Democrats Are Always Guilty Of What They Accuse Us Of Doing, Always

The story opens, “The Mormon Church shooter who killed at least four people in an attack on Sunday had a Trump sign outside his house and wore MAGA merch.” After weeks of being lectured by the left about how it was ghoulish to point out that mentally disturbed leftists were murdering people for political reasons, suddenly they saw a Google Street View image of what kind of looks like a “Trump/Pence” sign on a fence and they knew all they needed to know: Donald Trump had inspired one of his followers to murder Mormons.

Missing, naturally, was anything Trump has ever said about Mormons. Democrats didn’t even try. If they had, they probably could have come up with something critical of Mitt Romney which was even too flimsy for them to try.

No, they didn’t try. They don’t have to try anymore. The new standard is whatever they declare is true; there’s no need to back it up with evidence. Evidence is for suckers.

The Daily Beast story continues, “The Trump sign outside his home has fueled heated speculation about his politics. Some social media users have used the Trump placard to claim that he is a Republican, while those across the aisle see the placement of the poster—just above a ‘stop’ sign—as an indication that he wanted to ‘stop Trump.’”

Within an hour of his name being known, the leftist corporate media had dug deeper into his background than they still have for any of the people who tried to murder President Trump or the guy who did kill Charlie Kirk, who they lost all interest in after it was learned he was living with a “trans woman” boyfriend.

Burning more calories than the reporter likely has all year, she tracked down a Democrat consultant and wrote, “Mark Grebner, a Democratic consultant, told Bridge Michigan that Sanford had signed two petitions: one for the 2021 ‘Unlock Michigan’ effort to repeal Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s pandemic emergency powers, and a 2020 push by Right to Life Michigan to outlaw an abortion procedure.”

Is there an accurate body count for the attack yet? But a lawn sign and someone with a political agenda are sources for a story with the title, “Mormon Church Shooter Had a Trump Sign Outside His House.” (Don’t worry, the link goes to an outside site to bypass the paywall and does not serve their ads, so they get nothing.)

I’m reminded of my late friend Joe Wurzelbacher, aka “Joe the Plumber.” Then-candidate Barack Obama walked down his street, and Joe asked a simple question about taxes. Obama’s answer was stupid – “when you spread the wealth around…” – and the entire left-wing industrial complex went into damage control mode. Within 3 days, they’d investigated Joe’s background, lying about him and ultimately, illegally, releasing his tax records, in an attempt to discredit him…for asking a question.

To this day, the public still has more of a record of irrelevant information and lies about Joe than we know about Barack Obama’s college years, for example. He had to be attacked and smeared because the alternative was to report honestly about the exchange and about what Obama said and was advocating on behalf of.

The media does know who to do this research – it’s not hard, it’s pretty much Google and whatever rabbit holes that leads you down – they just stop the second they find anything they think they can pin on the right, hand the narrative on that, and move on as quickly as possible to avoid the discovery of anything to contradict it.

They don’t even try anymore. Have you noticed how all the cable “news’ discussion of the indictment of James Comey revolves around the concept of “How dare they?” with no one, with the exception of Comey himself, declaring that he is innocent. They all know he lied, or they don’t care: Trump is on one side, so they’re on the other. If Trump cured cancer, Democrats would try to sabotage it “To save the jobs of oncologists!”

They really are that sick.

Remember that as they try to imply “Trump is to blame” for the Mormon attack, and note how they never cite anything incendiary that could even be viewed as having set him off. They’ll do it as they ignore the anti-ICE ammunition and the trail of blood from Utah to their hands about “fascist” cries. The left is always guilty of what they accuse everyone else of doing, always.

Podcast and entertainment thread for Sept 30

2 very important NCIS episodes are reairing tonight on CBS. Worth a watch.

Violence And The Permanent Adolescents Of The American Left

Over the past 18 months, the irrational and near psychotic hatred and fear of Donald Trump that permeates the Marxist-inspired American left and its wholly owned subsidiary, the Democrat party, has evolved into violence, upheaval, and murder. This anti-American cabal, fearful that it is on the cusp of being decisively defeated, has unleashed its army of permanent adolescent foot soldiers in a desperate bid to retain its power and influence.

American Leftism is a unique amalgamation of Marxism, Darwinism, and oligarchism that requires an army of brain-dead acolytes who dwell in a state of permanent adolescence. The vast majority of these foot soldiers do not understand that the leadership of their movement consists of avowed Marxists determined to establish a one-party socialist oligarchy in which they will be viewed no differently than the rest of the unwashed masses.

The acolytes’ overriding trait and why they are permanent adolescents is their intractable belief that their lives will only be meaningful if they are part of “the in-crowd.” Over the past six decades, the American left, by seizing the mantle of anti-establishmentarianism on college and university campuses, has evolved into the ultimate in-crowd.

In this way, the left was able to determine what those desperate to belong must fervently believe and act upon. And, as in the fairy tales relayed to them while in childhood, as well as the comic-book-based movies with which they’re obsessed, the leaders of the American left working in academia indoctrinated these future pawns to believe that there is a monolithic entity that can guarantee prosperity, happiness, and equity.

That entity, of course, is a government under the Marxist-inspired left’s permanent control. Once attained, this would then be the true “democracy,” not the bastardized version the slave-owning founders of the United States created 250 years ago.

The other powerful weapon the American left has used to recruit and control these permanent adolescents is guilt. Over the past 60 years, these self-serving would-be oligarchs have made certain that there is always something in the United States to be guilty about. Leftists have used guilt as a weapon to indoctrinate and incite their mind-numbed minions to seek collective absolution by doing their bidding, even to the point of violence directed against the left’s perceived enemies.

These witless disciples have also been convinced that those at the top of the pyramid, the self-anointed leaders of the left, are the smartest and most enlightened people in any room. Therefore, to envision oneself as part of the ultimate in-crowd, all one has to do is to robotically spout predetermined talking points, unquestioningly participate in marches and demonstrations, and espouse Marxist ideology without having the foggiest idea of what it stands for or its history of failure.

Additionally, these exploitable pawns have been encouraged to believe that all the really cool people are on the left since the self-proclaimed leaders of the movement have decreed that there are no moral absolutes and that organized religion is calculatingly oppressive for intractably opposing endless and uninhibited hedonism. Thus, the modern American left is the current in-crowd corralling those mesmerized with celebrity and self-indulgence.

Americans are, by and large, obsessed with finding “meaning” in their lives. For the permanent adolescents of the left, the easiest way to achieve that meaning is either to be a victim or mindlessly champion the cause of those the enlightened leaders of the left christen with exalted victim status. This tactic has the dual endgame of not only self-righteousness but blaming the cause of the victimhood on a repressive and unfair society. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult to be a victim in 21st-century America. Therefore, new categories of victimhood must constantly be fostered, and the old categories never resolved.

To maintain standing within the in-crowd, it is mandatory when confronted with an alternative point of view to revert to throwing a tantrum and calling Donald Trump, Republicans, and conservatives any vile name possible and to accuse them of anything bad. That last is easy because the left’s causes are always just, and all the factions on the right, which oppose these causes, espouse fascism. Therefore, any and all malicious innuendos regarding Trump, or fictitious accusations of Republican duplicity, or claims that all conservatives are Nazis, are unquestioningly believed and enthusiastically regurgitated.

Since Trump, the Republicans, and conservatives are not only disciples of fascism, which these permanent adolescents cannot define, but are also determined to defeat the Marxist agenda of the American left, the adolescents understand that violence, and intimidation are fully justified in order to save what their Marxist-inspired leaders have told them is American democracy. In fact, violence is becoming increasingly mandatory if these dupes want to remain as part of the in-crowd, particularly as the second Trump term has evolved into an existential threat to the American left.

Most Americans, of course, find incomprehensible the endless pleas to assassinate President Trump, the targeting of law enforcement, the threats directed at ICE agents, the murder of Charlie Kirk, and the random killing of anyone who may tangentially be part of a group refusing to acknowledge preordained victimhood. However, it all makes perfect sense to the army of brain-dead dupes of the American left.

In what could be described as borderline mental illness, the acolytes are so intent on maintaining their status as tribe members in good standing and have been so obsessed with making membership in what they perceive to be the ultimate in-crowd their entire reason for existence that the American left’s leadership can easily influence and manipulate them. That includes many elected Democrats such as Gavin Newsom, Bernie Sanders, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

The only means of combating this deranged army is to unleash the police power of the state to identify and isolate those promoting violence, to imprison those involved in violent criminal activity, to prosecute those financing what is effectively domestic terrorism, and to focus on defeating in elections the Democrat politicians espousing retribution and revolution. While the legacy media will continue to obfuscate the reality and depth of left-wing violence, the alternative media must ceaselessly continue to expose the American left for who they are.

The Marxist-inspired American left can be defeated if the American citizenry awakens from its eight-decade slumber and begins to comprehend who these people are and what their endgame is, as well as grasp that they account for a small percentage of the population. In a recent Gallup poll, those who identify as very liberal accounted for just 9% of the population.

The United States cannot remain overwhelmingly powerful and prosperous if the American left continues to maintain its disparate and overwhelming impact on society and government. While Donald Trump has made enormous strides in setting up the battlefield and establishing the template for victory, as well as winning isolated battles, it will take at least another eight years following in Trump’s footsteps to defeat this treasonous rabble and ensure that this nation will not be destroyed by a handful of Marxist true-believers and their army of permanent adolescents.

Why Trump Hates His Enemies

Something remarkable recently passed unnoticed. Trump spoke at Charlie Kirk’s memorial but didn't champion Christian charity.  He advocated a decidedly Old Testament approach (one finding unanimous support on these pages):

He was a missionary with a noble spirit.  …He did not hate his opponents, he wanted the best for them.  That's where I disagreed with Charlie.  I hate my opponent.  I don't want the best for them.  I'm sorry Erika.  … And maybe they can convince me that that's not right, but I can't stand my opponent.

Who preaches hatred while eulogizing “a missionary”?

Trump spoke deliberately.

He’s preparing America for war while placing enemies on notice.  He doesn’t support understanding the sinner and seeking to reform him.  He hates the sinner and the sin.

In domestic politics (or politics projected outward as foreign policy), anything else becomes suicidal.  America reformed Japan and Germany only after bombing them into submission.

It's contrary to “America First” isolationists’childish beliefs that America can withdraw within its borders, ignoring the world, as foreign actors continuously plot our destruction.  Becoming mired in years-long counterinsurgencies isn’t the same as preemptive strikes to proactively interdict planned attacks, e.g., Iran’s nuclear program.

The year 2025 began with a 3:15 a.m. New Orleans Islamic attack on New Year’s Day (13 dead, 57 injured).

Syria’s “former” ISIS/al-Qaida leader bears responsibility

The National Counterterrorism Center, under the ONDI, released a minimalist declassified warning on Sept. 19, two days before Trump’s hate-the-enemy comments.  The timing wasn’t coincidental.

Both represent components of Trump’s war preparations.

The ODNI alert was largely ignored in America.  But Afghans paid attention.  The document provided few details, beyond that terrorists are targeting “aviation, symbolic or economic targets, U.S. military or government employees and facilities, and the U.S. public.”  We’re unprepared for the magnitude of imminent simultaneous attacks across multiple states and days.

Former CIA covert officer, analyst, and targeter Sarah Adams provides insightsbeyond the ODNI release. She’s sounded the alarm for years.

All terrorist assets will be positioned in America by year's end.  Over 1,000trained terrorists and facilitators, not 19 hijackers.  Mass casualty events are planned, including aviation and public transit attacks, hostage-taking in Washington, and attacks on cities with large military veteran populations

Laura Loomer’s sources add additional detail.  Hospitals, churches, and synagogues have been surveilled.  Uniforms of police and first responders were acquired through theft and purchases.

Possible scenarios include highway attacks, creating traffic jams to foil rescuers.

Secondary attacks (ambushes) on first responders and hospitals treating victims are likely.

Second Amendment-antagonistic states are at the highest risk.  Something closer to 10/7 than 9/11 is planned.  Hostage taking prolongs and amplifies terrorism.  Hostages’ families become weaponized to support terrorists’ objectives.

While Americans focus on domestic squabbles and biennial elections, Islamists strategize for years, decades, even centuries.

The terrorist attack of 9/11 wasn't a one-off.  Future attacks are inevitable.  9/11 had narrow objectives, including creating a generation of Jihadis with a personal animus against America after fighting us in the Middle East.  The 9/11 attack was highly successful.  America subsequently prosecuted ruinous wars.

But the Taliban is more powerful than ever, having killed almost 2,500 Americans and wounded over 20,000.  Funded by America and Europe, Afghanistan again harbors terrorists.   Future attacks have more sinister and extensive goals, including crippling America, politically and economically.  In its planners’ eyes, Oct. 7 was also fabulously successful, generating global condemnation of Israel.

Caliphate proponents possess long memories.  They schedule attacks for dates possessing historical significance.  The Ottomans were stopped at Vienna on Sept. 11, 1683.  America attacked Afghanistan on Oct. 7, 2001.  The Benghazi attack was on Sept. 11, 2012.  America’s 250th birthday may witness additional fireworks.  9/11’s 25th anniversary won’t go uncelebrated.  Europe won’t be spared, either.

Consider the rapidly accelerating timeline:

  • 9/11: Congress busies itself preparing to review the last battle.
  • 9/19: ODNI issued a terrorist attack warning.
  • 9/21: Trump put enemies on notice.
  • 9/23: The USSS revealed cellular networks are compromised (obviously a state-sponsored operation). They sat on this investigation since this Spring.  The timing of its release seems part of Trump's timeline to war.  The 2025 terrorists enjoy advantages 9/11 attackers would envy, including the internet and cellular phone dependency.  Future attacks will incorporate high tech, remote cyber-attacks, biowarfare, invisible bombs, dirty bombs, and weaponized drones.
  • 9/23: Trump greenlights Ukraine to go at it with Russia
  • 9/25: Trump meets Turkey’s Erdogan, the link between NATO and Hamas.
  • 9/25: Four days after Trump’s Charlie Kirk speech, the military brass were summoned home.  We appeared on the cusp of DEFCON 3, previously activated during the Cuban Missile Crisis, the 1973 Yom Kippur war, and for 9/11.  DEFCON 2 would likely follow, a level reached only twice before, during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Desert Storm.  Current DEFCON levels are classified and not publicly released.  There's only one reason the Secretary of War orders hundreds of starred officers to Quantico.
  • 9/29: Netanyahu scheduled to meet Trump.
  • 9/30: Senior generals and admirals converge on Quantico.  If Trump participates, that amplifies the gravity of what’s coming.
  • 10/7: 24th anniversary of America’s Afghanistan invasion.
  • 1/1/2026: America’s 250th year begins, and the New Orleans attack anniversary.
  • 7/4/2026: Fireworks.
  • 8/30/2026: America's Afghanistan withdrawal 5th anniversary.
  • 9/11/2026: 9/11 25th anniversary.
  • 10/7/2026: America's Afghanistan invasion 25th anniversary.
  • 11/3/2026: Midterm elections.

Sarah Adams, Jane Doe, etc. aren’t wild conspiracy theorists.  Shawn Ryan (a former Navy SEAL and CIA contractor) hosted her multiple times on his podcast, as well as interviewing Trump, Vance, Tulsi Gabbard, Tom Homan, etc.  He isn’t Tucker Carlson promoting crackpot agendas advancing our enemies’ objectives.  Lara Trump has also interviewed Adams.  Congressional representatives Tim Burchett, Elise Stefanik, and Eli Crane are among those warning about upcoming terrorist attacks.  Al-Qaida training camps are flourishing under the Taliban, reconstituted under Hamza bin Laden’s leadership, Osama's eldest son.  Individuals such as Sarah Adams or Laura Loomer promulgate information gleaned from open sources or intelligence community leaks.  Trump possesses the highest quality intelligence.  When he restores the War Department’s name and convenes his military leadership, this means, unlike Pearl Harbor, 9/11, or Abbey Gate, intelligence isn’t ignored, resulting in reactive responses.  This time it will be proactive.

Note any threats Trump issues against Middle Eastern officials while attempting to preempt or respond to attacks.  Iran, the Taliban, al-Qaida, and Qatar’s leaders may soon experience turbulence.

America’s founders recognized that preaching moderation “in the pulpit or otherwise,” or “inculcat[ing] the doctrine of passive obedience, or any other doctrine tending to quiet the minds of the people” thwarts military victory.  Trump gets it.  He is himself a high-value target of Iran.  Oct. 7 constituted a test run for American and European attacks.

The initial months of Trump’s second term witnessed objectives pursued with deliberate speed.  All his major initiatives have been addressed, mostly successfully.  Only one remains.  By 2026, 10% of America’s 250 years will have been spent under the dark clouds ushered in by 9/11.   Breaking through those clouds won’t be easy, but is essential.

YouTube Forced to Fork Over Huge Sums to Trump After Biden-Era Censorship

RedState

Donald Trump was already rich, but he just keeps getting richer thanks to the companies he’s sued for censorship and libel. Let’s remember: Paramount Global settled for $16 million for CBS News’ deceptively edited Kamala Harris interview, Meta forked over $25 million for suspending Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts following the events of January 6, ABC News parted with $15 million because hopelessly biased anchor George Stephanopoulos defamed him by saying he’d been been found liable for rape (false), and Twitter (now X) ponied up $10 million for suspending his account pre-Elon Musk.

Former Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama are struggling to come up with funding for their presidential libraries, but Trump seems off to a fast start, since much of that settlement money comes in the form of donations to his future archive.

As Crocodile Dundee used to say in '80s commercials pitching Australian tourism, you can now throw “another shrimp on the barbie,” because YouTube has settled with the president for a cool $24.5 mil.

Twenty-two million of the haul will be given on Trump’s behalf to the Trust for the National Mall, the nonprofit formed to fund construction of the president’s $200 million White House ballroom.

Two point five million of the settlement will go to other plaintiffs, such as the nonprofit American Conservative Union.

YouTube, like numerous other Big Tech companies, has been forced to eat crow after ruthlessly cancelling and censoring accounts that disagreed with the Biden party line on subjects like COVID, Jan. 6, or anything else Ole Joe didn’t like. It’s good that these companies are finally facing some degree of accountability, but maybe Joe Biden and his team should be forced to pay up as well, since it’s been well-documented by the House Judiciary Committee and others that they put heavy pressure on those companies to toe the line.

Many conservatives and right-of-center sites were badly impacted by censorship and “throttling” (where social media companies make sure only a small audience ever sees your content)—and RedState was certainly one of those affected. For those of you who were fans at the time and stuck with us, we appreciate your support.

For a couple of years there, it seemed as if a large part of America had lost its collective mind. It’s gratifying to see that being turned around, one settlement at a time.

To Take Down the NGO Industrial Complex

The ‘charitable’ voter registration industry should be targeted and this is a uniquely opportune moment to hit it.

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, conservatives and moderates alike are crying out for the decimation of hyper-politicized nonprofit organizations and the “NGO complex” that many believe enables and encourages left-wing extremism. The sentiment is correct, but the righteous anger is currently directionless, leading to dubious comments about “hate speech,” vague notions of charges under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, and talk of investigations into Antifa funding, with no real sense of where to strike first. There needs to be a clear target, and it should be one easily hit for maximum effect.

The “charitable” voter registration industry is that target, and this is a uniquely opportune moment to hit it.

Despite IRS rules prohibiting charitable groups from engaging in partisan electioneering, it’s an open secret that a small army of voter registration nonprofits operates as an extension of the Democratic Party. In 2020, a Democrat Super PAC called Mind the Gap sent a memo advising megadonors that the largest of these “charitable” groups, the Voter Participation Center (VPC) and the Everybody Votes Campaign (EVC), were “4 to 10 times more cost-effective than the next best alternative” for “netting additional Democratic votes.”

Everybody Votes Campaign

The EVC is the largest voter registration campaign in history. It has recorded more than 7 million registrations and $200 million in funding since 2015, when it was first conceived for explicitly partisan reasons, as proved by emails between Democrat consultants and John Podesta.

EVC’s canvassers have been repeatedly investigated for submitting thousands of fraudulent registration forms in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. The group is also one of the biggest donors to the New Georgia Project, a Georgia activist group recently fined $300,000 by the Georgia Ethics Commission for engaging in partisan electioneering on behalf of its founder, Stacey Abrams.

Voter Participation Center

The VPC also has quite the “nonpartisan” track record, registering 6.6 million voters while causing more partisan scandals than one can count. As far back as 2012, left-leaning journalist Sasha Issenberg wrote: “Even though the group was officially nonpartisan, for tax purposes, there was no secret that the goal of all its efforts was to generate new votes for Democrats.” In 2024 VPC was caught filtering their Facebook and Instagram voter registration ads so that they specifically weren’t shown to users interested in things like “NASCAR,” “golf,” “Jeeps,” and “Duck Dynasty” but were shown to users interested in “African-American Literature,” “Jordan Peele,” “Taylor Swift,” “Patagonia,” and “hot yoga.”

Left-wing Activism Supply Chain

Dozens of state-level affiliates exist downstream of these national groups as well, and they do more than just register voters. They also organize protests, advocate for policies, and, most importantly, upload the information from every voter registration to massive databases like NGP VAN that are sold exclusively to Democrat PACs for use in mailing lists, fundraising, and canvassing. If all of these groups were suddenly stopped, it would devastate all levels of the left-wing activism supply chain, and it would be very difficult to build replacements fast enough for the scheme to work again in 2026.

The good news is there are already numerous elected officials calling for these fake “nonpartisan” voter registration groups to be stopped or investigated. In the last year alone, the attorney general of Maryland sent the VPC a cease-and-desist leter over its invasive mailers, Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., asked the IRS to investigate the VPC for filtering its Facebook ads, and 21 representatives in Michigan signed a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi asking her office to investigate the VPC and the EVC.

Left’s Infighting

On the other side of the fence, the left’s donors are now expressing doubts about whether their favorite “nonpartisan” voter registration schemes will continue to work after the dramatic swing towards Republicans within several traditionally Democrat-dominated demographics during the 2024 election. For example, in April 2024, panicked Democratic strategists sent a controversial emergency memo warning donors to stop funding “nonpartisan” voter registration groups because young men and Latino voters were no longer reliably Democratic enough. Last month, The New York Times reported that “a fierce fight is underway over how Democrats should address their sagging voter registration numbers and which groups should receive funding to do the work,” and how these questions are “pitting partisans against philanthropists.”

With pressure already building from above and outside, the Trump administration has the chance to turn it up to eleven and send the entire “charitable” voter registration industry into disarray.

Possible Charges

At a minimum, the worst offenders — the VPC, EVC, and others like them — should have their tax-exempt statuses revoked, and donors to those groups should be sent requests for information and face inquiries about their own tax statuses.

There are stronger options as well. Charges related to tax fraud, wire fraud, and conspiracy to defraud the United States could also be on the table for groups and donors that knowingly claimed a tax deduction for donations to non-exempt partisan work. Then, there’s the nuclear option, in which the administration might also consider legislation or executive orders designating voter registration a non-exempt function, thus returning the work of registering voters to political parties, PACs, and 501(c)(4) groups, where it belongs. This might begin to restore the American charitable sector’s once-stellar reputation.

In short, if the goal is to dismantle the left-wing NGO complex, voter registration groups are the best place to start.

Democrats Feeling the Pressure to Force Gov't Shutdown, and a Familiar Name Is Behind It

RedState

In the aftermath of the murder of Charlie Kirk, President Donald Trump has discussed openly the possibility of investigating any left-wing groups that might be inciting political violence. When the topic of political violence comes up, we usually think of groups like Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and a few others. Currently, left-wing agitators are busy targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. But there are leftist troublemakers lurking everywhere. One of those places is right in the middle of the ongoing debate over a possible partial government shutdown, and it is a name that is synonymous with left-wing agitators.

The group "Indivisible" is one we have heard of before. They have been an integral part of the Trump "resistance" movement and have been behind some of the "No Kings" protests. The non-tax-deductible arm of the group, Indivisible Project, has received a total of $7.6 million in grants over the last eight years from, surprise, the Soros Open Society Foundation.

Their latest project takes them to Capitol Hill, where they are prodding Senate Democrats into refusing to come to a bipartisan funding agreement with Republicans and Trump. Indivisible's website even has a form, complete with a script and talking points for loyal foot-soldiers, who are urged to contact Democrat senators by phone. The website reads:

Federal government funding runs out on September 30 — and Republicans need Democratic votes to clear the filibuster and avoid a government shutdown. Democrats have a strong hand to play. They must use it to deny Donald Trump the blank check Republicans want to hand him! But in the last big funding fight, Chuck Schumer and a handful of other Dems surrendered—rolling over and letting Trump weaponize federal funds to rob our services, militarize our cities, and terrorize our communities. That cannot happen again.

Indivisible has been a thorn in the side of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer before. Back in March, Schumer and nine other Democrats went along with Senate Republicans and voted for a spending bill. It prompted Indivisible to call for Schumer to step down from his leadership position, and hosted an event where people were encouraged to write retirement cards for him. Indivisible's form goes on to say, “We cannot hand blank checks to a wannabe king," and encourages their supporters "to keep publicly pressuring Schumer to FIGHT LIKE HELL!”

Kirk's assassination has led the Trump administration to want to look into left-wing groups and organizations they believe may be fueling political violence. George Soros' Open Society Foundation has been a shadow hovering over American left-wing activism for quite a while. On Thursday, a senior Justice Department official directed several U.S. Attorney's offices to draw up plans to investigate the Open Society Foundation. Possible charges range anywhere from arson to material support of terrorism.

The Open Society Foundation has also funded "Free DC," the group that fought against Trump bringing the National Guard to the nation's capital to crack down on crime, and also funneled $37 million to the Working Families Party and nine other groups who were instrumental in socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani's primary win.

All of this is not going to make Democrats any more appealing to voters in 2026 or 2028. Currently, the Democrat Party's approval rating is hovering around 30 percent. That could go even lower if Democrat leaders insist on shutting down the government over their insistence on ridiculous things like funding healthcare for illegal immigrants

If the Trump administration goes forward with an investigation into left-wing groups, the Open Society Foundation should be at the top of the list.

Vice President Vance Says We're Headed Towards a Shutdown Thanks to 'Unreasonable' Democrats

Earlier today, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson pushed back against Hakeem Jeffries' "absolutely absurd" claims about the Continuing Resolution. Here's what Townhall reported at the time:

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) pushed back on claims from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) on Sunday, insisting the Republican-passed continuing resolution is nonpartisan.

During an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” the Louisiana Republican was asked about Jeffries’ criticism of the legislation as a “reckless partisan bill that continues to gut the health care of the American people.” Johnson argued nothing could be further from the truth.

"That statement by my friend Hakeem is absolutely absurd," he said. "That there is nothing partisan about this continuing resolution, nothing. We didn't add a single partisan priority or policy rider at all. We're operating completely in good faith to give more time.

"The only thing that would gut health care, using his own phraseology there, is if we took Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer's demand here, because they want to cut $50 billion from rural hospitals," the speaker continued. "That's the new fund that we added in the Big Beautiful Bill, the working families tax cuts that we passed just a couple months ago. They want to gut that. They also want to hold up all this funding that I listed. I mean, the WIC program is something that we all champion for women, infants and children, nutrition. That would be held up.

Now, Vice President Vance is warning there will likely be a shutdown, and it's all the fault of Democrats.

"One of the things I admired about the President, but frankly the entire team's approach, during the conversation we just had with Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries was, you know, yeah, they have some crazy ideas. Giving taxpayer money to illegal aliens for healthcare, that's a crazy idea. Funding transgender surgeries in Peru, that's a crazy idea. But they actually had some ideas that I actually thought were reasonable, and they had some ideas that the President thought was reasonable. What's not reasonable is to hold those ideas as leverage and to shut down the government unless we give you everything that you want."

Vance continued, "There were multiple times where Leader Jeffries or Leader Schumer would say, 'You know what, we should be doing this,' and the president of the United States would say, 'Yeah, absolutely, let's have that conversation. But we're going to do it in the context of the people's government being open. We're not going to let you take the people's government hostage and then give you everything that you want."

Vance had more to say about the negotiations:

"If you look at what Chuck Schumer has said in the past," Vance said, "it's whatever our disagreements are, let's negotiate with them. Let's talk about them, let's figure out a bipartisan solution, but you don't shut the government down."

"We have to remember, they're very frustrated," Vance added, "they say that they are very frustrated about the fact that this negotiation has not taken place until today. But if you look at the original thing they did with this negotiation, it was a $1.5 trillion spending package basically saying to the American people, 'we want to give massive amounts of money hundreds of billions of dollars to illegal aliens for their health care,' while so Americans are struggling to pay their health care bills."

"We told them it was absurd," Vance said.

"You will hear a lot from...Democrats about the fact that American healthcare policy is broken. Well, we know that American healthcare policy is broken," Vance continued. "Well, we know that American healthcare policy is broken. We've been trying to fix it for the eight months that we've been in office. But every single thing that they accuse about being broken...is policy the Democrats have supported for the past decade. So if they want to talk about how to fix American healthcare policy, let's do it. The Speaker would love to do it. The Senate Majority Leader would love to do it."

Vance concluded his remarks by saying, "I think we're headed into a shutdown because the Democrats won't do the right thing. I hope they change their mind but we're going to see."
