Why CNN Says Dems Are Garbage

When CNN is comparing Democrats to a “hoarder’s basement” and flatly saying their “image is garbage,” something tectonic has shifted.

No, that’s not hyperbole. That’s the direct quote from Harry Enten, CNN’s own data analyst, who—God bless him—finally told a sliver of the truth. He looked at the Democratic Party's current state and couldn't resist calling it what the rest of America already knows it to be: a broken, festering, overflowing disaster of dysfunction and decay.

This isn’t Fox News saying it. It’s not Newsmax. It’s not even an op-ed from the Wall Street Journal. This is CNN, folks. The same CNN that’s tried desperately for years to play the PR firm for the Democratic National Committee.

So what’s got even CNN data nerds throwing in the towel?

Maybe it’s the fact that Joe Biden’s approval rating is now somewhere south of toenail fungus. Or that Kamala Harris polls worse than expired milk. Or that their so-called “coalition of the ascendant” has imploded into identity-obsessed infighting and political malpractice. Pick your poison.

But the real kicker is what’s happening in contrast—because Trump 2.0 is running circles around these clowns.

Just this week, Senate Democrats tried to box him in, yet again. Chuck Schumer, with his usual arrogance, believed that if he could tie a few nominee approvals to a spending deal, he could outmaneuver the President.

He got told to go to hell.

Literally.

Trump looked him in the eye and gave him the Bronx farewell. “Go to hell, Chuck.”

Then Trump, in classic 4D chess fashion, closed the Senate session and sent everyone home for recess. Which means he now gets to unilaterally fill a slew of appointments without needing a single Democrat vote.

This isn’t just a mic drop. It’s an industrial-sized dumpster drop—right in the middle of the DNC’s playbook.

But this is what I mean when I say Trump 2.0 is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. He tried, in good faith, to play ball. He extended the olive branch on bipartisan nominations. And what did the Democrats do? They tried to turn the process into another swamp game—another opportunity to hold the country hostage.

So Trump did what leaders do: he cut through the noise, saw the dysfunction for what it was, and acted in the best interest of the American people.

This man has no time for the petty games of the Beltway. He sees the rot, he knows how it festers, and unlike the last twenty years of politicians, he actually does something about it.

Let me be blunt: Trump is on a mission. A real one. Not the kind they write slogans about and then abandon after election day. No, this is something different. This is personal. This is legacy-defining. He wants a nation his grandchildren will be proud to inherit—and he’s putting in the work, every single day, to get us there.

And for the first time in a long time, the American people can see the difference. They see a President who gets things done. Who doesn’t sell them out to lobbyists or cave to corporate wokeism. Who doesn’t take cues from the World Economic Forum or whoever’s calling the shots behind the Biden puppet act.

They see strength.

They see clarity.

And yes, they see the contrast.

While the Democrats are off doing Lord-knows-what—releasing criminals, keeping the border open, pushing pronoun policies into elementary schools, and printing money like we’ve got a tree that grows it—Trump is rebuilding the house they tried to burn down.

He’s not waiting for permission. He’s not asking for bipartisan cover. He’s using every legal and constitutional tool at his disposal to make America work again.

And it’s working.

Don’t take my word for it—look at the panic on the Left. Look at how CNN is turning on its own party. Look at how Chuck Schumer, usually so smug, was left with egg on his face this week.

And with Democrats so divided they can’t even agree on what country they’re supposedly fighting for, it’s gotten so bad that New York City—the liberal mecca of the nation—is on the verge of the unthinkable: electing a Sharia Law–friendly mayoral candidate who wants to defund the police, abolish private property, and turn Manhattan into a socialist surveillance zone.

Yes, the party of “progress” is regressing so fast, they’re practically campaigning for 8th-century governance in the most iconic city in America.

The data, the optics, the wins—they all point to one undeniable truth:

If the election—or even the midterms—were held tomorrow, Trump’s policies would win in a landslide.

He’s the only one in the room who seems to remember what actual leadership looks like. And the American people, fed up with weak men and weaponized bureaucrats, are rewarding him with surging support. Even Democratic internal polling is starting to quietly admit the obvious: Trump’s boldness, decisiveness, and policy priorities are exactly what the nation is craving.

So yes, CNN got something right this week. The Democrats are a mess. Their image is garbage. Their party looks and smells like a hoarder’s basement—one filled with failed ideas, broken promises, and cobwebbed corruption.

But unlike CNN, Trump isn’t content just to observe it. He’s lighting the match and taking out the trash.

Good riddance.

Anatomy of a Coup: The Obama-Era Big Lie That Launched a National Delusion

This is the third installment in a series. Read Part I: “They Buried the Truth to Destroy Trump” and Part II: “The Analyst Who Knew Too Much”

They didn’t just bury the truth. They built a monument to their Big Lie.

It’s a term the left loves to wield—usually against their enemies, never themselves.

But the real Big Lie was the con they ran on the American people: the Russia Hoax. And that monument? It’s now crumbling beneath a flood of declassified documents pouring into public view.

Yes, it matters in this moment. The truth matters. And despite the tired, flailing insistence that there’s “nothing new” here, there’s plenty we’ve learned—and much more still to come.

By mid-December 2016, Obama administration officials knew four things:

  • The Russians had not tampered with the vote.
  • The Steele dossier was Clinton-funded opposition research.
  • Intelligence analysts did not concur that Russia had favored Trump, and
  • The Clinton campaign had crafted a plan to falsely link Trump to Russia—specifically to distract from her political vulnerabilities.

But none of that mattered to them.

According to the newly declassified July 2025 HPSCI report, the goal was never to deliver a balanced intelligence product. It was to impose a narrative—one that could politically wound the incoming president and reverse the result they had failed to prevent at the ballot box.

The December that follows a presidential election is supposed to be a time of transition—especially after a hard-fought campaign. The American tradition holds that even in defeat, power is transferred peacefully and honorably. For years, the left has sermonized about the sacred duty of a “peaceful transition of power.”

There was nothing peaceful about December 2016. What unfolded was a deliberate, coordinated attempt to undermine—and ultimately destroy—the incoming Trump administration before it ever took office. It was sabotage on a historic scale.

The outgoing Obama team sought to compromise Trump’s ability to govern from Day One. In their bitterness, they were willing to paralyze the government itself.

They wanted Trump to fail—and with him, America.

That’s why this may be the most nefarious political scandal in American history.

And so they did what they always do: they cooked the books, silenced the dissenters, and blamed their misdeeds on someone else.

Projection is their default. The lies, the scandals, the abuses—they graft onto their enemies what they themselves have done. They invert the truth with surgical precision—because they know all too many in the media will amplify it.

It is long past time for accountability.

This deliberate campaign to cripple a duly elected president and his incoming administration was a premeditated act. They weaponized our intelligence agencies, shredded constitutional norms, and poisoned faith in our republican institutions.

They jeopardized U.S. foreign policy, triggered a diplomatic breakdown with the world’s most heavily armed nuclear power, and made America—and our allies—less safe.

All because they lost an election.

The House Intelligence Committee’s newly declassified findings are staggering.

The Intelligence Community Assessment wasn’t an objective appraisal—it was a politically commandeered document, warped into an anti-Trump manifesto, and riddled with deviations from established tradecraft.

Its key judgment—that Russia favored Trump—was inserted over internal dissent and lacked firm evidentiary support.

Far from a neutral analysis, the ICA was a custom-built narrative. And it served a deeply partisan end: to delegitimize, discredit, and ultimately destroy the duly elected President of the United States.

To this day, for many on the left, it remains a sacramental truth—their secular catechism. The Russia Hoax is the origin story of their hatred for all things Trump. They cling to it with theological fervor, facts be damned.

Yet here are key findings from the declassified House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) report—findings that Russia itself withheldfrom public amplification during the 2016 election, undercutting any supposed preference for Donald Trump:

  • Russian intelligence assessed that top Democrats—including President Obama—were alarmed by Clinton’s health. The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported that Democratic leaders viewed her condition as a serious threat to her election prospects, citing “psycho-emotional problems,” including “uncontrolled fits of anger, aggression, and cheerfulness.”
  • Clinton was allegedly on a regimen of “heavy tranquilizers” and suffered from multiple serious health conditions, including type 2 diabetes, ischemic heart disease, deep vein thrombosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
  • SVR intercepts revealed internal DNC communications outlining a plan to falsely tie Trump to Russia. These communications described Clinton as “obsessed with a thirst for power”. They also indicated that her campaign sought to distract from her political vulnerabilities by linking Trump to Russian interference.
  • The SVR obtained intelligence indicating political interference in the FBI’s Clinton email investigation. Russian sources reported that senior DOJ officials were briefing the Clinton campaign on the status of the probe—and that pressure was being applied to limit the inquiry’s scope.
  • The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported secret meetings between State Department officials and religious groups,in which U.S. officials allegedly offered increased U.S. funding (e.g., via USAID) and diplomatic backing for their work in post-Soviet countries—conditioned on support for Clinton’s candidacy.
  • Intelligence disputed that Russia favored Trump. Internal dissent existed when the ICA was drafted; some analysts concluded the evidence reflected a disruption strategy, not a preference for Trump.
  • ICA authors and investigators were blocked from accessing key records. Critical context was withheld, impeding an objective intelligence product.
  • The ICA violated tradecraft and internal standards by ignoring evidence that Putin withheld damaging material on Clinton. Despite having “significant information available to Moscow to denigrate Secretary Clinton,” the ICA did not incorporate it—violating the standard requiring inclusion of all relevant intelligence.

They knew the truth. They lied. They manipulated. And they got away with it—until now.

The Brennan-Clapper-Comey axis didn’t act as guardians of national security. They worked as saboteurs—partisan operatives in suits and lanyards, weaponizing America’s intelligence agencies to sully a duly-elected president.

The Russia Hoax wasn’t just a smear. It was a state-sponsored clandestine attack—waged by U.S. officials against the incoming government.

A silent coup, cloaked in classified briefings and choreographed leaks. And it has echoed ever since.

The implications are sweeping. The examination of the Big Lie has only just begun. But the accountability phase is long overdue.

The American people weren’t simply misled—they were targeted and deceived not by foreign adversaries, but by domestic conspirators embedded in the highest ranks of power. Their goal wasn’t to defend democracy. It was to override it.

History will deliver its verdict. But justice—real, unapologetic, and unrelenting—must not wait that long.

The Left and Losers

For the past 20 years, the left has made heroes of some of the biggest drekh in the world.

There was a time long ago when the Democrats found their heroes in people who were at least on the surface somewhat inspiring: JFK, RFK (Sr.), Martin Luther King and others were at least in their public personae people of hope and positive approach to life. That has gone. For quite some time now, the left/Democrats have thrown their lot with human garbage. The question is why.

I started to notice that the Democrats turned losers into heroes with the story of Michael Brown in 2014. Brown was a small-time criminal in Ferguson, Missouri. The actual events on the day he died seem to be as follows: he went to a store where he was recorded on camera stealing a box of cigars. When confronted by police who found him and a friend walking down the middle of the street and interfering with traffic, he attacked an officer and tried to take his gun. After he ran away from the squad car, he charged at the officer who went after him. The officer shot Brown dead. The multiple autopsies disappointed the left when the “Hands up, don’t shoot” narrative died with the bullets having entered the criminal’s front as he faced the policeman whom he charged.

So you have a criminal who was involved in criminal activity. No, he did not kill a dozen people or walk off with the Mona Lisa. But he was a criminal and the police—the same police on whom we rely for order in our society—came to deal with him. He tried to take a policeman’s gun and he turned to attack the policeman for a second time when neutralized. Though the aggressive federal investigation into the actions of the cop could not find that he did anything wrong, the policeman had to change his name and move away from his home in Ferguson.

Why would the left tie their wagon to such a horrible horse? The fellow had little redeeming in his life and the only factor that they could try to hang on to was police brutality. The autopsy and multiple state and federal investigations showed that the cops did no wrong. That should have been the end of it with everyone praising the cops. But the left had bought into the story and could not give it up. Their hero was a local criminal when the real hero should have been the cop who stopped him.

Ferguson was small potatoes compared to George Floyd and Minnesota in 2020. Floyd had an even longer rap sheet. He was high on fentanyl, which apparently was a bigger factor in his death than the actions of the arresting officers. Remember our honorable members of Congress taking a knee in memory of a guy who once put a gun to the stomach of a pregnant woman whom he was robbing. I’m not suggesting that our heroes have to be perfect, but if someone is known to have committed multiple crimes, why would the left/Democrats make him into an idol, complete with murals in Kabul and Washington? Would they have been happy to receive the counterfeit $20 bill which started his final interaction with the police?

The answer in both cases is the same: the left couldn't care less about Brown or Floyd. In these cases and others in big cities, the actions and outcomes gave Democrats a hammer to use against police, Donald Trump, Republicans, law-and-order prosecutors. Mrs. Waltz told us how much she enjoyed smelling the fires of the George Floyd fires, and as in days of yore, a police station was offered on the altar of diversity and burned to the ground. Stores were looted and burned, people were killed and injured—and for what? For a guy that not one person in Congress would let date his daughter. Their actions brought back memories of Hitler using the shooting death of Ernst vom Rath to put into motion the Kristallnacht pogrom against German and Austrian Jewry. Hitler no doubt knew nothing of the German diplomat but, like Rahm Emanuel, knew that one should never let a crisis go to waste. The Democrats would not have given either Brown or Floyd the right time of day in their lives; in their deaths, they found an opportunity to attack their political opponents for their own advantage.

One would think—maybe, hope—that the left would have a limit to the kind of dirtball that it would associate with in order to make political hay. For Republicans, even if David Duke said words of great wisdom, they would push him away with both hands. Not the left. They embraced Hamas from day one of the pogrom against the Jews. When clear evidence of mass rape, murder, torture, theft, and kidnapping became indisputable, the left never abandoned their new heroes. They wore their keffiyehs and demanded their goals: the death of Jews and the destruction of the state of Israel. Most people don’t put up pictures of mass rapists in their dorm rooms, but these are the same people who elevated a young guy who murdered an insurance CEO in cold blood. As with the blacks above, Hamas and Luigi are all but irrelevant. In both cases, the left sees an enemy—Jews/Israeli and CEOs of successful companies—being harmed and hurt. It would be like a Frenchman walking outside, only to see a Nazi killed by an Allied sniper. The Frenchmen would be thrilled. But there is a clear difference. The Nazis did real evil and did a lot of it in France and to the French people. Besides French Jews sent off to concentration camps, France had to pay enormous reparations to Germany, and many young French men were employed as slave labor. Israelis are not perfect and the CEO of UnitedHealthcare may have been involved in dubious financial activities, but neither was so evil as to justify the Democrats wildly embracing their murderers.

So, what’s going on? The left and its Democratic stooges have given up on building anything useful to Americans. They have no serious plan for the economy, policing, foreign policy, the border, immigration, etc. So all they can do is cheer those who harm their perceived enemies. Remember, the anti-Israel protests started in earnest well before Israel began its military response. So, Jews were ruthlessly murdered and the left came out to attack Israel and support Hamas. We’re talking sicko land and that’s where today’s left is. “Trans” supports the very people who would readily throw them off of a tall building—such is their hatred of Israel and Jews that they would rather hang out with their executioners rather than those chased and murdered. They do not have any positive heroes and the ones they praise are criminals or worse.

The left was broken by Donald Trump. With his election in 2016, they stopped being a party of the middle class and workers. Instead, they became a foil to orange man bad. Think of one positive policy position that they have today. I’ll wait to hear it from you; I don’t know of one reasonable policy they can offer normal Americans. An open border? Reparations to people who were never slaves? Electric car mandates to force you which car to own? The left is lost and one of its features today is to praise the worst of society.

Double Standard Exposed: MAGA Gear Banned at Public Events While Pride, Trans Flags Are Celebrated

In another display of a double standard, patriotic Americans are being blocked from wearing pro-Trump or conservative gear at public concerts and sporting events. Yet, Pride and trans flags are allowed to be freely displayed. At venues like NFL stadiums, pro-Trump shirts or MAGA hats have been confiscated or banned, with fans told that political attire isn’t allowed. Meanwhile, displays of Pride and trans flags are embraced—often part of official event branding or venue-supported inclusion campaigns.

In a video posted to X, a man taped himself being kicked out of a St. Louis City game for wearing a MAGA hat. The security guard can be heard saying that they don’t allow political paraphernalia. However, the man pointed out that there were pride flags and trans banners at the games.

Across America, public spaces like concerts, sporting events, and festivals are increasingly enforcing selective censorship that targets conservative voices while openly embracing progressive messaging. Pro-Trump apparel—whether it’s MAGA hats, shirts, or flags—has been banned or confiscated at venues where thousands of Americans gather to enjoy entertainment and support their favorite teams. Fans wearing such gear have been told their attire is “too political” and not allowed, sparking outrage among conservatives who feel their freedom of expression is being suppressed. In stark contrast, these same venues not only tolerate but actively promote Pride and transgender flags, symbols of progressive causes, as part of official celebrations or inclusion initiatives.

Another example came at a recent NBA game where a fan wearing a MAGA hat was confronted by security and told the hat was not allowed because it was “political.” Meanwhile, the same arena hosted a pre-game ceremony celebrating Pride Month, with players wearing rainbow jerseys and rainbow banners adorning the court.

Rolling Stone's Piece Defending the Dems' Russian Collusion Hoax Is Beyond Parody

Townhall

It’s not shocking that Rolling Stone would do this, but it’s still a bit jarring to see that they have zero shame. They claim—get this—that the new Russian collusion documents that have been released by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) were manufactured by Moscow. That’s right—all the files showing a massive seditious conspiracy by Democrats and the media is a Kremlin operation. I must laugh at this sloppy, brain-dead attempt at gaslighting and pivoting. The game is over, kids. You lost.

Grassley released the declassified appendix to the Durham report, which was the investigation into the origins of the Russian collusion hoax, which was recently discovered in a burn bag, along with thousands of other related documents, by FBI Director Kash Patel (via Rolling Stone):

Donald Trump and his allies are throwing every bucket of chum they can at their base in their ongoing efforts to distract from the administration’s bungling of the Jeffrey Epstein case, and this time they may have caught a fish that’s too big to fry.  Following a request from Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the FBI and DOJ agreed to declassify the so-called “Durham Annex,” a 29-page appendix to the Durham Report.

The annex was made public on Thursday, with FBI Director Kash Patel claiming it was part of a hidden trove of documents “buried in a back room at the FBI” that contained classified “evidence that the Clinton campaign plotted to frame President Trump and fabricate the Russia collusion hoax.”

It contained no such evidence, but that didn’t matter to the Trump allies desperate to cast prominent Democratic figures as anti-American criminals.

The original Durham Report was released by Trump-appointed Special Council John Durham in 2023, and examined the evidence underlying the federal investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. Durham was unable to find proof that the FBI or other government entities engaged in prosecutable misconduct targeting Trump. The president and his allies have nevertheless continued to try (and fail) to prove Democratic misconduct related to the investigation, while alleging Barack Obama and others should be indicted for treason over the “hoax.”

It did contain that evidence, which, coupled with the two document dumps from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, shows the most extensive intelligence operation in American history was inflicted upon us to cover the mess left by Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign. That email server she had while serving as Obama’s Secretary of State turned out to be a significant issue, which Matt Taibbi, a former contributing editor to Rolling Stone, expounded about at length over at Racket:

With the help of the declassified Durham material, we can explain the whole affair in three brushstrokes.

One, Hillary Clinton and her team apparently hoped to deflect from her email scandal and other problems via a campaign tying Trump to Putin. Two, American security services learned of these plans. Three — and this is the most important part — instead of outing them, authorities used state resources to massively expand and amplify her scheme. The last stage required the enthusiastic cooperation and canine incuriosity of the entire commercial news business, which cheered as conspirators made an enforcement target of Trump, actually an irrelevant bystander.

I’ve tiptoed for years around what I believed to be true about this case, worrying some mitigating fact might emerge. Now, there’s no doubt. Hillary Clinton got in a jam, and the FBI, CIA, and the Obama White House got her out of it by setting Trump up. That’s it. It was a cover-up, plain and simple…

At the outset of 2016, Hillary Clinton was in a world of self-inflicted hurt. Having put her entire life as Secretary of State onto a private server, opening up the possibility for an unprecedented penetration of American cybersecurity, she was facing a grave and damaging federal investigation. The story that she “chose not to keep” (read: delete) over 30,000 emails had been broken the previous year, and the details were appalling, with private computer specialist Paul Combetta belatedly wiping them out in what he called an “oh, shit” moment, three weeks after the issuance of a Congressional subpoena.

Clinton’s position was so unsteady by early 2016 that she made Bernie Sanders a real challenger for the Democratic nomination, losing New Hampshire in a landslide and essentially tying in Iowa, where she somehow lost 84% of the vote of women under 30. This was in addition to other problems, like an FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation that had been “put on hold” until after the 2016 vote, creeping issues with donors, and negative publicity around husband Bill. This forced her to scramble to do damage-control interviews, many of which just did more damage…

[…]

On top of all this, a cache of correspondence that the Justice Department Inspector General would later describe as “data exfiltrated…from various U.S. victims, including the Executive Office of the President (EoP), the State Department, the U.S. House of Representatives, [and] other federal agencies” had fallen into Russian hands. It contained material potentially very damaging to Clinton. Authorities were soon forced to plan for the possibility that it would get out.

This is the backdrop for the most key piece of information in the classified appendix to the investigation of Special Counsel Durham, whose probe fizzled with a semi-whimper in 2023, describing materials that “individuals affiliated with Russian intelligence services” hacked at some point prior to January 2016. What you need to know: Russians had a pile of emails and correspondence involving “government agencies, non-profit organizations, and think-tanks based in the United States.”

This pile of material ostensibly contained information about conversations between DNC chief Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and two members of the Open Society Foundation, Jeffrey Goldstein and Leonard Benardo. A Russian analysis of these communications described how investigations of possible preferential treatment of Clinton Foundation donors by the Department of State caused a “significant negative reaction” for Clinton within the party, and that Barack Obama was unwilling to “darken the final part of his presidency” with a scandal involving his successor.

I would say get better sources, but this is Rolling Stone. It’s the magazine that ran with a fake gang rape hoax at the University of Virginia, got sued over it, and lost. It’s astounding they still do stuff like this.

Trump Says Market Fallout Is Only Reason He Hasn’t Fired Fed Chair Powell

Townhall

President Donald Trump revealed Friday that there is one reason he has yet to fire Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell despite calls for him to be removed from his position amid criticism of the president over his tariffs.

During an interview on Newsmax, President Trump said he was warned against firing Jerome Powell, as his advisors believed it could shake up the markets. Otherwise, Trump said, he would have had no hesitation in removing him immediately.

“They say it would disturb the market,” Trump said. “I would remove him in a heartbeat, but they say it would disturb the market. He gets out in seven or eight months, and I’ll put somebody else in.”

President Trump was asked if it’s possible to remove Powell due to having “cause,” as the new headquarters are costing an estimated total of over $2 billion. In response, Trump criticized the high cost of a $2.9 billion renovation project for a federal building. He says the building isn’t that complex inside and claims he has a lot of experience with similar projects, citing his renovation of the Old Post Office into a hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue. He also boasts that he may know more about building and renovating than anyone.

“I will tell you, he’s got 2.9 billion dollars that they’re spending in this thing. Really more than that, if you include the whole project,” Trump continued. “It’s way over budget by hundreds of millions of dollars. He shouldn’t be doing that. It’s like it’s almost like he’s building a palace for himself, but he’s not going to be there much longer. Anyway, that’s the good news. He’ll never get to use it. No, the Fed rate is too high. Interest rates are too high. And despite that, we have a great economy.”

Trump has called on Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell to cut interest rates, pointing to his administration’s achievements with tariffs as justification. However, during their fourth meeting of 2025 in June, Fed officials decided to maintain the current target range at 4.25 percent to 4.5 percent. I’m July, Powell stated during a panel discussion that the Federal Reserve likely would have lowered interest rates already if not for Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs. His comments sparked demands for an investigation, and Trump amplified the pressure by sharing an article in which the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency called on Congress to investigate Powell’s spending on the Fed’s new headquarters.

Senate Officially Confirms Jeanine Pirro as U.S. Attorney for DC

Townhall

The U.S. Senate has confirmed Judge Jeanine Pirro as the next U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. The 50–45 vote signals a strong show of support from Senate Republicans, despite fierce opposition from Democrats who bristled at Pirro’s unapologetically tough stance on crime, illegal immigration, and political corruption. Her confirmation marks a pivotal moment as the Trump administration continues to restore accountability and crack down on the politicized justice system in Washington, D.C.

On Saturday, Jeanine Pirro remained one of more than 150 Trump nominees stalled in the Senate amid ongoing Democrat obstruction. President Trump has lauded Pirro as one of New York’s finest prosecutors, calling her “in a class by herself.” Republican senators had planned to move a broader batch of confirmations forward over the weekend, but eleventh-hour talks collapsed just before Pirro’s vote. As a result, only seven nominees were confirmed before lawmakers left town until September, leaving the bulk of Trump’s appointments—including several high-priority positions—still in limbo.

Pirro spent 15 years working as a county prosecutor, eventually becoming an assistant district attorney. In 1990, she was elected as a judge, and just three years later, she made history by becoming the first woman elected as Westchester County’s district attorney—the county’s highest-ranking law enforcement official.

After Pirro’s confirmation, the Senate still had a dozen votes to get through, prompting Majority Leader John Thune to request that senators remain in the chamber to speed up the process—no one objected. President Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday to commend Senate Republicans and Thune for pushing to confirm his nominees. He also criticized Democrats, accusing them of deliberately stalling the process and trying to block “wonderful and talented” individuals from being approved.

Her confirmation came days after the Senate approved the nomination of Emil Bove, Trump's former defense lawyer, to serve on a U.S. appeals court.

Liberal Media Outlet Forced to Apologize for Baseless Melania-Epstein Smear

Townhall

A prominent liberal media outlet was forced to issue a public apology after publishing a baseless hit piece targeting First Lady Melania Trump, claiming she introduced the president to Jeffrey Epstein. While the media spent years falsely painting Melania as aloof, this latest blunder proves what conservatives have known all along: the attacks on the Trump family are not just biased, they’re dishonest and increasingly indefensible.

The Daily Beast came under fire after publishing a report claiming that Melania Trump was introduced to Donald Trump by Jeffrey Epstein. The article stated that Melania arrived in New York in 1996 to pursue a modeling career, eventually meeting Trump, whom she married in 2005. The outlet’s podcast featured journalist Michael Wolff, who implied that Melania was “very involved” with Epstein during that time. However, following pushback from Melania’s legal team, the segment was swiftly removed and replaced with an editor’s note apologizing “for any confusion” over the story’s central claim.

"After this story was published, The Beast received a letter from First Lady Melania Trump’s attorney challenging the headline and framing of the article,” the editor’s note read. “After reviewing the matter, the Beast has taken down the article and apologizes for any confusion or misunderstanding."

"She’s introduced by a model agent, both of whom Trump and Epstein are involved with. She’s introduced to Trump that way,” Wolff claimed. “Epstein knows her well.”

However, even some left-leaning commentators stepped in to defend Melania, slamming Wolff for making unfounded and reckless claims.

New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman has taken aim at Wolff for repeatedly botching basic facts in his coverage of the Trump administration. Even Jeet Heer, a liberal writer for the left-leaning outlet The Nation, has called out Wolff for having a habit of stretching the truth in his past reporting.

Sunday Scripture and Reflection

https://www.bibleref.com/James/1/James-1-19.html

What does James 1:19 mean?

The opening passage of James instructed believers to maintain trust in God, even during hard times. In fact, believers are to consider their hardships as "joy," since trials are how God strengthens our faith. This raises the question of what it means to remain faithful to God—to continue to trust Him—even when the trials of life come our way. For one thing, those who trust God continue to obey Him. Starting in verse 19, James begins to describe what that obedience looks like.

Those who trust and obey God learn to adjust the speed of their listening and speaking. If God is truly in control, we can afford to take the time to understand. Rather than shooting from the hip, we can respond in a way that is helpful. Doubting that God is in control speeds up our mouth and slows down our mind.

As believers, we shouldn't be obsessed with ensuring that we are heard and understood in order to get what we want. When we act according to our immediate desires, and our immediate reactions, we feel a lack of control. And when we feel like we're losing control, we will get angry.

Notice that this is not a command to never feel anger. Anger is a human emotion that everyone experiences, and it can be justified. However, James' instruction here makes it clear that we can learn to control—or at least slow down—our angry responses. In fact, to refuse to let anger control us is itself an act of faith. It is a choice to believe that the Father is in control, that He loves us, and that He is good.
