argue that the emergence of the MAGA ("Make America Great Again") movement was inevitable after Americans saw the failure of Obama's time in office. Americans had grown weary of speeches and empty promises and wanted action to fix their many problems, and they didn't believe Bill Clinton's wife was up to the job.

They chose a man who spoke to them at gut level without lofty poetic phrases. If anything, MAGA really should have been called MARA for "Make America Real Again". The movement Donald Trump created now espouses a few very basic principles that are shared by his followers. And if my European friends want to understand the MAGA movement then they had better understand the members' ideology. Here are ten of those guiding principles:

1. God is alive and His Ten Commandments are not mere suggestions.

2. Every life is important and must be protected.

3. America's values and its Constitution are not works in progress.

4. Law, order and personal accountability are essential to a healthy democracy.

5. Individual rights are not subordinate to a collective's.

6. Citizens' rights trump those of the bureaucracy.

7. Parents are responsible for their children, and a successful family has both a father and a mother.

8. The right to speak one's mind is not subject to negotiation.

9. A person must be judged by his works and actions, not solely by his words.

10. Justice, implemented impartially, is the only thing guaranteeing equality.

Granted, there are other basic principles that MAGA proponents hold dear, but those are the top ten. Others include views on the size, scope and abuse of government, unrestrained power of the elite, judicial overreach, illegal immigration, the existence of only two biological sexes, the role of men and women in society. and more.

If we have learned one thing over the last ten years, it is that ideology should only supplement practicality, not replace it.

After Donald Trump's loss of a second consecutive term in 2020, half of America transitioned back to its Obama days and breathed a sigh of relief that their man was back in charge.

What they found out very early on, however, was that their man was not a leader. President Joseph Biden was but a pale copy of his former partner in governance, Barack Obama.

Biden was not an orator, neither was he a believable straight-talker like his predecessor, Donald Trump. He was a visibly angry man and one that was swiftly approaching senility. He had no overarching vision for America, unlike Obama, and he lacked Obama's charisma. What he did have was his party's control over the House and the Senate. However, after two years, that total control vanished when Republicans gained control of the House with 222 votes.

In times past, after midterm elections, American presidents typically became less political and more pragmatic. This was not the case with Joe Biden and the Democrats. They amped up their rhetoric against Trump and MAGA and hoped that American voters would once again cast a historic vote, this time for a mixed-race woman as their president. Hope was once again on the ballot, but the MAGA movement had been steadily chipping away at the administration's handling of the economy, the Democrats' identity politics, and the general malaise that had been created by the realizations that the government was being managed by an ineffectual leader whose mental capacity and decision-making ability was questionable at best.

Americans' choice was simple if not extremely difficult for idealogues on the left to make. They could hire a manager who could bring the economy back on track, shrink the size of government, create opportunities for American workers and in general, "Make America Great Again" or risk everything with an unproven, lightweight politician whose main qualifications were rooted in identity politics.

Americans chose the manager, and they are now realizing after nearly one year since his election that not even he can magically turn the American economy around and solve the systemic problems that face Americans like rising healthcare costs, failing schools and the growing racial and wealth divide that, if left unchecked, can tear the country asunder.

It's time for Americans to circle their ideological and practical wagons around a few guiding principles and remove the labels that are attached to them. De-politicizing these principles and ascribing a different label to them such as "core American principles" is the only way to move forward in these dire, ΓΌber-political times.

Time to Pass Out the Potassium Iodide Pills Again?

In August 2022, “the European Union pledged to preemptively donate more than five million anti-radiation tablets [potassium iodide] to Ukraine amid fears of a Chernobyl-level catastrophe at the Russian-occupied, embattled Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant.”

In October 2025, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un displayed a new long-range intercontinental ballistic missile at a Pyongyang military parade, attended by foreign leaders including Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev.

President Vladimir Putin announced February 21, 2023 during his Federal Assembly Presidential Address that Russia wouldn’t allow the U.S. and NATO to inspect their nuclear facilities and stated that any nuclear weapons tests conducted by Americans would be countered with Russian nuclear tests.  While complaining that French and British nuclear weapons aren’t covered by the New START treaty,  February 2025 Russia announced the reason it suspended participation in the New START treaty in 2023 was due to U.S. support of Ukraine.

Russia had frequently been caught violating the terms of the deal.

The War Department stated China will soon have more than 1,000 nuclear warheads, a near-doubling the estimated 600 they possess right now, building 100 new nuclear weapons a year, putting them “on track to reach strategic parity with the U.S. by the mid-2030s.”  Reports state that America is being left “vulnerable in an era when Moscow, Beijing, and Pyongyang are all expanding their arsenals at breakneck speed.”

TASS News reports, “President Donald Trump accused Russia, North Korea, China, Pakistan and other countries of secretly holding underground nuclear tests.” President Trump stated, “You don’t necessarily know where they are testing.  They test way underground… you feel a little bit of vibration…  They test and we don’t.”  October 29 Trump instructed the Pentagon to immediately resume nuclear weapons testing, without specification of the type of testing to be conducted.

All of this taken together led Karin Kneissl, former Austrian foreign minister and head of the Geopolitical Observatory for Russia’s Key issues (GORK) to conclude, “the world may encounter another round of a nuclear arms race.”

On November 11, Trump stated he no longer believed that the Ukrainian conflict will lead to World War III, but in April 2025, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Medvedev stated he believes the threat of nuclear apocalypse is still there.

Would someone be crazy enough to start a nuclear exchange?  One would hope not, because mutually assured destruction is not a win for anyone.  Even so, a real threat for the world still exists, and is captured in President Trump’s next statement, which is true for all nations with nuclear weapons.  President Trump stated, “And if we have ‘em [nuclear weapons], we have to test’em, otherwise you don’t really know how they’re gonna work.  And we don’t ever want to use them.”

While the United States of America has the best military training and equipment on the planet, hiccups still happen and equipment occasionally fails.  During a March 2025 joint training exercise with the U.S., a South Korean fighter jet accidentally dropped eight MK-82 bombs injuring multiple people.  Fortunately, these were not nuclear weapons, but just imagine if they had been.

It is true that this was a South Korean pilot who made the mistake, but the highly-trained and best-equipped-in-the-world U.S. military has had at least 32 incidents when the weapons involved were nuclear weapons.  These incidents are called “Broken Arrows,” which is “an unexpected event involving nuclear weapons that result in the accidental launching, firing, detonating, theft, or loss of the weapon.”

During the published 32 U.S. Broken Arrow incidents, 6 nuclear weapons have gone missing between the 1950s and the year 2000.

One of these incidents occurred in 1958 when a B-47 bomber collided with an F-86 fighter off the coast of the state of Georgia.  The B-47 was carrying a 7,600-pound Mark 15 hydrogen thermonuclear bomb with an explosive yield of 3.8 megatons, 190 times more powerful than the Fat Man bomb, which leveled Nagasaki, Japan.  With the plane going down, the bomber pilot jettisoned the bomb into the waters of Wassaw Sound near Tybee Island, Georgia.  While the Navy searched, the bomb was never found, but the public was reassured that the plutonium warhead had been replaced with a lead simulation.  However, 1994 documents released from a 1966 Congressional Testimony revealed the “Tybee Mark 15 nuclear weapon” was a complete weapon.

Another incident in 1961 involved a B-52 bomber flying over Eastern North Carolina carrying two “armed and ready” atomic bombs as part of Operation Chrome Dome.  Developing a fuel leak, with pilots unable to level the plane, they dumped the fuel, but the wing started falling apart.  An Onslow County native, co-pilot Adam Mattocks, stated the captain ordered everyone to bail out.  Six made it out, one died in the jump, and two died as the plane crashed 12 miles North of Goldsboro, N.C.  Mattocks had bailed out, crawling through a hole made by an ejection seat.  Once in the air, Mattocks saw one bomb parachuting to the ground, but the parachute for the other bomb didn’t open, causing it to hit the ground going an estimated 700 miles per hour.  The warhead hasn’t been seen since, being only “one safety-switch away from exploding.”  Three of the four detonators were activated.

Concerning the six known reported missing U.S. nuclear warheads, one is in the Mediterranean Sea, two are in the Pacific Ocean, two are in the Atlantic Ocean, and one is in Eastern North Carolina.

With the U.S. being the best military in the world, but yet still having equipment problems resulting in 32 known Broken Arrow incidents, does anyone think it is safe for Russia, North Korea, China, Pakistan, and other countries to be flying around practicing drills with live nuclear weapons?  This sounds like multiple opportunities to have major nuclear accidents, especially if the world is gearing up for another nuclear arms race.

While the Department of Defense released a document detailing the 32 Broken Arrow incidents, a declassified document from the Defense Atomic Support Agency details hundreds more.

In 1981, The Defense Monitor, stated this in their conclusion from looking at the Broken Arrow incidents: “The variety of nuclear weapons accidents which have occurred in the past and the increased number of nuclear weapons suggest that more accidents and perhaps more serious accidents will occur in the future.”

More recently, President Trump stated, “We have the best [nuclear weapons], and I was the one that renovated them and built them during a four-year period [as president].  And I hated to do it, because the destructive capability is something you don’t even wanna talk about.”

President Trump has to deal with the cards that he was dealt, and he and his cabinet have to navigate complex world interactions, with nuclear fallout a rising possibility.

It’s time for Democrats in Congress to stop playing political games and start supporting our president.  Mature, sensible, and sane adults understand there’re more important things to consider, than merely making payback points for one’s political party and cronies!

Echoes of Weimar

They say those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. It seems the powers that be in Germany missed that memo, which is ironic considering Germany's not-too-distant history.

During the Weimar Republic, Germany had strict speech codes and laws that it ruthlessly enforced. Those laws let the government censor press criticism as well as anything it considered "advocating violence" (gee, doesn't that sound familiar?). Of course, these laws targeted many Nazi propaganda outlets and speakers, including Adolf Hitler himself.

It was in November, 102 years ago, that Hitler and a band of supporters staged a putsch at the BΓΌrgerbrΓ€ukeller beer hall in Munich, Bavaria. They were trying to overthrow the Weimar Republic and put the Nazis in power. The putsch ended in a shootout between the Nazis and Bavarian soldiers.

For his part in it, Hitler was sentenced to five years in prison but served only eight or nine months. He was banned from speaking in public for two years following that release.

Fat lot of good that did, huh?

Earlier this year, Vice President J.D. Vance humiliated European politicians in general, and German politicians in particular, by taking them to task over speech codes and laws that are eerie echoes of those imposed by the Weimar Republic.

“In Britain and across Europe, free speech, I fear, is in retreat," Vance said. He added, "You cannot win a democratic mandate by censoring your opponents or putting them in jail."

Margaret Brennan of CBS News was so appalled by Vance's comments that she tried (and failed spectacularly) to blame the rise of Nazism and the Holocaust on free speech. The exact opposite is true, of course. It was the suppression of free speech that gave the Nazis power.

We're not surprised that Brennan wasn't listening.

But it seems Germany wasn't listening, either, because in yet another example of anti-free speech authoritarianism, the police raided the home of a German man because he had the audacity to call politicians "parasites" in a social media post.

Here's more:

The thing to understand is that this is not about one man’s post. It is about a bureaucracy that treats speech as something to manage and a set of enforcement structures that expand to fill the space they are given.

Start with the enforcement context. Germany has built a sprawling ecosystem around “online hate”: specialized prosecutor units, NGO tip lines, and automated scanning for taboo keywords.
The model is compliance first and legal theory second.

Once you create an apparatus like this, it behaves the way bureaucracies behave. It looks for work. It justifies resources by producing cases. A tiny X post with inflammatory language becomes a target because it contains the right keyword, not because it has societal impact.

Police behavior fits the same pattern. Confiscating phones is strategically useful because it imposes real pain without requiring a conviction.

And here's the post in question:

There is nothing violent or hateful in that post. It is a factual, albeit acerbic, observation of an economic reality: those who live off the largess of the state do not contribute to the state.

If politicians and authorities worry that it's an incitement of violence against them, it reveals their guilty consciences.

The truth, after all, hurts.

Of course, I'm not saying Germany is on track to relive the Third Reich. But there are lessons from history that we need to learn, and the first one is this: suppressing free speech does more harm than good. Given the demographic shift in Germany, it would do well for them to realize this before it's too late.

Whoa: Major Foreign Propagandists Utterly Exposed After X Glitch Reveals Account Locations

RedState

A temporary glitch on X led to a credibility bloodbath for a variety of foreign propaganda accounts that were either posing as Americans or lying about their locations in other ways.

Days prior, Head of Product Nikita Brier had announced a new feature revealing the origin and current location of users. When it rolled out, though, only account owners could view it. That all changed on Friday night, though. In what is assumed to have been a mistake, everyone's origins and current locations were made public for about an hour before disappearing.

In one instance, it was revealed that one of Hamas' biggest simps has been lying about being in Gaza.

The above was posted when it was 65 degrees at night (and 80 during the day), just to give you an idea of the kind of propaganda being spewed. For years, the above account has claimed to be reporting from the ground in Gaza. He's made hundreds of posts pushing fake claims about genocide, famine, and his own supposed hardships. In reality, his account was created in the United Kingdom, and he's currently residing in Poland.

I guess when he said he and his "children" were freezing, he forgot he was still in Eastern Europe. He's not the only one who got exposed, though. A large number of other accounts that obsess over Israel and Jews, many claiming to be Americans, were also revealed to be foreign ops.

There are a lot more examples, but what needs to be understood is that this is all coordinated. Foreigners, possibly funded by other governments, are creating accounts and using bots to game the algorithms to gain notoriety. They then use those platforms to push vile content under the banner of "America First." Every bit of it is meant to demoralize and divide Americans, and specifically, the Republican Party.

All that stuff you've been hearing about a civil war within the GOP was astroturfed by accounts like the ones posted above. They want you to think it's all spiraling and that they are winning hearts and minds. It's fake. It always has been. Remember that as you continue to browse social media. Foreign entities are gaming the system to try to diminish American exceptionalism and influence. For now, they find trashing Israel and Jews as a convenient dividing line, but this is really about destroying Western civilization and ushering in Islamization. Don't be the sucker who falls for it.

Bush Family Is Scheming to Snatch Control of the GOP From Trump

RedState

This piece by Matt Vespa over at our sister site, Townhall, caught my eye. Apparently, the Bush family is looking to revive its political dynasty and eyeing the post-Donald Trump Republican Party as the vehicle for their comeback; they're allegedly also looking to the 2028 GOP presidential primary (if JD Vance doesn't have the whole thing locked up by then, of course) as the perfect time to make that comeback.

All the Bushes need, reportedly, is for Trump to make his grand final exit.

There are allegedly “rumors” stirring that there is a “plot to end the so-called ‘Bush Exile'” as part of an effort to take control of the GOP from Trump and his Make America Great Again (MAGA) policies, according to the Daily Mail:

Now, rumors are stirring of a plot to end the so-called ‘Bush Exile’ and take back the GOP from the so-called scourge of Trumpism.

Behind the scenes, and still with deep connections around the country, a shadow Republican Party is lying in wait to take over when Trump is gone.

And, while the former president is determined not to publicly criticize Trump – much to the frustration of some of his former aides – he may not be averse to quietly helping to shape the Republican Party’s long-term future.

A "former Bush official" apparently let slip the plans, acknowledging that there will be no third term for Trump and that Vice President JD Vance "has a head start" on 2028. That, the "official" concluded, leaves "a big open field with the Republican Party," which presumably means room for a candidate from the Bush family. No specific names were mentioned.

Former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele, he of the frequent Trump/GOP-bashing appearances on MSNBC/MS NOW, reportedly has pleaded with former President George W. Bush to start getting back involved with the GOP, say the former president is “a voice that would resonate with a lot more Americans." Ugh, worst endorsement ever.

This is all fine and dandy except for one really big thing: this is no longer the Republican Party of the Bushes. In the time since George W. Bush left office, the GOP has become a whole lot less country club and a whole lot more Carhartt. To put it another way – the party is now a lot more 45-47 than it is 43.

And then there's how Vespa put it:

Okay, enough. This isn’t going to happen, and frankly, the Bush family has already left the stage, and they should remain off it. Their time is over. It’s done. Second, the base isn’t receptive to their brand of Republican politics anymore. The base is more blue-collar: folks who aren’t supportive of the free-trade bonanza Bush II ran. If the GOP base wasn’t high on Jeb in 2016, what makes you think the 2028 Republican base would go ga-ga over another Bushie running? This isn’t a phase or a fad, guys. The GOP has been transformed under Trump, and it’s not going back.

Indeed, it's hard to see what the Bush appeal would be to working-class folks who have found a home in the GOP under Donald Trump's leadership and his ability to connect with everyday Americans. And then there's W's close friendship with "Moaning" Michelle Obama, who didn't have the decency to show up for Trump's second swearing-in back in January. It's not a great look.

While it's hard to envision a scenario in which the modern-day Bush family wrests control of the Republican Party away from Trump and MAGA, this report is a good reminder that there remains a contingent of bitter Never Trumper-types still out there hoping to return the GOP to its uniparty heyday.

Sunday Scripture

Colossians 3:15 - King James Version

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

https://dailyverse.knowing-jesus.com/colossians-3-15

Peace WITH God is never removed from the man or woman who has trusted in the death, burial, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have the assurance of eternal security and can never be plucked out of His hand. But once we are saved by grace through faith, the inner perfect peace OF God which rules our hearts and minds is dependent on us maintaining a right relationship with God. This is achieved through humble praise, reverent prayer, grateful thanks, and a submissive heart that has faith in God's Word and trusts that God will keep His Word, in all things.
