How Far Will the Deep State Go?

Once upon a time, there was a rock-ribbed conservative U.S. senator who tried mightily to get an ΓΌber-conservative law passed but was met with great resistance by his liberal colleagues.  This went on not for months, but for almost two years.

But he was so persistent and determined that those same resistant colleagues — and their lapdogs in the left-wing media — started to call him “bulldog” — even, at times, Senator Bulldog!

Then, one beautiful spring day, he was both astounded and delighted to learn that he had enough votes to pass his proposed law.  The vote was to be taken shortly after the Senate came back from lunch.

As the senator walked along Constitution Avenue to his favorite lunch spot, The Capitol Hill Club, enjoying the gorgeous sight of the wisteria and magnolias and cherry blossoms in bloom, he felt ebullient and redeemed and also proud that his persistence, and the righteousness of his cause, would finally see the light.

There he was, Central Casting, walking tall in his blue suit, white shirt (with cuff links!), red tie… the perfect symbolic colors, he thought, for this milestone day in his life.

Hello, Senator!

As he strode along, another Central Casting figure came up to his side — tall, handsome, also dressed to the nines.

“Hello, Senator.  How are you today?”

The senator, long in public service, was accustomed to people he had never met greeting him, saying hello, wishing him well, or advising him on political matters.  And, of course, insulting him.

“Very well.  It’s a beautiful day.”

“Well, Senator,” said the stranger, “I know when you get back to the Senate, you’re going to vote ‘no’ on that proposed legislation.”

At this presumptuous, ridiculous, insulting, and bizarre remark — at the very idea that he would vote “no” on the legislation he had worked on assiduously for almost two years — he turned to the strange man and asked, with irritation in his voice, “Do I know you?”

“Well, no, Senator,” the stranger replied.  “We’ve never met.  But I do know that your daughter just got an off-campus apartment in Virginia.  Have a nice day, Senator!”

With that, the stranger jumped into a dark sedan that at that moment had conveniently pulled up to the curb, and he was gone.

Fact or Fiction?

I shared the above imaginary scenario with a few “inside D.C.” Democrat and Republican people I know — two acclaimed journalists, a hugely prominent Democrat politician, a longtime aide to an influential member of the U.S. Congress, and a high-ranking military official — and asked them if they thought my introduction rang true, was plausible, or was not at all credible.

To a person, they said it was all too plausible.  “Don’t change a word,” one person wrote.

That was no surprise to me, because it is now clear even to skeptics and cynics that what the American public has known, or strongly suspected, for decades is that the D.C. swamp — meaning the government that We the People elected — is a virtual cesspool of corruption, malfeasance, grift, payoffs, bribes, and the very definition of criminality.

But is it also the very definition — as the above scenario suggests — of murder for hire?

The V.P.?

Even after 62 years, the question of who assassinated President John F. Kennedy in 1963 remains undecided, with theories ranging from a cover-up decision by the Warren Commission, which blamed the 46-year-old president’s death on the “lone gunman” Lee Harvey Oswald, to author Rob Morrow’s contention and conclusion that the entire tragedy was conceived, choreographed, and carried out by JFK’s V.P., Lyndon Baines Johnson.  The latter recommends these two resources as proof: LBJ: Mastermind of the JFK Assassination by Phillip Nelson and this scholarly article by Jeremy Kuzmarov for Covert Action Magazinewhich indicts LBJ for JFK’s death.

No Exit Wound?

Vince Foster served as White House counsel during the first six months of the Clinton administration.  According to The Washington Post, although Foster had risen to “the pinnacle of the Arkansas legal establishment,” he was unhappy at the White House and became depressed.  In July 1993, 48-year-old Foster was found dead of a gunshot wound to his mouth in Fort Marcy Park.  Although five official government investigations ruled his death a suicide, conspiracy theories persisted, including that there was no exit wound; that the way Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff, Maggie Williams, handled Foster’s files and documents immediately after his death was fishy; and that the Clintons themselves were involved in his death.  Strangely, in 2004, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that pictures of the scene and autopsy should not be released.

The Infamous Laundry List

Well, what a coincidence!  The following year, 1993, the Clinton Body Count List made its debut, asserting that both Bill and Hillary Clinton  had secretly had their political opponents murdered, often making it look like suicides.  At the time, the list totaled 50 victims, but since then it has ballooned, with political consultant and lobbyist Roger Stone asserting that the Clintons were responsible for the deaths of dozens of people, including Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and John F. Kennedy, Jr.

A Bullet Hole?

On April 3, 1996, Ron Brown, 54, a lawyer, former Navy captain, politician, and lobbyist who was the United States secretary of commerce during President Clinton’s first term, and before that the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, was killed, along with 34 others, in a 1996 plane crash in Croatia.  The Air Force attributed the crash to pilot error and a poorly designed landing approach, but conspiracists suspected a cover-up because Brown was under investigation for corruption and because doctors conducting an autopsy found a circular wound on top of his head, which they discounted as a bullet hole, but others theorized to the contrary.

Murdered?

After helping The Huffington Post and The Drudge Report get off the ground, conservative journalist Andrew Breitbart founded Breitbart News, which was credited with exposing the Anthony Weiner texting scandal and the alleged vote-rigging of ACORN, among other blockbuster news events.

Previously left-leaning, Breitbart changed his political views, describing himself as “85% conservative and 15% libertarian.”  He took on liberal icons like Nancy Pelosi, and hours after Sen. Ted Kennedy died in August 2009, Breitbart called him a “villain,” a “duplicitous bastard,” and “a special pile of human excrement,” adding, “Sorry, he destroyed lives.  And he knew it,” referring to Kennedy’s actions during the Chappaquiddick incident, the Robert Bork Supreme Court nomination, and the Clarence Thomas Supreme Court nomination.

On February 29, 2012, Breitbart collapsed on a street near his home in Brentwood and died the next day at the age of 43 of heart failure, according to an autopsy.  Eerily, just a couple of weeks later, the coroner who worked on Breitbart’s body died by poisoning.

In the International Business Times, journalist Amanda Remling wrote in an article entitled “Andrew Breitbart Cause of Death: Was He Assassinated?” that “right before the blogger’s death he claimed to have videos that showed President Obama’s ties to radicals in the 1980s.  The videos are going to come out, Breitbart had said.  The narrative is going to come out that Barack Obama met a bunch of silver ponytails back in the 1980s like Bill [Ayers] and Bernadine Dorhn who, equally radical, said ‘One day we’re going to have the presidency.’”

Punished?

On July 10, 2016, at 4:18 A.M., Seth Rich, an employee of the Democratic National Convention, was shot two times in the back and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died at the age of 27.  According to writer Mark Oliver, “rumors and theories started to spread about why a young man in the prime of his life had met his end on a dark street in Washington, D.C.  The police said it was an attempted robbery gone wrong, but hard evidence discounted that theory.  However, stories soon started to spread that Seth’s death was planned, and that he was the man who had leaked the Democratic Party’s e-mails to Wikileaks,” a website cofounded by Julian Assange, whose past and present involve both creativity and imprisonment.  According to this website, “Wikileaks has never officially said that Rich was the source of their leak, but they have done pretty much everything they can to suggest it.”

The Grace of God

And they still haven’t found out who ordered the hit — twice! — on President Trump!

Target?

A wealthy and educated European-born and raised socialite, Ghislaine Maxwell moved to New York in 1990 after her father, media mogul Robert Maxwell, bought the New York Daily News and chose her to act as his emissary.  She is famous for collaborating with the financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on his island home in the Caribbean.  In court documents, Epstein’s accusers allege that Maxwell acted as a recruiter, an instructor, and in some cases a participant in the abuse he practiced.  In 2021, she was found guilty of child sex–trafficking and other offences and sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment.

Now the House Oversight Committee and the U.S. Department of Justice has summoned Maxwell to testify.  But mmmmm...House breaks early when the Epstein issue comes up!

If there is no Epstein client list, as Attorney General Bondi and President Trump have pronounced, Maxwell can waltz into D.C. with no bodyguards and no worries.  But if there is a list, we have to ask ourselves: What could possibly go wrong?

As I’ve said in many articles, this is the short list.  But it makes you wonder, doesn’t it, if all the lofty verbiage our politicians express about their intentions to better our lives is simply a glib cover-up for the criminality they routinely engage in.

Details emerge on University of Washington’s secretive sunlight-dimming test

Details have emerged about a highly secretive and ultimately aborted solar geoengineering experiment primarily led by a team of researchers from the University of Washington’s Marine Cloud Brightening Program.

An exclusive report by Politico’s E&E News published Sunday and based on hundreds of documents obtained through public records act requests details how researchers deliberately withheld information from local officials and the public to “avoid scaring them” about their weathering-altering experiment.

Scholars had planned to enhance the reflectivity of clouds over a stretch of the Pacific Ocean larger than Puerto Rico.

The article delves into the ethical implications of solar geoengineering research to reverse global warming by reflecting sunlight to cool the planet, with University of Washington official downplaying “the magnitude of the proposed experiment and its potential to change weather patterns” in a statement to the news outlet.

“Instead, they focused on the program’s goal of showing that the instruments for making clouds could work in a real-world setting. They also pushed back on critics’ assertions that they were operating secretively, noting that team members had previously disclosed the potential for open-ocean testing in scientific papers,” Politico reported.

A Department of Energy spokesperson told Politico it helped fund University of Washington “research on how ambient aerosols affect clouds,” but said the agency hadn’t supported “deliberate field deployment of aerosols into the environment.”

According to documents obtained by Politico, researchers’ strategy was to keep their plans from the public and local officials. University of Washington researchers were joined by SilverLining and SRI International.

One text message stated, “We think it’s safest to get air quality review help and are pursuing that in advance of engaging, but I’d avoid scaring them overly.”

Politico added:

But behind the scenes, they were planning a much larger and potentially riskier study of salt water-spraying equipment that could eventually be used to dim the sun’s rays — a multimillion-dollar project aimed at producing clouds over a stretch of ocean larger than Puerto Rico.

…At such scales, meaningful changes in clouds will be readily detectable from space,” said a 2023 research plan from the university’s Marine Cloud Brightening Program. The massive experiment would have been contingent upon the successful completion of the thwarted pilot test on the carrier deck in Alameda, according to the plan. The records offer no indication of whether the researchers or their billionaire backers have since abandoned the larger project.

The 2024 test was ultimately halted by the Alameda, Calif., city council.

Sarah Doherty, an atmospheric and climate science professor at the university who leads the program, told Politico the Marine Cloud Brightening Program does not “recommend, support or develop plans for the use of marine cloud brightening to alter weather or climate.”

She said it remains focused on researching the technology, not deploying it, and there are no “plans for conducting large-scale studies that would alter weather or climate.”

Will Democrats Exterminate America’s ‘MAGAts’?

In this age of information overload, stories come and go before we even have a chance to understand them.  Six weeks ago in Minnesota, an assassin disguised as a police officer murdered one prominent state Democrat and her husband and critically wounded another Democrat and his wife.  The alleged perpetrator sent a written confession to FBI director Kash Patel.  He was a political appointee of Democrat governor Tim Walz and claims to have been part of a secret operation to benefit Walz directly.  Former president Joe Biden and former vice president Kamala Harris attended funeral services for the victims.

The story is bizarre, and it will probably be a long time before the public learns more about the events that culminated in the political assassination of one lawmaker and the attempted assassination of another.  In an era when corporate news is thoroughly corrupted and consequential stories are regularly buried for partisan political reasons (e.g., Hunter Biden’s incriminating laptop and Jeffrey Epstein’s pedophile beach buddies), we may never know exactly what happened.

However, there is an important part of this story that can be told: Democrats and the corporate news media’s scandalous rush to blame President Trump and MAGA voters for the Minnesota attacks.  Disregarding the multiple assassination attempts on President Trump and his own role in inciting an assassination attempt against Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh, Senator Chuck Schumer fumed, “When political opponents are treated like enemies, danger follows.  And that’s what Donald Trump has done.”  Senator Chris Murphy lied, “The Minnesota assassin appears to be a hate-filled right winger.”

Corporate news propagandists did their part to blame Trump for the Minnesota slayings before any facts on the ground could be established.  Ignoring actual news that flyers for the Democrat-organized “No Kings” protests were found in the alleged killer’s car, MSNBC “news” personalities encouraged a “No Kings” organizer to blame the Minnesota shootings on Trump!  CNN senior reporter Edward-Isaac Dovere insinuated that President Trump’s deployment of Marines in Los Angeles following Democrat-organized anti-ICE riots and the detention of a Democrat senator who assaulted Department of Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem were directly connected to the political assassinations in Minnesota.  Lest Dovere’s baseless allegation be misunderstood, CNN’s “chief media analyst” Brian Stelter brainlessly opined, “And it all points in the same direction.”  Leave it to the broken compass–wielding captain of Reliable Sources to promote unreliable sources who spout asinine propaganda.

Not content to let CNN and MSNBC defame Trump and MAGA Americans without throwing a little libelous gasoline on the fire, legal luminaries cast aspersions, too.  University of Michigan law professor Barb McQuade found a way to blame the Minnesota shootings on the election integrity protests at the U.S. Capitol four years ago: “When you normalize political violence by pardoning Jan. 6 attackers, can we be surprised when people target public officials?”  Harvard law professor Laurence Tribe took the prize for the dumbest comment regarding an event that had triggered an avalanche of dumb comments: “Does anyone think these unspeakably evil political assassinations of Democratic lawmakers would’ve occurred without the vicious permission structure erected by Trump, Vance, Rubio, and their MAGAts?”

Larry’s inane pontifications could fill a book entitled How the Mighty Have Fallen.  Tribe has been celebrated as one of the country’s leading jurisprudential intellects for most of his career.  He is an academic star at Harvard and was once on the Supreme Court shortlist of every Democrat presidential wannabe.  Yet he spends an awful lot of time on social media expressing support for every leftist conspiracy theory.  He is the “old man yelling at the clouds” meme in real life, except all the self-designated “smart people” assure us that he’s worth admiring.  Of course, in his early commentary about the Minnesota shootings, Tribe was — as so often proves to be the case — entirely wrong.

There is gold to be mined from Tribe’s reckless stupidity.  He reveals how hopelessly partisan and cognitively one-dimensional he and his cohorts are by ignoring the numerous instances of Democrat-led violence this last decade: the attempted assassination of Republican lawmakers playing softball, repeated acts of physical violence against Senator Rand Paul, the Antifa arson attacks on city neighborhoods, the costly Black Lives Matter riots, the assassination attempts on President Trump, the murder of a health care insurance CEO, the organized ambushes on ICE agents, the assaults on Jewish college students, the murder of an elderly Jew by an illegal alien Hamas-supporter throwing Molotov cocktails.  The list goes on and on, yet Tribe is blind to it all.

As an overrated academic without enough intellectual patience to wait for facts that might undermine his own prejudices, Tribe immediately pinned the blame for the Minnesota shootings on “Trump, Vance, Rubio, and their MAGAts.”  Their MAGAts?  Please take a moment to appreciate how similar Tribe’s disgusting “MAGAt” insult is to the Nazi propaganda that regularly dehumanized Jews as rats, cockroaches, vultures, and lice.  Hitler’s “Third Reich” used mass media to convince Germans that Jews should be seen as parasites.  Larry Tribe describes a hundred million MAGA Americans in the exact same way.  This is who he is.  He and the people who associate with him view MAGA Americans as “less than human” animals that should be exterminated.

It is important for MAGA Americans to understand how the left’s intellectual heroes are already paving the way for a future when Trump-supporters will be more openly treated as second-class citizens.  Given that J6 defendants spent years in jail awaiting trials for bogus trespass charges while Antifa and BLM domestic terrorists rarely face serious prosecutions, MAGA Americans are well acquainted with two-tiered justice.  That a legal titan such as Tribe would nonchalantly condemn them as maggots, however, should remind Americans that rank politicized courtrooms are only an unsavory appetizer to future gruesome feasts of state-sponsored violence and murder.  Listen to Larry Tribe if you want to know how the political left intends to vilify Trump-supporters in the years to come.

Finally, I want to draw your attention to Tribe’s use of the term “permission structure.”  This is a tool of political persuasion that Democrat strategist David Axelrod first popularized.  Blending the worlds of mass psychology and commercial advertising, Axelrod has taught Democrats that the best way to convince voters to jettison their prior beliefs is to sucker them into thinking that by doing so, they will be viewed as “better people” in society.  It’s a cynical appeal to human vanity that provides “scaffolding for someone to embrace change [he] might otherwise reject.”

You’ve seen this play out over the last few decades, even if you didn’t know it had a name.  To prove that you’re not racist, vote for Barack Obama!  To prove that you’re not anti-science, embrace the government’s new “climate change” taxes!  To prove that you’re caring, celebrate socialized medicine!  To prove that you’re compassionate, welcome tens of millions of unvetted illegal immigrants!  If you refuse to do any of these things, you’re definitely an uneducated “Christian nationalist” and “white supremacist.”

This is psychological manipulation on a grand scale, and Axelrod, Obama, and their Democrat armies have exploited their control over corporate news media and social media platforms to shape public opinion in ways that augment and cement Democrat power.  When Tribe casually mentions “permission structures” as if they were MAGA tools, he reveals two things about himself: (1) Even at the age of eighty-three, Tribe is not intellectually independent or confident enough to resist the gaudy academic gimmicks of our time, and (2) He sees Axelrod and Obama’s mass psychological manipulation as justified but any MAGA response as “vicious.”

When Democrats and their institutional mouthpieces show us who they are, we should believe them.  They are liars and manipulators who see us as vermin.

Democrats Accidentally Tell the Truth About What They’re Trying to Do

There are few things more enjoyable than watching a couple of Democrats talking to each other about how they’re either “winning” or soon will be and how to make it happen. It’s like watching a baby giraffe try to stand up for the first time…on ice…in a tornado – they have no idea what they’re doing or how to get it done. But they’re going to try, bless their hearts, they’re going to try.

Democrats aren’t really trying when it comes to winning (or losing) elections because they either A) can’t bring themselves to admit when they’ve lost (I’m old enough to remember when denying election results was a “threat to democracy!”) or B) believe they simply have to learn how to sell their poison positions better, like there is a secret combination of words out there that will make the 80 percent of the country based in reality think that it’s not only OK for men to compete against women in sports, but it’s healthy to sterilize pre-teens and mutilate their genitals in the name of “tolerance.”

Did I mention how lost Democrats are?

The most amusing part of flipping to MSNBC for as long as your stomach can hold down the last meal you ate is to see just how far away from “getting it” they still are. While it’s not just the things listed above, and the many other things just like it, it is the attitude. Listening to a Democrat talk about even talking to Republicans or just simply Americans who aren’t associated with either party but do not obediently follow whatever Democrats tell them to do, is like watching that baby giraffe try to do calculus.

They, these leftists, view everyone who is not them with contempt. You don’t need me to tell you that, watch any Rachel Maddow monologue and you will feel what is beyond hatred for those who do not obey. But talking to their fellow Americans is treated like a trip to the zoo or some wild excursion into a parallel universe that is worthy of a medal and a statue (one that their side won’t try to tear down, at least for now).

A Texas state legislator named James Talarico was recently on MSNBC – I don’t have to mention his party affiliation, as I’ve already said he was on MSNBC (which is a big part of their problem) – to whine about redistricting and gerrymandering. I live in Maryland, where Democrats expressly admitting under oath to doing that to Republicans, reducing the number from GOP House members from 3 to 1. But Democrats don’t care about that, it aids them, it’s only when Republicans return the favor that they get their panties in a wad.

MSNBC personality Katy Tur, seemingly angry over someone years ago dropping the “d” from the end of her last name and determined to earn it back, asked, “How do you break through those algorithms? How do you break through to somebody who's only watching one perspective and believes that the Democrats are trying to destroy the country?” Katy either lacks the self-awareness of a house plant or doesn’t watch MSNBC (who could blame her?).

To that, Talarico responded, “Well, it's going to require Democrats getting outside of our comfort zone. It's why I went on Joe Rogan's podcast. It's why I've been on Fox News. It's why I've been on the Christian Broadcasting Network. These are not necessarily friendly places for a Democrat, but it's necessary if people are going to hear directly from us about our values and our vision. Politics is about addition, not subtraction. It's easy to stay in your bubble, but we have to break out of those bubbles if we're going to build a big coalition and take power back for the people.”

He went on Fox and CBN and survived? Rogan isn’t exactly a conservative, he’s just not a wuss. The odd of him diving across the desk and beating anyone to death with a microphone are pretty low (like maybe 15 percent), so it’s not exactly like serving in a war. But these are scary things to Democrats – the idea of being asked questions on issues you don’t really want to talk about or be challenged on should not be a point of pride, it should be a source of embarrassment.

This is what happens when a political party locks itself in a box and tries to block out the world. Talarico gave the game away when he said “we desperately need to remake this broken political system in our own image.” That’s many things, none of which are “what democracy looks like.”

Democrats are dangerous and hold anyone who is not them in total contempt. Return the favor, while you still can.

Trump says ‘probably won’t’ attend G20 summit in South Africa

US President Donald Trump said Tuesday he did not plan to attend the G20 summit in South Africa in November, rehashing debunked claims of white citizens being systematically persecuted and killed in the country.

Asked aboard Air Force One if he planned to attend the summit, Trump said: “No, I think maybe I’ll send somebody else, because I’ve had a lot of problems with South Africa… A lot of people are being killed. So I think I probably won’t, I’d like to, but I don’t think I will.”

Senator John Kennedy Dismisses Calls for Gun Control in Wake of NYC Shooting: ‘Need More Idiot Control'

By Rusty Weiss  | 7:00 AM on July 29, 2025  |  RedState

Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) dismissed calls for more restrictive gun control laws after a shooting rampage in a Midtown Manhattan skyscraper Monday, where a gunman killed four people, including an NYPD officer, before taking his own life.

Kennedy's comments, made during an appearance with Fox News personality Sean Hannity, directly addressed the sadly predictable chorus of left-wing calls for further gun control following a high-profile shooting. They never let a crisis go to waste, after all.

New York State has some of the strictest gun laws in the United States.

The Republican senator argued that America has enough gun laws and instead needs "idiot control" to address such violence.

“On Capitol Hill, probably beginning in the morning, there’ll be the inevitable call by some of my colleagues for more gun control laws,” Kennedy envisioned.

“We’ve got hundreds of gun control laws, Sean. Maybe thousands. We don’t need more gun control, we need more idiot control, and I don’t know exactly how to do that," he lamented.

Trump Stands Strong in Protecting Second Amendment After FSU Tragedy: ‘The Gun Doesn’t Do the Shooting’

New York requires permits for purchasing and possessing handguns and semi-automatic rifles, enforces universal background checks, and has implemented the NY SAFE Act, which bans certain assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.

The state also has a red flag law, prohibits open carry of handguns, and imposes strict concealed carry regulations, with additional restrictions in New York City. None of these stopped this madman.

As former spokesperson for the National Rifle Association, Dana Loesch, points out, the shooter's weapon was likely not legal, meaning the gun control laws implemented by anti-Second Amendment extremist lawmakers in New York did not work as intended.

While Kennedy stated he wasn't sure how to go about implementing "idiot control" to stop deranged shooters in America, he did hearken back to "stop and frisk" tactics that were extraordinarily successful when Rudy Giuliani was mayor of New York City.

“The other thing that, frankly, New York’s going to have to face, is the issue of whether we should bring back more aggressive stop and frisk, which is a perfectly legal law enforcement tactic,” suggested Kennedy.

Giuliani used ‘broken windows’ policing (enforcing penalties for minor crimes to deter major ones), and stop and frisk combined to make New York a city where tourists and residents felt safe during his tenure. When was the last time you felt safe heading into NYC?

President Trump earlier this year responded to a deadly shooting at Florida State University by reaffirming his commitment to the Second Amendment. In the process, the President pointed out that guns are not scary inanimate objects that fire on their own accord.

“I’m a big advocate of the Second Amendment,” Trump stated. “I have been from the beginning. I protected it. And these things are terrible. But the gun doesn’t do the shooting. The people do."

The gun doesn't do the shooting. The criminal does. And a criminal hell bent on killing doesn't give a hoot about what laws are on the books.

Kennedy also addressed those left-wing pundits who will invariably feel sympathy for the shooter over any mental health issues he may have been experiencing at the time of his heinous attack. There are unconfirmed reports from CNN sources that the shooter left behind a note blaming his behavior on chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).

“I don’t want to hear anyone feeling sorry for this guy who did this,” the Louisiana senator said. “I believe there’s objective evil in this world, and we saw it today. I’m just sorry.”
